Hey guys! I'm done my exams and I am officially on summer vacation whoooooooooooo. I plan on partying and tanning for the next two months and as this is posted I have a hangover at this moment -_- But whateves and just a friendly reminder I will not have a new chapter posted next week as I will be on the beach :) Also does anybody watch Orphan Black? I have an idea for a story but I don't know who would read it, let me know in the reviews. Anyways enjoy
The next thing she knew they were falling onto the bed.
"Why did they put exams so close to prom?" Glimmer questioned as she sat in the hallway scanning over her Chemistry book. Today was the day of there first exam. They had the next four days of them and she could tell her friends were freaking out about them. Prom was just two days ago and they hadn't had much time to study in the last three days.
"Cause they hate us?" Kat said flipping through a bio book. "I have no idea whats happening in this class" she said pointing to the front cover.
"Join the club" Glimmer mumbled under her breath not taking her eyes of the page. "I don't know anything which means I'm gonna fail"
"Your not gonna fail" Clover said trying to help as she sat beside her drinking her coffee out of a travel mug. "You'll be fine"
Glimmer flipped another page in her book and Clove saw her eyes going a mile a minute of the text. She was going to have a major headache later. "Says you" she said finally looking up and blinking a couple of times to restore her eyesight.
"You have A's in all your classes and you know what your learning"
"Don't you have an eighty-seven in Biology?" Clove said taking another sip.
"That's not the point" she said going back to her book. "The point is that there is so much information to remember and I spaced out in the last unit so I have no idea what its about"
"Guess" Jackie said pipping in over her Math book. "There's a fifty fifty chance on getting it right"
"I don't even know why your stressing" Kat said finally closing her book. "You don't even need chem for the University your going to" Glimmer sighed as she finally closed her textbook and leaned her head back against a locker her eyes shut.
"Your right" she said not opening them. "I know what I'm doing, there's no reason to stress. Just go in there and kill it"
"You will" Clove said giving her a high five once she opened her eyes. "Meanwhile I'm going to go kill myself while I do a math exam" she said standing up from the floor finishing her coffee. Today was the hottest day of the year by far and Clove was dressed summer causal. She had on white high wasted shorts with a tank blouse blouse in light blue. She also had on black wedges and her hair was tied up into a pony tail.
"If your so worried" Glimmer said following her exact move. "Why aren't you studying?"
"I gave up on studying last night. My brain was going to mush and was about to explode"
"I know that feeling" Kat said sighing. "So" she said noticing Clove's nice outfit. "Why are you so dressed up?"
"Today is me and Cato's seventh month anniversary, were going out for lunch after"
"Cute" Jackie said. "Me and Thresh's eight month is next Tuesday"
"Me and Peeta will be a year and a half next month" Kat pipped in. "Glimmer how long have you and Marvel been together now?"
"We will be a year in September" she said as she slid her textbook into her bag. "I can't believe he has put up with me for that long"
"Peeta to" Kat said as she ran a hand through her hair. "I can't believe he's put up with my shit all this time. No ones ever gonna be like him, ever. Guess he's stuck with my ass forever" she said laughing.
"Hey as long as you have a pretty decent ass, I don't think he's going to complain" Clove said.
Just then the bell rang and there principal came over the speaker. "Attention students" he said loud making Clove cringe. "Please report to your first period classroom for your first period exam"
"You know" Glimmer said as she started to walk with Clove to the stairs to go to third floor. Jackie and Kat had there exams on the first floor right down the hall so they walked together.
"They tell us everyday for a week about our exams and yet they still remind us the day of, on where to go. I think most people know what there doing"
"True, I think they want it permanently in our brains though" she said as they climbed the stairs along with tons of other students going to there classes. The stairs smelt of sweat and stress from all the kids nervous.
"It is permanently in my brain. It has been for two weeks. That's how long I've been stressing about these exams"
"Its fine, and your gonna be fine" Clove said as they stopped off at Glimmers class first. "Just remember to breath and double check all your answers. You should be fine"
"Same goes to you" Glimmer said as she gave Clove a hug of encouragement.
"Students please report to your classroom as exams will start in ten minutes" the speaker yelled at them again.
"Bye" Clove said as she scurried down the hallway to her classroom.
Before she knew it the exam started. It was a two and a half hour exam and before Clove knew it she was done. The exam was okay, some questions were tricky and some weren't. She felt she did okay on it and hoped to have a least a B on the exam that way it wouldn't drop her mark to much. Just as the bell was about to ring her teacher called everyone to attention.
"Class I have your graduation caps and gowns here to take home with you. Remember your graduation day is the twenty-seventh which is a week today. Be a hour early for seating and read the instructions in your gown package on how graduation day will go. I will see you all next week. Good luck on the rest of your exams"
Clove packed up her pencil case and calculator and turned in her math textbook for that semester. She searched through the pile of gowns before she found her bag with her name on it. She couldn't believe she was graduating in just a week. It seemed like she entered high school as a freshman just in September. She stuffed the bag into her purse and hurried out of the classroom just as the bell rung. Once out of class she meet up with friends to discuss how there exams went.
"Bio was nothing. I was freaking out for no reason. Easiest exam I've taken" Glimmer said.
"See? Didn't I tell you that? You should listen to me more often" Clove laughed nudging her shoulder.
"And I should listen to my parents more often about cleaning my room but that will probably never happen so get used to it" she said as they started to leave the school to get to there cars. "So how was math?"
"Eh" Clove said making a face as they reached the parking lot. The day was beautiful with the sun shinning down and the sky was a perfect blue. After lunch Clove considered going home to tan before she started studying for tomorrows exam. "It was kinda hard but I have no idea how I did. I probably just bombed it"
"I'm sure you were fine" Glimmer said as she unlocked her car. "Your getting a drive with Cato right?"
"Yep, speak of the devil" she said eyeing him from across the parking lot as he came out of the school.
"Were you guys going for lunch?" Glimmer asked as she threw her bag into the passenger seat of her car and slid in the drivers side but kept the door open.
"A breakfast place. Were grabbing brunch seeing how its only eleven thirty"
"Well I hope you have fun" Glimmer said starting the car. "But I gotta get home. I have my physics exam tomorrow and I have a sixty five in the class so I have to get a hundred on this exam to bring my mark to a seventy"
"Alright I'll see you tomorrow morning" she said as she stepped aside to let Glimmer close her car door and back out of her parking spot. Just as Glimmer pulled away Cato came up beside her.
"Ready to go, I'm starving" he said.
"Ya" she said as she held his hand as they walked to his car. They got in and then headed to the restaurant. The drive was only about ten minutes and the parking lot was almost empty when the arrived.
"Hi" the hostess said when they walked in. "Table for two?"
"Yes please" Cato said holding Clove's hand.
"Booth or table" she said grabbing menus from behind the computer.
"Booth" he said.
"Right this way then" she motioned for them to follow her to around the middle of the restaurant. "Here you go" she said setting the menus down in front of them after they were seated. "Your server will be here in a few minutes"
"Alright" they both said as the perky blonde left with a smile on her face. They talked for no less then a minute about exams before there waitress appeared with a note pad in hand.
"How are you guys doing today?" she said smiling showing a set of big white teeth.
"Good" Cato said.
"Alright my name is Cathy I'll be your server today. Can I start you off with any drinks?"
"Coffee" they both said at the same time.
"Alright and do you need more time to look at the menus?"
"No we've decided" Clove said handing them back to her. "I'll have the waffles with banana's and whip cream"
"Okay" she said writing it down. "And you" she said to Cato.
"Can I have the the buttermilk pancakes with a side of home fries"
"Absolutely. Your coffee will be ready in a minute and your food should be out soon" she said leaving to attended to other tables.
"So I have a gift" Cato said once she left. "Its for our seven month" he said digging into his pocket of his jeans and pulled out a small back box.
"You said we weren't giving gifts" she said as she took the box from his hands and fiddled with it before opening it.
"I know but I thought you could use this"
"This isn't what I think it is, is it?" she said implying to an engagement ring.
He laughed as he shook his head. "No nothing like that, just open it" Clove snapped the box open and inside was a key ring with two little gold keys on it. On the top one was painted black and the other white.
"What is this?" she said picking them up.
"Well I thought about when we go away to school in the fall its kinda far to be travelling everyday for class. So I talked to my parents about it and this is my graduation gift. Those are the keys to our new apartment one block away from the school"
Clove was speechless, her mouth was gaping open. "Your parents bought you an apartment?"
"No my parents bought us an apartment. Clove would you do me the honour of moving in with me in the fall"
Clove couldn't get the words out to say yes. Instead she just nodded with a huge smile on her face. She was moving in with Cato into there own home in the fall. Everything was moving at super sonic speed and she couldn't be happier.
