~Squall and Valentina's dates begin~
Vi-Vi's POV
After Cloud and Kimberly were together, I was really happy for them. It was only about 2-3 days but they've been calling and each other a lot. I thought they were the mushest couple right there. As I was walking home with Kim-Kim, I felt my phone vibrate so I took it out and saw a message from some random number.
It read 'Hey.' I replied with 'Oh hi! Do I know you?' The person who sent that message texted back really fast. 'I'm Squall's best bud! He wants to ask you on a date.' I stared and felt my face heat up. 'Squall wants to go on a date with me?' I thought to myself before the phone vibrated again which made me come back to my senses. 'Hey, sorry about that. My friend just wanted to see what your reaction was. –Squall' I stared at the message before getting a phone-call from Squall himself. I picked it up and answered "Hello?" "Hey Val. Sorry about what my friend said. He didn't mean- HE WANTS TO ASK YOU OUT!" screamed Squall's friend from the background. There was silence.
"Is this true?" I asked with little hope building up. Squall sighed before answering "Yes. Do you have time today? I'll pick you up at 8 today." Inside my head, I was screaming in complete joy. "So?" He asked and I came back to my senses once again. "Yes I would love to go." I said trying to keep my normal face intact. "Alright then. I'll pick you up tonight." Squall said. Squall and I said our good-byes before ending the call. I put my phone back in my pocket and turned to see Kimberly smiling at me. I told her what Squall said and what his friend sent to me. Kimberly screamed in delight and hugged me. "We're not going out just yet you know." She smiled and said "I know but… You will be soon." I rolled my eyes and decided to keep walking to the bus while Kimberly was teasing me on the way.
~~~~~~~~~~Time skip to home at 4:50~~~~~~~
As soon as we got Kimberly's house, Kimberly went upstairs and grabbed her make-up box. (She hardly ever EVER wears make-up besides like moisturizers, little sun-screen that got mixed with color of foundation, and some lip-gloss, chap-sticks, and that's about it really. Oh! And some brightening and like whitening. I'm sure you get the point.) She got it out and dug through the box and got a small travel size bottle of liquid and lotion. "What's that?" I asked curiously.
She just smiled and told me to go wash my face thoroughly so I went upstairs and did as she told me. She said to make sure to take some time so she can apply refiner and emulsion. "Do you have dry, oily, or sensitive skin?!" Kimberly yelled as I was drying my face. "Dry!" I yelled back. As soon as I got down, Kimberly was wearing gloves and getting the little travel size bottles out.
"This is a moisturizer. If you have dry skin, you use stuff like this and it works so well! One use and you can feel the difference already. You only use it a few times a week though. Also since today is your first date with Squall, we got to make you more beautiful and stunning!" Kimberly said gleefully. I stared but didn't bother asking as she started applying the liquid first. After that, she started applying emulsion and a few minutes later, she finished completely.
"How do you feel?" She asked as she put the things away. "A new me… I feel so clean and… Healthy." I said amazed. "Told you it would work." Kimberly said as she went upstairs to grab some outfits and dresses for the date. When she came back down, she wasn't alone. There was Kristen, Tifa, Aerith, and Yuffie! I stared wide-eyes and kept gapping at them. Kimberly smiled and said that they were home the whole time. (She went a text to them letting them know that Squall is going on a date with me.)
"Oh whatever but where's Amber?" I asked. Kristen said that Amber had to move back to the U.S with her other family and go to college there. She also said that Amber will come back as soon as possible when something important happens. She'll even come back during the summer to celebrate with the rest of the group like the usual times. "Let's put that aside now and get Vi-Vi ready for her date." Everyone nodded in agreement as they all began preparations for my date. 'This is going to take a while.' I said to myself before letting them do all the work.
~~~~~~~~Time skip to 7:50~~~~~~~~~~
"Oh my gosh! You look so stunning!" Tifa said gleefully as she handed me a mirror. I gasped at myself because my hair was slightly up with some were braided with red ribbons tied. I wore a pink neck button up blouse, along with black leggings and black skirt with gray and white glitter poka-dots. "You guys made me look so… Girly!" I said the last part loudly.
"That's the whole point!" Yuffie said as she was walking to the closet to get my leather coat. As we were talking, the doorbell rang and Kimberly looked out the window and said it was Squall! I wanted to hide but Kristen and Tifa made sure I didn't move from my spot. "Hey Squall! Come on in!" Kimberly said as Squall came inside. "Hi. I'm here to put up Val." He said. He was wearing a nice black tuxedo and his hair is just the way it normally is.
"Yeah we know that already." Tifa said as she smiled. "Okay I'm ready." I said as I walked to the door where Squall was standing. "Let's go then." Squall said as he held out his arm for me to wrap mine around his. I can hear the group trying hard not to tease me but I ignored it. "Have fun you two! Don't stay out too late either!" Kristen yelled as we left. I blushed and I can tell Squall did too but didn't really want to show it. He opened the door for me and when I got in, he closed it and went to the driver's seat. I put on my seat belt and noticed flowers were beside me. "These are for you." As he handed me a dozen of flowers.
"Oh… Thank you Squall." I said as I smiled to myself because Squall was so thoughtful and sweet. "Where are we going?" I asked. He smiled and said "You'll see." I wondered where but decided not to ask as Squall started driving.
~~~~~~~~~Time skip to the restaurant~~~~~~~~
As I got out of the car, I realized Squally brought me to a expensive restaurant. "Why are we eating here?" I asked. "This place is Macaroni Grill. I just thought it would be nice to be here on our first date." He said as he put his arm out again and I happily applied while we went in. He opened the door for me like a gentlemen and when we both were in, a waiter said "This way place." As we both followed, I realized that the table was reserved already with lit candles.
"Did you-?" As I began my question but Squall knew and answered before I could finish. "Yes, I already set up everything for tonight." I smiled and Squall pulled the chair back waiting for me to sit down. I did and he pushed the chair in a bit than went to sit in his chair. "Hi. My name is Jason. Here are the menus. Please choose what you like, and I'll be right back." As the waiter left. I looked at the menu and saw that the stuff was quite expensive but Squall said that money wasn't a problem so I just bought choose something that I should try for a change.
The waiter came back and asked what we would like today. We told the waiter and he told us it'll take a few minutes. Squall and I didn't talk but just stared at each other instead. No later did the waiter come back with a food tray. He placed the food down in front of me then in front of Squall. We talked about random things while eating. After I was eating half my plate, Squall said he needed to go. I told him alright and I just ate silently by myself for a bit.
I was just planning to wait for Squall but some guy sat in his seat with a huge grin on his face. "Hello beautiful." He said. I just stared but decided to be nice to greet him. "Hi." He kept looking at me and made me feel slightly uncomfortable. "What is a pretty girl like you sitting all alone?" He asked. "I'm not. I'm just waiting for my…" I didn't know what to call Squall. My friend, or crush? "Hmm… if he's your friend, I doubt he would ever bring you here. More like he's your boyfriend I bet." He said.
"What?! He's not my boyfriend!" I said while blushing. "Oh really? How about you follow me then? I bet I can make your day so much better~." He said the last part with a purr which made me sick. A shadow loomed over us and I looked up to see Squall staring dangerously at the guy. "Hello. This is my seat. Leave." Squall said more as a command. "Okay I will but I'm going to take this girl with me." The man said while trying to take me away but Squall held me back. "No. You can stay here while we go." Squall said while he took my hand and dragged me away. He took out his wallet and paid Jason his tip while paying the food.
He dragged me away but as soon as we got away from the restaurant, he pushed me up against a wall, and put both his arms near my head to block me from escaping for some reason. "Don't you ever flirt with any guy again or I'll have to punish you." Squall said in dangerous but lurking voice while smirking. My first thought: I wasn't flirting even flirting with him! "Squall… Did you know what you just said?" I blurted out from embarrassment. Squall stared before he started blushing too. He pulled away and was trying to hide his blush but it seemed to have gotten to the tips of his ears so not much luck.
After a few seconds of silence which I thought was completely awkward, Squall asked "Want to go to the park?" I nodded and didn't want to say anything as I still felt myself blush from what he said. It was going on my mind and didn't know what to do but feel completely embarrassed about it the whole drive to the park. As we reached there, Squall opened the door for me again and we were walking for a bit before sitting down on a bench. There was still silence until we heard Cloud and Kimberly holding hands walking towards us.
"Oh look! It's Vi-Vi and Squall!" Kimberly said gleefully as he pulled on Cloud's hand to make him walk faster. "Hey you two. What are you up to right now?" She asked. "Nothing much I guess." I replied and looked shyly over to Squall. Kimberly smiled and asked "Can I borrow Val for a bit Squall?" Squall nodded in response and I was dragged away from the two guys who are now staring and seem to completely understand each other until I couldn't see them anymore.
Kim-Kim looked around to make sure no one is around and that Squall isn't in hearing range. "Did he ask you out yet?" She asked. I shook my head but explained the story to her what happened. After I finished, she jumped in delight and hugged me. "What? I don't see what's the big deal." I said. Kimberly just had that huge smile on her face. "Oh, you'll see Vi-Vi. You'll see." I stared before we started walking back to Squall and Cloud.
I don't know what Cloud said or what he said with his eyes but for some reason, Squall's face was having different shades of red on his face. "Cloud, I believe we should go and leave those two together." Kimberly said as she held onto Cloud's arm and he smiled with a small blush allowing her hold onto him. They started walking off and I can tell that Kimberly was telling Cloud what she said to me and what Cloud said to Squall. Squall and I just stared before looking at each other while blushing.
"So… Did Cloud say anything to you?" I asked suddenly. "Certain things." Squall said in a low voice while looking down embarrassed. He sighed before getting up and holding my hand up to his chest. I blushed furiously and tried to pull away but he held a firmer grip. I looked up and couldn't see what emotions were going through his eyes. "Valentina… I really don't know how to say this but… I have fallen in love with you." He said while looking straight at my eyes. "When I first met you, I knew you were something special. I finally know how special you are to me." I grabbed Squall's face into my hands and kissed him.
His eyes widened but he relaxed and kissed back. We finally broke apart and stared straight into each other eyes. "I love you too." I said blushing furiously by my action but I always wanted to kiss him. He held me tightly and I held him back. "I thought this would never come true. I thought it was just a dream…" Squall said but I let go and made him look at me. "I've wanted to confess but I never had enough courage." I said while still holding Squall's hand.
"Let's go?" He asked smiling. I nodded and we held hands all the way to the car. My heart was beating so fast and Squall held my hand while driving. "Squall, if you don't let go and drive with both hands, we're going to crash." I said to him but I love the warmth he's giving me. "It's fine. I use to drive with one hand anyways." He said while still holding my hand. I stared and decided not to ask but laugh.
We got back to Kimberly's house and Squall opened the door for me like a gentleman he is. He walked me up to the door before taking my hand and kissed it. I blushed badly and looked away hoping he wouldn't notice but of course, everyone notices when you blush! "Well… I'll call you tomorrow then okay? Good night Val. Smile and… I love you." Squall said and kissed my forehead. "Yes…Good night Leon. I love you too." As I stood on my toes and kissed him on the cheek.
He waited for me to go inside before driving off. When I got home, I didn't think that Kristen would jump at me and hugged all the air out of me. "K-K, you're going to make her run out of breathe." Kimberly said as she came downstairs. Obviously though, she can see me smile completely. Kimberly and Tifa dragged me to the sofa and made me sit. I knew what was coming but I couldn't help but laugh anyways because it's always enjoyable no matter what.
