Chapter 9: THE 'WHEN OUR UNIVERSE IS ON THE OTHER SIDE' HALLOWEEN SPECIAL!
A stage lights up as a red curtain opens to reveal a man in a black hood with his arms behind his back. "Good evening and welcome to the chapter." He says in an echoing voice. He pulls out an hourglass filled with red sand and speaks as the sand falls to the bottom. "The time you're spending to read this is much appreciated." The hourglass disappears in a puff of smoke as his arms return to his back. "The traditions in tonight's chapter are real traditions that where added to the holiday of Halloween. The location of the plot point and story however where fabricated by the author. Please enjoy and remember to review at the end if you feel like it." Smoke appears from the hood and falls to the ground as the curtains closes.
"Raaaaawr!" A boy wearing a hockey mask screamed. "AAAAAAH!" Skywarp yelled and turned to run only to be met with a pair of white eyes with black pupils and black hair. "Skywarp" It said in a creepy manner. "AAAAH!" He screamed again and out of fear flew through the ceiling.
The boy and girl looked up, the boy taking off the hockey mask and girl taking off the black hair. "Hmm…should have seen that coming." The girl said. "LOOK VAT YOU DID!" Both children looked up to see Hothead yelling at them through the new hole. "Ve just fixed zat!" He yelled again.
"Sorry Blitz, me and Jeremiah where just seeing if our costumes are scary, but now that I think about it, wearing half completed costumes in front of the coward will get the same result as wearing normal cloths. And that's him screaming." Destiny said.
Blitzwing switched to Icy. "Why are jou two dressed zat way?" he asked. Both humans looked at him with wide smiles. "Where dressed like this because tomorrows…HALLOWEEN!" Both screamed. Blitzwing almost feel through the hole due to their high-pitched screams.
Prowl, Blurr, and Bumblebee walked in. "Hey um, why is Skywarp on the roof in the fetal position?" Bumblebee asked. Both humans looked away. "Um…. we might have tested our costumes on him." Jeremiah said. Prowl rubbed his helm in annoyance while Blurr was looking at the hole. "Let-me-guess-, I-fix-it?" He asked. Everyone in the room nodded, Blurr threw is helm back and let out a loud groan, before running up the stairs and began fixing the hole.
"Costumes? Wait is it Halloween?" Bumblebee asked. Both humans nodded. "Sweet! So what are you guys going to be!?" Bumblebee asked while jumping excitedly.
"I'm going to be Jason! From the Friday the 13th movies!" Jeremiah said putting his hockey mask back on.
"I'm gonna be Jeff the killer! GO TO SLEEP!" Destiny said while pulling out a prop knife and making slashing motions in the air.
Bumblebee looked at them with an amused smile while Prowl gave them a blank stair. "Vat is Halloween?" Blitzwing asked as he jumped from the currently being fixed hole.
"Halloween is the time of the year when people wear costumes, like at the conventions, except when people wear them its to scare, and to get lots of candy." Jeremiah said.
"Ya, and its one of our favorite holidays because of all the traditions that came together to make it." Destiny continued with a smile on her face. "Yeah like one story about a guy named Jack that tricked the devil into climbing a tree, and when the devil couldn't get down he cursed Jack to walk the earth forever with a turnip lantern." Jeremiah said.
"Ya, but now a days we use Pumpkins and call them Jack-o lanterns. In fact the most common face for a Jack-O-lantern is similar to your face Random." Destiny said while pointing to Blitzwing who switched to Random, who clapped his hands in response. "You guys should dress up!" Jeremiah said.
"I'd rather not." Prowl said
A little later on the group was able to calm Skywarp down and began carving pumpkins.
"Okay, now that the pumpkin guts are out you can carve a face in it." Destiny said. Everyone started carving the faces or things into the pumpkin. They talked Thundercracker into participating. So as expected he carved his own face into the pumpkin.
Skywarp carved a kitty cat. Prowl carved his pumpkin in nine swipes, he carved a flower. Bumblebee and Blurr attempted and failed at carving a car into there pumpkins. Blitzwing. Destiny, and Jeremiah had the standard Jack-O-lantern face.
"Hey ya know what we should do?" Destiny said "We should go somewhere supper scary tomorrow night." The bots turned to her as she gave an evil smile. "S…. scary!" Skywarp screams, getting up ready to leave when Thundercracker yanked him down by the shoulder.
"Yeah, after we go trick or treating we can go to a haunted house, or the Queen Mary or-" She stopped talking when she saw Skywarp whimpering. She decided not to continue…for now.
-HALLOWEEN NIGHT!
The bots had set there holo-forms to have costumes that where selected by there human friends. Prowl was dressed as Snake eye from GI Joe for obvious reasons. Blurr was dressed as Speed Racer; he has a crush on the Mock 5. Thundercracker chose to stay as himself because "Someone as amazing as me shouldn't have to disguise myself." Skywarp dressed as a lion, aww how cute a cowardly lion. Bumblebee dressed as a vampire, but not just any vampire, he dressed as Jiro Mochizuki from Black Blood Brothers, and Blitzwing was dressed as a Nazi Zombie, he got the idea from watching "Dead Snow". And as stated earlier Destiny dressed as Jeff the Killer and Jeremiah dressed as Jason Voorhees.
"You guys look great." Jeremiah said while tucking his prop machete in a strap on his pants. "Don't you think they look good?" He asked his sister. She didn't respond. She was to busy drooling over Prowl. "I guess I should have told him she had a thing for Snake Eye too." He mumbled under his breath.
"Can you make her stop? The face make up and costume makes her 'idolizing face' look creepy." Bumblebee asked. Jeremiah nodded. "Hey you're supposed to stay in character, and Jeff doesn't drool over guys." Jeremiah stated. Destiny just pulled off the wig and said, "No wig, no costume, cant be in character."
A little while later they all went out and started trick or treating around there gated community. People stopped and marveled at the realism of each costume and most kids wanted to take pictures with them. Some examples would be a girl dressed, as Dorothy wanted to take a picture with Skywarp the cowardly lion. And some boys who where dressed in military pants and black muscle shirts with fake stubble wanted pictures with Prowl.
Towards 9:00 they decided to call it a night, since the candy the robots got would be given to there human friends they didn't need to stay out any longer. Right as they where going to walk into their lane someone spoke up. "Wait!" They all turned to see Blurr. "What's wrong Blurr?" Jeremiah asked. Blurr shifted in his spot for a moment before continuing. "I-kinda-want-to-do-something-interersting-like-wh at-was-it-called?... A…haunted-house?" Blurr asked trying to see if he was saying it right. Destiny cleared her throat.
"Well…there are some haunted houses here. In fact there used to be a house I bought candy from as a kid. It got burned but re-built, there should be some nice scary things there." She said while walking to Blurr. "You interested Zippy?" She said with a toothy grin. Blurr nodded and looked at the others "What-do-ya-guys-think? Want to-give-it-a-try?"
"Slag yeah!" Bumblebee and Blitzwing yelled and walked to Blurr. "Anyone else?" Destiny chanted. Prowl sighed. "Might I remind you it's a school night." He said trying to defuse the fun. Destiny and Jeremiah chuckled.
Jeremiah just patted Prowl on the back. "Nice try dude, when Halloween is on a school night, we don't go to school the next day, mom and dad are tired from Halloween parties and me and Destiny are coming down from sugar highs." He said as he walked next to Blurr, Blitzwing and Bumblebee. Prowl rubbed and temple and wondered how he ended up in situations like this. He walked towards the mini group deciding it was better to stay with them to make sure they didn't break anything.
That left Skywarp and Thundercracker. "Hmmm…. I accept only to prove that nothing your pathetic universe can scare me nay make me quiver." He said as he walked beside the group. Skywarp was left standing alone and shaking before running after the group and screaming. "WAIT FOR ME!"
After a ten-minute walk they approached a house. It's windows where boarded up and door marked with a black X. Hothead kicked down the door. "Pft, if I where human I would get a job kicking down doors." He said before taking a peek in and walking into the house. The mini group walked in as the robots deactivated their holo-forms. Destiny walked to the living room and started setting up candles. "Hey Bee light these up will ya." She said pointing to the candles.
Bumblebee aimed his stinger at each candle and hit the wicks, lighting the candles. "Now sit in a circle my children and I will tell you the story of this house." Destiny said as she pulled a pint of salt out of her trick or treat bag and made a circle with it.
All the bots and Jeremiah sat in the circle of sat as the organic female stood in next to Prowl and Skywarp, holding a turnip lantern under her face, giving it an ominous glow. Bumblebee and Skywarp began to shake slightly.
"Six years ago, when I was twelve, this house used to hold a family, a loving mother and father and six lovely children-"
"Wait, six?" Thundercracker interrupted. Destiny sighed. "Listen they where a Mexican family, meaning lots of babies." She said. "Yeah but you and your brother are Mexican and-" Thundercracker tried to continue. "Listen I have three older sisters and a younger brother, Jeremiah. That's five kids now shut it!" She said as she threw a candle at him. He sighed in anger but let her continue.
"Now as I was saying. There where six kids and two loving parents. The parents sold candies and other goodies out of their house to get extra cash." She paused for a moment to let them absorb the story. "One day when the parents told there children to throw away the empty boxes of candy while they bought more, when the parents left the eldest child thought it would be a good opportunity to play with fire." She took out an empty box of 'DOTS' and a lighter. "When the parents came back the fire department was putting out the flames. They found six bodies sitting around a trash can filled with charred candy boxes." She lit the empty box of 'DOTS' and set it down as everyone stared at it. She looked to see everyone's faces when the mini flame blew out. Most where amused and most where terrified. "After the fire the parents moved away and the house was rebuilt. I used to walk past the house out of habit. Sometimes I saw people running around…like right NOW!" She pointed at the door way and six silhouette ran past the doorway. Skywarp screamed and tackled Thundercracker for comfort.
"Warp! Calm down it was only a trick! See!" She said running to door way and grabbing a hologram projector. "See I set it up when we came in. It's okay Warp." Skywarp was still holding Thundercracker but he was calming down. "So…the story isn't real?" He asked.
She chuckled nervously. "Well yes and no. You see was a family that lived here, and when I was younger I did buy candy from here and there was a fire, but they didn't know what caused the fire and I think only one died." She said patting his head. All of a sudden they heard a loud crash. They looked at the stairs and gave it a questionable look. "Destiny st-stop th-that, your scaring Skywarp." Thundercracker said his voice shaking.
"I'll-go-check-it-out." Blurr said before running up the stairs. After a few minuets he didn't come down. "Blurr?" Jeremiah said while walking towards the stairs. Bumblebee grabbed him by the shoulder. "Hey don't go up there alone! Run of scary movies never let anyone go alone! Especially after one person is gone!" He said while waving his arms around. "Calm down Bee Boy," Destiny said giving him a new nickname. "I'll go see what's taking him so long." She said. She walked up the stairs.
When she got up there it was completely dark. She walked a few feet before stopping in front of an old rusted pipe. She picked it up just as percussion. She continued forward and saw light coming from one of the rooms. Cautiously she opened the door and saw a tall figure looking at her. It reached its hand out but she hit it with the pipe. "AAAAAAH!" She hit it again and ran only turning to throw the pipe at the figures head.
She ran down screaming. "OUT OUT!" She screamed while running behind Blitzwing. "We gotta get out of here now!"
"Vhy?" Icy asked. She pointed to the shadow of someone walking down the stairs, the figure was groaning and moaning in pain and it trudged down the stairs. "KILL IT!" Hothead screamed while firing up his cannons. Thundercracker and Bumblebee charged up their weapons as well ready to fire.
"What…WAIT-IT'S-ME-BLURR!" Screamed the figure. The figure stepped into the light to confirm it was Blurr. "Blurr…WHAT THE HELL MAN! YOU SCARED EVEYONE WHATS YOUR PROBLEM!?" Destiny screamed. "What's my problem? What's your problem!? You hit me over the head!" Blurr yelled back before covering his mouth. "Did…did he just talk at a normal pace?" Jeremiah asked. "I think you hit him so hard you slowed down the part of his processor that lets him speak." Prowl stated.
"This is all your fault." Blurr said. He was currently lying down, getting a self-diagnostic. He would be talking at normal pace in a few hours. "I said I was sorry, you scared me." Destiny said.
"SHAME! You destroyed what makes Blurr, Blurr!" Jeremiah screamed while pointing at his sister. "I shall make sure you watch Endgame part 2 and Beast Wars Code of the hero over and over again! Until your tear ducts shrivel away!" He said.
Smoke appeared and the man in the black hood reappeared. "I see you read this chapter to the end. I thank you for that." He said. He then removed the hood in an over dramatic fashion and revealed to be Prowl. The red curtain behind him opened and the rest of the bots where standing, each taking a bow. "We would like to thank you for reading this!" Bumblebee said pushing Prowl out of the way. "Make…make sure your parental units check you…sugar coated nuggets." Skywarp said while taking the stage. "And-don't-worry-I-wasn't-harmed-to-bad-in-this-ch apter!" Blurr said while rubbing his helm. "HAVE A GOOD NIGHT!" They all screamed as the room went dark again.
Not how I wanted this chapter to be. But I'm happy with it :) Really late update but its an update. ^^
