Sex wasn't a big part of Alyssa's life. She'd gone years without any form of physical intimacy and somehow managed to remain completely sane. After all those years of being single, she learned to manage and please her own carnal desires. Falling for John, however, made her see just how critical a partner was. He was an incredible lover that took her to new heights she never knew existed. He allowed her to explore the limits of her body and taught her how to push it. He touched parts of her no one's ever seen. He guided her to go higher and higher with the perfect mesh of gentleness and roughness. Tonight was no exception to that exploration. Round one followed with round two and round three was a possibility.

The two laid there, hot flesh pressed up against each other, moist sheets tangled in and around their legs. Alyssa's head was nestled against John's chest, his now steady heartbeat lulling her back to earth. The muscular arms of his were wrapped around her frame. She looked beautiful. There were streaks of amber lighting that peaked through the cracks of the blinds and cascaded down her bare back. It made her naked form appear even more delicate as John's eyes and fingertips lightly traced the shadows on her curves. He couldn't believe she was the woman he made love to every night and day.

It was years ago he first imagined a life like this. Many, many times before, he pictured how it would be to make love to Alyssa. None of his premature fantasies compare to the actuality of her reciprocated love and desire for him. It was in these moments, when they melded together into one solid but stripped form, that he wish time never changed.

"You sleepy, baby?" John asked. He laid a gentle kiss above her brow as he waited for her answer.

She pressed her dainty fingers against his chiseled abs to level herself up. Her hair trailed across his chest to his biceps and onto her back as she turned to face him. A subtle smile etched her face.

"What?"

"I'm not sleepy," she said.

John combed her roots with his fingers, taking away any strands that covered her façade. He smiled. "Ready for three?"

"I will be."

"Not yet? We can wait. You wanna grab something from the fridge?" He scratched the lower back of her head gently.

"Nope."

"What are you thinking about then?"

"How we can keep going all night and day." The smile peaked her eyes as she ran her fingertips up and down his chest.

"Oh yeah?" He smiled at her advance.

"And not have to go to the gala?"

John frowned. "You don't wanna go?"

"Well...I mean...I was planning on avoiding Toretto all together. I didn't wanna have to worry you."

"You wont. Look at it this way, we're both free during the event, he invited me, so I'll be with you. Plus, I know you'll enjoy getting dressed up."

"Okay, but what about Neal? What was up with that call?"

"I made sure he knew his boundaries with you. He's a business man, I believe that now."

Alyssa squinted her eyes, skeptical. The cold air of the night was starting to seep onto the bareness of her back.

"He wants to get as much publicity as possible. And if his aggressiveness is any indicator of how great this event is going to be, I think it'll be a lot of fun. It's a win-win."

"Mm hmm." Alyssa moved on top of John and straddled him. She firmly pressed her hands over his chest. "I'm starting to think you were more jealous that he asked me to join his company and not you."

"No, no. I'm perfectly happy where I do my physical entertainment. Especially right here and right now with you." John closed the space between them, bringing one hand to her jaw line and another to her hips. Her hair dripped around him, the soft strands meeting his skin. Her mouth, as it reached his, was warm and taut. Round three was just about to start.

Randy stood in the corner of his locker room, a phone in hand. Sam finally texted him back after a day and they were now coordinating the details of a possible meet up. He was relieved to know that everything was alright with her and that she simply wanted to catch up. A grin spread across his features when she expressed her excitement through the use of caps.

"What are you smiling like a fool for?"

Randy's eyes rose from his screen to Candy. At that note, he slid his phone into the side pocket of his duffle bag and made his way to the brunette. "Glad to be seeing you so soon."

She noted his dismissal of her question but didn't further pry. She had more important things on her mind. "Glad to be touching you so soon."

A satisfied smile claimed Randy's face when her hands slid over his waistline. She trickled her small fingers up his firm abdomen before making a trail southward.

"Listen-" she stopped midway. "Are you going to that gala for that new show?"

"I don't think so, babe."

"Mm, I see."

"You?"

"I'm thinking about it." She pulled away from him, taking a step backward.

"You're a damn tease. How are you gonna touch me like that and-"

"Sorry, I got work to do. I just wanted a little peck." The woman made an innocent pout.

"You better be done with your job by the time I finish my match." Randy lowered his face to give her the kiss she wanted.

"Oh don't worry, I'll give you another match after that one." Candy winked before heading towards the door.

He responded by sending a firm grab to her ass as she left his room. She nearly squealed but managed to quiet her vocal excitement when she came face to face with her boss, Stephanie McMahon.

"Stacy, have you seen Jackie?"

"No, I haven't. What's going on?" Candy stood straighter, her legs firmly touching together.

"She's in charge of half the wing in the Raw roster this week, but she hasn't delivered the scripts. If you see her, let her know she better distribute them before I see her myself."

Candy gave a firm nod. "You got it, boss. I'll be on the look out."

"Won't I be the envy of the town."

John's eyes bounced up and down his girlfriend's length. She wore a black chiffon maxi that clung perfectly around her curves. The delicate fabric loosely dropped to the floor with the side slit giving view to her tanned legs and black platforms. As she turned, John noticed the low cut that exposed her back which drew the eyes to her neatly fixed bun.

Alyssa finished twirling when she smiled sweetly at him. "You like?"

"I love. You look phenomenal." John continued to look at her, unable to comprehend the beauty before him.

"As do you, Mr. Cena. I love the gray tux and black tie. It's not the typical contrast."

John's dimples peaked through as he nodded in gratitude. Their eyes met, and he smiled even bigger. Extending his arm out to his date, he gave her one last full viewing. "Ready to go?"

Alyssa circled her arms around his and began to step out of their hotel room. They locked the door then walked in unison, comfortably resting on each other's weight. John whispered about wanting to undo her hair later. She giggled in response, a blush color coating her cheeks.

She bit her lip and eyed him. "I told you, we don't have to go to the gala."

"We don't, but I'm already having fun teasing you." He winked.

"Oh, two can play that-"

"Alyssa!"

The alertness in the voice that called her name stopped the couple from walking. They turned their heads to direction of the frantic tone and saw Jackie, one of the development writers in the WWE.

"Hey, Jackie. What's going on? You okay?" Alyssa disconnected from John's grasp to a slight.

"No, I'm- I'm not okay. I-I can't explain right now, but can you hand out these scripts for me tomorrow?"

"Sure, of course I can." Alyssa took the piles of ruffed up paper into her possession.

"I'll be back on the road as soon as I can. No one will even notice I'm gone."

"Wait, you're not telling the board you're leaving?"

"No. It's complicated. I promise I'll explain. Just cover up for me until I get back, okay? It won't be long."

"Okay, Jackie. Take care of yourself."

"I will. Thank you so much!"

The writer sped off within seconds, leaving Alyssa unsure of what to think. She turned to John with an open mouth.

"That was a bit bizarre, don't you think?"

Alyssa protectively hugged the piles of paper in her arms. "Yeah, well, it wouldn't be the WWE if it wasn't."

John pinched his forehead with his thumb and forefinger. "Damn right. There's plenty of entertainment on and off stage. Let's bring that to our room then go?"

"Yeah." Alyssa turned her heel and hoped this would be her last encounter with out of the ordinary tonight.

"I'm so glad we were able to meet at such short notice."

"Yeah, me too." Randy nodded. "I'd much rather be with you than at this random gala we all got invited to."

"Wow. You skipped out on that for me? I feel special."

"You are. You've always been, Sam."

Sam brought the glass of champagne to her lips for a sip. She missed this man. With the way he acted tonight, she wondered how it would've been if his demeanor was like this when their marriage was slipping away. Would it have kept them together? Would they still be married? Not willing to marinate too much into these thoughts, she gulped down more of the liquid.

"So, tell me how things have been," she said.

"Everything's been great. I'm still in love with the business even though it doesn't feel the same as it did when I started. Or even a year ago. When I'm off-ring, I spend my time doing more things I love. I work out. I eat. I spend time with-"

"A woman?"

Randy couldn't help the smile on his face. He suddenly felt like a little boy telling his mom about a crush. "Yeah, there's someone."

"Oooh. Tell me more."

"Well, her name is Candy."

Sam shot him a quizzical look.

"Yeah, she's gotten that same look before, which is why some people know her as Stacy. It's an easier name to accept, but I like the sound of Candy."

"Oh, I bet you do."

"I met her when I was drunk, but she was nice enough to give me a second chance when she found me sober." Randy paused when he realized who exactly it was across from him. "Is- is this weird?"

"What is?"

"Your former husband talking to you about his current love life?"

"Well, I came here to get a full update from you didn't I? No need to hold anything back."

Randy chuckled. There was something comforting about being able to talk to Sam again and so he continued on to talk about Candy.

"Wow. What a venue."

"No kidding."

John and Alyssa held hands as they looked up as high as they possibly could. Their necks were practically falling off the vertebrae. The cream Corinthian columns led their eyes to the vaulted ceiling about forty feet above their head. Below that were elaborate relief sculptures illuminated by streaks of yellow and blue lighting. Right in front of them was a twelve-foot ice sculpture of a carriage lit up by the same pastel lights. Around that were throngs of people dressed in ties and gowns. The sound of laughter, conversation, and the piano all melded into a festive melody.

"You'd think that working in this industry would get you bored of things like this," Alyssa said. Her eyes were still traveling the room.

"It helps this party is in the hands of a persistent bastard," John smirked.

The on-going joke made Alyssa laugh. She gripped his hand tighter. "Come on, let's go get some grub. I already see cocktail shrimp."

The two mingled their way into the crowd and ate gourmet finger food and introduced themselves to new people. Celebrities fanned over other celebrities. There were even people who knew Alyssa. It fascinated and humbled her to know that onstage personas were familiar with off-stage faces too. It wasn't just Neal who noticed her work. There were others too. It helped that the place was jam-packed. Each and everywhere the eye looked was an extravagant display of decoration, people, and entertainment. It was a successful event, one the new show hoped would kick off a great new pilot.

Alyssa, after exhausting all the talking and eating she could muster in half an hour, took a moment to herself to look around. Her eyes finally stopped on the man beside her, and she was sure this was the best part of the room. "Thanks for dragging me here. It's beautiful."

"My pleasure to be anywhere with you, Alyssa."

She was just about to give him a kiss when the infamous Neal Toretto joined their corner.

"John and Alyssa, it's good to see you guys. Thank you for coming."

"Thank you for having us. This is some Gatsby gala you got going on."

"We tried." Neal, dressed in a perfectly tailored khaki suit, beamed. "I wanted to introduce you guys to my girlfriend, Kate."

John and Alyssa exchanged glances before they noticed the blonde idly standing behind the producer.

Neal circled his arm around her waist and brought her closer. "Kate, this is John Cena and his beautiful girlfriend Alyssa. Alyssa and John, this is my lady Kate."

"Nice to meet you." Alyssa extended her hand and immediately noticed her sparkling blue eyes.

John, however, was distracted by his phone going off. All eyes moved to him as he pulled his phone out of his pocket. Briefly turning to Kate, he shot her an apologetic smile. "It's very nice to meet you. If you can excuse me, I have to take this call."

"No problem. It's nice to meet you both," the blonde said.

Alyssa forced a smile as she was left alone with Neal and Kate. She observed the couple. They were ridiculously beautiful and immaculate in all forms. Both had perfect hair and skin. Their attire appeared to be in pristine quality with exquisite material and fit. The five-piece suit that molded onto Neal's body had a herringbone weave which contrasted great with his well manicured nails and slicked-back hair.

"Enjoying the view?"

Alyssa's eyes were brought back to Neal's face at the sound of his voice. She felt her cheeks warming and was instantly thankful for the heavy hand she'd put on blush today. She couldn't believe he caught her staring at him. "I-I-um-"

"It's a beautiful place, isn't it?" Neal casually slipped his hands into the pocket of his trousers and looked around his orchestration.

Kate nodded. "It definitely is. You couldn't have made a more perfect ambiance."

Alyssa mentally cursed at herself. Why the hell did this man always make her feel unable to formulate a simple sentence? Why the hell was she eyeing him in the first place? And in front of his girlfriend? Yes, this man was gorgeous, but she'd seen a lot of good looking people before.

When Neal noticed Alyssa wasn't say anything, he looked back at her. She was absently staring off in space.

"I hope you enjoy the rest of the party, Alyssa. Kate and I will be going around to meet more guests. Just let me or any of the waiters know if you need anything. We'll be happy to accommodate you."

"Thanks," Alyssa said, relief claiming her as soon as the couple left. She noticed Neal do a quick look-back but tried her best not to return the glance. Instead, she looked around for John and noticed him at the bar. He was off his phone but had two cups in his hand. She took that as cue to go towards him.

"Hey, I got us water," John said. The couple had met halfway. "Unless you wanted a beer or wine?"

"No, water is fine. Thank you." Alyssa took the glass and let the liquid into her dry mouth.

"Princess McMahon called. There's some adjustments needed for the script since they came out late yesterday. She wants me to go over them with some of the roster right now."

"Oh. Is this any connection to Jackie?"

"I don't know. Steph didn't provide me with much details, but I gotta go right now."

Alyssa opened her mouth but John continued before she got a word in.

"You should stay-

"But-"

"-you got all dressed for this event, and you're the most beautiful woman in the room."

"But I came here with you."

"You're having a good time, right?" John traced his bent fingers along her cheekbone.

"With you, yes."

"Well there's a lot more people here and many are pleased to meet you. Go mingle and enjoy the night. You watch some of their shows. I'm sure you'll be good hands, baby."

The thought of her date leaving was daunting, but John was right. She didn't have to cut her experience short just because he had to. They were a couple after all not a Siamese. "I guess. Okay."

"Only if you want. I'm not trying to force you, but I just think you deserve to stay." John grabbed her hand and squeezed it tenderly before giving it a soft kiss.

"I guess I'll just stay. You're right. I don't get to see these people everyday, I might as well take advantage of the opportunity."

"Sounds good. At least everyone here already knows who you'll be coming home to."

Alyssa chuckled. Even if no one knew, he had nothing to worry about.

"Alright, baby. I'ma go. I'll catch a cab and leave the car to you."

"You sure?"

"Positive. I don't want you having to wait on a ride." John fished the jingling metal from his pockets and handed it to his date.

"Thank you. Enjoy work."

"Thanks." John pecked her lips before the two exchanged I love yous.

Meanwhile, Neal Toretto watched from afar as John walked away from Alyssa.
