*Ally`s P.O.V.*
It was finally the day of nationals and the day we got to see Austin in person again, and meet Sebastian and the others in person I was excited but nervous if me and Trish`s secret about Cheetah Beat gets out Austin will never forgive me, much less talk to me. Austin`s plane landed early in the morning so we were meeting him at around 8am that meant I had a hour to freak out.
*Austin`s P.O.V.*
I was excited, we were waiting to board our plane at the moment I was going to see Dez, Ally, and Trish in person. Plus they were going to meet Sebastian and the other warblers which I was kind of nervous about. "So you two have fun last night" I turned around to see Trent with a cheeky grin on his face "what are you talking about?" I didn`t want to go into details about what me and Seb did last night, but let`s just say it involves lounge. "Oh come on Austin I dorm right next to you, I heard everything" I rolled my eyes and Dave snickered "the whole hallway heard you, next time pick a place with thicker walls, seriously Niff are quieter than you guys" I heard everyone trying to hold a laugh I looked over at Sebastian who was holding the bridge of his nose and shaking his head. "So how far did you guys go?" "Oh my god Thad I'm not answering that!" there was some awkward silence as everyone looked at me and Sebastian "fine I blew him, there you guys happy now" I got some 'awws' and 'OHs' along with a few perverted wolf whistles (and I tried to ignore the death glare Dave was giving me.) "Plane 124 to Miami now boarding" I sighed in relief as we grabbed our suitcases and went to the gate.
The plane ride was boring manly because everyone just fell asleep going there me and Seb sat next to each other holding hands until we both fell asleep. I have the weirdest dreams on planes, but this one wasn`t so bad. I was in an interview with Helen, but I was a lot older late 20's at the least. "So Austin, you`ve been doing music for years how does it feel" Helen asked "it feels amazing I never imagined that little video would lead to this much success, especially with all the bumps along the way" I said with a smile "what were some of those bumps?" "I had a lot of them at first but the big two were me coming out and facing my messed up past" "that must have been hard dealing with all that homophobic hate at first" "yeah it was hard but I wasn't alone I had my brother Jeff and his now husband Nick and of course my husband Sebastian, we were only 16 and 17 at the time but it was way easier with them" I heard those words in my dream and only then did I noticed the gold ring on my own left hand. "And how is your team?" "it`s crazy to think we`re all either engaged or married now, and I'm happy for all of them especially Ally, she`s almost as successful as I am and she did it all on her own, but she could have never have done it with Gavin" So Ally was together with Gavin, whoever that was, this was great and I knew we still kept together, if this was our future then sign me up.
*Seb`s P.O.V.*
I fell asleep quickly on the plane and the dream started off as it always did, having me scared to death running though the labyrinth, the door with barb wire, it was all the same. Hunter came out with the knife but something stopped him, this was new. As I got a better look it wasn`t something it was someone Austin grabbed him and he exploded into golden dust, wow I've been reading way to much Percy Jackson. The knife dropped onto the stone flour with a clang and he ran over and hugged me, and he carried me bridal style over to the doors, I didn`t feel embarrassing like I would think it would, it was like it got lighter every step he took. As the wire disappeared as he walked through the doors to a balcony the doors slammed shut and dissolved like Hunter it was gone, Austin had saved me. Outside it was sunny and warm, and most importantly safe. No more running, no more bloody knives it was just me and Austin Moon, and I was pretty happy with that.
"Seb, Seb, Sebastian!" "Huh" I was being shook out of my sleeping state, I opened my eyes and there he was "hey sleeping beauty were about to land don`t worry I just woke up myself" Austin said with a grin I punched him lightly in the arm for the name and put my seat belt on as the plane started to go down to Miami.
We got off the plane with relief because let`s just say turbulence sucks, I even heard someone yell "solid ground!" I would have laughed but I was too caught up my own thoughts. Not to say I was worried about meeting Dez, Trish, and Ally but let`s face it meeting someone`s ex is awkward. "Austin" that snapped me out of my thoughts "hey guys" Austin yelled as we picked up our bags and headed to the door. I was glad Austin let me hold his hand when I met Ally it was a simple jester but the message was clear, Austin was MINE. We talked on our way to the hotel turns out we get along really well considering we are going face to face tomorrow. After dinner we were all called to our rooms and we said goodbye to the Miami gang, "that went really well" Austin said as we walked to our hotel room "I thought it was going to be awkward but there all really nice" "yeah there all pretty great friends, but that`s not going to stop we from whooping their butts tomorrow" I chuckle "come on let's get to bed" Austin said "but Its only like 8 and I'm not tired" "I never said anything about sleeping" he said with a cheeky grin; I smiled I was liking were this was going.
*Ally`s P.O.V.*
It was around 8 when me and Trish got back to my house "well that was interesting" Trish said with a yawn. "Yeah but I'm too exhausted to talk about it" I said trying to keep my eyes opened "well I'll see you in the morning big day tomorrow" and my face hit the pillow.
"Ally wake up" Trish shook me violently to wake me. "Trish I'm up, I'm up, stop it" "okay we got to get ready today`s nationals remember" I glared at her "no Trish I totally forgot the biggest day in glee club history" I said dripping with sarcasm "see this is why you need breakfast now come on" okay she has been hanging around Dez way too much wow never thought I would think that. I got dressed and got ready as fast as I could "Ally hurry up" "you know that just makes me want to go slower right?" "Shut up" I giggled and came out for breakfast. Trish was in there for an hour, and she told me to hurry when she finally came down we finished breakfast. We got there and the auditorium was huge. Those lyrics couldn`t be more real for me, Jeff and countless others at Dalton it had been our escape we performed our other songs with flawless energy and adrenalin, we were feeling pretty pumped by the time we were done. We sat through countless other performances and then came my old glee club, and after they were done I was kind of worried, Ally did a good job of putting a spin on Lady Gaga. She even gave Trish a solo which was what had me worried, who knew she had range. Now we were waiting backstage for the final announcement "hey" Seb held my hand tenderly "win or lose, it`s going to be okay" I kissed him on the cheek "you guys are so sweet, think I might just start up chucking rainbows" Dave said with a smirk and Seb just rolled his eyes and smiled. "there about to make the announcement get on stage Warblers" the tech guy yelled at us and we all assembled on stage with the B-flats and Vocal Adrenalin "third place goes to Vocal Adrenalin" I breathed in and held Seb`s hand so tight I think I cut off circulation "and our champions are…
The Dalton Academy A Cappella Warblers with the B-flats at second congratulations" we went crazy and me and Seb got lost in each other`s arms and kissed, yeah I did it I kissed him in front of everyone on national television, people wanted to hate they could but I cared for Sebastian I was willing to take it. After we broke off I looked over to Ally, Trish and Dez they were down but I saw they were trying to be happy for me. I smiled sympathetically to them and held the trophy up high with Seb, Jeff, and Nick each holding a corner I was skimming the crowd and I saw Jimmy and Kira in the crowd. We were told to go back stage until the crowd cleared enough so we can leave.
"Austin that was amazing" "hey Jimmy" I greeted him "hey Kira" she waved at me shyly, this was new "come on I have people for you to meet I dragged him over to the others like he was my dad "Jimmy this my brother Jeff Sterling, his boyfriend Nick Duvel, Dave Thompson, Thad Harwood, Trent Nixon, and Beats, don`t asked for his real name no one knows" "I know it it`s Rich-" Beats cut Dave off by clamping his hand over his mouth "and I think you know who this is" I said as I put my arm around Seb`s waist as I pulled him in closer "Sebastian Smythe" he extended his hand which Jimmy eagerly shook "um Austin you do know you kissed him on national television right" Kira said "yeah I know but it`s not fair that I lie to my fan hate as they will he`s worth it" I held both his hand and pressed our foreheads together "your worth it" which was followed by a choirs of "awws"
"guys don`t aww it`s what makes it cheesy" Trent said and we burst out laughing "so Austin, Jeff are your parents here?" "god I hope not" that would have been a real downer on my night "it`s too soon to see them, they're the ones that kicked me out and forced Jeff to go to Dalton, I don`t want to see them any time soon, someday I'll see them but I don't want someday to be now and-" "Um Austin" I looked over to see what Jeff was so worried about, everyone got quiet then I saw them Mike and Mimi I wasn`t even calling them mom and dad anymore "I'll leave you guys alone" and Jimmy and Kira were off, thanks a lot.
I swallowed hard and I could see Jeff trying to not look terrified in the corner of my eye "what are you guys doing here" Jeff said breaking the silence "you guys were great congrats on the win" Mimi said in her cheery voice like nothing happened between us "thank you ma'am" David said and I wanted to hung him until he popped, but Melissa would not like a deflated boyfriend. "And you are?" "David Thompson, head council of the warblers" "you're in charge of this little group" Mike finally said something "yes sir I am and this is a private room, you have be let in by one of us to be in here so I'm going to have to ask you to leave" my parents seemed shocked but turned around and got the hint that they weren`t welcome "I'll talk to you guys later" my mom said as she left "or don't I could care less what you do Mimi" I shot out she turned around and I gave a frilly little wave as I rewrapped my arm around Seb`s waist and Jeff kissed Nick on the cheek, yep that felt pretty good .
Once we got the okay to go we towed the trophy to the hotel and set it down in Dave and Beats' room. I as feeling pretty good we won, and I stood up to my parents a little bit "I'm sorry I just stood there when Mom and Dad came in the room" Jeff said as we headed to our room "Jeff it`s okay, I know how Mike treated you, he beat you for god`s sake I never expected you to have a conversation with him, and you did kiss Nick in front of them that took balls" "thanks" "hey Austin" I heard the little voice that I use to hear every day "Ally what are you doing here" I said as I hugged her tight "I wanted to congratulate you guys and I wanted to talk to you" "aw thanks but it came close you guys were good" "thanks now let`s go, Dez and Trish are waiting at sonic boom" and she dragged me out the hotel door I had like 10 seconds to turn around to wave good bye to Jeff.
I greeted Dez with our "secret" hand shake with what up "god I missed doing that" "yeah hey guess what Ally got today" "what" I turned to her and she had the biggest grin on her face "I got a guy's phone number" she and Trish squealed "his name is Gavin and he's Ronnie's newest artist" "hope it works out Ally, you deserve it" I was happy she finally moved on. Dez had Carrie, Trish had Jace, Ally had a good chance with Gavin, and I had Sebastian everything was changing for the better and we were all finally happy.
