Bobby sends me home a little past ten, after he put some food in me and he told me to go straight home. For once I listen and I'm relieved to see the police cruiser still sitting beside the house. Dad won't be home until after five and sometimes Sam doesn't get home until four. I reach inside my pants pocket and dial Jo's number. She's going to be pissed at me. She doesn't like when I keep her waiting. When she answers the phone I don't even give her time to yell at me, "Hey, so listen maybe I should have called you earlier but can you blame me? So just don't be mad alright?" I stand in my living room waiting for her to answer and after a minute when it becomes apparent that she isn't going to I trudge on. "Come on Jo; don't give me the silent treatment."

"I don't think that's entirely her fault Dean."

"Listen just hand the phone to Jo, I'm sure she's not to happy with a random bar patron stealing it." the man laughs and I hate the it sounds. His laugh sounds empty.

There's a commotion in the background and a muffled scream. "I told you I'd kill everyone you love."

"Why?"

When the man answers he sounds too nonchalant, like he's holding back something. "Because no matter what, it was Castiel who killed my father, and I know it."

"Castiel? What does he have to do with anything?" my mind kept racing for an answer but none came to me. I felt like it was right there, just out of reach.

The man laughed and I could hear the anger and the crazy tone to it, "Because I'm his big brother, We were all named after angels. Michael the just, Gabriel the messenger, and Castiel angel of Thursday and warrior of God. Do you think that fits Dean? Is Cassie a warrior for God? I think maybe not." The man was getting somewhere, he was building up for something, and I don't think I had it to be anything good.

"But I was named after the brightest of them all. The one who loved God the most. Don't you think that's fitting?"

I didn't know a lot about heaven and angels but I knew the angel he was describing, "Lucifer."

"Ah so you do know something." There was a muffled sob and suddenly loud screaming. Dean knew that it belonged to Jo. "So since you know that, try and guess what happens next."

Jo was whimpering now, trying to hold in her sobs. "Please, I'll do anything."

"Oh I know you will, but first, sweetheart," he was talking to her now, "Could you do me a favor? I want you to repeat after me. Now make sure you say it loud enough so that your dear best friend can hear you."

"Go to hell."

There was the sound of someone getting hurt and I yelled at him to stop, "Haven't you heard? I'm already there. Now, repeat after me."

I could hear him set the phone done and then I heard more yelling, most of it was Jo screaming at him to stop. "Mom! Mom please! Please not my mom." There were other things said but I couldn't hear them, and then, "It's all your fault Dean." Jo's voice carried clear into the receiver. Her voice shook but Dean could hear every word, "If you thought that you could save you boyfriend, redeem him, and that all of this would be alright. You were wrong. You did this. You killed- please no, DEAN! DEAN HELP PLEASE! YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND AND I LOVE YOU! MOM!" Dean could hear the panic in her voice, he could hear just how strained she was. Then he couldn't hear anything but two loud thumps hitting the floor.

"Jo? Ellen?" I clutched my phone tighter against my ear, hoping that I could hear something. But all I got was silence, and then finally, the line went dead. Jo? Ellen?

I have to do something; I have to call the police.

I pick my phone back up, but then I remember that I have a police car sitting right outside.

As soon as I run outside the deputy opens his car door, "What is it? What's wrong?"

I try to answer, but instead all that happens is that my hands begin to shake and my phone falls out of my hands and onto the gravel. "Jo, Ellen."

"What about them?" he bends down and hands me back my phone, when I look at his face I see kind eyes staring back at me and it helps calm me down.

I swallow a big gulp of air, "He killed them."

The deputy instantly goes into action, calling dispatch and sending a patrol out to the Roadhouse. And after he makes all the necessary calls he sits me down and asks me a ton of questions. "His name is Lucifer, Lucifer Novak."

There's a look in the deputies eyes, disbelief, but he grabs his walkie talkie again and walks far enough away so that I can't hear him. There's a hard set in his jaw and he shakes his head over and over again, like he can't believe what he's hearing. "Alright," he offers me a hand and I stand back up, "We're going to need to talk you down to the station to get an official statement."

"Are Jo and Ellen…?" I can tell, even with him not answering me, that he answered me. "So he killed them."

"We're going to have to leave now."

"What about Sam?"

The deputy guides me to his car and I sit in the passenger seat, "We'll have a car pick him up when he gets out of school. We'll bring him to the station."

"Alright."
