I was right; there were no police cars outside the warehouse where I had my dream, only a beaten down truck. I don't know if that's his car, but it's worth a shot. I grab my dad's shotgun out of the passenger seat and step out into the fading light. It would be dark soon.

As I neared the door I noticed the dirt around the entrance was disturbed, I could make out two different shoe prints and I had to hope and pray that Sam was fine. "If that bastard harms one long hair on his head…" the doors squeaked when I opened them and that's fine. I want him to know I'm here. "Sam!" I call out and I hear a noise towards the back of the room. I can barely see in all the shadows but as my eyes adjust to the light I see my little brother standing against a wall, his hands chained to a post.

"Dean!" I calls out to me and I start to run to him but stop when I see someone step out of the shadows from behind him.

He's tall and blonde, "Hello Dean." I know his voice.

"Lucifer." I spit out his name and he smiles. "Let my brother go."

"Why would I do that?" he pulls out a long knife from his pants and examines the handle. "He's such a nice boy, and after all," Lucifer drags the knife down the side of Sam's arm and Sam jerks back as far as he can, "You have my brother. Wouldn't you call that an even trade?" while he's looking down I take a few steps closer.

I'm only ten feet away when Lucifer snaps his head back up and he smirks at me. "What's so funny?"

"Of course you called him here?"

"Who?" who could I have called here? But my question is answered when I feel Castiel's hand against my back.

I look back and see that he has that same wild look in his eyes that he had when we first met. He looked like he was capable of anything. "Hello brother."

"Long time."

I thought you were dead." There was no remorse in Cas's voice, "I guess I should have made sure."

"You probably should have." For the first time I notice a pale scar running across the length of Lucifer's neck. "Baby brother, it's so nice to see you here." And then I was being knocked to the side and I heard Sam shout my name and a shining object flying past me.

I looked up from the ground to see that Lucifer and Cas were closer to each other now, circling each other like dogs before a fight. While they were distracted I crawled over to Sam and I tried to free him. "Dean." I looked up at him and I was surprised to see how calm he was. "Do you have a knife?" I shook my head and I leaned down against him.

"I'm so sorry Sam." I could hear the fight behind me, I couldn't tell who was winning and I didn't care. I just had to get my brother out of here.

There was a hand on my back and I fell down. "How do you think no one has seen me for the past twenty years? Because everyone that ever gets to see me dies." Lucifer raises his knife and brings it down. I brace myself, for the pain, for nothing. I open my eyes to see him squatting over me, his knife just above my heart. "Look over there." He gestures with his head and I turn as much as I can.

Cas is lying on the ground, I can't tell if he's breathing or not and my heart jumps, "You're a bastard."

The tip of the blade cuts through my shirt and I feel the sting of it against my skin, "No, I know who my father was. My father was great and he was just and it was Castiel's fault he died." I look back up at him and I know that I'm not hiding the fear in my eyes. "Castiel had always liked driving, and father said that he would take them for a drive in the country, just the two of them. Castiel was always his favorite; he was always dad's best son. Even though he never did a damn thing he was told to do." I felt the blade sink deeper into my skin and I bit back a whimper. "The car flipped, dad died and Castiel wasn't even hurt. He didn't have so much as a scratch." I could feel the warmth of my blood start to stain my shirt. "Now tell me, does that seem fair?"

I shook my head and he seemed to have lost his patience and I felt him press more weight onto me and then suddenly he was gone. I could hear Castiel screaming at him and Lucifer laughing. "You know what the cops said!" Castiel was shouting, "Dad died protecting me!" I propped myself up and Sam that they were standing in front of each other now. "Why couldn't I ever be good enough for you? For Michael? Or Grabriel? Even Balthazar looked at me like I was nothing more than a burden."

"The first thing you ever did in this life was kill mother!" Lucifer shouted.

"She died in childbirth you selfish bastard!" Lucifer snarled and launched himself at Castiel but I jumped up and shoved him away. "Dean!" Cas caught my arm before I could hit his brother. "Stop, you'll hurt yourself." He pulled me close to him and I felt Lucifer's eyes on my back.

"How sweet."

I pulled away and faced him; he looked like he was ready to burst. "You won't win brother."

"Don't be so sure about that." And then he was back beside Sam, his knife somehow back in his hand I felt my blood run cold. "Now Dean, I know that he's all you have left." Sam eyes the knife pressed to his throat. "Just how far would you be willing to go to save the only family you have left?"

"Cas is my family too." The knife pressed closer to Sam's throat and I could see a bead of blood beginning to trickle down Sam's skin. I heard him suck in his breath and I felt my hands tighten into fists. "Stop."

"I will." I could see the wheels working in Lucifer's brain and I came to a realization that he had come up with a plan. I don't think I was going to like it. "I'll let you and your brother go, and I'll never harm you again. If," he looked at Castiel, at the way our hands were unconsciously touching. "If you do one thing for me."

"Don't toy with us Lucifer."

"Brother you should know that I have never lied to you."

"What is it you want?"

"Dean you can't be seriously considering this?" Sam spoke up, he looked brave.

"I can't let you get hurt." I looked back up at Lucifer, who was starting to look bored, "What do you want me to do?"

He smiled now, and I felt something twist in the pit of my stomach. "Kill Castiel."
