AN: Hello people! Here's a small little mini chapter. My friend gave me the idea and I could not pass it up.
If I had to say which band Tino would be listening to it would probably be Nightwish or... I don't really know many Finnish metal bands but I found 78 on a Wikipedia page. Sorry there wasn't any singing in the chapter!
Friendly reminder that Finland(Tino) is Santa, Lukas is Norway and Mathias is Denmark.
Disclaimer: Hetalia belongs to Hidekez Himaruya.
As a certain American nation suspected, his plan had worked perfectly. After the meeting Feliciano had told him that many nations were starting to think about song they might be able to sing or were asking fellow nations if they knew any good ones. Alfred had grinned and nodded in return.
Ludwig was as grumpy as always, especially now that things were back on. They were starting to wonder if he would ever just give up, maybe let them just pick when or if they wanted to sing something.
Surprisingly, the answer to this question came from Santa. Even if it was unintentional…
Ludwig had been in the middle of a speech when he had noticed it; those ear buds that always kept returning.
He stopped talking, eyes narrowing. "Tino."
The Finnish man's head shot up, telling him that this wasn't something he had planned. For a moment he felt bad for having to call him out, but then he remembered the rule.
"Yes?"
Surprisingly the Nordics beside him looked just as nervous as the man who had been caught. Even Mathias wasn't making fun.
He raised an eyebrow slightly. "You know the rules. Go on."
Mathias laughed nervously. "Uh, Ludwig… Can we not do that?"
Lukas nodded, turning to face him, his face calm despite the bit of worry showing. "It wouldn't be best."
The nations looked at them oddly, their interest piqued. Why were they covering him? Maybe Tino was just a bad singer.
Ludwig shook his head. "No, he was caught, he has to sing."
The Nordics looked at Tino helplessly and the Fin just shrugged, rubbing his arm nervously. "Don't say we didn't try." He whispered under his breath. Then, he removed the ear buds and pressed play.
Everyone jumped when the sound of electric guitars and loud voices blasted from the phone's speakers. Many nations gave the Fin odd looks, the music completely different from their expectations.
Tino smiled nervously at them, the rest of the Nordics daring anyone to say anything. Berwald's glare was especially terrifying.
The instrumental continued for a minute, growing louder as the lyrics were about to start. Just as Tino opened his mouth and took a breath, the music stopped.
Everyone's eyes shifted to the spot behind Tino where Ludwig stood, phone in hand and a finger on the pause button. He held the Fin's phone out to him and Tino took it back slowly, surprised.
Ludwig stared at him for a moment. "Just… just listen to the speech Tino."
The Fin nodded, grateful that he hadn't had to sing. As Ludwig returned to the podium the other nations were to surprised to even be angry at the unfairness.
There was still time to get caught anyway… At least now they knew that if they got caught while Ludwig had a headache and they didn't want to sing that metal was the answer.
AN: Thanks for reading!
Also, for those of you that are waiting for the next chapter of Lest We Forget: I'm sorry it's taking so long. I'm having Ludwig block, but I'll try and get it up as soon as I can.
