Reviews are like happiness in a school day for us (literally) seriously tomorrow we end exams
I had entered to the cooking classroom, when my stomach let out a loud growl, I heard Francis laughing behind me, something that it oddly sounded like "honhonhon"
"I'm guessing mon petit Mathieu skipped lunch" Francis said giving a wink "What would you like to cook?"
"Is it really okay if I choose?" I said, mentally taking note of what I liked to eat when I was alive
"Of course it is! After all, this class is always empty" Francis said while twirling and opening his arms to make emphasis on 'empty'
I stayed quiet; I remember that I loved something that is round, fluffy, sweet, warm with a hint of something liquid and a bit sticky….
"Those are pancakes" Francis said honing (?) slightly. (A/N: If it were a verb I would conjugate it like that) I blushed slightly at my fantasizing out loud "I would like some, please"
We began taking out the ingredients and as I was taking out the eggs, the door slammed open effectively throwing the eggs at me and hitting me.
"Mathieu! Be more careful Arthur!" Francis said while helping me stand up and giving me a towel to clean myself, uggh sticky…
"Sorry lad" he said looking apologetic and scratching the back of his head
"Hey Arthur, who's your shadow?" Francis said pointing at a girl with wavy hair and glasses, I think Liz was her name
Arthur turned and let out a small (manly) shriek "What the bloody hell are you doing here"
"I've been following you for a while, I asked you where the cooking class was" She sighed and began playing with her cellphone (I need to ask her where did she got that)
"You didn't… I think I would have remembered that… twit" Arthur said making a thinking pose
"Whatever floats on your boat" She entered the classroom and stood beside me
Arthur's cheeks got a rosy color and he humped "Francis I came to tell you that you shouldn't force him"
Francis looked taken aback "I know, I don't want him to explode!"
Liz looked at me weirdly like asking 'What are they talking about?' I just shook my head and shrugged; she seemed to accept my answer and turned back at the door, just in time to see Arthur leaving
Francis turned and smiled widely "Welcome to cooking class!" and he began to rant about how this class was unappreciated, at some point Liz took out a small apple juice (1) and began drinking it.
"Where did you got that?" I said in a hushed tone
"At a small food dispenser near my room" Liz looked at me and kept sipping her drink "Would you like some candy?" She took out various brands of candy, most of them being chewable.
"You really like candy…" I muttered amazed and took some maple flavored sweets
"Not that much, they keep me awake at class" She began chewing a fruittaffy and pointed at the clock "It's almost over"
I looked at Francis, he now appeared to be dancing and gesticulating around the room
My stomach growled again and Liz turned towards me laughing slightly "Hungry?"
I flushed and she took out a small cereal box from her bag "Here, it should keep your hunger at bay for around one class, and then we are free until 5"
I thanked her silently as the bell rang and she left.
Francis stopped his rambling and looked around "Is class done?" he asked confused
"Yes it is, now I have to go to 'Creatures'" I said taking out my schedule "Do you know where is this class located?"
"I know that it's on the first floor…" Francis said trailing off in thought
"Thanks" I left and ran down all the flights of stairs while eating the cereal, I need to learn how to fly soon…
Finally arriving at the first floor, I was blinded by pastel bright colors.
"Hello cupcake~" Oliver stood before me, a wide smile plastered on his face, is he always like that?
"Bonjour Oliver, by any chance do you know were 'Creatures' is?" I asked politely, I feel uneasy around Oliver…I wonder why…
"Cher~ would you like one?~" a sickly sweet voice said
"Sure Mamman" A slightly high-pitched young voice answered "They taste weird… what is it made off?"
"With Bread and inside Lamb, Olives, Orange juice and Dab, sweetie~"
"It tastes funny…" The young voice replied "What's this recipe called?"
"It's my own version of 'Nopal en su madre'(2)" The voice said way too sweetly with a hint of deviousness.
"Mathiew, lad, you're going to be late" Oliver said pulling me out of my thoughts
"Oh yeah, right" I said and quickly ran through the hallway, wait, I don't know where I'm going…
"Maple, where am I supposed to go?" I said to no one in particular when suddenly I crashed into an open door, what's up with the doors hitting me?
"Oh sorry, I didn't see you there" A man with red/orange eyes, light brown hair, a small hat with a red and white ribbon and a small fang poking out of his mouth said.
"It's alright" I said rubbing my forehead "By the way, do you know where 'Creatures' class is held?"
"You got hit by luck" The man said hiding a smile "It's this one, come in" he motioned inside "I'm Vlad by the way"
I entered and saw some familiar faces, Ravis, Ivan, Daniel, Lieng, Heracles, Lily, Leon and Lukas.
I went to seat between Raivis and Daniel, who were talking about something that sounded like shotgun and bazooka (3) on English.
The class was pretty much normal, we learned about an animal if you could call it like that that looks like a white gecko with astonishing cerulean diamond eyes and has the tail similar to the minish (4), it's as big as a rabbit but a very pacific creature, and its name is Zwshkil.
Finally the bell rang signaling our break, I stood up and my stomach began growling again "Well at least the cereal lasted long enough, I walked towards the cafeteria and ordered some pancakes while admiring the view, the cafeteria was huge, the bad thing about it was that all is white, heaven could use some colors…
I got my pancakes and felt a slight tug on my robe; I looked down and saw Raivis smiling at me holding his own food "Let's sit together"
I followed him outside until we reached a huge oak tree, under the tree there was some of the people I knew from my other classes chatting happily.
As we got close to the group they waved at us. "Matvey, glad you can join us this time" said Ivan with a childlike smile, around him there were people from my other classes, which are: Feliks, Daniel, Diana, Tino, Oliver, Liz, Berwald, Emil and Leon.
"We were talking about our deaths" Tino said cheerfully "It's now Daniel's turn"
Daniel looked around nervously before saying "Well… Diana, Liz and I kinda died together" he rubbed the back of his neck
"How can you do that?" I said shocked
"Well we were playing with pyrotechnia and Daniel wasn't careful with the fireworks, he turned one but he was too close so he got burned, the rocket didn't went up like it was meant to, it went sideways so it hit Diana square on the chest making her bleed, I ran over to her forgetting the fact that I had Palomas (5) on my pockets, when I reached her one of them caught in fire making the other ones explode" Liz finished the story and went back to sipping her juice. What the heaven? Is that even a legal way to die?
"Tino, it's your turn" Ivan said dismissing the 'normal' death we've just heard
"I don't really remember how I died…." Tino said quietly "I just remember that it was from a high place" he looked around and pointed Oliver "Hey, would you tell us how you died?"
Oliver looked nervous for a second but then quickly smirked, so thought that the nervous phase was my imagination and dismissed it "You don't really need to know, it's none of your concern" he snapped and hi was hit on the head by Arthur.
"Hello, I came here for Daniel, Mathiew, Emil, Feliks, Tino and …. And… the girl right there" He pointed towards Liz
"Liz" she sighed as she stood up and walked towards him
"Well, follow me" Arthur said ignoring somehow Liz's remark
As we followed Arthur I got curious on why the teachers seem to ignore Liz "Hey Liz" I said quietly
"What?" she kept looking around
"Why do teachers don't seem to see you?" I hope she doesn't take it the wrong way
"I don't know, only adults do that… when I was alive I tried to get my teacher's attention to ask him something, he didn't seem to hear me so I began to sing 'WMCA' and dancing it, the students around me looked at me like 'WTF?' and the teacher didn't notice, I gave up and sat back down, a friend next to me whispered something and the teacher snapped at him (6)" She said before we stopped in front of a huge bronze gate
"Here we are, the animal's heaven" Arthur said plainly, he fumbled with something on his robe and took out multiple keys; he gave them to us (not missing Liz's) "You may come on your free time, the keys will open your pets' gate, now you may go"
Daniel, Feliks and Liz rushed inside, I walked calmly looking for my gate, my key had red maple leaf on the top and a little swirl came down from it wrapping itself over the key, I kept walking until I found a gate similar to my key, inserting the key and giving it a few twists, I opened the gate.
Inside there was what one would call a magical winter wonderland, filled with snow that glinted just right, many pine trees dispersed, on the middle a huge yet frozen pond and in front of me a full sized polar bear was looking at me, it tilted it head and let out a small "who?"
"KUMAAAAA!" I ran and hugged the bear "I'm so happy that you are here, well I shouldn't be so happy since we both are dead…" I trailed of, Kuma just licked me on the cheek
"I know, let's play catch" I crouched and made a snowball, I threw it and kuma ran for it, when it fell on the snow, Kuma began digging looking for it. I giggled at the sight "Kuma, it's not going to be there anymore"
Kuma just poked his head out of the snow, tilted it and answered with a "who?"
"Nothing Kuma" I smiled and went to pet him, a small bell rang and I turned towards a clock that wasn't there before, I'm serious it wasn't there before…creepy
"I got to go Kuma, it's 5 pm" I scratched the back of his ear "I'll come back later"
I got up and went to the door, as I exited I found Daniel dragging out Liz of her own gate.
"But I don't want to goooooo!" Liz gripped the gate harder
"We are going to be late" Daniel tugged harder, I took a sneak peak at her gate and the sight amazed me, not the fact that it was all green and the grass looked so soft and it was full of life and trees, it was the fact that she had an army of guinea pigs, not ten or fifteen, no, there were some dogs and ducks… and a pig.
"My kids need meeeee" Daniel finally pried off Liz of the fence and dragged her to the exit.
I left behind them to get to 'Skill' class, which god knows where this is located "Hey Daniel" He turned
"What?" He said, by now Liz was already walking with a pout on her face.
"I was wondering if you knew were skill class is" I said and got closer
"No lo recuerdo… Liz, tu sabes?" He looked towards Liz, and I couldn't catch what they were talking about
"Yes" She turned towards me "Actually we are going there, if you wanna come" and so we kept walking
We got to a huge field of various kinds of terrain and a blonde man with green eyes and a small white hat wearing a frown welcomed us.
"Welcome, I'm Vash and I'm going to be your teacher, now state your names in the order I point you" He said with a serious voice
"Gupta" "Lukas" "Daniel" "Raivis" "Liz" "Ivan" "Diana" "Mathiew" "Leon" "Emil" We said in that order
"Okay, since this is your first skill class, I'm going to teach you a little bit of everything, you know your skill when it comes naturally to you" He said and proceeded to give us some indications on fighting, after some demonstrations he paired us up. "Leon and Gupta" "Raivis and Diana" "Ivan and Mathiew" "Lukas and Emil" "Liz and Daniel"
"Nooo, please, no" Liz suddenly shouted, startling Vash
"Is something wrong with that?" He snapped at her
"Yes, I already had to put up with him when I was alive, no when I am dead too?" She replied, it looked king of funny because she had to look up at Vash.
"Get over it" Vash said and left
After fighting our class ended and I had to get to Kind class, which was inside the garden and an Asiatic looking woman was sitting on a bench waiting patiently.
"Hello, I'm Xiao Mei your Kind teacher, since it's your first day I'll just tell you what each angel kind is supposed to do" She smiled and took out a parchment
"Seraphs: they are the most close to the creator; they also regulate the movement of heavens and possess 3 pairs of wings.
Cherubs: Guardians of the light and the have 2 pairs of wings.
Ophanim: They administrate and know the actions of men, sometimes when the creator is lazy they carry him around
Dominions: They make sure the universe is in order and take orders from the other three and the creator
Virtues: They inspire humanity and take care of them
Powers: Some of them are angels of death and life, they also fight demons if it's needed for the sake of humans or angels
Principalities: Guardians of nations and countries
Archangels: They carry on tasks
Angels: Messengers" she finished "questions?"
Emil raised his hand "Yes, Why do angels take care of humans, what do they gain?"
Mei pursed her lips "We need them, since they believe in us it gives us a plus"
Liz then said "What happens if all humans die?"
"Well heaven overcrowds and also hell, right now there are too many" Mei said and stood up "Well this was today's class see you tomorrow" and left
I stood up and went back to the gate were Kuma was "Hello buddy, I have free time" I scratched the back of his ear and sat down, Kuma rested his head on my lap and sighed contently as I continued to pet him "I hope tomorrow I don't crashland"
I stayed a while with Kuma and around 8 I left for the cafeteria.
"Mathiew, over here!" Raivis waved his arms and the same group I had break with was sitting there except for the Hispanic trio.
I sat down just in time to see the trio come with something that reassembled tacos "Are those tacos?"
"Yes, son Chingones, the best food ever" Daniel said and quickly dug on into his
"Aren't they supposed to have ground meat, and used tortilla chips?" I said quite confused, the table matched my expression except for the Hispanic trio, they looked shocked one almost fainted! Did I say something wrong?
"What are the tacos you are talking about?" Diana said leaving her taco on a plate
"Oh god!, All of you have never tasted real Mexican tacos?" Liz said on the verge of fainting
The entire table including me shook our heads
"They need to try one" The trio began whispering to themselves and then looked at us, it made me sweat drop.
Oh, what have I gotten myself into?
(=A=) (Sorry! For the lack of updates on this story and on Maple leafs shall rise, It's just that we -Diana and I- have been stuck with many school stuff -Evil school-)
(1)- I always carry an apple juice to school, even dead.
(2)- 'Nopal en su madre'= It's a Mexican dish which consists of filling a big part of a nopal (penca) with finely cut nopales along with other vegetables. The penca is sewed shut and grilled, you open it and eat the nopales inside.
Practically it's called like that since the nopales come from pencas
(3)- Escopabazooka de fuego que cocina tacos: It's a weapon my friend said it should exist which basically consists of a shotgun, a bazooka and a flamethrower mixed together and that also can make tacos.
(4)- Legend of Zelda Minish cap
(5)- Palomas-= they are triangles filled with gunpowder; you turn them on and throw them to scare someone with the noice.
