A/N: Thanks for the reviews! I've been away with work and life keeping me busy :)

Over the next few days, Wiress and Beetee were intrigued by Katniss and Peeta's budding friendship and romance along with the rest of Panem. "They want them to win." Wiress whispered.

"Yes." Beetee agreed before sighing in sadness as he watched Katniss tend to a quickly deteriorating Peeta. "But, that will be for naught if your boy dies."

"I know." Haymitch grumbled. "I requested a gift of medicine and the Gamemakers said they would deliver it."

"Feast!" Wiress gasped before a light blinked on the main screen indicating a pending announcement to the tributes.

"At the feast, you will find something you desperately need." Claudius announced as Team Nerds and Haymitch groaned.

"You're not going -" Peeta rasped staring into Katniss' determined face.

"You're not in a position to argue, son. Be quiet!" Beetee chastised. "Send him -"

"He knows." Wiress said as she batted Beetee's hand away from Haymitch's tablet as Haymitch sent a present of sleeping powder.

"I know what my kids need." Haymitch replied seeing Beetee's worried face. "Good girl, sweetheart." He chuckled as Katniss fed Peeta the powder.

"There goes Katniss from District Twelve!" Caesar Flickerman narrated. "She's making good time, she sees her bag with her district number - Oh - Clove has also reached the feast -" Haymitch cursed and Wiress screamed as Katniss was thrown to the ground by the fierce Career girl.

"I want to give them a good show!" Clove sneered pressing her knife into Katniss's forehead. "Just like when we killed your little ally Rue!"

"You killed her!" The two girls gasped as Thresh appeared behind Clove before slamming a rock into her skull.

"YEAH, BOY!" Chaff hollered. "Get her for our girl!" He and Seeder cheered and high-fived as Clove stirred in Cato's arms. "You done it for our Rue."

"Get your bag, sweetheart!" Haymitch gasped as Katniss rolled out from under Clove. Nodding at Thresh who said something about 'no more owed,' Katniss grabbed her bag and ran back to the cave. Haymitch winced as Katniss stumbled and wiped blood off her face. Crawling back into the cave, she had just enough time to inject Peeta with his medicine before collapsing from exhaustion and blood-loss.

"There." Haymitch said as he sent Peeta a first-aid kit. "You tend to her now, breadboy." The three mentors held their breaths as Peeta woke up after his fever broke.

"No - Katniss!" He gasped seeing his district partner laying facedown in her own blood. "KATNISS!" His grief-filled cry through his tears broke hearts around Panem.

"She's still there, buddy." Beetee whispered through his tears as he gripped Wiress' hand. "You're love's still there, kiddo." Peeta slipped a trembling hand against Katniss' cheek and relaxed at feeling her breath.

"HAYMITCH!" Peeta called frantically.

"Outside, boy." Haymitch replied before Peeta darted outside the cave to grab the first-aid kit.

"I remember all the times you cared for me -" Wiress sighed in Beetee's arms as they watched Peeta lovingly tend to Katniss' wounds.

"Yes, I had to. The love of my life was hurting." Beetee whispered before Wiress whimpered into his shirt. "Baby, we'll take care of each other, I promise."

"Beetee -" Wiress sobbed as the pain of loosing her children hit her fresh.

"Shhhh, my love, we're fighting for them, baby." Beetee whispered through his tears.

"Sappy nerds." Haymitch grumbled blinking back tears before drinking a shot of electric blue alcohol. They were silent with fear and anticipation waiting for Katniss to wake up. "That's it, sweetheart." Haymitch chuckled as Katniss kissed Peeta.

"I can talk to Katniss about young love -" Wiress commented happily staring into Katniss' grateful eyes on the main screen. "At sixteen, I had been in love for -"

"Since you were ten." Beetee finished before Wiress giggled and poked him.

"Help me get them out of there, and they'll be all yours for all that relationship crap." Haymitch remarked raising his tall glass of beer toward the Teslas.

"So, what are you really saying?" Beetee asked slowly.

"I'm saying I think my kids will get out of there." Haymitch declared staring into Beetee's eyes with determination. "They will get out of there and raise hell. With us."
