Chapter 18-Young and Mighty
As the sun was about to set, Zane, Leonardo, Selena, and Rila had set sail on the boat to Galuna Island. On the boat, Selena noticed that Zane was going through his usual motion sickness and kept walking until she reached the head of the boat where Leonardo had walked right next to her.
"Zane's going through motion sickness again?" Selena asked.
"Yes, it's one of the downsides of having dragon slayer magic." Leonardo answered "I'm curious to know why you're attracted to my older brother."
"Come on, you've got to admit, Zane is freaking hot." Selena replied "Plus, the fact that he's fire and I'm ice makes us a definite fateful match."
"I don't think so." Leonardo replied back "How can you two find any attraction with each other with your conflicting elements? Your brother Terra is an ice wizard just like you, and he and Zane fight all the time."
Leonardo recalled how Zane and Terra would fight each other like their fathers Natsu and Gray would often do.
"How would you have any idea about how relationships work?" Selena asked "You're not old enough to be attractive yet because you're only 10."
"Well, it won't be too much longer, though." Leonardo answered.
"So, Galuna Island is having some strange seismic activity." Selena commented "If we're assigned for this cause, I've come prepared.
Selena made a display of her ice powers and Leonardo began to take out his magic items.
"On that note, I'm glad that my mother gave me some of her celestial keys." Leonardo commented "And her whip."
When Zane, Leonardo, Selena, and Rila reached Galuna Island, they proceeded to walk through its jungle in order to find the person they were going to meet. Eventually, they made it when Zane told them to stop. The team looked upwards to see a hooded figure hiding up in the tree and jumped down in front of them. The person took off the hood and cloak to reveal that she was Katara Alberona, the only daughter of Cana Alberona. Katara was dressed in a white cropped shirt that showed off her midriff, black pants, and blue running shoes. Her Fairy Tail insignia tattoo was located on the bottom left area of her stomach just like her mother. Katara practiced the same card magic as Cana.
"How's it going, guys?" Katara asked.
"It's a pleasure to see you again, Katara." Zane answered.
"No, the pleasure is mine that I get to see my friends again." Katara replied.
Katara immediately hugged Zane, Leonardo, Selena, and Rila all at once. When she let them go, she started to talk about why she invited them there.
"Is there any reason you asked Zane to bring us to meet you here?" Selena asked.
"I'm going to assist you guys in helping to stop the island's seismic activity." Katara answered "I've searched through the island so far and what I've found out that it's being caused by a large beast that's hidden underground."
"Alright, let's go kick some ass!" Leonardo shouted.
"Leo, you're 10 years old." Rila commented "Don't talk like that."
"You sound just like your mother." Leonardo commented back.
"Hold on just a minute." Katara continued explaining "The beast is actually a wizard that has actually used a Take Over transformation and does not know how to change back. In this frustration, this beast has hidden underground and rampaged causing the ground above to shake. Thus, this wizard has caused the seismic activity on the island."
All of a sudden, the ground started to shake around them causing them to fall down to ground. Once the shaking stopped, they immediately stood back up.
"So, how are we going to stop this beast?" Zane asked.
"I've brought a Scribe wizard from Fairy Tail who can help the beast transform back into a human." Katara answered.
The Scribe wizard happened to be a Fairy Tail member named Larsa Redfox. Larsa was an 11 year old boy who happened to be the third child and youngest son of Gajeel and Levy. Larsa was a Scribe wizard just like his mother Levy. Larsa had an appearance of medium-length light blue hair, blue eyes, and was currently wearing an orange long-sleeved shirt, black pants, and white shoes. Larsa was the most serious of her siblings Leon and Leanna, and often worked very hard on his reading.
"Don't worry…I know how to make sure this wizard transforms back from his Take Over magic." Larsa confirmed.
"Hey, how are you doing, Larsa?" Zane asked as his fist bumped with Larsa's fist.
"I'm doing good. Anyways, let's get going." Larsa requested.
As the six wizards walked through the island to head down underground, Selena and Katara talked to each other.
"Katara, where have you been?" Selena asked "I haven't seen you at the Guild Hall for a week."
"I told you, I've been here on Galuna Island." Katara answered.
"I don't think it's taken you a week to find out where the beast underground is located." Selena commented "That is something you could have found out in like…a day."
"Alright, I just needed some time away from my mother for a while." Katara confessed.
Katara had a stable relationship with her mother Cana and they would often enjoy doing activities and wizard jobs together. However, the only issue was that Katara was bothered by Cana's constant heavy drinking.
"Katara, please come back to the guild hall." Selena requested "Everyone there misses you, including your mother."
"I know, but I don't if I'm ready to go back just yet." Katara replied "Besides, I wish my mother could be there for me more."
"Don't worry…if you talk it out, surely, you'll feel much better when you get back home." Selena assured.
"I really hope you're right on that, Fullbuster." Katara commented.
After walking for a while, Zane, Leonardo, Selena, Rila, Katara, and Larsa finally made it to the underground passageway where they found the beast that was currently banging against the walls in frustration. The beast was tall enough to reach the ceiling above and once the beast saw them, it immediately ran towards them. They could suddenly feel the ground shake, but did their best to stay on their feet in order to commence their attack on it.
