Chapter 79

Leifang tapped her foot up and down as she looked down on her wristwatch, blowing the long paper charm, that was hanging down from her hat, out of her face. What was taking so long?

"Hurry up!" she called out to her girlfriend.

"I am!" came the answer from the bedroom. "I just need to adjust this thing the right way."

"You'll look great either way I'm sure." Leifang said more to herself than to Hitomi and looked down on her black painted fingernails and the paler color of her hand. It was the end of October. Halloween to be exact. Viktor had told them that there was a Halloween party in some bar that he knew and asked if they wanted to join for a fun evening.

He didn't need to ask twice, since with her upcoming talk with her father in roughly two weeks she could need a little breather from studying and deciding what she should play on that day.

A week after her mother and her had talked she called her up and told her that she would indeed play something on her father's event. Though up until now she had no idea what she should play and time was starting to run out.

So she hoped that an evening where she could simply relax would help her.

The party had just one little catch: they needed to come in costumes. Good thing Viktor had told them beforehand, because otherwise she would have had to get herself one of those very cheap costumes.

But lucky for her she managed to get a rather reasonable prized Chinese assemble complete with hat, all in black with red trimming and a yellow sash around her waist that was bound into a big tie in the back.

She had spent the better part of the last hours inside the bathroom, apply the fitting make up to make her look very pale, adding a few black veins to her face and hands, as well as where her legs where showing to get the look perfectly right.

She even made a small paper charm to hang in front of her face!

The perfect costume.

Now if only her girlfriend would finally get dressed. The Chinese was about to call out again when Hitomi finally came out of their bedroom, dressed in what must have been the cutest AND sexiest little angel costume of all time. It showed a good amount of skin. A bare midriff, a small white-golden wing patterned top that did wonders for Hitomi's cleavage, a tiny skirt with hearts on its belt and a pair of golden strapped-heels on her feet. That must be the first time she saw the German wear shoes like that. They looked nice on her.

But the costume wouldn't be complete without a pair of cute angel wings on her back, attached to the top from what she could see, and golden halo over her head, bobbing with every step she took.

"Just admit it, I look damn sexy." Hitomi winked and struck a little pose.

"You look great, yeah." Leifang said.

Hitomi smiled and looked her over as well. Her look became puzzled. "Is that some kind of dark priestess outfit?"

"I'm a Jiang Shi."

"Uh, bless you."

Leifang sighed and gave her a look. Rolling her eyes she said "A Chinese Zombie."

"You got your own Zombies?"

"Well it's actually not a Zombie per se but that isn't important right now. Viktor has already been knocking on the door, asking when we're ready." she told her. "He recognized my costume, by the way." she added.

"Yah, but that's Viktor. He's kinda living for trivial knowledge. So I'm ready. Can you take my wallet? I don't have any pockets on this."

"Already done." Leifang smiled and held up her handbag, patting it in emphasis.

"Great, then let's go before Viktor really starts knocking down our door."

The couple left the apartment and Hitomi walked over to her friend's door and knocked on it. It didn't take long for Viktor to open it and revealing himself, wearing a strange looking red and blue spandex suit with some strange grey net pattern on it.

"Took you long enough." he said.

"Perfection needs time." Hitomi said and put her hands on her hips. "And what are you supposed to be?"

"Really?" he asked and gave her a look as if she grew a second head as well as three more legs. He pulled out a mask that had same color and pattern, putting it on and completely covering his face with it. "I'm the goddamn Spiderman!"

"Nope, doesn't ring a bell."

Viktor looked over to Leifang-

"Uh, sorry?"

-and sighed in defeat.

"You two impress me time and again. The guy even has movies based on him but you somehow manage to still not know him. That's a talent right there."

"Vik?"

"Yeah?"

"Can we go?"

"Was just waiting for you girls." he said and closed the door.

"Uhm, didn't you forget your keys?" Leifang asked.

"Pfft, got them right here." he said and patted his right hip. "The pocket is inside the costume, how cool is that?"

And with that said the trio left the building towards their destination. This October had been very warm thus far, so Hitomi, who was showing the most skin today, didn't have to worry about getting cold later.

It wasn't very far, and the place they were going was all too familiar to the young Karateka.

"So here we are." Hitomi said, laughing to relieve herself of the uneasiness she felt.

"Yeah, don't worry your pretty little head about it. It's cool and Marina's already waiting inside." Viktor said and entered the bar, leaving Hitomi and Leifang standing outside.

"Are you alright?" the Chinese asked.

"Yeah, just feels strange being here again. It was here where I got into that fight." Hitomi told her. "God, it feels like so long ago now."

Leifang frowned for a moment. So it was here...

She couldn't help but feel partly responsible for what happened. After all if she hadn't been running away to figure out what she felt it might have never come to that. But they both made mistakes at the time and she knew that they would still make them in the future. The only thing they could do was see them through together.

Leifang grasped Hitomi's hand and smiled. "Let's go in."

Hitomi nodded. "Yeah."

Entering they soon found that the place was already buzzing with people and the couple kept to following Viktor, who seemed to know where he was going, leading them past a few tables until they arrived at a small corner booth where Leifang spotted a girl about their age with very long black hair, dressed in some kind of white and blue colored dress that looked like it could have come straight out of the 19th century. A few blood splatters stained the white front part of the dress and she was currently playing with a dangerous-looking and equally bloodstained plastic knife.

As she noticed them approach she smiled and got up from her seat, throwing her arms around Viktor's neck.

"Took you long enough Spidey, I had to threaten a few people with bodily harm to hold these for you guys." she turned to Hitomi and Leifang.

"Hey."

"Hi"

"Hello."

"That's Marina." Viktor introduced her to Leifang.

"His Ex-ex-girlfriend." Marina added and held out her hand towards Leifang, who grasped it in turn for a firm handshake. "And you must be Leifang. Vik here told me A LOT about you. Mostly how hot it was that you girls were together."

"Yeah," Leifang gave Viktor a pointed look. "Sounds about right. Well, nice to meet you."

"Same here." Marina nudged Viktor in the side with the plastic knife. "That's your cue to get the drinks big guy."

Hitomi and Leifang didn't need to see his eyes to know that he was rolling them. "Why do I put up with this?" he muttered after having asked the girls want they wanted and walking towards the bar.

"Because of my incredible charm." Marina said to the girls and they shared a laugh while sitting down.

"That's an Alice in Wonderland costume right?" Hitomi asked.

"Yeah, looks pretty cool, huh?"

"I dunno." Hitomi scratched the back of her head. "Wasn't Alice supposed to be a sweet, blonde kid instead of...well what you wear?."

"Ah tsk tsk. You're thinking too Disney here. The girl Alice was based on was brunette and the original books, in a way, had its own kind of twisted stuff in it. Though I figured since it's Halloween why not go for some extra edgy stuff so here I am, crazy psychopath Alice. Now tell me why the bloody 'ell is a raven like a writing desk!" she fake threatened them, with a cheesy mock Oxford accent to boot, making the girls laugh once more. "Your costumes look good too. Might have overdone it a little in the skin showing department Hitomi."

Hitomi shrugged. "I like it, it's cute."

Viktor returned with their drinks. Hitomi had decided to drink something alcoholic today too, but had already said she would leave it at one drink. The group clanked their drinks together.

"Where are Sven and Tim by the way?" Hitomi asked.

"Tim's got night shift, poor sod, and Sven...well he's Sven. No interest in something like Halloween at all." he stiffened when he looked to the side while lifting his glass to his lips. "Well look at that. A bunch of familiar faces."

The girls turned to look and Hitomi inhaled sharply as she saw the group of guys that she had beaten up stand at the bar. But then she exhaled calmly turning back with shrug. "What's done is done."

"So these are?" Leifang asked.

"The guys I beat up, yeah."

"I imagined them, I dunno, taller? Maybe a bit more threatening?"

"They were drunk, I was drunk and some words were said and friends nearly ganged," she took a sip from her drink. "I beat them up, they sued me. End of story. And I'm not gonna let this ruin the party mood."

"Maybe you should go over there, I'd like to see if they cower in fear." Viktor joked.

"As alluring as it sounds I think I'll pass. I'm beyond all that now." she said and took hold of Leifang's hand, giving it a squeeze. She also wanted to enjoy this time of relative peace before they would fly to China in a few weeks. Who knows how that might end?

Giving her girlfriend a smile she let go of her hand once more and leaned back in her seat. No matter how it would go, she would be there to support her.

"So what's on the agenda for the night, or are we're going to sit here all the time?"

"What, you wanna go Trick or Treating?" Marina asked with a grin.

"I bet I would get lot of candy." she tapped her halo.

Biting her lip Leifang said "I bet you would, but not for the reason you think."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Hitomi wanted to know, frowning in Leifang's direction. The Chinese in turn just leaned towards her and whispered in her ear.

"Because you're more 'hot' than 'cute' to me."

The way she said it send a small pleasant shiver down Hitomi's spine. "Is that so?"

"Mhm." Leifang nodded. "But how about we discuss that later tonight in private?"

"Alrighty." they broke apart again and turned back to the other couple, who were whispering as well. Noticing that Viktor looked at them strangely, well at least they thought he did, what with the mask and all.

"What? You get to whisper then we do too."

This made Hitomi and Leifang chuckle. This was going to be a fun night.

Giggling, the two girls all but stumbled back into their apartment, Hitomi kicking the door close behind them as she trailed a few kisses down the length of Leifang's neck, absentmindedly managing to flip the light switch as well. While Hitomi had kept to her word of leaving it at that one drink the older girl had become rather tipsy by the end of the evening after they had split from Viktor and Marina, who were going to her place after a long evening of partying. And while Hitomi didn't need to support her for them to get back they still had taken a bit of time because Leifang had become rather touchy-feely, not that Hitomi was minding it when Leifang gave her behind a firm squeeze.

"Did I ever tell you that you have a great butt?" Leifang purred into her ear, making her laugh.

"Only five times in the last twenty minutes."

"It's true though. But your butt doesn't hold a candle to these two." Leifang eyed her breasts rather openly before going in for another kiss.

Their lips locked, Hitomi led the Chinese back into their living room and sat her down onto the sofa, breaking the kiss at the same time, where the other girl promptly discarded the hat that she was wearing, the paper charm having been ripped off a long time ago.

Before Leifang could reach out to her Hitomi backed away with a playful grin. "Ah ah ah, not so fast."

"What?" Leifang asked with a grin of her own, trying to reach out for her again, but earning herself a small slap on the wrists.

"I never got to give you a reward for going along with all this, and I figured now would be the perfect opportunity." Hitomi said and walked over to her modest stereo, switching it on. Rather...sensual music started to play and Hitomi returned to stand in front of Leifang.

The Chinese was just about to say something when Hitomi started to sway her hips to the music and she knew instantly what the German had in mind, biting her lower lip as the first thing that went was the top of her costume, revealing that she was wearing a strapless bra underneath. Somehow she was a little disappointed at the revelation. She swallowed hard as Hitomi bent down and brought her face close to hers, her lips just a hair's breadth away from touching Leifang's.

"Enjoying the show so far?"

"Heh," The Chinese swallowed again and couldn't help but giggle the whole time. "Yeah, I do."

"Good, because this is only the beginning of what I have in mind for you." she said and pulled back, returning to move seductively to the music, turning around and spinning her hips in ways that left no imagination to just exactly she had in mind for them.

And as Hitomi asked her to pull down the skirt of her costume she was more than happy to obey.

Just a little breather until the real stuff starts next week mainly because I wanted to make good on those Halloween outfits. See next week then. :)
