Of course, we were only asleep for a few seconds. All of a sudden, I was in my pyjamas and robe in the kitchen. The Doctor was in his own robe and pyjamas as well.

"What?! What happened?! Where are my clothes?!" He asks. Though when we leave, we'll have our original clothes, the Doctor refused to change. He didn't want to forget why he was here, plus, he really didn't want to take off his bow tie.

"Time is different here-" I began.

"Yes, yes, I know that, but where are my clothes?!" He was getting anxious. I inwardly rolled my eyes. I couldn't blame him though, that's how I was when I first came here.

"Try my closet. They should be there hanging up." I told him calmly. He took off toward my room, the end of his robe flying like coat tails. On the way to my room, he passed the triplets, almost knocking over Donna.

"Sorry!" The Doctor called. Tardis rolled her eyes. Donna smiled, and Centurion looked annoyed, but he quickly wiped that off his face and went happily into the kitchen, Donna and Tardis following him.

"What's for breakfast Mum?" Centurion asked, sliding on to one of the stools at the kitchen counter.

"I was thinking some eggs and bacon dear, does that sound alright?" I asked. The kids glanced at one another and smiled.

"Yeah, that sounds great." Centurion said. Tardis went to the cupboards to find a pan for the eggs, while Donna grabbed one for the bacon. While they were cooking the food I went to make the herbal lemon tea. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Tardis grab the spices for the eggs. Probably pepper and salt, I thought. Tardis always seemed to add just the right amount to make them taste wonderful.

Soon enough the Doctor came back in dressed in his clothes that were now all clean, probably thanks to CAL. He suit was pressed, and his hair was neat… Was that cologne I smelled? He never wore the stuff, said it gave him a headache (though he never protested when
I wore perfume). What was going on? He walked up to me with that little grin on his face, that told me he was the happiest person in the universe right now.

"River, I have something very important to ask you!" He said as he looked into my eyes. "When would you like to leave?" he grinned, so excited to finally to finally have his wife, and his regular bowtie back. Meanwhile, I froze, bringing Donna and Centurion close to me. The kids looked up at me, with a scared look on their face.

"I told you yesterday Doctor. I don't know if I can leave." I whisper. His face fell, and took my hands in his while he stared at me as if he was looking into my soul. "River, if you're going to leave, then we need to go soon."

"Doctor, I don't know if I can. Now stop bothering me about it in front of the kids." I retorted. I turned to the Tardis and asked. "Are the eggs ready yet?" as if nothing had just happened. The kids looked at one another, as if they had decided on something. Tardis handed me a plate of eggs and bacon, then handed one to everyone else, giving the Doctor his plate last.

"Thanks." He told her. But he didn't look happy, he was still pouting over my answer. He took a bite of his eggs, then ran to the sink and spat them out. It was like Amelia Pond all over again. "Why did you put basil, cloves, and garlic in these eggs? They're absolutely horrid!" He complained. "They're almost as bad as beans."

I fought the urge to laugh, while Tardis remained quiet. Centurion smirked, and Donna looked at the floor. It was obvious that the kids didn't like the Doctor anymore. He was trying to take their Mum away from them and they would be deleted from history. Who wants that? I didn't really know what to do. I was being forced to make a choice. Leave the Doctor, forever, and never see him again. Or leave my kids. I don't think I could do either.

My Doctor, my wonderful Doctor, he always found a way out of everything. And he found a way so I could come back home to him in the TARDIS. That wonderful old girl who helped me become who I am. She gave me TimeLord DNA so that I could grow up alongside my parents, and use that regeneration energy to save the Doctor. Because of her, I didn't die because of Madame Kovarion, and so I was shown a better world than the one I knew. Coming back home sounded so good. So wonderful.

But I remembered my life here. Tardis, with all her knowledge and protectiveness. Centurion, who loved his gizmos and all his science tools. And little Donna, who was so shy and sweet, she couldn't hurt a fly. They were my children. My children. What mother could leave them behind?

No one's P.O.V.

After breakfast, the triplets went to the shooting rang to practice their aim. Tardis was probably the best so far. She had this determination about her that let her do anything. Her hand was always steady and her breathing low. Centurion on the other hand wasn't too bad, but he definitely needed some work. He could hit the target, but never a bulls-eye. His bullets kept flying all over the place, like he was a bit too fidgety to get it right. Donna was probably the worse shot, since she didn't like guns. She only lasted a round before she decided shooting wasn't for her.

"So Mum might not leave us after all." Centurion said.

"Yup, I don't think we have anything to worry about. I saw how Mum looked at him when she said she wasn't sure; it was as if she had decided to stay with us and didn't know how to tell him." Tardis replied as she slipped the chamber into the pistol. "There, locked and loaded." She then checked to make sure it was safe to shoot, and that she wouldn't hit anyone, then Bang! Went the pistol, and hit the target, an inch away from the bulls-eye.

"I'm glad. Soon the Doctor can leave us alone, and never bother us again." Centurion said, lying back on the grass away from the guns, not really interested in practicing at the moment.

"I don't know. We wished for the Doctor so Mum could be happy." Donna said quietly. "We wanted her to be happy. That was our original wish. And now she's torn between staying here with us and leaving with him. I don't think she could handle leaving the Doctor again. Melody definitely wouldn't be able to."

It was silent for a moment as they all took that in. Melody wouldn't be able to stand for it at all. The Melody they knew would say goodbye and run off with the Doctor once more. Probably tearing up on one of the few occasions she'd cry. But she'd go with the Doctor. Their Mum on the other hand, she would stay here with them, and probably cry anyway.

"If she stayed with us, would she ever be truly happy again?" Tardis murmured. "She was so sad for as long as I can I remember. I mean, she'd smile, but her eyes were always sad, with a faraway look in their eye."

"Yeah." Centurion said. It was true. Even when she was just reading a book, or making dinner, her eyes always held a hidden sadness that the kids would notice, but never mention, knowing that River would just brush them off and smile wider, as if that would hide her sadness.

"She's not Melody anymore. I don't think she has been since the day she came here." Centurion continued. "There are times when the in her Melody shines through, but mostly, she's not that woman anymore. She's still strong, yes, but she's not that girl with her silver handgun at her waist and Time Vortex Manipulator on her wrist anymore. She won't wear the clothes she used to wear, or act the way Melody would act. " he finished.

Again, it was quiet until Donna spoke.

"Some days, before we even knew we were programs, I felt like I wasn't there. Like I didn't exist. When Mum would be cooking in the kitchen, or remembering the Doctor, so absorbed in her work, and it truly felt like I wasn't there, only looking through a window at her, sometimes not even that." Donna said.

"I think we've all been there." Centurion said quietly.

"I don't think Mum can let us go. But if she doesn't, she'll never be truly happy again." Tardis said. They all looked at each other, realization hitting them.

"We have to give her a push." Donna said, tears forming. Centurion took a deep breath, masking his depression and getting right down to business.

"Well, we were never real anyway. Mum needs to go live her life, not just waste her days here for eternity." Centurion shrugged.

"Then she can be happy. Besides, think of the difference she can make. Running, and saving the universe, just like she's supposed to." Tardis said, smiling through her tears. Their decision was made. They'd give up their happiness for her happiness. They had more of the Doctor's traits than they realized.
