Kagome turned around when Inuyasha hung up his phone. She held up to pair of earrings and vintage looking jewelry holder.
"These?" she asked. Inuyasha shrugged and grabbed the items and walked toward the cashier.
"I do remember that she has a lot of jewelry." He said placing the items on the counter and started to pull out his wallet. Kagome hummed and picked up a tube of lip gloss and placed it with the stuff. Inuyasha looked down at her. She smiled and blinked.
"What? I deserved something for being woken at 8 in the morning" she said. Inuyasha just sighed and nodded to the lady. She smiled and started to ring things up.
"That's very sweet that you got your girlfriend something" she said. Kagome laughed and Inuyasha face turned red.
"We're not together" he mumbled taking the bag from her. The woman gasped and started to apologize. Kagome waved her hand and turned to leave. Inuyasha shook his head and followed after her. They walked around the mall and did more shopping, stopping for food and for Kagome to shop also. By the time they left they both had armfuls of bags. Inuyasha groaned when he got to his car.
"Never have I had so many bags leaving a mall before. I feel like a girl" he said throwing the bags in the trunk. Kagome smacked his arm and placed her in more carefully.
"Stop complaining. Those things will look nice on you" she said reaching to close the trunk door. Inuyasha scoffed and placed his arms in his pockets.
"Keh. A pink sweater?" he asked. Kagome struggled for a moment to close the door, pausing and scoffing at Inuyasha when he didn't offer any help. She jumped and slammed the door down, Inuyasha chuckled. Kagome glared and walked around to the passenger door.
"I think pink looks nice on you" she said opening the door once she heard it unlock, Inuyasha rolled his eyes and got in, started the car and pulled off.
"You never seen me in pink" he said.
"Well I think it will. I have a pink sweater! We can wear it when we get home!" she giggled clapping her hands. Inuyasha groaned and banged his head on the steering wheel.
"Ah! Keep your eyes on the road!" Kagome yelled when they almost swerved into another lane. Inuyasha chuckled and looked up and started to drive. Kagome sighed.
They pulled into the garage and Kagome jumped out the car before it barely stopped. She ran into the house and took a deep breathe.
"Do not yell" Kouga said from the table behind her. Kagome spun around and smiled at him.
"Kouga!" she yelled and ran over to him and gave him a hug. He winced and had to place a hand on the table before they both fell over.
"I'll help get the bags" he said starting to stand. Kagome giggled and walked with him to the car and grabbed some bags along with Inuyasha and Kouga. They all walked in the kitchen to find Sesshomaru standing at the door. Inuyasha shoved the bags into Kouga's hand and pushed him out. Kagome started to unbutton her jacket before pale clawed hands gently pushed her out the way and started to unbutton her second button. She looked up and locked glazes with Inuyasha. He gave a soft small smile. She blushed and smiled back. He slid the jacket off her shoulder and placed it on the island counter, keeping his eyes locked with hers. Kagome was sure her face was beat red by now. She pulled her eyes away from him and saw Sesshomaru standing there glaring at them. She cleared her throat and pulled away from Inuyasha. Looking at Sesshomaru one last time she looked at Inuyasha and smiled.
"Thank you Inuyasha" she whispered grabbing her jacket and bolting out of the kitchen. Inuyasha took a deep breath and turned slowly around to see Sesshomaru glaring at him from the fridge. He nodded at him and started to walk out but was stopped by Sesshomaru's voice.
"What was that?" he asked. Inuyasha turned around and folded his arms. Let's see if I can act my way out of this.
"Keh. Nothing just helping her out of her jacket" he said. Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes and watched him for a moment. Inuyasha stood still looking bored.
"What about Kikyo?" he asked. Inuyasha shrugged and leaned against the frame.
"I saw her at the mall" he said. Sesshomaru nodded. Inuyasha narrowed his eyes. He needed a reaction.
"Her skin was so soft" he murmured looking up. He was surprised when he found himself against the other wall in the kitchen, hands wrapped out his throat.
"What did you say half-breed?" Sesshomaru growled out. Inuyasha coughed and looked Sesshomaru in the eyes. He saw the rage and envy there. Good.
"I said her skin was soft" he choked out. Sesshomaru's eyes narrowed father. He hand reached back to punch him before a soft voice called out his name. He gave Inuyasha one last glare before he dropped him to the ground. Inuyasha coughed and rubbed his throat.
"Yeah the old man is defiantly trying to get me killed" he said.
Sesshomaru found Kagome in her room with clothes piled on top of her bed in different piles. He knocked and Kagome turned to him with a small smile.
"I got you something" she said. He nodded and walked in. He stopped at the edge of the bed and looked at her. She grabbed a box and handed it to him. He blinked before taking the box from her. She smiled as she watched him slowly take the bow off and open the box. Sesshomaru eyes widened before he looked up at Kagome. She had a large grin on her face. He pulled the thing out by a small silver chain and let it dangle from his finger. Hanging on the middle of the chain was a small dog with a crescent moon attached with a small line wire to the necklace. He put it back in the box.
"Thank you" he said. Kagome nodded and looked back down at the pile of clothes.
"Hey how do you feel about pink?" she asked.
"It's a color?" he asked. Kagome nodded and looked at him.
"Well yeah, but would you wear it?" she asked. Sesshomaru walked to where she was standing and saw a pink sweater laid out on the bed.
"Not that" he said with a hint of disgust in his voice. She laughed and turned to face him.
"Why not?" she asked. He looked down at her. Her face was still red form being out in the cold and her hair was in its typical curly ponytail. Her blue eyes were framed by black lashes. Her lips were parted in a small smile. Her smell dominated his senses and he had to stop himself from burying his head in her hair and taking a long whiff.
"It's hideous" he said more huskily then he intended. She smiled and turned back to the item they were discussing.
"Good. I'm going to make Inuyasha wear it" she said giggling and looking back at him. Is it me or did he get closer? Sesshomaru smirked as her scent became nervous. He stepped closer and Kagome looked at him. He leaned forward an inch, to see if she was run. When she did nothing but blink at him, he leaned in more. He watched amused, as her eyes became wide with realization. She leaned in some. He leaned in until his lips were an inch away from her mouth. Her hands grabbed his shirt and closed her eyes. He put his hands behind her neck and gently placed his lips against hers. She immediately responded, he ran his tongue against her bottom lip-
"Ahem" a voice cleared. They slowly pulled away, gazing at each other unblinking. Kagome was the first to look away, a blush staining her face. Sesshomaru turned to see his father standing at the door, smirking.
"Rin in here" he said before walking off. Kagome looked back up at Sesshomaru to see him staring down at her. She gave him a small smile and nodded to the door.
"I'm going to change and meet you down there" she said looking down at her shirt. He nodded and placed a finger under chin. Guiding her face back up to his he smiled.
"We'll talk later" he said before giving her a small peck and leaving out the room. Kagome started after him before sitting on her bed with a goofy grin on her face. She feel back and let a giggle come from her throat.
"Oh my Kami" she breathed.
A/N: ^.^ I really want a book cover with this of Kagome and Sesshomaru but I can't draw like that to save my life….well maybe I'd try really hard if it was my life lol but if anybody want to help…please please do
