Yay! I am back! I had real life stuff to deal with but I am back! I tried to make this chapter extra long for you lovelies because of my absence! But I have the real world stuff sorted out and I'm hoping to wrap this story up within the next couple of chapters! So yay! :)

I lifted the heavy box into my arms and felt a glare on the back of my head, "Oh come on!"

Shizu-chan could try all he wanted, but no hole was being burned into my head, "You shouldn't be lifting such heavy boxes! Seriously you got hurt what? A month ago?"

"Shizu-chan!" I whined moving the box to the hallway, "It's been a month… Who cares?"

"I do flea!" He lifts the fucking night stand with no effort what so ever.

"Well good for you! I'm gonna lift whatever I want!" I stuck my tongue out and grabbed another box.

"Is moving day always this stressful?" Shinra's voice carried from the open doorway.

"No." I commented without greeting him, "Only when you have an overbearing, overprotective, protozoan for a boyfriend."

"Oh can it flea!" Shizuo walked past me, an angry peck to the cheek had me ready to throw a knife at him. How dare you give me affection when you scold me like a child?!

"Oh young love." Shinra said sarcastically while taking a box from my arms, "Are you sure you can live together?"

"We've done it so far." I said moving past him.

"Good luck with that then!" Shinra said skipping towards the elevator, "I'll see you guys later!"

"Izaya?" Shizu-chan was standing by the fridge, "Your doctor's appointment?"

"What doctor's appointment?" I replied not bothering to show him my face.

He suddenly was behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist, "The one today?"

I froze and turned my face away from him, "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Liar."

I felt his teeth bite down on my shoulder, "Ow! Hey!"

"Let's go." He tugged on my ear with his mouth gently, "Final doctor's visit."

With a lot of arguing and a lot of patience, and only one knife thrown… Shizu-chan had me over his shoulder and walking to that stupid fucking doctor. "Put me down Shizuo Heiwajima!"

"Nope. No can do Izaya." He was probably smirking and feeling proud of himself. "Can't hate me because I care."

I rolled my eyes and sprawled out over his back, "Shizu-chan."

"If you go, I'll buy you ootoro." He practically purred the offer. My stomach did want some delicious sushi though. Dammit Shizuo! "Is that a yes?"

"Fine." I pouted and allowed him to carry me through the hospital. This time the brute stayed by my side and growled at the nurses and the doctor when they got to close. I kept glaring at him, "Shizu-chan!"

The nurse jumped and realized I wasn't barking at her. Shizuo caught my glare and gave me one back, "Well Izaya!" The doctor's booming voice stopped our glaring competition. "You'll notice that you won't be able to run as long as you used too. I had to patch your lung so… Sorry." I swallowed hard. "As for any other permanent damage, I believe the only other thing is the scar. I'm glad we could patch you up."

"So I can leave and never come back?" I smirked ready to bolt for the door.

"Yes."

My feet hit the floor and I was shoving past everyone and walking as fast as I could without running toward the door. Shizuo caught my arm, "You're in a rush."

I licked my lips, "I want sushi."

"You're afraid of doctor's?"

"No I just don't care for them." I began trying to walk away but the strong hold on my wrist was not letting go anytime soon. I gave Shizu-chan a dirty look and yanked only to be pulled tighter to him. "Sushi?"

Shizu-chan chuckled before quickly pecking my lips, "A promise is a promise."

I'd noticed he'd been kissing me like this a lot. He'd catch me, make me wait a moment, then quickly peck my lips and grin. This always caused me to blush and look away. "Just buy me sushi you brute."

He laughed and pulled me out the door and to Russia Sushi. Simon greeted us, "I so glad you two not fight anymore! Great!"

Shizu-chan rolled his light brown eyes and walked past him throwing a hand over his shoulder, "Moving day makes him irritable." I snickered moving past the large man.

A caught the side of an angry face, "What was that flea?"

I laughed and moved around him to a private room, "Oh nothing sweetheart!"

He sat on the opposite side of the table and gave me a playful glare, "You're an asshole."

I smirked and placed my elbows on the table, before placing my head in my hands, "I wouldn't be Izaya Orihara without being an asshole."

Shizu-chan rolled his eyes ones again before giving me the kiss look. One look at Simon standing in the door way was enough to stop him though. "You want usual yes?"

"I was promised that if I was a good boy I'd get my sushi."

"Good boy?" Simon said.

"I didn't even cry when the doctor stabbed me with a needle."

Shizu-chan ushered Simon out the door, "You're in an unusually great mood."

I did feel a bit giddy, this whole moving in thing had me on a fresh path. "I guess today has been a good day."

He smiled sweetly and shook his head, "We're a love sick couple from your sisters' movie collection."

"Their fucked up movie collection." I corrected with a smile, "But as clichéd as couples get, we're practically a romantic comedy with a twinge of drama."

His eyes went a little glazed over for a minute. "No I'm pretty sure we fit into the movie collection."

I touched a fading hickey bruise. "Right."

After we ate it was time to move in the newest load. I stood in the doorway, a box in my hand. "Are you coming?" Shizuo asked as I scanned the room.

It was empty and white walled, simple yet… Modern and elegant. I looked to the granite tops in the kitchen, then to the glass wall but the old style entertainment center. The fancy hand railing that reminded me of an old style mansion, that lead up to our bedroom. A king sized bed with a giant wooden headboard. The decision on that headboard just about had us at each other's throats. I wanted an all metal frame, Shizu-chan wanted a simple wood post. Just as we were about to leave the store, both pissed, I caught the massive piece in the corner of my eye.

"That's the one you want?" The store manager asked us.

Shizuo shrugged and turned back to it, "It's obnoxious, but simple…"

"It's fucking perfect!" I defended the piece.

"Yeah… It's kind of perfect."

"Izaya?"

I glanced up to my love's face, "Hm?"

"You okay? Too much sushi?"

I laughed and moved into the apartment completely, setting my box down on the bar, "No… Just thinking."

"Oh…" His face fell, "If you don't want to do this-."

"You idiot." I smirked and smacked his chest lightly before setting down on the sofa, "I was thinking about how this place is a mixture of both of us… And how nicely it all works together."

He smiled kindly and leaned down to kiss me. Our lips met and I smiled, "Hm."

His tongue asked for entrance of my mouth and I pushed away, "We still have work to do brute. We can't call it home unless all of our clothes are here and our toothbrushes… Most importantly, soap, because you make a mess when you get… Excited."

Shizu-chan smirked, "I don't have a problem with it."

"Of course you don't."

Over the next week we slowly moved everything we didn't sell into the new apartment. I sat down on the couch and propped my feet up on our new coffee table. "I know you aren't putting your feet on the clean coffee table right now." Shizu-chan growled behind me.

I titled my head back and smirked, "I know you aren't upside down right now!"

"Flea…" He warned in that growl chest voice.

I moved my feet and stuck my tongue out at him. "You're turning me soft Shizu-chan."

"You're doing it all on your own." He smiled sweetly and moved on with a box. "Remind me again why you aren't helping move shit?"

I gave an innocent smile, "Because Shizu-chan… I had to run all over the city today."

"And the greatest energizer bunny is finally dying?" He sarcastically moved to toss the box in his arms into my new office.

"I still get tired you know! It's not always a walk in the park being me! Even a god like me gets tired!"

He flopped down next to me and threw his arms across the back of our new couch. It was a sign that he wanted one of two things. He wanted me to snuggle into his chest, or he wanted me to roll my eyes and admit to being a human and then cook dinner. I'm above those humans. Does that mean my monster beside me was above them as well? Of course it did… Why was I devoting myself almost wholly to him if he was just a mere human? Rolling my eyes I went with the less degrading option. I leaned my head up against his strong chest and curled into his side.

His arm wrapped around me and he sighed heavily, "I will never hear you say it."

"You're not human either Shizu-chan." I pointed out, "Humans don't lift vending machines."

He rolled his eyes and shrugged but then sighed heavily and looked out across the city with me. I took a deep breath and slowly let it out, "So here we are… A domestic lifestyle."

"It's a lot more relaxing than chasing your ass around the city." He smirked.

"Kind of boring though."

That smirk came off his face as soon as the words left my mouth, "Oh so I'm boring now?"

"No… But think about it… We're gonna get bored of the normal every day, Hi honey I'm home. I refuse to be a desperate newlywed wife."

"So what do you want?" He was interested I knew that much.

I lay down on the couch placing my head on his leg. "We could always come out to the world in a shocking and amusing way."

He flicked my head lightly, "You fought me for a week on coming out to Shinra."

"Well…" I picked a fuzzy off his sweat pants, "I don't know."

"So what was your spectacular coming out idea?" His hands ran through my hair and relaxed me. Such gentle fingers for trying to kill me at one point in time. The thought made me chuckle.

"I don't know… Why don't we chase each other all over town and then you catch me and we make out?" I yawned and stretched my arms.

"The only time you 'make out' with me is when you want something." He tugged on my hair lightly.

I giggled and smacked his hand, "Shut up!"

Turning over I stared up at him and then our new home. His gaze slowly follows mine, "What?"

"You really think this is going to work?" My voice was soft and scared and I cursed myself for it.

Mocha eyes rolled and landed back on me, "We've made it a month… Why can't we make it longer?"

"I'm just… Worried."

He ran calloused fingers down my cheek and smiled gently, "You've changed flea."

"Changed?" I felt my eyebrows crinkle in confusion.

"You've gone a little soft… Like a kitten." I rolled my eyes and reminded him of the knife I threw during a small fight two weeks ago. "Hate to see what a big fight is going to look like."

I rolled my eyes, "Because our relationship is perfect."

"It won't be." He smiled once again, "But it's us… What could possibly go that wrong?"

"A lot." I sat up and rubbed my eyes with my fist, "So what's for dinner Shizu-chan?"

"Why do I have to make dinner tonight?" He complained running hands across my shoulders.

"I'm tired, remember?" I sighed at the comfort his hands offered.

"Then you can close your eyes and ears while I order pizza." He snickered removing his hands.

"Our first night in our new home and you want to order pizza?" I glare, "How horrible."

"I didn't see you offering to make dinner." He smirked grabbing his phone.

I couldn't say I was completely against the idea… "Fine, fine… If you insist on killing me with…"

"Hi. I need two large-" He smirked as he stood to walk around. It was a weird habit that when he was on the phone he needed to be wandering. I found it strange but stayed quiet as usual respecting his phone call. After he hung up I gave him my most innocent look, "What flea?"

"Oh nothing." I smile and get up before twirling around him. His eyes follow my swaying hips, "How long before pizza is here?"

"An hour." He eyes were trailing my body hungrily.

"Are you sure you're hungry for pizza, Shizu-chan?" I purred leaning against the fancy stairwell.

He licked his lips, "I have an hour for an appetizer. Good thing I ordered larges."

I smirked and turned to the stairs, "Oh well… Let's get you nice and hungry then."

The chase was on. His footsteps behind me urged me to race up the stairs and into our new bedroom. It was the familiar feeling of the chase… Expect I didn't have to worry about flying furniture… But the familiar chase made me feel some nostalgia. "Let's make this place home." He growled behind m in that husky deep voice.

In an hour I was in the shower cleaning up, "Shizu-chan door!"

He grumbled from the mirror, "I'm not deaf flea."

"No? Well, that's not what you said ten minutes ago."

"Not my fault you scream really loudly." He snickered while my cheeks heated red inside the shower. "That is Shizuo one, Izaya nothing!"

"Just answer the damn door you brute!"

I heard retreating footsteps so I assumed he left. Once downstairs I grabbed a slice and slapped it onto a plate. "Wanna watch a movie?"

"No… I want to talk about the coming out plan."

"You make no sense." He rolled his eyes and sat on the couch flipping on a movie we'd seen hundreds of times.

"Why?"

"You pitched a fit and fought me forever on Shinra… Why suddenly the world needs to know?"

I blushed and felt guilt and jealousy rise in my stomach, "No reason."

"Izaya." He warned as I sat beside him. My eyes refused to meet his, "Why?"

I snuck a glance and tried to keep my voice and eyes strong, "Because I want everyone to know what is mine."

"You're mad because that girl asked me out on a date." He smiled a knowing smile at me.

"NO!" I shouted shoving pizza into my mouth. Okay maybe he was better at reading me than I thought. I am the great Izaya Orihara, I refuse to be a complete girl! "You didn't even tell me about a girl asking you out!"

"I didn't have to." He smirked and leaned over, "I saw you sneak off the building."

Suddenly I was choking on a bite of pizza, "I was not sneaking off!"

"You climbed down the fire escape and hid in the shadows until I walked off." He was grinning ear to ear, "You don't have to stalk me you know… I'm seriously only looking at you. I only love you and I only want you."

My ears felt hot as he pecked my cheek, "Shut up!"

"Flea…" He smiled and ruffled my hair, "I promise."

My face was extremely red as he said such embarrassing words, "So…"

"Alright… Fine…" We settled into the movie and I finished eating quickly. Once done I cuddled into his side and listen to the steady beat of his heart. I hate being in love… But… I don't want to be alone anymore… It's nice knowing at least one person loves me.

"Shizu-chan?" I asked quietly.

He shifted and wrapped his other arm around me, "Yeah?"

I sighed and accepted the comfort. Slowly I gripped his soft t-shirt, "Don't go anywhere."

"I'm not." His grip around me tightened and I smiled lightly.

"IIIZZZAAAYYYAAA!" The booming voice of Shizu-chan was music to my ears.

I drew my blade, "Shizu-chan! What a surprise!"

"I thought I told you to stay away!" The glint behind his glasses held a bit of playfulness that only I could see. Tom eyed us and smirked, obviously he was aware. Shizu-chan keep your mouth shut!

"Stay away! Come closer! It's really all the same when you send me such mixed signals you know!"

"Mixed symbols?" He drew a break-away stop sign out of the ground (courtesy of my 2:30 in the morning work) and swung it into his hands.

"Your body obviously wants me closer, but your mouth says otherwise! But that's not what I seem to recall from last night!" I danced along the edge of a concrete median. "So tell me Shizu-chan! Do you want to kill me… Or do you want something much worse?"

I had to admit I was a little embarrassed saying some of these things, but Shizu-chan looked it. His face was red and he shook his head quickly. "Too much." His eyes spoke while he mouthed the words.

I gave a goofy grin but twirled my knife in my hand, "Shizu-chan, enlighten me, do you chase after me because you harbor actual feelings for me?"

He growled, "So what? Wouldn't you reject me anyways?"

There was a massive crowd surrounding us now. They all jumped when we moved closer and closer together. I smirked and licked my lips, "You know… I've thought about this scenario several times."

He chucked the sign, "Don't screw with me Izaya!"

I smiled wide, "Why don't you chase me to find out? One final chase?" We were standing in front of each other, a good five feet away. "This time… If you catch me I tell you what I truly think of you… If I get away… I get to hear exactly what you think."

"Deal." He smirked with a wink under his glasses. Tom looked amused behind him while I spun on my heel, "You ready?"

"Yup!" I laughed turning and running down the street, shoving past the crowd. They all turned and followed us though. Good… Humans need to do what I want them to. I could hear Shizu-chan yelling my name in that voice he used to. It made me smile but I kept running. A breakaway trashcan flew past me. It crashed into a building and disappeared into dust. Quickly I laughed and jumped a median before changing sides of the streets. Shizu-chan was chasing me, holding a yield sign in his hands.

I paused to look for a public display of "escape". The sign came crashing into the tree behind me, "Flea!"

I smiled lovingly at him before turning to run, "Yes Shizu-chan?"

His breath was right in my ear making me flinch, "I love you flea."

My lips tugged into a smile and felt his arms around me comfortably. Everyone around us was holding their breath. We walked to the middle of the sidewalk and Shizu-chan spun me around to face him. I smirked, "So… I guess it's time."

"Yup." He smiled happily. The glint in his eyes made me smile just as happy.

"Fine." I glanced around at everyone holding their breath, "I feel that chase was very anticlimactic."

"It was short lived… Almost like you wanted to be caught."

"Well… Maybe it's because I wanted to get close enough to try and get my heart back." Oh my fuck… That was so cheesy.

"Take it back?" His eyebrow rose as I noticed him leaning closer to kiss me.

"But now I realize I don't want to… I love you Shizu-chan."

He smirked and very slyly said, "I know." Before tripping me backwards to dip me, then kissed me hard. I wrapped my arms around his neck and smiled against his lips. Everyone around us either scoffed in disgust or cheered and whistled.

"Not such a bad idea."

"You were scared for nothing." He smirked.

I glanced around, "Shut up and kiss me brute."
