When they tried to get into the funeral services, they apparently were not allowed to set foot into the sanctuary. The pastor had been an Animal who, at first, wouldn't let Glinda, Elphaba, Nessarose, Boq, and Fiyero into the funeral service. He had explained that it was Animals only even after Elphaba spoke up and explained that they had once been students of his at Shiz University a few years back. She continued to explain how she and Fiyero had been Animal rights activists and how Glinda had actually been the one to force the Wizard to let them be free. Furthermore, she even tried to use Nessa's status of Governess of Munchkinland to get them inside. The Bear had refused, turning them away. "At least just let her in," Elphaba said, gesturing to Glinda. "He treated her like a daughter." But the Bear hadn't listened, shaking his head.

"I just wanted to say goodbye," Glinda cried, gravitating towards Nessarose out of habit.

"Listen," Fiyero said, grabbing the Bear's sleeve when he saw how devastated his ex-girlfriend was. "At least let Glinda in; Dr. Dillamond literally left everything to her- his money, his things, and whatever else there is. Dr. Dillamond would want her there. Look, Elphaba and I fought for Animal rights for years, and Glinda was the one who basically gave you your rights back," Fiyero repeated what Elphaba had said.

"Just let her in," Elphaba repeated. Nessarose had given Boq her purse, which he was furiously looking through as she held Glinda. Finally, Boq found the note Dr. Dillamond had sent Glinda before he took his life.

"I think I have enough proof as to why you should let us, if not, her in," Boq presented the note.

"Let me see," the Bear rolled his eyes, but read the letter. "You may enter, Miss Glinda," he said after reading.

"May they come, too?" Glinda asked in a small voice. She released her grip on Nessa and took a step forward so that she was standing beside Fiyero.

"Just one other person," the Bear replied. "You must understand humans are not allowed in there and I am breaking the rules just for you." He said this as if she should have been glad at the opportunity to enter an Animal temple. Glinda turned to her friends, not wanting to choose who could go with her. She didn't want to be in charge of who got to say their last goodbyes to the professor, or who didn't.

"Boq and I will sit this one out," Fiyero insisted. Boq nodded and stepped back.

"I'm sorry you came all this way for nothing," Elphaba gave a sad smile at the circumstances.

"Hey, it's fine. It was a nice little reunion," he shrugged, but gave that million dollar smile.

"You go," Elphaba said to her sister.

"Me? But he was your favorite professor," Nessarose replied, but she knew that Elphaba knew that she had been in contact with him weekly, if not every few days since Glinda had come to stay with her.

"That may be true, but I lost contact with him years ago. You go in with Glinda. I'll be fine if I miss it," Elphaba explained. Nessarose gave her sister a hug, which wasn't returned until about ten seconds later. Nessa held out her hand for Glinda to take once she released Elphaba, and the two followed the Bear inside the temple, Glinda giving Elphaba a sad look before the doors shut.

Elphaba, Fiyero, and Boq walked over to the park across the street. Elphaba took a seat on the bench while Boq sat on the grass and picked at it, like a bored child. However, there was a look on his face that meant that he was thinking and didn't want to be bothered. Fiyero took a seat beside Elphaba, keeping to himself so that he wouldn't do something stupid and put his arm around her. "That was very noble of you," Fiyero said. "I'm sure Nessarose is very grateful."

"Yeah…" Elphaba said. "I don't believe in all that stuff anyway. I'm glad Nessa got to go. But can you believe that Bear? If it wasn't for Glinda, I would have taught him a lesson. I can't believe Animals are restricting humans from their temples! I get that humans were horrible to them, but why continue this stupid…war?" Elphaba said, lack for a better word. She was ranting again, but when Fiyero touched her shoulder, she stopped and took a deep breath. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be," Fiyero replied.

"Thank you for coming, even if you couldn't actually go to the funeral."

"It's no problem, Elphaba. I don't mind."

"I'm going for a walk," Boq announced. "Alone," he added, before the other two could ask to join. "I need to think." He rushed off before either of them could say anything.

"What's up with him?" Fiyero questioned.

"Not sure," Elphaba said truthfully.

"Elphaba, if things don't work out with Glinda," Fiyero started after the comfortable silence.

"They will," Elphaba said quickly.

"I know things didn't work out between us the first time," he began.

"Fiyero, listen, we didn't work out because you didn't want to be the submissive one in our relationship," the green woman explained.

"Well, neither did you!" Fiyero laughed when he pointed that out.

"I never will, which is why Glinda and I will work out. She hates taking the lead."

"Except when she slept with your sister," Fiyero pointed out. "Are you sure you want Glinda, even after she…"

"I slept with you, didn't I? And she still wants me, so yes, Fiyero, I still want her. End of discussion."

"No, it's not the end of the discussion," Fiyero persisted. "Glinda is crazy. I don't care if Nessarose says that she isn't, but she is. There is honestly something mentally wrong with her. I could see it the first time I saw her the other day."

"This is-" Elphaba began to protest as anger rose inside of her.

"No, let me finish," Fiyero stated calmly. "I don't know if she can handle a stable relationship without hurting you. Luckily for Nessa, she doesn't love her the way you do, so it doesn't hurt her as much. All I'm saying is, Elphaba, you've been through a lot and maybe this is something you shouldn't take on."

"Glinda is never, ever something I take on, Fiyero. She's not a burden."

"I just want to make sure you don't feel obligated to do this," he explained calmly. "I honestly don't want to see you…heartbroken. I saw how much it hurt you when she hugged Nessarose earlier." Elphaba was silent. It was true; she wished Glinda had gone to her when she needed someone to comfort her. However, she couldn't control that unexplainable bond between Glinda and her sister. She wondered if Nessa told the truth when she said she didn't love the blonde romantically. Elphaba wondered why she was even contemplating this.

"Nessarose loves me," Boq said as he approached the pair. "It's blatantly obvious. She doesn't love Glinda more than a sister."

"But they…did…that," Fiyero replied. "Sisters don't do things like that. Or do they?"

"Oz, you really are brainless sometimes," Boq shook his head. "Those two were incredibly lonely when they found each other, so that would happen."

Unconvinced, Elphaba just nodded. She wondered why Fiyero's words had such an effect on her when even Boq didn't agree with her. She silently watched the temple until the funeral was over. When it was, she saw that all of the Animals left first. A minute later, it seemed that Nessa and Glinda were permitted to leave once the rest of the Animals left. She couldn't hear anything, but she saw that the Bear was most likely explaining to them that their presence was inappropriate, but he had let them due to the fact Boq had found the note addressed to Glinda. She saw Nessa had her arm protectively around Glinda. She pointed across the street at the park where she must have spotted Elphaba, Fiyero, and Boq.

The two women walked over to the park, one with red rimmed eyes and the other freely letting the tears fall down her cheeks. "Elphie," Glinda cried when they were close enough. The blonde continued to sob as she made her way to Elphaba. Frozen on the spot, the raven haired woman didn't run towards her like her brain was telling her to. But, Glinda had gotten there quickly and threw herself at her.

"Oh, Glinda," Elphaba said when she came to her senses. The way Glinda had immediately gone to her proved Fiyero wrong, she thought. It comforted her to know that Glinda had come to her and didn't stay with Nessarose. She had to admit, she was somewhat jealous of her sister when she knew for a fact that Nessa wasn't jealous of her at all.

"He's really gone," she sniffed. "I'm sorry he wouldn't let you come."

"It's all right, Glinda. You and Nessa knew him better than I did."

"I wish he didn't do that to himself," Glinda whispered. "I'm afraid I'll do that, too."

"No you won't, my sweet," she replied quickly.

"I have to get help, Elphie. I know something's definitely wrong. I must get better. I don't want you to have to go to my funeral within the next year."

"Nessa and I will get you the help you need, I promise. For now, let's head back to the hotel." They were staying around Shiz where the funeral had been held. There was one small hotel that they all stayed in. Because of the short notice, the five of them had to stay in one room. The three girls crammed into the bed while Boq and Fiyero slept on the floor on opposite ends of the room. Upon arriving at the hotel, Glinda cried herself into exhaustion and fell asleep in Elphaba's arms. Nessarose had crawled on the floor beside Boq looking for some kind of affection, but he wouldn't at first. That broken look she had given him made his heart rip in two, so he let her head rest on the crook of his shoulder. The woman was very tense, but Boq rubbed her back soothingly which made her relax.

"Don't do this to make me happy," Nessa whispered.

"Where'd Fiyero go?" Boq said, looking around the room.

"Not sure," Nessa shrugged. "But he left the room when he received a letter from a girl named Sarima."

"I knew that prince couldn't be single."

"Boq, don't do this to make me happy," Nessarose repeated.

"I have to admit," Boq said. "I do enjoy holding you like this."

"How about this?" Nessa replied quietly before kissing his cheek.

"I like that," Boq replied.

"What do you like?"

"When you kiss me," he gasped when she did it again and again until her lips met his. It took him a moment, but he eventually returned the kiss. Boq felt his stomach drop, flip flop, and do acrobatics inside of his body. At that moment, when Nessa looked up at him as she laid there beside him, Boq realized he was deeply, madly, and truly in love with Nessarose Thropp.

I really enjoyed writing the Nessa and Boq part; they're just so adorable! Anyway, to clear things up about the last chapter, the reader will most likely ultimately decide on what mental disorder Glinda has if you want to relate to it to what we know about mental disorders. What Nessa believes is just her educated guess. Since this is Oz, I'm sure that they either describe disorders differently or the people react to them in a different manner. Hopefully this clears up some questions! As always, thank you all for reading and reviewing!
