AN: Agh, I'm sorry it took me so long to get this one up. I've been busy lately with school and project and life in general. Um, the song is eBay by Weird al Yankovic. The idea for this one was random and this chapter is really random so... you might not get it until a certain line comes up, I don't know.

Disclaimer: Hetalia belongs to Hidekez Humaruya. The song belongs to Weird Al Yankovic.

The halls were quiet and empty. It was kind of boring, but he didn't mind. His ruby red eyes shifted several doors down, where he could hear the drone of a speech being given, though he couldn't tell who was speaking at the moment. Below that he could catch the whispers that could only be conversations, and maybe the hint of whispers. Gilbert wasn't sure if he wanted to go back in there just yet… They might need more time to… forget about it. Then maybe they wouldn't bring it up if he broke, or was let, in again.

He sighed and tilted his head back against the wall, staring at the ceiling. There was nothing he could do here… he needed something. And he knew that he had gotten no texts recently, most likely because his bruder would think someone wanted to sing if they had their phone out. That wasn't always the case, but it happened anyway…

He brought the weight back onto his feet, peeling himself off of the wall. He glanced around the hallway, which was decorated only with a few plants here and there, a window at the end of the long corridors on both sides of him. Nothing to do here…

Shrugging to himself, gilbert turned to the hallway on his right and stepped into it and the further he walked the more the droning died away. He wished he could explore whatever this place held, though it couldn't be much, with the rest of the trio. Gilbird chirped from his shoulder, curious. He smiled at the bird, glad that he had brought him. He had finally decided that if he wasn't allowed in the place anyway, he might as well bring a friend.

As he went down the hallway and another after that, he decided that there was nothing good. He tried to start counting the plants as he saw them, but that quickly became boring. Eventually, and he wondered how many deep this place went. It was like a maze… sort of. He began counting the halls. One, two, three, four…

Fünf, sechs, sieban, acht, neun, zehn… Damn, there were too many hallways in this place.

A few more halls later he found himself in a small room that looked to be empty. Gilbert slipped his head in and glanced around. It looked old, dust covering several items, but large enough. He stepped inside and continued looking. Part of his mind told him that this probably wasn't a good idea and that the area was probably abandoned, but this was interesting.

After a moment of searching, gilbird chirped. He turned his head towards the bird, curious. "What is it?" He asked, his voice quiet as not to disturb the silence. The bird looked up and chirped again, looking around from his perch on the German's shoulder. Gilbert's eyebrows furrowed and he looked up. In a medium size gap between two larger parts of wall sat a boy. He was dressed in a plain t-shirt and jeans, though it still reminded Gil of the sea outfits he used to walk around in. He raised an eyebrow, though he seemed not to have been noticed yet. "Peter, what are you doing here?"

The boy looked up, his eyes flashing after a moment. "I'm a-"

Gilbert held up a hand and sat on the floor in front of the micronation, thoughts of exploring pushed to the back of his mind. He knew the micronation was still asked the question frequently. "I didn't mean the building. I meant the room."

Peter's eyes widened slightly in understanding. "Oh…" He looked around for a few moments and shrugged. "It's nice in here. I can play games or…" He shrugged again and looked down. "And…"

Gilbert crossed his legs, leaning forward. "And what?"

Peter mumbled softly, "They wouldn't let me in again…"

Gilbert said nothing about Peter not being a nation. He knew how that felt. He also knew that there were responsibilities and such that came with being a nation, but he knew that peter had heard all of that before. Still… having all of the people you know inside of one room that you aren't allowed in… that was kind of harsh. The man thought for a few moments and an idea hit him. His eyes brightened and he smiled, scooting forward. Peter raised an eyebrow. "Hey…" Gilbert whispered, though it wasn't like anyone could hear him. "You know eBay, right?" He had stumbled upon a song not that long ago and, though it had seemed incredibly strange to him at the time, it made some sense now.

Peter's eyebrow's scrunched together, reminding him much of Arthur though he didn't dare to say anything, and nodded slowly. "Mhmm…"

"Well, I've got a song for you."

The chatting inside the meeting room was still going strong. Gilbert and Peter waited outside the room for a lull in the conversation, for the exact moment to step in. Peter was looking much happier, waiting excitedly. "When can we go in?" he whispered, a smile now on his face.

Gilbert smiled. "Just wait a second… or two. I don't want my bruder to explode right when we- actually… we should wait until after. He's much less likely to yell if we do."

Peter was silent for a few moments. "Would he be yelling at me?"

The German shook his head. "Nein, I think it would be at me." when Peters face fell he nudged him. "Don't worry; I sneak in all the time. It's no big deal." Peter nodded and they listened as the conversation rose. Gilbert shook his head and smiled fondly. "You may want to cover your ears." The boy nodded and did so, just as Ludwig's shout came, though it was lesser in volume.

"Alright! Five minute break!"

Gilbert could almost feel the sigh of relief come over the people inside. He smiled at Peter, waiting for him to remove his hands. After a moment the micronation did and looked up at him. "Do we go in now?"

"We make our grand entrance in five minutes."

"But I thought we were sneaking."

Gilbert shrugged slightly, looking curiously at the boy. "What do you want to do?"

Peter was silent. His eyebrows furrowed before his eyes widened and a smile lit up his face. He turned to Gilbert like he was asking for permission. "Can we be like spies?"

He laughed, nodding. "Sure." Gilbert slowly opened the door and peeked inside. The nations had migrated to the break room, including his brother, though a few lingered at the table. Feliks, Toris, Feliciano and Antonio were in a group, talking about one thing or another. He was curious to know what it was, and also wanted to say hello to his friend, but he could do that later. They were facing each other and didn't seem to be looking anywhere near the door. Gilbert nodded silently towards Peter and started to sneak inside.

The other nations were on the far end of the long table so they at least had that working for them. Gilbert moved close to the wall, unsure of why, and knelt so that he looked smaller. Gilbird was quiet, not wanting to give him away. After pausing for a short moment he then half crawled half walked closer to the nearest end of the table, careful to stay out of sight of the break room door. He realized that he probably looked utterly ridiculous, but hey his micronation buddy wasn't sad anymore. Once he was under the table and seated he motioned for Peter to do the same, the boy looking at him from the door.

Peter nodded and made his way over, much smaller than Gilbert had been able to make himself. He was nearly silent and was soon seated next to the German, smiling widely. Gilbird jumped to his shoulder for a moment before returning to the German's.

Gilbert raised an eyebrow at him, making an impressed face. 'Good job.' He mouthed. Peter nodded, looking proud of himself, and they could hear the conversation above them begin to die down. Footsteps entered the room and soon the chairs around them were being filled, the space in between them large enough for the two to sit comfortably. As the meeting began peter tapped his shoulder and Gilbert turned.

'When can we start?'

Gilbert smirked slightly. 'Soon.' He knew that the micronation would probably become bored with the droning and would need to find a nice moment to interrupt. They waited a good twenty minutes. Through that he saw that Peter had, as he had thought, grown bored of the speeches, though during a discussion that had popped up he was genuinely interested. Maybe he could convince the others to let the kid in, if only for a bit, so that he could talk with them.

But more speeches came and both of them were bored. When there seemed to be no end in sight Gilbert took his phone out and silently tapped on his music app, turning it up to full volume. He pressed play and listened as the speech giver- Yao- fell silent, along with the rest of the nations. The German smiled widely at his accomplice and got out from under the table, getting up on his knees, and stuck his head over the front of the table. "Surprise." Gilbird chirped lightly from his shoulder.

Several nations gave him amused or exasperated expressions, but when Peter stuck his head out with him they were surprised. Tino and berwald blinked at the micronation. They, along with the other Nordics, were seated the closest to the edge of the table.

"Peter?" Tino asked, his eyebrows furrowing.

Said boy nodded and smiled at them, though he looked like he may be in trouble later. "Hi." Mathias was grinning and Lukas looked like he might either glare at the man or roll his eyes. Emil seemed neutral, but gave the micronation a nod.

A moment later everyone seemed to remember the music that was now playing. It had a medium tempo, an acoustic guitar playing. Gilbert glanced at Alfred and saw him snort, obviously knowing what song it was. Matthew was giving him an odd look beside the American, though almost amused.

He had thought of the song off the top of his head and everyone would most likely be confused until it had almost ended. Hm… He could do that one thing with that line, but… that might not be the best-

The lyrics started. He would have to figure it out as the song went along. "A used… pink bath robe, a rare… mint snow globe. A Smurf… TV tray. I bought on eBay." Yeah, this was weird already. It was a weird song. He nearly snorted. He could do something with another song this guy had.

He shrugged at the other nations, and at the looks they were giving him, refraining from laughing when he saw his brother's. If only he had a camera… "My house… is filled with this crap that shows up in bubble wrap most every day. What I bought on eBay." He glanced at Peter, knowing the boy was waiting. "Tell me why-"

He couldn't keep from laughing when Peter joined him, but neither could the micronation. They sang it a bit too dramatically. "I bought another pet rock."

"Tell me why-"

They joined again, Gilbert only singing the first sections. "I bought that elf alarm clock."

"Tell me why-" There were so many weird things on that website.

"I bid on Shatner's old toupee- they had it on eBay."

Gilbert smiled as Peter dropped out and he continued. "Hey I'll buy… your knick-knack, just check… my feedback." He glanced at the boy next to him and Peter smiled as well, picking up where he left off.

" 'A++!' they all say, they love me on eBay…"

Gilbert took up the beginning of the lines again. "Gonna buy-" He glanced at Mathias and saw that his eyes had widened and he was smiling with them. It looked like he understood it now, though most everyone else was still clueless.

"A slightly damaged golf bag." They sang together and Mathias pointed to himself, asking if he could join.

"Gonna buy-" Gilbert looked towards Peter as he nodded, his smile widening. The two continued to sing,

"Some Beanie Babies new with tags…" They continued to sing together this time. "From some guy-" The two dropped out and Mathias's smile widened, the man continuing like he had planned it. He elbowed Lukas.

"-I've never met in Norway-" Lukas almost groaned as they continued, singing louder and stronger.

"Found him on eBay!" The two let Mathias keep singing.

"I am the type who-" How did he know the lyrics? "Is liable to snipe you, with two seconds left to go-" They joined him. "Whoa."

Gilbert continued, giving Peter a glance to ask if he wanted to sing. The boy gave his head a slight shake, 'not yet' and Gilbert nodded. "Got or Visa, whatever'll please ya, as long as I've got the dough…"

The music slowed down, a part that was completely unneeded and felt ridiculous. They didn't care.

Matthias sang the first part, looking like he was trying to hold back a laugh. "I'll buy… Your tchotchkes."

Gilbert continued, raising his naked wrist and pointing to it, more trying to make someone laugh than anything. "Sell me… your watch please." All three of them sang the echo of, "I'll buy," which repeated four times. None of them knew what to do with the next line and had little time to figure it out. Gilbert ended up saying it loudly,

"I'm highest bidder!"

The three sang the next bit together, feeling odd but smiling all the same. Peter himself wasn't entirely sure what the reason was for the song, but he was starting to. "Junk keeps arriving in the mail, from that worldwide garage sale… Hey! A Dukes of Hazard ashtray, I bought it on eBay."

Mathias came in with the clearer sounding, "Oh yeah," that made them laugh. Peter added himself in finally, singing louder,

"Wanna buy-"

The other two finished, grinning despite themselves. "A Pac Man Fever lunch box."

"Wanna buy-"

"A case of vintage tube socks."

"Wanna buy-"

"A Kleenex used by Dr. Dre… Found it on eBay."

Peter continued to sing his part and tried to hold the next line out like the man singing it did, though he ended up cracking up halfway through. "Wanna buy-"

"That Farrah Fawcet poster…"

"Wanna buy-"

"Some Pez dispensers and a toaster."

Gilbert had decided and, surprisingly, Mathias looked like he knew what he was dropped out for the next line, almost surprised by it, while Gilbert and Mathias continued. The former sat up to look over the table and the latter turned, both looking at Arthur. They tried to do it covertly. "Don't know why the kind of stuff you throw away, I'll buy on eBay." They hadn't meant for it to be harsh, only stating it. They knew Arthur had his own reasons. The other Nordics eyes widened, understanding. They sang the last line, Peter blinking, and saw Berwald mouthing with them, smiling slightly, "What I bought on eBay…"

The song ended and Gilbert pressed pause. The room was quiet, though some hadn't seen the look, and he looked around, meeting Arthur's eyes for a moment. The Englishman looked shocked. 'Didn't mean it that way.' He tried to say without saying anything. He would have to try messaging or calling the Brit later, either on his blog or on his phone.

Arthur nodded slightly, his eyebrows furrowing. Many nations had begun talking again, noise beginning to fill the room. Peter looked happy still which was good. He was talking with the Nordics.

Ludwig cleared his throat from the front of the room and the conversations died down. He looked towards Gilbert and glanced from Peter to the door. The older German nodded slightly, knowing he would have to tell his brother about his idea later, and stood. He motioned to peter. "Hey, do you want to play some video games?"

The micronation's face fell slightly, but the smile was back a moment later when he nodded. "Sure." Gilbird chirped happily from his shoulder as Peter stood and the two left the meeting room. Once outside Peters smile fell and Gilbert nudged him."We can prank them later." He whispered, smirking.

Peter laughed softly. "Okay."

AN: And... yeah. I'll start back up with the more serious chapters soon-ish hopefully. Let me know what you think.

Anyone else think that Artie and Gilbert would make good friends?
