"Fratello?!" Lovina yelled, walking around the school. She let out a groan, "when I get my hand on that boy I'm going to- ah!"

Lovina fell down, cursing out. A loud gasp was heard, followed by a high and worried voice, "I-I'm so sorry, Lovina, I didn't know you were there!" The Italian looked up to see that blonde girl with glasses. What was her name? She's in her English class... oh right, Madeline.

Madeline looked like she was about to cry. Lovina just sighed and stood up, dusting herself off, "What are you doing here?" she asked, crossing her arms and looking at the taller girl.

She twisted her hands in her sleeves and bit her lip, darting her eyes, "Nothing," she said, "I was just looking for... someone..." Lovina raised an eyebrow, "w-what are you doing here?"

Lovina could tell this girl was hiding something. Or, rather really everything. Madeline was just weird. She stuttered and was always so nervous and shy. Even if Lovina tried to be the nicest person in the world, Madeline would just faint. She needs a damn backbone, "Looking for Feliciano," she finally said, uncrossing her arms and putting a hand on her hip, "have you seen him? We need to get home, now."

Madeline shook her head, "Oh, no. Sorry, I haven't. But if I do, I'll tell you. Okay?"

And with that, the Canadian walked around her. Lovina wanted to go her own way, but something was telling her to say something, "Hey," she turned, almost embarrassed like, "who are you looking for?"

The younger of the two turned, too. Her face reddened a bit, and Lovina noticed, "Um-"

"Maddie, hey, I didn't find him." Lovina heard a man voice, and she turned to see someone she didn't know. A blonde man with green eyes, tall and thin. Tan skin and a nice little smile on his face. He wore a green bandana around his neck. He looked at Lovina with confusion, and she returned it. Then, he smiled bigger, "I know you, you're that Italian girl everyone's talking about. Lovina, right?"

Lovina felt the color from her face drain. She blinked about twice, then just walked away. Whoever this guy was, he was pretty damn gorgeous. "Was it something I said?" she heard him ask Madeline as she walked out the school building. No, nothing you said. It's what you look like that got Lovina to go weak in the knees. She'll just wait for Feliciano at home. That seems like the best idea right now.

School again. Oh boy. Lovina dragged herself with a frown to her first hour class. She sat at her seat in the back of the room, and laid her head down, closing her eyes. It was way too early for school. Why can't school start in the later hours? Or, even better, why can't they have no school at all? She wanted no one to be here with her. Just leave her alone. Let her sleep.

Sadly, that would never happen with a stupid certain Spaniard breathing down poor Lovinas neck. She opened her eyes and raised her hand to smack him, seeing he was way too close for her comfort. Antonio laughed, dodging and sitting next to her, "Ah, Lovina you're so silly. You can't sleep in class."

What was it with this guy to think he can just come in Lovinas life and march around like he's some big shot? She growled at him, "And why not? I can do whatever I want."

Antonio was about to talk again, when another voice was heard, "Hey, Lovina," she looked over, about to yell, but froze. It was that guy. He waved and smiled, then started to walk over, "I knew I knew you from somewhere. You're in my class." he nodded to himself, remembering and sat in front of her, "my name is Laden, we met officially yesterday." he laughed.

Lovina leaned back in her seat, trying to get as far away from that smile as possible. Why are these boys bothering her?! Antonio spoke up, "Hey Laden," he said in a friendly voice, "I haven't seen you in awhile!"

"Antonio!" Laden laughed with his old friend, "Are you a friend of Lovinas?"

Antonio was about to answer when Lovina shook her head, banging her fist on her desk, "No, he isn't! And you aren't either, get away from me, all of you!"

Laden lost his smile, confused. Antonio, however, opened his mouth to speak, when he stood up, "Oh, I'm sorry, Lovina. I wasn't trying to bother you. I'll talk to you another day." he waved, then walked off to be with his other friends.

Lovina was almost speechless. What was that?! Did he just... listen to her?! No one ever listened to her! A heated feeling came over her face, and she darted her eyes everywhere before focusing on a studied looking Antonio. He soon got up and left without a word. Lovina would of found that weird, too, if Laden wasn't flooding her mind right now. Finally, she laid her head down again, and closed her eyes, planning to take a long nap during this boring lesson, and yell at anyone who tried to wake her.

Madeline wanted to be a normal girl, with a normal crush and a normal brother who normally picked on her, and just be normal all together. But the more she says that word, the more it sounds different. It's like the word normal isn't normal. What is normal? What does that mean?

The bell rang and the students bolted out the room, laughing and throwing things. Madeline, like usual, was the last one out with her bag close to her chest. She looked around for that same certain someone. That same someone who had invaded her mind and dreams for the past year, the same someone who almost made her smile and blush. Made her have all these feelings of happiness and sadness.

"Maddie!" she heard a familiar voice. Her heart skipped a bit and she turned to face that famous smirk and white truffle of hair, "Come on, let's go or we'll be late!"

"Aren't you walking with Feliciano, again?" She asked quietly, looking around for that small Italian. Before he came, Gilbert and her always walked to the same classes together, he even walked her sometimes to her classes. Of course he was late to his a lot because of that, and Madeline would always get mad at him.

"Nah, the little guy said he had something to do. So I let him be on his way." Gilbert took Madelines arm and started walked, "Come on, we have like three minutes now."

Yeah, she wanted to be normal. But being normal wouldn't have brought her right here, being dragged by the very guy who she secretly loved. Being normal wouldn't have given her so many friends, who all greeted them when they came up. Normal would always be a dream. But dreams were just wishes. And not all wishes came true. But, she's happy enough.
