"Who is it Kagome?" Inuyasha asked walking up towards her. He could smell her fear and it made him nervous. He got to her and smirked at his old friend.
"Hey Bankotsu, what's up?" he asked. Bankotsu looked at Inuyasha and smiled, using his distraction Kagome stepped back to father herself away from this...man. She didn't have any desire being in the same room with him. Maybe she could get Sesshomaru to take her someplace other than here with him. She turned around and started to walk around Inuyasha when Bankotsu grabbed her wrist.
"What no hug?" he asked. Kagome stiffened and mentally prepared herself for anything he might try to do. Inuyasha sensing her uneasiness and seeing her tense up looked at Bankotsu. Inuyasha grabbed her shoulder and pulled her away from his friend with an eyebrow raised.
"Father needed her now. There's no time for hugs" he said gently pushing her towards the living room. Kagome silently thanked Inuyasha and quickly walked back to living room where she collapsed on the couch next to Kouga. She let go of her breath and looked at the questioning looks on Kouga's and Sesshomaru's faces. She really didn't want to talk about this and didn't feel it was such a good idea to tell them.
"What-" She was saved by Toga who decided to walk in at that moment.
"Kagome, I need to talk to you" he said. Kagome jumped up and smiled.
"Of course Tashio-sama!" she said cheery and walked over to him. He smiled at her and started to walk off towards his office. Kagome followed quietly behind trying to remember how to get her but she wasn't doing as good as of right now. Toga opened the door for her and let her walk in before him before shutting them. Sitting behind his desk he waited until Kagome sat down across from him. He watched her for a couple of minutes for leaning on his desk.
"You're a….. Unique girl Kagome" he said. She blushed and nodded, just what was he getting at.
"As you know my son is now currently single" smiled. Kagome raised her eyebrow.
"I didn't know that" she said. Toga nodded.
"Well know you do. But my son is smart, strong and attractive young man. On op of that he is wealthy, on his own might I mind you. So you can imagine just how many girls that attracts and what kind" he said. Kagome nodding slowly thinking about what he was saying, then it clicked. Oh.
"So you're saying he attracts the 'wrong' type of girls?" she asked. Toga clapped and back in his seat.
"You're so smart" he said "But back on the subject" he said. Kagome raised an eyebrow. He changed the subject not her.
"I'm genuinely worried about his love life. The longest relationship he had was with Yura and he only wanted him for his money. I want him to be with somebody that loves him," he said. Kagome nodded, she could understand a father worrying over his son.
"Soooooo… what do I have to do with that?" she asked. Toga smiled at her.
"Well I would love to be able to call you daughter one day" he said. Kagome nodded, Toga smirked. She didn't catch that. HE sat back and let his words work over in her head. Once he saw her eyes widen he smirked, bingo. Kagome blushed and looked down in her lap.
"Tashio-sama-"
"Toga" he corrected with a small smile.
"Toga, umm I don't see Sesshomaru like that. I mean it's only been what? One day, not even a whole 24 hours yet. I'm flattered" she said. Toga nodded. Oh he knew that this was just their second day knowing each other but he could already see an attraction between the two even if they didn't.
"I know, but I just decided to let you know" he said waving his hand. Kagome nodded and narrowed her eyes.
"What are you up too?" she asked. Toga looked into her icy blue orbs and smiled.
"Nothing Kagome" he said. Kagome couldn't read any lie in his eyes or aura and nodded, but still weary. He lived for centuries he probably could do some kind of trick or whatever to make sure he wouldn't get caught. Oh she was going to be watching the demon lord with a very close eye.
Toga, on the inside, was doing a happy dance. This was just the beginning of his plan. Kagome and Sesshomaru wouldn't know what hit them once he got done with them. SO lost in his thoughts he didn't realize he was smiling like an idiot until Kagome voice brought him back to reality.
"I'm watching you Toga" she said. Toga laughed and launched into an easy conversation to distract her from his planning.
After Kagome left him and Bankotsu in the foyer Inuyasha glared at the marked human in front of him.
"How do you know her?" Inuyasha asked folding his arms. Bankotsu shrugged.
"We dated a couple of years ago" he said. Inuyasha tilted his head. Kagome and Bankotsu dated? Somehow he couldn't see it, he was trying but he just couldn't.
"Why was she acting like that?" he asked getting back to the real problem. Knowing his friends, Bankotsu must've done something to the girl.
"Things tend to happen, Inuyasha, the past is the past. And plus it's none of your business" Bankotsu said walking around him and to the living room where he saw Kagome go into. When he entered Sesshomaru and Kouga were on the couches watching a movie. He didn't see Kagome anywhere. Inuyasha pushed past him and flopped on the couch before yanking the remote of Kouga's hand and turning the channel.
"Hey Kagome said she wanted to watch that!" Kouga asked. Bankotsu sat down on the couch Sesshomaru was sitting on and leaned back.
"Let me guess, Just Friends?" he asked. Kouga stopped trying to grab the remote from Inuyasha and looked at the strange man.
"Yeah. Inuyasha, who's the creep," he asked. He didn't like the feeling he was getting from Bankotsu's aura. Something seemed off.
"Bankotsu my longtime friend, now move you mangy wolf I'm trying to turn the TV!" he said.
"Inuyasha, you better have that TV back on the channel it was on before you turned it" Kagome threatened walking in the living room. He sat next to Kouga, pointy ignoring Bankotsu.
"Keh, wench we're not going to watch no stinkin' chick flick" he said. Kagome rolled her eyes and looked Sesshomaru. She pouted and he smirked. This onna, he thought before using his speed to grab the remote from Inuyasha and turning it back to her movie. Kagome clapped and leaned on Kouga's shoulder, before he looked down at her and smiled.
"This is going to be great" her voice rising in pitch on great. Inuyasha folded his arms and started to mumble incoherent things about certain miko. Kagome, like everybody else ignored him and started to watch the movie.
A/N: Kagome won't be talking the whole Bankotsu thing for at least another couple chapters. She only knows them for two days she's not going to start pouring her secrets out to them. Until Next time!
