Kagome looked around the room that she was standing in; it was also dimmed and had paintings hanging all over the walls. Other than that the room was quite cozy and welcoming. Inu Tashio motioned for her to sit down and she did. After everyone was seated Inu Tashio looked at Kagome. When their gaze met he was marveled at how bright and deep her eyes were. They seemed to go on forever, never ending.
"Tell me…uh…" he trailed off.
"Kagome" she said. Inu Tashio nodded.
"Kagome, why did you not want to go home?" he asked. Kagome shrugged and looked up at the high ceiling. It was kind of hard to see in this room. She turned her head back to Inu Tashio who was watching her.
"It's a rough time of year for my family, I just wanted to get away" she said. Kami, my mom is going to be freaking out. I'll just call her when we leave.
"But Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year" he smiled. Kagome couldn't help the smile that came to her face. Inu Tashio nodded his head at her and sat back in his chair. He looked at his older son, then back at Kagome. He inwardly smirked and little light bulb went off in his head. Sesshomaru was known for being a 'ladies' man'. Even now with his 'girlfriend' Yura, he is well known to flirt with other girls and Yura did nothing to stop it. He honestly thought that if Sesshomaru still had money she didn't care what he did or with who. But if he could somehow get Kagome and Sesshomaru together maybe she'd change him, or even become friends. She could probably talk some sense into him.
"Well be that may, you are allowed to stay here for as long as you need" he said. Kagome nodded and pulled at the collar of her jacket, it was getting a little warm.
"Thank you Mr. Inu Tashio" she said. He waved his hand.
"No problem" he smiled. He called a maid to set up her room and give her some bath supplies. After the maid left Inu Tashio sent everyone to their rooms.

Once Kagome was in the guest room she took off her jacket and shoes. She sat everything on the bed and lay back on the bed. She felt her phone vibrate in her pocket and pulled it out, the screen flashed 'Mom'. She sighed and answered it.
"Hello?" she asked.
''Kagome! Where are you? We are worried sick over here" her mother yelled through the phone, Kagome held the phone away from her ear and sighed.
"Mom I'm fine, I'm just going to stay over a ….um friend's house for a while" she said.
"Are you sure darling?" Kagome rubbed her eyes and sat up.
"Yeah ma, I'll be home when I can" she said. She heard her mom sigh over the phone and her little brother asked if she was okay.
"Okay honey"
"Okay mom, tell Souta and grandpa I love them, bye" she hung up the phone and fell back on her bed with a heavy sigh. It brought pain to her to hear her brother asking where she was; maybe she should have brought him with her. A knock at her door brought her out of her musings. She rolled over on her stomach and called out a soft 'enter'. She heard the open and the footsteps over to where she was. The bed dipped down as someone sat by her legs.
"Hey, you wanna watch a movie with me and Inuyasha?" Kouga asked. Kagome looked at him and smiled small. She sat up and nodded.
"Sounds like fun" she said. Kouga nodded and looked at her. Kagome still had her cap pulled over her ears but had taken off her jacket given him the chance to see the soft curves of her body from her tight pink sweater. She stood and smiled down at him. Her brow furrowed when she noticed him staring.
"What?" she asked. Kouga stood also and shook his head, embarrassed about being caught staring.
"Nothing, let's go" he said and walked off. Kagome followed him down spiral steps into and to the living room. The room was pure white with a black sofa and very large Christmas tree decorated with maroon, blue and silver ornaments. Inuyasha was already sitting on the sofa looking through a box of movies. Kouga and Kagome sat on either side of him.
"What movie?" he asked. Kagome leaned over to look in the box unknowingly pressing her breast against his shoulder. Inuyasha stiffened and glanced at her from the side of his eyes. Kagome reached over and pulled out a movie. She sat back and smiled, holding the movie up. Inuyasha groaned.
"No" he said. Kagome pouted, Kouga from the other side of Inuyasha grinned.
"Please! Please! Please!" she said, each 'please' scooting closer to him until she was right by his side. Inuyasha looked down at her, her blue eyes shining unto his. He sighed and grabbed the movie. Kagome flopped back on the couch with a 'yes!' punching her fist into the air. Kouga laughed and watched as Inuyasha put the movie into the DVD player mumbling about childish mikos and their childish movies.
Kagome sat back up and slide over next to Kouga; she smiled at Inuyasha as he sat down on her left side and grabbed the remote. He turned the DVD player on and the previews of the movie started.
"Come on, it's Christmas. What better way to bring in the season then a classic?" she said as she beamed at him. Inuyasha silently cursed the Kamis for making him not able to say no to any female. He gave her a small smile and looked at the kitchen.
"Okay, we need some popcorn" he said. Kagome raised one perfectly arched eyebrow and brought a French manicured hand up to her lip and tapped it. Realization hit her when neither boy got up to go make it.
"What you want me to make it?" she asked. Inuyasha nodded.
"You're making us watch this childish movie so go make some popcorn for it" he said. Kagome narrowed her eyes and put her hand on her hip. Did they just expect her to know where the popcorn was? She decided to voice that thought.
"Do you just expect me to know where the popcorn is?" she asked. Inuyasha looked at the TV screen and smirked.
"Better hurry the movie almost starting" he said. Kagome looked at Kouga for help he just chuckled and shrugged his shoulders.
"It's in the pantry, hurry" he said, Kagome huffed and walked into the kitchen mumbling about stupid demons and their games all the way to the kitchen. When in there she noticed the kitchen was also white.
"A little color maybe" she said as she walked over to what she thought was the pantry, instead it had steps that lead to what looked like a large media room. Curios she started to walk down. Close to the bottom she could see a large projector with a movie playing on it. Once she reached the bottom she saw two heads turn to look at her.
"Oh!" she felt her face heat up in what she knew was a blush "I didn't mean to interrupt" she said. Amber eyes narrowed at her from a theater seat, while cinnamon turned to the owner of said amber eyes.
"Sesshomaru" a soft voice said, "Who is she?"
"Some poor ningen Kouga brought home" Sesshomaru replied never taken his eyes off Kagome. Her bright blue eyes seemed to shine from the darkest as they darkened a little and fire lit in them. She put her hand on her hips and glared at Sesshomaru.
"I am not poor" Kagome said. Sesshomaru titled his head.
"Hn." He said and turned his head back towards the screen. The girl sitting next to him looked at Kagome.
"A miko?" she purred. Kagome scowled and stepped back. The glint in her eyes made her nervous.
"Yea, what of it?" Kagome asked.
"Yura leave her alone" Sesshomaru's cold voice said. Kagome huffed and rolled her eyes. Yura did the same but none the less turned around and back to the movie that was playing. Sesshomaru got up and walked over to Kagome.
"What do you want?" he asked, he was dressed only in black silk pants, but from the look of his hair she could only guess what happened to his shirt, not that she had to. She crossed her eyes across her chest and sniffed.
"I was looking for some popcorn for the movie" her eyes widen "The movie!" she stomped her foot.
"Shoot I'm missing it!" she groaned. Sesshomaru mouth titled up in amusement. He walked past her and started up the steps taking them 2 at a time, Kagome followed him into the kitchen and he opened a door next to the one she walked in before. Kagome shook her head at her misfortune, of course it right next to the wong one. He grabbed the popcorn and made it. While it was popping Kagome ran into the living room and her heard her yelling to pause the movie. She came back in and took the popcorn from him and smiled.
"Thanks" she said and left back to the living room. She sat back in the middle of Kouga and Inuyasha and started the movie. She sat back on the couch and watched the movie. Sesshomaru walked in and stood at the doorway.
"How the Grinch Stole Christmas?" he asked. Kagome turned to him and smiled.
"Yup!" she said then turned her head back to the movie. He shook his head and went back to Yura.
