Cedric was worried about his girlfriend and yet he didn't say anything about his worry because he knew Hermione wouldn't listen to anything he had to say. She should be resting, but instead of doing that, the Gryffindor bookworm had practically locked herself in the library as she tore through book after book trying to find the answers Dumbledore couldn't. The former Hufflepuff understood her wanting answers to what exactly had happened to her and if he was in her position then most likely he would be acting the same way. Since he was not in her position he had the right to worry about her, at least from his point of view. He was her boyfriend and the last thing he wanted to see was Hermione end up back in the hospital wing due to exhaustion. They would get the answers they were looking for eventually, but Hermione making herself ill because she wouldn't take a break was not going to be of any help.

"I knew it!" Cedric Diggory almost jumped out of his skin when Hermione jumped out of her seat with a huge smile on her face. "I cannot believe I didn't see it before. All the signs were right in front of me the whole time. I'm such an idiot."

"You found something? What did you find love? Should I go and speak with Dumbledore." He was on his feet in an instant looking over shoulder to see if he could gather anything from the book she had been reading."

"Why would you want to tell Dumbledore?" She questioned in confusion. "I doubt he would want to hear about who Ginny has been secretly dating."

Now it was her boyfriend who was confused. "Wait, what? You mean all this fuss is because you figured out Ginny's secret boyfriend? I thought you had found out something about whatever was done to you."

"Oh, no I still haven't found anything which would be relevant to our situation." She told him as a deep frown marred her face for a few brief moments before turning in to that bright smile once again. "Anyways, I figured it out while I was reading. I understand why Ginny didn't want to tell me or anyone else. She is dating Draco and if any of her brothers were to find out it wouldn't be a happy ending."

"Are you sure?" He questioned not quite believing what she was saying. "I mean it's Draco bloody Malfoy. Ginny is smarter than to fall for that prat isn't she? Just because she doesn't want to tell anyone who she is seeing doesn't mean it's him. She could be dating anyone really and perhaps she doesn't want her brothers to know because she doesn't want them to harass the guy and they would because they feel they should protect her since she is the youngest child and their only sister. What other proof do you have to back up this theory of yours?"

Hermione brushed a strand of hair from her face after she closed the book she had been reading; it had not been of any use and she doubted the last couple of pages had the answers they where looking for. "It's a lot of little things actually and when put together it is so obvious. She doesn't want anyone to know, she went to a Quiddich game which involved Slytherins and she never goes to those unless they are facing Gryffindor, she has been much to eager for potions class where Draco is assisting Snape during his free period, and lately she has been wearing more green and silver than I have ever seen where before. Oh, there is also the fact she hasn't hexed him for weeks and that is some kind of record for her."

The sandy haired wizard had to give her some credit even though he still couldn't believe someone like Ginny would be dating someone like Draco Malfoy. "I'll admit the evidence you bring to the table is questionable, but what makes you think it's Draco and not some other Slytherin?"

"Because now that I have had time to think about it, he hasn't been as rude to me as usual and if I am right about he and Ginny it makes perfect sense. He wouldn't want to upset her and by tormenting her best friend, well he would be hurting her. I realize you don't believe me, but I know I am right and while I am not his biggest fan, if Ginny really cares about him and if he feels the same for her, then I am happy for Ginny because she deserves to be happy." The female witch raised her eyes to lock with those belonging to her boyfriend. "You and I are perfect examples to the testament love works in the most mysterious of ways."

"I suppose you're right." Cedric conceded knowing that the love of his life was usually right and so she was probably right about this as well. "Are you going to tell her you know? I mean she cannot keep it a secret forever. I have to tell you that I am impressed you are accepting this so easily. I would have thought you would be a bit more vocal about this considering the history between you and ferret boy. I suppose I can't say that any longer can I?"

Hermione smirked slightly at the put out look on his face. "Well not to his face or when Ginny is around, but as long as they are not in sight or earshot then I don't see a problem. Trust me, playing nice with Draco Malfoy is not something I am looking forward and yet I will for Ginny because if our positions were switched I know she would do the same for me."

"Well that's not something you have to worry about; everybody around loves me." The smile he shot her way melted her heart just like it did every single time she saw it. "It's my natural charisma. Even you can't deny I have a charming personality."

"Yes I can." She teased gathering the books up in her arms so she could put them back. "As your girlfriend I can be brutally honest and you can't be upset about it. While at times you can be charming, most of the time you are just cocky and arrogant, but I don't hold that against you for two reasons; one being the fact you don't use those traits to act like you are better than others and the second reason being the fact I am madly in love with you and that includes all of your faults."

"I love you as well my little bookworm." He told her before pressing his lips to hers softly. "It's time for dinner so how about we go eat and then maybe we could spend some time alone without thoughts of Ginny or Malfoy tainting the moment."

Hermione nodded as a small blush took over her cheeks. She didn't think she would ever get used to him telling her he loved her. "I think that is the best idea you've had all day."
