(Your POV)

I was awoken by three knocks at the door. I separated from Liu, feeling heat rush to my face, realizing that I had slept in his arms all night. As I got up from the couch and walked over to the door, my mind jumped to Jeff and Harley. I stopped dead in my tracks and let the silence over come me. I peered out of the window, sighing in relief once I saw who was out there. It was Riley again. I opened the door and smiled at her.

"Riley," I breathed rubbing my tired and probably tired eyes, "what do you need?"

"Yo. I just came to warn you that Jeff was on his way." She said as she flipped her long, naturally red hair over her shoulder.

My breath caught in my throat and my chest seized up. Ever since I almost saw Jeff make out with Harley right before me, my heart drops at the sound of his name. Behind me, Liu groaned and shifted his weight on the couch.

"Thanks, Riley." I breathed, feeling light-headed.

I swayed a bit and Riley eyed me, "you feeling okay?" She asked questioning whether she should hold me or not.

I pressed my palm to my chest. Calm, I reminded myself. I gave Riley a small nod and she nodded back at me.

"Well," she paused, "with all the sincerity in the world, (y/n), good luck."

I smiled at Riley and I would've sworn I saw her blood-red lips curve up into a smile for a split second. I pulled her into a hug and when we separated, Riley gave a small curt nod and left me to my thoughts and the sound of Liu breathing. I shut the door and moved back, sitting next to Liu who was waking up.

"(Y/n)? Who was that?" He asked, his voice was tired and drawn out.

"It was Riley. She came to warn me that Je–" I coughed, "that he was coming."

Liu looked at me and laid a gentle hand on my shoulder. Concern and worry flooded over his handsome features, almost looking like Jeff for a split second. I felt tears spring up into my eyes and I looked away from him, blinking furiously so that the tears would go away. No more crying. No more.

Next to me, Liu sighed.

"I don't understand my brother," he said as I turned up to look at him, "how can he go and do something like that to someone as amazing as you? I can't get it through my head." He said sighing in frustration.

"I don't know either. I–"

Another knock.

I held my breath. Liu blinked, walking up to go answer the door. He opened it and I saw his body stiffen out of the corner of my eye. His lean yet muscled body tensed up and he had his fists clenched tightly at his sides.

"Brother." He hissed.

I dared not look up. Instead, I kept my eyes glued to the ground.

"Yo bro!" My breath became hitched at the sound of his voice, he sounded extremely happy for someone who made out with someone else behind their 'girlfriend.'

The thought infuriated me and I got up, stomping toward the door. I saw Jeff, his arm was around Harley who was smiling evilly up at me. I was taller than her, and she was way curvier than I was. I suppose she you could say she had a fuller figure than mine. She had high cheek bones and luscious lips. I think she was gorgeous. Looks that kill. I didn't know who to slap first, so I just swung and my palm connected with Jeff's cheek. He frowned and next to him Harley gasped. I shot her a glance that could cripple and she cowered back, hiding behind Jeff.

"What in the world is your problem!?" Jeff said frowning at me.

Seeing him angry at me killed me inside. But, no. I was the one that should be angry. I opened my mouth to say something when Liu, who was equally as angry if not more, interrupted me.

"What's her problem? Are you seriously asking that!? You show up with your arm slung around this-this harlot!- and you dare say that (y/n) has a problem?" Liu said getting up in Jeff's face.

"Harlot?" Harley gasped.

I nodded, "yes. Harlot. In case you didn't know, Jeff has– no had– a girlfriend, when you so casually decided to make out with him!" I said pushing Harley back.

She tumbled back and nearly fell backwards. I glanced up at Jeff and he had a surprised look on his face.

"You-you saw that?" He asked dumb founded.

"Oh yes, she did my dear friend." Riley's voice rose up from behind me.

"Riley," I said relieved to see her again.

Jeff glanced between me, Harley, and Riley. His normally strong, comforting eyes, now looked beady and nervous. I couldn't help but laugh. Liu wrapped his arm around my shoulder and Jeff growled at him.

"Get your hands off of her." He hissed at Liu.

"Why?" Liu commanded, "you have Harlot over there."

"My name is not, Harlot." Harley groaned rolling her eyes.

"Oh? And so what was your name, darling? Was it Basic? No, nevermind, I think it was Skank." Riley said with a sneer.

Harley opened her mouth in protest when the ground began to rumble. Liu stood in front of me as if to protect me and Riley backed up to stand next to me. I gasped as the ground split open, revealing Hades' kingdom. My breath caught in my throat and I thought: Great. Just what I needed.

"Zalgo." I hissed.

"Well, well, well. Nothing warms a heart more than a family reunion, right boys? I just came to warn you that the last battle is starting. (Y/n) and I, head to head. You and me, (y/n). I'll take you out once and for all." Zalgo said.

"I put you in the Underworld once, Zalgo," I roared at him, "I can do it again."

"Oh but you won't have that now, dearie. Now, you will face my true form. Not this meager, useless form of mine. Until then, (y/n)." Zalgo said fading into the ground.

I exhaled sharply and glanced around wildly. Fear coursed through my veins, making every nerve come alive. From the trees, Slender emerged with the others.

"Slender!" I called running over there.

~30 minutes later~

"The only way to defeat Zalgo in his true form is to summon Gaea and Hades into your body." Slender said.

I sighed in relief, "easy right? That's not that hard."

"But like all things," Slender interjected, "it comes with a price. A heavy one at that."

"What is it?" Jeff asked automatically. Harley shot him an icy glare, but he kept his gaze even with Slender's.

"The power of the Gods is much to divine for a human body. Should (y/n) try to make them come into her body, the power will be too divine it might kill her." Slender said, pausing before he said 'kill.'

"No. I forbid it." Jeff said crossing his arms across his chest.

On either side of me, Riley and Liu snorted.

"Like you have a choice what she does," Liu said, though he sounded more said than snarky.

"I'm not letting you walk into a death trap, (y/n)." Jeff said looking at me.

"Guys? Guys? What about me?" Harley asked twirling her long blonde locks around her fingers.

"Darling, no one cares about you. Why are you still here?" Riley asked, and with a snap of her manicured fingers, Harley was gone.

"Okay. Back to the matter," I said rubbing my forehead in frustration, "and, there's no way around death?" I asked, seeing my life flash before me.

"Well, you're soul might be strong enough. But if it's not, Gaea and Hades will just find another vessel and you'll be left to die." Slender said.

I sighed, "if there's no way around it."

"No! I won't let you die!" Jeff protested.

"And I won't let anyone else die!" I shot back.

Jeff huffed out in anger and got up and stomped out of the room. I felt heat rush to my face out of anger, and shook a little when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I glanced up and looked at Liu.

"You better go talk to him." I nodded.

~Jeff's room~

"Jeff." I said opening his door.

He sat on the edge of his bed, his arms folded across his chest.

"I don't want you to die, (y/n). What I did with Harley was a mistake. I need you. I love YOU." He said, making me gasp and making my knees buckle.

"Do you think I want to die? I don't have a death wish, Jeff." I said sitting next to him.

"I know but..."

"But nothing. I have to do this, Jeff." I said, in a 'that's final,' tone.

"I can't live without you. Without you by my side, I'll be miserable at best." Jeff said cupping my face in his hands and leaning down to kiss me.

I kissed him back, feeling tears flow down my cheeks in steady streams.

"I can't believe this is where it ends." I said once we separated.

"I know. I can't live without you. You complete me."

"Don't worry. I'll come back to you. And if I don't, Gaea and Hades will descend into someone else and you can love her." I said with a hopeful smile.

Jeff smiled sadly at me and shook his head, "no, I can't love her. Because she won't be you."

"Oh, Jeff. I–"

"We need to start training. To make them come into your soul." Slender said interrupting our moment.

I nodded and gave him sad smile.

As I made my way out, I reminded myself that it was for a good cause. My fate was sealed.

And there is absolutely NO way out of this one.
