Yeah, I know it's been a while but I've been busy. I'm soooo sorry. Here's something short and sweet. Reviews are appreciated.
"How long are you going to be in there?" Dean killed the engine and turned to look at his brother, "You know it is my birthday."
"I know Dean. You've been reminding me all day. I get it. Mom and dad are taking us out to dinner tonight. I'll just be half an hour." Sam rolled his eyes and gave his big brother a classic bitch face. "And mom has reservations at seven so it'll be an hour at most."
Sam throws open the passenger door and slams it closed. I have no idea why he wants to go to the library tonight, it's not like it won't be here tomorrow.
After a few minutes I get cold and decide to wait inside. At least inside I'll have a better chance at getting Sam to leave sooner. I grab my IPod from the dash and sit down in the overly plush chairs. I try to get comfortable but when it becomes apparent that that isn't going to happen anytime soon I stand up and wonder around until I happen upon the section of computers. "Not stalking, just concerned." I leave my earphones in, letting people that I don't want them speaking to me. There would be no good answer if someone were to ask me why I was looking up what I'm looking up.
There's no new information about the infamous Castiel Novak. Not like I expected any. There hasn't been anything new in just under a month. The last time that he was seen had been a week after I got back. He'd been in Florida. Apparently he killed a man who had been taking advantage of the undergrads. The media forgot to mention that. They just focused on the version of Cas that everyone knows, the mass murdered, I'm not saying that what he does is right. But at least he's toned it down. Kind of. In a way.
Several minutes later I'm on YouTube watching random videos when a shadow falls over me. But when I turn around there's no one there and I have the distinct feeling of fingers on my neck. Goosebumps appear on my skin and I get up. I check behind the closest shelves but find no one. I wrap my hoodie around me tighter and feel myself start to relax.
"Sam." I don't even try to whisper, I saw five cars out front and two belong to the librarians. Someone shh's me anyways and I roll my eyes and grit my teeth together. "Sammy." I say a little quieter this time. This time no one tells me to quiet down and I call for him again. He still doesn't answer. I've never been in this part of the library, all the books look dusty and I can tell that no one else has been down this section in a while. I'm just about to turn around when I see a person's shadow at the end of the isle. "Hey buddy, have you seen a kid about this high." I walk up to them, they have their back to me, and a hoodie covering up their head.
My hand hangs near my shoulder, about the height that Sam is.
"Your brother is in the far left corner with a certain blonde girl." I know that voice, but the stranger doesn't turn around. "He looked busy at the moment so I figured we could catch up." Finally the stranger turns around and Cas grins at me, his eyes are bright and there's hair hanging in his face. I can barely make out some discoloration along his nose. But my eyes first track the blood splattered on his cheek.
It looked like he had made an attempt to brush it off. "Cas?" I reach my hand out to him, barely believing he's actually here. He grabs my hand instantly and pulls me close, "What are you doing here?" my words come out mumbled, my face is pressed up in his neck and I can smell the familiar air around him, and I relax.
