Yay! Now I will write a chapter. No duh. JUST WATCHED DIVERGENT PREMIERE! AMAZING! It's super super good. Anyhoo, here I go.
Caspar's Pov:
Huh. It's kinda awesome floating. Reyna has quit screaming, and now there's kind of a sense of almost peace. Rain pouring down our faces, lightning and thunder cracking around us. And me holding Reyna, floating in the air. Not the most likely scene I could see myself being in, but hey, it's pretty cool. Then Reyna breaks the silence between us.
"Hey, Caspar, please explain to me why you didn't just float us over the dang cliffs before we started climbing."
"I didn't know I could fly."
She looks at me. "Wait, Jason didn't tell you you could do that?
"Uh, no. Wait, he can do that too?"
"Yeah. Of course. I can't believe he didn't tell you!"
"Hmm. Oh well." I realize we're still floating, and I fly us over to the other side.
Reyna sighs, and says, "If only we had known you could do that before."
"Yeah, but everything is all good now. You know, I guess now we don't really have to walk, do we? I mean, as long as you don't mind being carried the whole way." My cheeks turn a little red when I say the last part.
Reyna laughs, and says, "No no, it's fine."
"Oh, okay." I'm feelin' a little awkward right now. Reyna literally just said that she didn't mind being carried the whole way to this 'school of nature.'
"Wait, where is this school thingy? I mean, I've never heard of it," I ask her.
Her eyes widen, and she says, "Shoot. I have no idea."
"Well, I guess I could fly up and see if I can spot anything."
"Sure, good idea."
I nod, and shoot up way above the treeline. Reyna gasps at the view, and I scan the landscape for any sign of a school. I don't see anything. Then Reyna pulls out some binoculars from her satchel.
"Why do you have binoculars?"
"You never know. They could come in handy at any time. Like now."
"I'm pretty sure regular binoculars won't help that much."
"These aren't regular though. They're high powered, can see up to 50 miles away, and it looks like the image is right in front of you."
"Wow. I'm impressed. Go ahead and see if you can spot anything with those."
She looks through them, and says, "Oh crap. I see it, that's for sure. But it's probably...ummm, I'd say about 30 miles away. And right now, it's 12:00, sooo, we'd better hurry our butts up."
What! 12:00! It's already that late! I guess time flies when you're almost dying with a cute girl. I blink, and think wait, did I just say 'cute girl?' That's weird. I try to push it to the back of my head, and I realize we've got to start flying now if we're going to get to Jason before this "stormy eyed one" does. Whoever that is.
I start flying, using Reyna as a guide so I know where to go to get to the school.
I think about Jason while I fly. Why did he leave in the first place? It couldn't have been by choice. Right? He must have been taken. Whoever wrote the note knows where he is obviously. But who even wrote it? When I got it, it was literally floating out of the sky. So, I'm pretty sure it wasn't one of the campers. And this "stormy eyed one." They must know where Jason is too. But I don't know anyone who has "stormy" eyes. I'm pretty sure the same thing goes for Jason. And if they knew Jason, why would they want to take him? Ugh. All these questions. They kind of make my head hurt. I need to focus on flying anyways.
Reyna checks her watch and says, "Shoot. It's 12:40. We've got 15 miles done. We gotta up the pace, okay Casp?"
I nod, and determinedly say, "Okay, got it." I will the winds to take me faster, and I can feel us speed up way faster. The wind on my face stings from flying so fast. Reyna is feeling it too, I can tell. She starts squinting, and I can see her eyes are watering. Then she buries her head in my chest because it stings so much. Or, maybe, for another reason. That is really awkward. I tried not to react to it, but I think my heart is beating a mile a minute. I seriously hope she can't feel it. That would make it even more awkward for me.
To break the awkward silence, I ask, "How far are we now?"
"Um, we are at...28 miles!" But then she checks her watch. Her eyes take on a frantic look, and she yells, "Crap crap crap! It just turned 12:59!"
"No no no no no. Shoot!" I will myself even faster, and I see the school. It looks like they're getting attacked down there.
"Okay, only 1/2 a mile left!"
I see Jason's hair first. It stands out like a gold beacon down there. I guess now I can see why whoever wrote the note called him the "the golden one." I also see some Mexican guy with curly hair falling over the edge of a skywalk, and Jason slashing with his sword at a guy who looks like he's literally made out of storms. Wait, what if the "stormy eyed one" is him? He looks pretty bad donkey. (Haha get that? Remember, I never swear! I've never sworn on purpose in real life anyways.)
Reyna lets out a choked sound, and I look behind Jason. I see a dark haired girl who looks like she could be Native Indian. But what's really surprising is that she seems to be acting like she and Jason are dating. Probably why Reyna's practically dying.
