A nervous smile stretches across Brittany's face as I watch the small animal wiggle its way out of Brittany's coat.

"Meet Pip," Brittany carefully removes the tiny kitten from her coat, holding it out to me.

"Pip?" I question, not moving any closer to the two.

"Yeah, doesn't she look like a Pip?" Brittany brings the kitten up to her face and begins kissing the top of its head. "Come say hello," Brittany motions for me to come sit next to her on the couch.

"Uh-," I hesitate by the side of the coffee table.

"Come on San," she teases in a baby voice. "she won't bite. Well, she won't bite hard. She's just a baby."

I roll my eyes and reluctantly take a seat next to them. Brittany sets the kitten down in the space between us and I just continue to stare down at it until it starts wobbling toward me. The kitten lets out a high pitched meow, causing me to shrink back a little before it climbs on top of my lap and lays down. My hands are tucked closely to my chest as I look down at the small animal.

"Look babe, she likes you," Brittany coos, petting the kitten underneath the chin. "You can relax you know?" Brittany laughs.

I slowly lower my arms to my sides before turning my head to see the smile on Brittany's face.

"So, um," I clear my throat. "Why?"

"Why what?" Brittany looks up to me confused.

"Why the cat? Why here?"

"Oh, well, I don't know," she shrugs. "I saw her and I got really sad because I miss Tubs and then I got an idea and then I got a cat," she exclaims. "But um," Brittany hesitates a moment, sucking her lips into her mouth. "Uh- Rachel said she is allergic to cats, so I was thinking..." Brittany stops talking.

"Thinking what?" I ask carefully, narrowing my eyes at Brittany.

"If she could, you know, stay here?"

"Here?" Brittany nods her head.

"She can be like our little baby," Brittany coos at the kitten again.

"Our baby?"

"Our practice baby," Brittany confirms as she lifts the kitten off my lap.

"Practice baby?" I question again.

Brittany must realize what she just said because the smile slowly fades from her face.

"Uh-," she clears her throat. "I didn't mean to-," she breathes out.

Baby.

The word keeps repeating in my head.

Baby.

We're not married.

Heck, we haven't even been dating six months.

Baby.

Do I even want babies?

"San," Brittany's voice draws me out of my thoughts.

"Hmm,"

"You okay in there?"

"Yep. Fine," I say quickly, shaking the thoughts out of my head. "Q-Quinn-" I stutter, pointing down the hallway, "She needs our help painting her room."

"I love painting," Brittany says. "But, hey," she says quietly, "you don't mind do you? Keeping her here for a while."

"Well," I take a look down at the kitten. "I mean-," then I look up to Brittany's face and she just looks so happy and excited that I couldn't possible say no. "Of course not," I tell her. In the next instant Brittany is crushing me in a hug and whispering thank yous into my neck.

/

"Oh my god!" Quinn squeals when we get back into her bedroom. "Look how tiny!" She quickly greets Brittany at the door, prying the cat away from her.

"We have a cat," I tell Quinn, as I go to pick up a paint brush.

Brittany walks with me to the other side of the room, grabbing a brush herself, as Quinn is distracted by the four legged creature. She holds it out at arm's length, talking to it like it is a baby.

"Looks like Quinn is down with the idea," I tell Brittany through a laugh.

Eventually Quinn puts the kitten down and begins helping with the painting again, but then Brittany and I are distracted, trying to get her to stay away from the paint so she doesn't leave little kitten trails all over the room.

We decide to take shifts watching the cat and of course, I am first up.

"Here," Brittany hands me a piece of string that she found on the floor. "This should keep her distracted."

I take the string from Brittany's hand and dangle it above the kittens head.

I have to admit that the thing is cute and I can't help the smile that cracks across my face when Pip takes the first swing at the string.

It takes us about two hours to paint the room. Now all we have to do is let the walls dry and then we get to the exciting process of moving everything back into Quinn's room.

Of course, that doesn't happen until around midnight when we are all too tired to function. Me especially and I kept begging Quinn to do it sooner, but she kept telling me that the paint was still wet, even with all the fans going in her room in an attempt to dry it faster.

Eventually though, we got finished and when Brittany and I made it into my bedroom to go to bed, I was out within five minutes.

/

"Baby," I groan, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. I roll over, wanting to snuggle up next to Brittany, but I am met with cold sheets instead. "What the hell?" I whisper out loud, searching the room as if she would appear somewhere.

She doesn't, of course, so I roll out of bed and walk down the hall into the living room.

I see Brittany's arm draped across the back of the couch and when I walk around the front, she is laying there with the kitten snuggled up underneath her chin. I kneel down in front of her and grab hold of the hand by her side. Brittany stirs a little, but otherwise doesn't move. When I lean in to kiss Brittany's cheek, the kitten stretches, blocking my lips from reaching Brittany.

I frown down at the kitten who falls right back asleep, twisting her body slightly so she is tucked closer to Brittany.

"Baby," I whisper, running my fingers along the inside of Brittany's wrist. Brittany smiles lightly at the touch before opening her eyes slightly to look at me. "Come back to bed," I lay my forehead against Brittany's shoulder.

Brittany stretches out her body, bringing the hand I was previously holding up to comb through my hair. I close my eyes at the sensation and I would fall asleep right here, except that it's pretty cold right now.

"Mmm," Brittany mumbles. "What time is it?"

"I don't know," I answer, my eyes becoming heavier by the second. "You should come back to the nice, warm bed though," I tell her again.

"Mmkay," Brittany groans as she sits up, gently cradling the kitten in her arms so she doesn't slide down her body.

Brittany puts her down inside the box we found before we went to bed and I start making my way back to the bedroom. Right before I walk through the door way, I turn to find Brittany still staring down into the box.

"Baby, come on," I whisper.

Brittany looks from me to the box and then slowly walks toward me. I crawl into bed first, lifting up the covers so Brittany can slide under too.

"She'll be okay, baby," I tell Brittany as I pull her closer by the waist.

"It's so cold out there though," Brittany worries her bottom lip between her teeth.

"You put like three blankets in there with her," I remind Brittany. "And she has fur."

"What if she gets lonely though?" Brittany wonders aloud.

"Babe," I groan, wanting nothing more than to just fall asleep with Brittany.

"Okay, I'm sorry," Brittany finally relaxes, nuzzling her face into my chest.

I stroke up and down Brittany's arm for a few moments before what Brittany said earlier pops into my mind.

I have never thought of myself as someone who would have children, but I guess I never really thought of myself as someone who wouldn't have children either. It's just something that doesn't cross my mind that often.

There are a lot of things I haven't thought about before Brittany.

"Hey, Britt?" I say softly.

"Hmm," she answers back.

"Come here," I start tugging her body up until her face is just inches away from mine.

I stare at her through the darkness of the room, feeling her body pressed up against mine and her warm breath hitting my face.

"I-" I start, but am cut off by Brittany's lips.

Brittany's fingertips dig into my sides as she presses her body closer to mine. I let out a low groan as a warm feeling blooms deep within my stomach. Brittany swings her leg over my body, straddling me in the process and never breaking the kiss.

"What were you gonna say," she mumbles against my mouth.

"Not important," I answer as I start pulling up her shirt to get it over her head, but it gets stuck when her arms don't move up with the material.

"Tell me," she pulls away slightly from my face, nudging my cheek with her nose.

"I was gonna say I love you," I lean up and press a kiss to her chin.

"That's the most important thing," Brittany whispers.

My insides turn to a puddle at Brittany's words. She sit up so she is sitting on my body and runs her hands underneath my shirt, her blunt nails spreading heat below my abdomen.

"Do you know what I love most about you?" She asks, her hands moving further south. My breath hitches in the back of my throat when I feel the slight brush of her fingertips over my center.

"What?" I husk out when Brittany repositions her body so she is sitting over my core.

"How I can turn you on so easily," she grinds her ass down into me and my head rolls back into the pillows.

All I can do is moan out my answer because, let's face it, she isn't wrong.

Brittany continues to grind down into me as she lifts up my shirt, exposing my breasts. The next thing I know, she is kissing up my abdomen until her mouth closed around one of my nipples. I run my fingers through her hair as Brittany's tongue flicks across the bud and she is sucking it into her mouth. My back arches up into her touch, wanting to prolong the contact for as long as possible and my lower half begins moving with hers.

Brittany pushes her hand into the waistband of my pajama pants before she kisses up my neck, making her way to my lips. I groan into her mouth as she applies pressure to my center and starts to draw lazy circles with her fingertips. Brittany's other hand tickles across my stomach, something that sends a new wave of pleasure through my body and straight to where her other hand is positioned.

"God Britt," I breathe out.

"I love you," she whispers into the space between our lips and that's all it take. Three simple words to send me over the edge.

Brittany brings me down slowly, kissing all across my face. I breathe out a content sigh when her hand pulls away from my body before I pull Brittany's face back to mine for a kiss. When she pulls away, she has the biggest smile on her face. Everything about her is so beautiful and I get reminded of that every single day.

/

Brittany is still sleeping when I get up in the morning to use the bathroom. When I get out, I hear the tiny meows coming from the living room and I debate whether or not I should go check on the thing. I decide I probably should and I reluctantly walk down the hall and into the living room where I find the kitten sitting on the edge of the couch, looking like it wants to jump down.

Quinn probably left her there and forgot about her before going to class this morning. I thought cats were supposed to be able to jump, I guess not when they are this small though. I walk over to the couch and pick her up, cradling her in my arms before walking back to my bedroom.

Brittany is still sleeping, so I put the cat down on the mattress and watch as she goes to sniff Brittany's face. Brittany turns up her nose as the kitten sniffs her nose, but then her face cracks into a smile.

Brittany blinks open her eyes, one by one.

"Pip," she exclaims, pulling the kitten into a hug and causing her to meow again. "And Santana," she turns to look at me. "Could there be a better way to wake up?" Brittany says dreamily.

"I could think of a better way," I say, crawling onto the mattress to give Brittany a good morning kiss.

Brittany hums into my mouth before stretching out her body and releasing the kitten. We watch as she wonders around on my bed, stopping every so often to pounce when she sees something move beneath the covers.

I lay my head down on Brittany's lap when she sits up to play with Pip some more. I dose in and out of consciousness as Brittany lightly scratches my back.

/

After Brittany goes to class, I lay on the couch to watch some TV. My class got cancelled today because my professor had to go out of town for a meeting. Which is fine with me because I would much rather stay in today anyway.

Brittany didn't want to leave either and wanted to stay with Pip all day, so she had a tuff time making it out the door this morning. I even tried to get her to stay. I probably shouldn't encourage her to skip class, but missing one day every now and then doesn't hurt anything. She told me she couldn't though because attendance was required during her first class because they are working on a group project.

So now it's just me and Pip. I should probably go out and get her some supplies. Like a litter box and food, but I'll do that later. Or I could make Quinn do it, she is already out.

I decide to give it a shot, sending Quinn a text and asking her to pick up a few things.

I look down at the kitten that's curled up on my stomach and laugh.

"Pip," I say out loud, "what a strange name for a cat." The kitten blinks its eyes open at the sound of my voice, but then goes right back to sleep. "Whatever," I shrug.

At around two o clock, I decide that it would be a good idea to call my sister. We haven't spoken since I left Lima and I want to make sure she still wants to visit over spring break.

"Hey Maya," I say when she doesn't answer the phone. "It's your sister, Santana." I roll my eyes at myself because she only has one sister. "Anyway, I was just calling to see if you still wanted to visit during your spring break. I need to get everything set up if you do. You know, plane tickets and what not. Call me when you get this."

I hang up the phone and toss it to my side. I look into the kitchen and see the folder with all the paper work I need to fill out for my job.

I carry Pip with me into the kitchen, setting her down on the counter while I flip through everything. I take a look at the schedule they set up for me and see that my first day is the 20th. I scrunch my eyebrows together and look over to the calendar and see that today is the 20th.

Shit.

I guess it's a good thing I checked, but I remember they lady saying that I didn't have to be at work until next week.

I still have a couple of hours before I need to be there, but this just ruins my whole day. I was going to sit and do nothing.

I send Brittany a text, letting her know and she tells me to have a good day at work.

/

Despite being ready an hour and a half before I needed to be here, I end up being a couple of minutes late.

Don't ask me how that works.

Anyway, I walk through the doors of the store and find that I have no idea where I am supposed to go. I decide to go up to one of the cashiers and ask them.

"So, um, hi. I'm new here and where do I clock in?" I ask the lanky boy standing behind the register.

"Are you Santana?" he asks, his eyes roaming over my body.

"Yeah," I shift awkwardly in my place and when I notice him continuing to stare, I grow a little impatient, clearing my throat and snapping him out of his daze.

"Right, sorry," his cheeks grow a dark shade of red. "Uh- my name is Stephen," he extends his hand for me to shake.

I hesitate for a moment, but decide I should comply. I don't want to make any enemies on my first day.

"I'm supposed to be training you today," he looks around the store. "Um- there are some videos you need to watch first though."

"Videos?" I question.

"Yeah. Come on," he rounds the corner and takes me to the back of the store where there is a room with a computer in it. He messes with it for a few minutes before he finally gets where he needs to be. "All right. They are kinda long. Sorry about that, but yeah- just watch these and come get me when you are done. I think there are ten?"

"Okay," I breathe out and I wait until he leaves the room before I start the videos.

/

Finally, the videos are finished after about two hours and my eyes are burning from staring at the screen for so long. I don't even remember what I watched to be honest. It's all one big blur. I'm pretty sure I wasn't paying attention half the time.

The good news is that I only have about an hour left here and then I can go home.

The bad news is I have to go talk to Stephen again.

I find him at the same spot he was in when I walked in earlier, only now he is playing on his phone.

"Finished," I say tapping on the counter top.

"Oh-" he looks up, clearly startled by my presence. "Cool. Okay, well, I was going to show you the register today, but were pretty slow," he motions around the store. "As you can see. If you wanna get out of here early, you are more than welcome to."

"Really?" I say hopefully. Maybe Stephen isn't so bad.

"Yeah, watching videos for two hours isn't all that fun. We can pick this up on your next shift."

"Sweet," I turn and walk out the door, a successful first day at work.

/

"Quinn, we need to talk," Quinn is in the living room playing with Pip when I enter the apartment. "Quinn!" I shout again when she doesn't answer.

"What?" Quinn stops dangling the string long enough for the cat to attack it and get it out of her hands. "Oh, you're so cute," Quinn's attention goes back to the cat.

I huff and throw my jacket on the floor, not even bothering to put it on the coat rack. My brain is literally fried right now.

I grab a cup of yoghurt from the refrigerator and sit down on the opposite side of the sofa.

Pip immediately comes over to me and starts rubbing against my arm.

"Hey!" I tear my arm away. "I'm trying to eat here. Maybe you can have some leftovers."

"I went and bought a litter box and some toys," Quinn points over to the corner of the room.

"Thanks," I tell her, taking a bite of the yoghurt.

"What did you want to talk about?"

"Well, I just-" I start. "I wanna know what's happening when you graduate. Work was really boring and they made me watch a bunch of training videos, but I spaced out and started thinking about things."

Quinn laughs.

"What do you mean what's going to happen? Santana I'm not just going to disappear."

"Yeah, but you always talk about moving to where Mercedes lives and I-" I have to stop talking as the words get caught in my throat.

"I changed my mind," Quinn shrugs.

"What do you mean you changed your mind?"

"Well, there are schools everywhere," Quinn tells me. "And Bette Porter, she loved that piece I just sent her and offered to contact me for any projects she thinks might suit me."

"Q, that's awesome," I smile over to her. I finish the last of my yoghurt before letting Pip lick out the remains.

"Yeah," she agrees with a smile. "What about you Santana? What about Brittany?"

"I don't know about Britt, but I plan on staying in the city. We haven't really had that talk yet." I shrug. "What do I do if she wants to move back to Lima though?" I say, suddenly panicking.

"I don't know," Quinn answers. "Let her?"

"What!"

"San, calm down. I was kidding." Quinn smirks, "you could always ask her to move in with you."

"I hate you," I scoff.

"What? You guys are always spending the night with each other. Why not?"

"Where would you go? With Rachel?" I can't imagine anyone wanting to live with Rachel.

"Yeah, we have actually already discussed it."

"Of course you have," I roll my eyes. "Look, we haven't been dating that long. Brittany probably isn't ready for that and I don't want to be one of those lesbian couples."

"Are you ready for that?" Quinn stops my ranting.

"I- I don't know," I say honestly.

"And on that note," Quinn gets up off the couch. "I'm gonna go to bed and I'm taking Pip with me. Oh yeah" Quinn stops half way to her room. "Rachel's play thing was postponed to next week."

I watch Quinn disappear into her bedroom with Pip in her arms and I sit frozen to my spot on the couch. It would definitely be awesome to live with Brittany and wake up next to her every morning. And it would really help with seeing each other more, especially now that we both have jobs and go to school, but I don't want to scare her away with the idea of a commitment she isn't ready to make.

It's not like I have to ask her tonight though, or even tomorrow for that matter or hell, even this month.

I would miss Quinn as my roommate though.

My phone buzzes from its spot on the coffee table where I see Brittany's picture flash across the screen.

"Hey," I answer as smoothly as possible.

"Hey, how was your first day?"

"It was alright," I tell her. "My head kinda hurts. How was your day?"

"Relaxing," Brittany answers. "I just woke up from a nap. A long, long nap which I haven't done in forever it seems. Hey, speaking of forever" Brittany draws out and I swear my heart almost beats right out of my chest. "I was thinking about Valentine's day," she tells me. "I wanna do something for you, obviously duh-, but could you like ask off work that weekend?"

"Um- yeah. Totally," my heart slows down, but not much.

"Sweet," Brittany answers. "So, do you like your job?"

"I don't know yet," I laugh. "I mean- I didn't really do much."

"Oh right, well, hey if you end up hating your job, you can totally come work at the gym with me."

"I don't think we would get much work done babe, unless it's on each other."

"Yeah," Brittany laughs. "I don't know if I could handle seeing you all hot and sweaty and sexy all day."

"Mmm," I groan into the phone. "I don't think I could handle seeing your ridiculously toned abs all day either."

"Yeah," I can hear how Brittany's breathing is getting shallower. "Oh, can you put Pip on the phone?" Brittany asks suddenly, changing the subject where as my heart is still beating wildly at the prospect of seeing Brittany in her work attire, which usually consists of a tank top and shorts.

"Quinn took her," I say, my voice a little raspy.

"Dang it," she breathes out.

"You know, you can come over and see her right? I won't stop you. In fact, I actually encourage that."

"I thought you would be in bed," Brittany says.

"Babe, I literally got home twenty minutes ago. Seriously, come over and we can watch a movie or something."

"Okay," Brittany answers. "I'll see you in a few."

While I am waiting for Brittany to get here, I sneak into Quinn's room, surprised to find that she is already sleeping. Pip is curled up on Quinn's other pillow, so I carefully take her and exit the room.

I hear my phone ringing where I left it, so I run down the hall to catch it before it stops.

"Hello?" I breathe.

"Of course I still want to visit!" Maya's voice is loud so I have to pull the phone away from my ear.

"Damn! Okay," I say a little too harshly. "Can I call you back later though? Brittany is on her way over."

"Yeah, sure." Maya answers.

"Bye," I say when I hear a knock on the door.

Brittany must run here or something. She always get here so quickly.

When I open the door, Brittany greets Pip first and I stand there with a pout on my face until Brittany realizes and the kisses my cheek.

"It's no big deal," I say feigning hurt. "I just come in second to a cat."

"No you don't," Brittany kisses me on the lips. "You'll always be first," she pinches my cheek.

The three of us settle together on the couch with Brittany holding the cat and me holding Brittany. We have hot chocolate and my big cover from my bedroom. Brittany wanted to watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show which I thought was an odd choice, but whatever.

I could totally sing the opening song much better.

/

"Is she ready yet," I groan.

Rachel's big day is finally here. I have heard about it non-stop for a week now, more than a week really and now that it's finally here, Rachel is taking her sweet time getting ready. It feels like Quinn and I have been waiting for an eternity.

"I think she's just nervous Santana," Quinn get up off the sofa and walks to Rachel's door. "Rach," she knocks. "You ready yet?" Quinn presses her ear against the door as I watch on from the living room. "Uh oh, Santana, we need to have an intervention."

"Why?"

"Just get over here," she snaps. I get off the couch and hurry over to Quinn's side. "Rachel open the door, please," Quinn says softly and in a few seconds Rachel is opening the door for the two of us to step inside.

"I can't go on tonight," Rachel starts pacing the room, dining her hands through her hair. "Kurt isn't going to be there. He is my lucky charm. See, I knew the show being postponed was a bad sign."

"Why isn't lady Hummel coming?" I whisper to Quinn as Rachel continues to rant.

"Blaine was in a bike accident or something," Quinn informs me. "He broke his toe."

"He broke his toe?"

"Yes!" She hisses before turning her attention back to Rachel. "They are at the hospital and Blaine is acting like it's the end of the world, so Kurt is staying with him. Rachel, it will be okay." Quinn begins talking her down. "Santana and I will be there and so will Brittany when she gets out of class."

"I know, but-!"

"But nothing," I stand up. "Listen here Berry. It's high time you let go of these superstitions and get on with it. Isn't it you who always says that the show must go on? Isn't it you who always says that you have never and will never miss an opening act, no matter how sick you are?" Rachel timidly nods her head. "So get your ass ready and get down to the theatre because I paid thirty dollars for these tickets and I am not going to sit through some second string actress," I finish with a huff.

"You're right Santana," Rachel exclaims triumphantly.

"I'm right?" I question. "I mean of course I am," I say quickly.

Rachel rushes Quinn and I out of the room and is ready to go in five minutes.

/

"On thank god you're here," I throw my arms around Brittany's neck when I see her walk through the door of the building. "I'm so bored."

We got here two hours before show time because Rachel needed to be here early.

And it has been the longest time of my life.

Brittany kisses my cheek as I pull away from her.

"Where's Kurt and Blaine?" She asks, scanning the area.

"Blaine broke his toe," I tell her, rolling my eyes.

"He broke his toe?"

"Yeah, a freak bike accident," I tell her. Brittany nods her head. "Let's go sit down," I say to Quinn and Brittany.

"We can't yet Santana," Quinn reminds me for the hundredth time.

"Why the hell not? My feet hurt," I puff out my lower lip and Brittany turns to kiss it.

"Ugh, stop it you two," Quinn makes a fake having noise.

"I'm just trying to make my baby feel better," Brittany says in her best baby voice. "Cause she had a wuff day at work," Brittany pinches my cheek.

"Stop it!" I slap her hand away. "They made me sweep and mop the entire store," I frown. "My arms still hurt."

"Your arms hurt from sweeping and moping?" Quinn laughs.

"The whole store," I remind her.

"Oh my god, Santana."

"What?" I ask looking between Brittany and Quinn.

Brittany pulls me into her side. "Nothing babe," Brittany winks at me.

"Whatever," I mumble.

After another ten minutes of standing around, we end up being able to take our seats.

"How long is this gonna be?" I lean over towards Brittany to look at the program she picked up.

"I don't know, it doesn't say," she answers trying to flip the program around to see if it says it anywhere. My legs start bouncing up and down repeatedly and Brittany places her hand upon my knee. "Eyes on the prize baby," she tells me.

My legs stop bouncing immediately as I snap my eyes up to hers.

"Oh yeah, like that's gonna make me want to sit through this, knowing I have sweet lady kisses awaiting me when it's finished."

"Santana shut up!" Quinn slaps my arm. "It's starting."

The lights dim and the audience quiets down. Moments later, Rachel is on stage, giving all of us a subtle wave from her side. She is wearing a tethered outfit with her hair done in pig tails and that annoyingly huge smile she always shows. The music starts playing and suddenly Rachel's expression changes. She doesn't look so happy anymore. She looks terrified.

Her breathing is getting faster by the second and before I even know what's going on, she is turning to run off the stage.

"Oh shit," Quinn breathes and Brittany and I share a concerned look.

Quinn instantly gets up and makes her way to the backstage area. There is chatter all around, presumably people discussing what just happened, but it quiets down again as another actress takes the stage, most likely Rachel's understudy.

Brittany and I sneak out of the performance and find Quinn in the restroom standing outside of a stall.

I can hear Rachel sobbing from the other side.

I grab Brittany's arm and pull her outside to give the two of them some privacy.

"She has never done that before," I tell Brittany. "In all the years I have known Rachel, she has never choked."

"She must feel terrible," Brittany says coming to stand beside me.

Quinn come out of the bathroom a few minutes later, followed by a sniffling Rachel, who is too embarrassed to even look up from the ground.

"She just wants to go home," Quinn speaks for Rachel.

Brittany steps forward, wrapping her arm around Rachel's back.

"I'll take her," Rachel leans into Brittany's side. "I'll see you tomorrow," she turns to Quinn and I.

/

Brittany and I are sitting on the floor in her bedroom, waiting for Rachel to get ready. The three of us are going out to dinner. I didn't want to, but Brittany is making me. Quinn is working tonight and since our plans to take Rachel out on opening night were ruined, Brittany thought it would be a good idea it just the three of us went out.

Something about we never get time to bond with Rachel, but what Brittany doesn't know is that I like it that way.

Rachel's mood has been lifted these past few days. We bought extra tickets for the next night, since we really didn't get to see her perform on Thursday, and she totally killed the performance. It seemed like she was a completely different person the next day. Not a single nerve.

"What?" Brittany smiles over to me.

"Nothing," I shake my head.

"You're lying," Brittany nudges my shoulder with hers.

"Am not," I nudge her back.

"Are too."

"No," I let out a light laugh. "Okay fine," I give in. "You're just so cute," I tell her.

"What?" Brittany smiles shyly. "I wasn't even doing anything,"

"So," I grab her hand and lace our fingers together. "Do we have to go to dinner with Rachel?" I ask after a few minutes. "Can't we just stay here and take a nap?"

"San," Brittany warns. "She is still a little upset about the other night."

"Okay, fine."

"So, I was thinking..." Brittany starts, turning her body so she can sit in my lap. I wrap my arms around her waist as she rests her on my shoulders. "And I've come to the conclusion we need to do the girlfriend Q&A."

"Girlfriend Q&A?" I smile up at her.

"Yeah," Brittany kisses my nose. "There is just so much I don't know about you."

"Okay," I lean in and kiss the corner of her mouth.

"Yay!" She squeals. "Okay, I'll start. What's your favorite color?"

"Red. Um, what's your favorite food?"

"It's a tie between Chinese food and macaroni and cheese. Oh! Or your spaghetti," Brittany rolls her head back and groans. "I love your spaghetti."

"Well," I start kissing her neck. "I could make you some right now."

"No," Brittany snaps her head back down. "Your turn. Ask a question."

I take a deep breath, clasping my hands together behind her back.

"What's your favorite childhood memory?"

Brittany takes a moment to think, wording her lips between her teeth and then she smiles brightly at me.

"When I met you," she says in a soft voice.

"Babe, we didn't meet when we were kids," I laugh.

"Yes we did. I know we did." She assures me. "I just know we did," she repeats again, bringing her fingers up to play with my hair.

"Okay, well, then that's my favorite memory too." Brittany keeps playing with my hair for a few moments as I rest my head against her chest. "Britt?" I speak softly and I can feel the way her chest hums as she lets out an answer. "Do you really want to have babies?"

Brittany stiffens a little at the question and I pull back to look at her. She gives me a timid nod.

"How many?" I ask her, kissing the underside of her jaw.

Brittany shrugs at first, then speaks. "Two. What about you?" Brittany asks timidly.

"Guys," Rachel's voice rings through the apartment. "I'm home," she sing songs as she pushes Brittany's bedroom door open.

I give Rachel an annoyed look and Brittany lets out a deep sigh.

"Come on guys! Let's go!"

Brittany and I both groan, but Brittany gets off the ground, extending a hand out to me to pull me up.

"Where are we taking her?" I ask Brittany.

"The incredible pizza place."

"Oh boy."

This should be interesting.

I am so so so sorry this took so long. I had so much work to do. I am hoping to get another chapter up next week.

If there are any mistakes, I apologize. I have to go to work soon and I was trying to get this up as soon as possible.
