Lelantos observed the Hologram of the space station and the enemy ships. Three ships were docked on the space station not that he cared anyway. They weren't a threat to Lelantos's flotilla of ten titan ships. One of his ship's crew, the communications official, spoke to him.
"Lord Lelantos" the other titan said. "The space station is demanding that we identify ourselves."
"No need for that" Lelantos replied. "Communicate my orders to the other ships, 5 of us will block the human ship's movements, the rest will commence an attack on the space station."
The communicator's officer nodded ad proceeded to transmit the orders. Lelantos smiled, he had given this plan a lot of thought while following the humans. He had considered several others as well but he had decided for this one because, first it was simple and second, he didn't trust the weapon's dealer enough to make a deal with him. Knowing the humans even the slightest mistake gave them a chance to emerge victorious, and from his research on the weapon's dealer he knew the akrennian was too unpredictable. He would use that plan though in the unlikely chance his first plan failed.
The titan flotilla divided attacking the docked human ships and the station with both the station and the humans returning fire hoping to fend off their attackers. Lelantos smiled thinking in the futility of their acts as his ships destroyed one of the stations turrets. This battle would be over even before he thought.

"Akima!" The japanese girl heard her lover shout on her ears through the comm system. A few seconds before a violent shaking had made everyone fall to the ground as they saw how ten unknown ships attacked the space station.
"I'm alright Cale" she replied as the rest of her group got up and Gronk and his men did too.
"I'm glad but the situation is bad" the blond guy replied. "We have to get out now! Our ships won't stand a chance if we continue to be docked in here."
"He is right" Kate said. "You need to get to the docks fast!"
"No, we won't make it in time before the ships are destroyed." Korso intervened. "Take off without us!"
"What!" Kate exclaimed. "But then you'll..."
"I know but we don't have the capacities to fight them off and if things continue like this we will all be killed." Korso replied. "You have to retreat. We will be fine."
"Like hell you will!" Cale shouted in response.
"Cale, it's our only option" Akima said pleadingly. "Please"
"Alright" Cale finally accepted. He was broken as he said it, he knew the station wouldn't hold up much time under such heavy fire.
"If you have finished with the drama I have an idea." Gronk said over the radio. Korso, Lin and Akima stared at him in surprise. When had he hacked into their comm system.
"You see I didn't get this office just because it looks cool." Gronk said smirking. This whole office is an escape pod."
"What!" Shouted the three people in the room plus the other two on the ship.
"Why so surprised?" Gronk asked. "Undock your ships and I'll tell you my plan."

Cale and Kate listened as the Akrennian explained his plan over the radio, while the rest of the crew worked hard to maneuver without being destroyed by the enemy. The "Victory" and her two escorts fired back at the enemy ships but it didn't seem to be doing much.
"I need your ships to buy us some time." Gronk began. "As they keep the enemy occupied we will launch this pod and escape the station. We'll need less than a minute to do this."
"It's crazy!" Lin shouted. "Even if it's less than a minute they could be destroyed!"
"It's our only chance" Gronk replied coldly.
"But you would need all the enemy ships to be centered on them right?" Akima asked not convinced at all. It was a too risky plan from a person she didn't like at all.
"But it's our only chance" Korso replied agreeing with Gronk. "Even if we don't like it. Besides we do have something that might help. Kate take Cale to the the "Birdies""
Kate eyes widened before she replied. "Are you serious?"
"I am, the kid is a great pilot. He will do great" Korso assured her.
"Alright" she replied. "This better work Gronk or you will wish you'd never been born. Kate over and off."
Cale looked at Kate. "What did Korso mean by the birdies?" He asked.
"Come with me" she said motioning him to follow her out of the bridge. As they walked through the halls of the ship she explained. "The Birdies are stealth space fighters produced by the grepoans for the Earth's Defense Forces. Only a few were saved from the Drej's attack on earth."
They got to the stairs and headed down to the bottom of the ship and entered a room. It lit up instantly and Cale gasped as he saw two holes on the ground. He looked down the halls and saw a cockpit.
"We acquired several of these beauties several years ago." Kate said smiling. "Although to have two of them on the "Victory" was Korso's idea. It was good that they were designed so that any ship could carry them."
"So what now?" Cale asked.
"Get in I'll explain once you are in." Kate said, heading for one of the cockpits. Cale obeyed and entered the other pressing one of the bottons to start the engine. An hologram of the space fighter (which looked like a smaller version of the B-2 spirit) appeared before him and, the cockpit lit up as the hole from where he had entered closed.
"Wow, this awesome." Cale said. Kate chuckled.
"You've seen nothing." Kate said. "Now I take it you know how to pilot this thing, the basics is the same as with other ships or fighters."
"Yeah" Cale said a little bothered by her lack of faith.
"Then I'll just explain the weaponry. These beauties are equiped with several high powered missiles, laser guns and 2mininuclear bombs. The targetting system is on the helmet. Put it on now."
Cale obeyed and put on the helmet a visor went down and the oxigen mask attached it self to his mouth and nose. Suddenly Cale was staring to the battle outside. "The helmet is connected to the fighter cameras, when you want to lock on a target you say the name of the weapon you want to use followed by the phrase "lock on target" and the thing you want to destroy you may stablish the targets before hand and assign them numbers."
"Cool" Cale said, his voice a little different because of the mask.
"I suppose you are ready. Do not release the controls under any circumstances" Kate said. "Birdy one taking off."
Cale saw as Kate's fighter separated from the ship and she took off towards one nearby enemy.
"Birdy two taking off." He said. His fighter did the same Kate's did and Cale accelerated towards the same target.
"Missiles lock on the enemy ship" Cale said. The computer obeyed, and Cale heard Kate do the same.
"Fire!" Kate shouted and Cale shouted the same. Four missiles, two from each fighters were launched and impacted on the enemy. Surprisingly they seemed to do a lot of damage. A chain of explosion occurred and the ship broke in half finally bursting completely.
Cale stared at their job amazed. They had taken out one of the bastards. He smiled. "We can do this" he thought. Kate didn't seem impressed by their job and promptly gave out orders
"All ships" Kate said. "Begin charging the main guns. Ready to engage the enemy's main force."
"Roger" Sounded a voice at the other side of the radio. Cale looked around, they had done it they got the enemy's full attention. He smiled, now Akima and the rest had a chance.

Akima stared wide eyed as the two fighters destroyed one of the enemy ships. From what he had seen, those ships were tougher than most ships, but the "Birdies" like Korso called them seemed to be a more than worthy for the enemies. Korso smiled and looked at Gronk.
"My guys are doing what you said" He said. "Now what?"
"Now we take off" The akrennian replied as he worked with his computer. When he finished the whole room shook for a while until sudenly it began to float away from the space station. The akrennian smiled and Akima and Lin could swear one of his men sigh in relief. "Well that went better than expected" the akrennian added as he began to introduce some data on the computer.
Korso looked back at the ships fighting the enemy ships. The "Victory" and its escorts were shooting their main guns at an enemy ship. At first it seemed like it was going to resist making Korso greet his teeth. "Who the hell are these bastards?" he thought. However his worries disippated when the enemy ship's shields went down and it received the full strength of the combined attack of the three ships and was obliterated.
Meanwhile the 2 "Birdies" were inflicting damage on the enemy fleet, while they hadn't destroyed any more enemy ships they had damaged four more of them.
"Way to go!" Said one of his own crew. But Korso knew it was too early to celebrate. The four enemy ships that weren't engaging their ships had noticed their little trick and were positioning themselves to attack them directly.
"Gronk. How are we going to leave this place?" He asked trying to remain calm.
"This escape pod had a small warp engine. We'll warp out right out of here." the akrennian said without looking at him. Lin and Akima looked where Korso was looking and understood.
"How much long before we do?" Lin asked, more worried than her companion.
"Two minutes" Gronk replied.
"Can't you do that faster?" Akima asked as the rest of the men and women on the room looked out the office windows. The four ships were already ready to destroy the office pod.
"Oh my god" one of Gronk's men said. "Boss they are coming right for us!"
The akrennian heard him and without taking the eyes off the computer he continued working. Those bastards weren't going to kill Gronk, the Black Merchant, today wasn't going to be the day he died.

Lelantos sat on his bridge as his ship's bridge operators worked giving out orders to the ships engaging the enemy and the ships concentrated on the enemy's big escape pod. He had to admit he had expected this battle to be easier than it was turning out to be, the enemy station was damaged beyond repair but a part of it had dettached from it and was trying to escape, on the other hand the humans were fighting off his forces. He had lost two of his titan fleet ships and he was sure he was going to be punished for it.
"All the ships engaging the enemy are now more than 25 % damaged" one operator informed him.
"How are our main weapon preparations going" He said trying to remain calm.
"80% complete, our escorts also report the same level of readiness. 20 more seconds before we are ready." the operator replied.
"Begin count down!" The titan barked no longer keeping calm with a hint of madness in his eyes. "Destroy our filthy foes when it reaches zero!"
"Fifteen, fourteen, thirteen" the operator began with the countdown. Lelantos smiled he was going to complete his mission. Show his enemies the mighty power of the titans and avenge his fallen comrades. Besides if he returned without some ships and victory Lord Hyperion and Lord Cronus wouldn't spare his life. The countdown reached the final seconds.
"Five, four, three." The operator continued before he was interrupted by one of his companions.
"Laser beam detected !" The titan shouted. Lelantos looked at him is disbelief but a really strong sound caught his attention. The two ships that were in front of his ships disappeared from existance under a green light.
"Milord. Escorts one and two destroyed!" an operator said. "Several contacts on the radar!"
