After I left the café, I called Cloud to meet me at the park. I want to get away from those people but it wasn't easy. 'Should I tell Cloud? He'll be upset knowing that I rejected him just to meet Genesis and Septhiroth.' I sighed and sat at the bench around the park. I clenched my fists in anger. 'Why didn't I just punch them in the face?! Ugh, I feel stupid!' I said in my mind.
"Excuse me but do you know where this place is?" I shook my thoughts away and turned to look at this person. It was a woman's voice of course. "Let me see." She handed me the paper and I read it. I blinked a few times just so I know I'm not imagining things. "This is Squall's address…" I murmured in disbelief. "Yes I'm Riona," She began. "I came to visit him since I finally finished my paperwork to get a nice vacation."
I was going to say something to her but I didn't as Cloud ran up to us panting. "Sorry... I'm late." Riona turned. "I see you have a date. Well… I'll look for it myself. Bye." She left before I can even open my mouth. "Who was that?" Cloud asked as he sat next to me. "I don't know. I believe she's Squall's friend as I can see for now." Cloud nodded. "What's bothering you?" I stared at him obviously confused. "I know you lied to me. You went to meet Genesis." I felt my heart stopped for a moment while my eyes went in to terror.
"Cloud… I didn't mean to…" Cloud didn't look at me. "If you didn't, than why did you? Do you like him?" He asked in a low but cold voice. "What are you saying? I don't like him! How did you know this anyways?" I asked in pain. "Reno saw you walking in that café and asked the cashier where you went. She said VIP room and he told me after." I sighed in defeat. "Yes. I lied but he seemed threatening Cloud…" He stared and asked "What?" I looked straight into his eyes but they were empty like the first time we met.
I took out my phone and shoed the texts Genesis sent me. Cloud took my phone and read it. A minute or two passed before he spoke. "That's why…" I nodded than a thought came in my mind about the conversation. "Sephiroth was there…" Cloud nodded and I knew that he wanted me to continue. "He told me to break up with you and said that you were a royal." I waited for Cloud to tell me that was lie and that I shouldn't believe him.
He didn't say a word. "You… Want to break up?" He asked in a low voice but it held pain. I shook my head and took his hand in both of mine. "I don't but why did you hide this matter? Why would I break up with you?" I asked in a hurt voice. He sighed "I just don't think I'm good enough for you and I want to be treated like a normal person. Not a prince." I sighed. "Cloud…" I made him turn to face me while still holding his hand. "It doesn't matter if you're a royal. What matters is that you are being you. I love you for who you are. Not how you look or what your status is. Even if you weren't a prince, you are my prince in my eyes already."
Cloud stared at me speechlessly as I let go of his hand and said "Though if you are engaged, than I shall leave." Even though I don't want to be away from him. Cloud seemed to snap out of his thoughts and shook his head. "No. I never want to be away from you. Even if I was engaged, I rejected all of them." He took my hand in his. "I'm sorry." A tear fell from my face as he embraced me. "I love you…" I murmured on his shoulder. "I love you too." He replied as held me in his strong arms. I wished this moment never ends.

I was lying in bed wondering what to do. I would've call Squall but didn't know if he's busy or not. So I decided not to. "I'll just do it anyways…" I got her phone and called Squall. I waited for a while but no one answered. I frowned and hung up. 'I'll just go to his house.' I got out of her bed and went to Squall's house.
I locked the house before walking to Squall's house. I kept walking and walking and wondering what Kimberly was doing so I texted her. I waited for a reply and got one. 'I'm with Cloud right now. Btw, some girl was looking for Squall earlier. I didn't tell her where he was but… She said that she came to visit Squall.' Valentina stared at the text message before texting back this: 'Do you know her name?'
got an instant reply. 'Her name is Riona. I'm not sure what relationship she has with him but… Just be careful okay?' I sighed and replied. 'I know that.' After that, we stopped texting. I kept walking to Squall's house until I reached his door. I started pressing the doorbell. Five minutes passed and no one opened the door. I rung it again and finally the door opened. "Hey Reno. Is Squall home?" He yawned but nodded. "Yeah but I was having a good dream but you woke me up." I laughed. "My bad."
"Well since you're here, come on in. He's taking a shower." Reno let you in and you went upstairs to Squall's room. I waited in his room to surprise him but I got bored so I started looking through his stuff. I went to his room many times but he never lets me touch his stuff so now that he's not here, I might as well take advantage. I went through some of his drawers and saw a box. I took out the box and opened it. It was filled with notes, cards, pictures, and some other things.
I took out the cards and read them. One of them read: 'Dear Squall, thank you for supporting me all this time. I love you.' I stared and read another one. 'Squall, I know we are still young but I really hope we have a future together, love Riona.' I put the cards aside and took out his notes. "These notes are from his high school time… Squall and Riona were dating...?" I said to myself hurt. I looked at the other items in box and stared sadly at it.
No later did Squall come into the room. "Val, I didn't think you would be here." He smiled but it faded as soon as he saw I was looking through his stuff. "Why did you go through my stuff?" He asked in a low voice. "Many reasons… I guess you told Riona to come back as well…" I said in a very low voice. Squall stared at me but I didn't look at him in the eye. "How did you know about Riona?" He asked slightly surprised.
"Kimberly told me… She said that Riona was looking for you..." I replied in a sad voice still not looking in his eyes. For a few minutes, there was silence. Just complete silence and that angered me. "Why aren't you saying anything?" I got up and looked at him but he said nothing. His eyes were something I couldn't read and I didn't understand what he's even thinking about. "Well? Do you still like her? Am I just something you wanted to kill time with till she came back?! Is that it?!" I asked loudly and felt tears running down my face. I couldn't help it. I felt so hurt and damaged.
He shook his head and grabbed both of my arms. "No… Never. I never thought of it like that." He sighed. "It's true that I did want her to come back until I met you. I never intended to use or hurt you. I promise this." I shook my head and was crying even more. "You're lying… You're lying to me…That's why you didn't want me to go through your stuff…" I pushed Squall away. "No! I'm not lying. Please believe me Val. I don't feel the same about her. I just didn't want you to be hurt…" He got closer and tried to touch my face but I smacked his hand away. I got up closer to him and slapped him. His head snapped to the side and he put a hand on his cheek. My hand was throbbing slightly for hitting him so hard.
I wanted to say something but I couldn't. Instead, I ran out of Squall's room and he was calling to me. "Valentina! Don't go! Val, wait!" Squall kept calling to me as I headed downstairs. I felt more than a few presences there but I didn't dare. Though, I knew one person who was there for sure. Kimberly. She was there staring at me in shock. I didn't care and left. I never felt so hurt in myself but… That didn't stop me. Was all of it a lie?
A/N: Valentina, this is for you girl! I finally finished it since I had free time and now working on trying to get it down.
