Leo's Pov:

Why? Why would this happen to me? Once again, our life had made a nice turn, but then, oh guess what, Calypso is, injured, again. This, time, though, it's worse.
I feel something sticky on my feet, and it shocks me back to reality. I kneel down and cradle her head in my lap.

"Hey, Calypso, can you hear me?" I whisper. "Come on, you made it through the last time. You can do it again." Right? I get no response, and so I snap back to attention. I quickly dial 911, and I can hear the sirens within 2 minutes. They arrive quickly and the paramedics look up at me as the carefully pick her up.

"Wait, she's alive right?" one of them asks.

"I- I think so," I reply shakily.

They check her pulse quickly, and I breathe out a sigh of relief as the paramedic nods at me after she's done. After that, they rush off and put her into the ambulance.

This time when Calypso was wheeled into the room, they let me follow. I don't know if that's a good thing or not. They announced that she'd need immediate surgery. I'm allowed to go into the observation room to watch the surgery. They prep Calypso for surgery, and I take a breath as she is wheeled into the o.r. (operation room). They immediately start, and I look away. I can't watch that. I want to stay unconscious for when she gets out, and I know that if I watched, I'd pass out. I suddenly hear some commotion, and I look down through the glass. One of the doctors is trying to manually pump her heart. Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap. Her heart stopped! No no no no no no. This is bad. This is very bad. I see the doctor stop pumping, and I take a glance at the heart monitor. I breathe out. It's back at a normal level again. One of the doctors turns on the intercom up to my viewing box. She has a straight face as she says, "Hi Leo. Her heart is steady for now, but it won't be for very long. We've got to get her on a machine that will pump her heart for it. We're going to wheel her out now. You can follow us."

Well, I guess I'll go down and follow them. I go down the steps onto the main level, and I get caught up on all the info from one of the doctors.

"Alright Leo. So, her plan is to keep her on life support, so, just in case we have to do that, that's the plan."

I nod. I already knew that. Once Calypso is settled in her bed, I sit in a chair next to her. The doctors leave us alone, but another one comes in after about 25 minutes. She does an examination, and she mutters under her breath. I can't make it out, but it sounds bad. She calls another doctor to come in, and he does another examination.

He ignores me after I demand what's going on. He swears, and orders the first doctor to get some machines in the room immediately. Wait. Wait, like life support machines?

After the doctor comes with all the machines they hook her up immediately. Finally, the doctor turns to me. He speaks in a melancholy voice. "Leo, I'm sorry, we've had to hook her up to life support. She's entered into a comatose state."
