Chapter 17: Always his!

2 months in Volterra!

Hero,

Pregnancy does not flatter me. I'm constantly ill and always tired. My only source of consolation right now is AJ. I've been ignoring Oliver's calls but I know I will have to tell him soon. AJ is the one for me and I want to be with him.

"Hey sweetness." Theodora grinned as she brought a tray of food to me.

"I love you." I groaned, reaching over to the ham and chesses sandwich.

She laughed. "Only 5 months left baby girl."

"I can't wait." I muttered.

"I was talking to the baby."

"Oh ha."

"Mum stop teasing Hero." AJ laughed as he walked into the room.

God, he is so handsome. His hair was coal black and just barely brushed his shoulders. His eyes were ruby red; I could tell he had just hunted. Tall, walked with maturity, he practically oozed confidence.

I locked onto his eyes and stayed there.

Theodora looked between the two of us.

"I'll leave you two alone." She said and slipped out.

"Hey." I whispered.

"How is the princess and the pea?" he grinned as he climbed carefully on the bed next to me.

"Pea is fine, princess is tired." I answered.

He laughed and wrapped his cold arms around me. I buried my face in his chest.

"I missed you." I mumbled.

"Missed you too."

"How was the hunt?" I asked, lifting my face from his chest to look up at him.

"We found a few more people to add to the guards, killed a few, no biggie." He answered.

"Yeah, no biggie." I said, burying my face in his chest again.

He sighed. "I didn't kill any Hero. I know you don't like it. I just went to the local hospital and drank some of the leftovers."

I looked up at him. "Really?"

"Anything for you." He mumbled into my hair.

We stayed in comfortable silence for a few moments.

"Have you told the human about me?" he suddenly asked.

I stiffened. "No."

He started to pull away from me.

His expression was like thunder.

"Why?" he growled.

"AJ, I can't bring myself to do it. He was there for me."

He stalked towards me, blood red eyes locked onto mine.

"Aren't I there for you?" he whispered.

I didn't answer.

"Look at me Hero."

His cool fingers tilted my chin up to look into his eyes.

"Am I not enough for you?" He asked.

"You are." I insisted.

"Then you have to choose Hero, it's either him or me." He snarled.

"But I don't know how." I whimpered.

He yanked my hair roughly and his lips crashed onto mine.

He pushed me back onto the bed and flipped us so I was on top of him.

All I could see, feel was him.

"Mine." He growled. Moving down to kiss my neck.

"Say it Hero."

"Yours," I whispered against his lips. "Always yours."

He released me with a smirk. "See how easy that was."
