||My god. This has gone on long enough. I'm honestly forcing myself to finish this because well, people actually want me to for some reason? And, OCD. I should finish what I've started I've forgot what is going on lmao. This chapter's gonna be a little short by the way, not a lot happens. Anyways, onward!||
Back at the castle, there was so much going on, it wasn't even worth explaining. Just know that... shit went down.
Links dad opened his eyes. He was standing in the middle of the throne room of Hyrule's castle, he appeared to be confused like he didn't know what was going on.
"Wh-... What have I been doing this whole time...? W-Where am I?" He questioned, trying to get his bearings.
He looked around, wondering where his son was. His rapid breathing was the only thing that could be heard throughout the giant room of the castle.
"L-Link...! Where are you?" He called out to his one and only child.
There was an ominous chuckle somewhere in the room. This got the father of the hero on his P's and Q's. He nervously looked around trying to identify the strange voice speaking to him.
"Who's there!? Show yourself, NOW!"
"So... You've awakened, general..~" The voice said slyly.
[-][-][-]
The five trumpeted as they were trying to make their way back to Hyrule castle.
"Guy's I'm so glad we're finally back together again!" Green smiled, looking at his counterparts and best friend.
They were at the base of Death Mountain, headed back to their home town.
"Honestly, when it comes to the Four Sword, it's best to stay four!... God, that was so cheesy, I could smell it." Bloo scowled, with a slight shudder.
Though he cringed at his own words, it's probably how he honestly felt and didn't want anyone to notice. Though, they could all see through his cover up,especially Vio and Gold.
"Say, guys, we haven't been together for a really long time. Is.. There anything else any of you wanna say...?" Red chirped happily, skipping along the path they walked on.
Green sighed, and walked ahead of the four of them, turning around to walk backwards and talk to them at the same time. He sighed, and scratched the back of his head.
"You know..? I'm finally able to appreciate being four instead of one. I feel much better being with all of you guys than just me and Gold." His face got a little hot.
"I feel the same way, though it's affected you all more that it has to myself. Just me watching the four of you has taught me to learn to respect myself and others!" Gold smiled.
They continued to walk. It was almost silent as the heroes thought of what they wanted to say to each other. Almost nothing could be heard as they walked but the soft crunching of leaves, and their soft breathing as they made their way through the forest like setting. The sun shone through the leaves, and everyone waited for everyone else to break the silence. After some time, Vio finally spoke up.
"Huh. I've always thought of myself as a clever guy that didn't really need the help from anyone else but myself." He paused, and looked at the rest of the group. "But, I learned that our warm passion for each other is more important than anything, and help from 5 is a lot better than me just doing everything on my own.
Red spoke up, as happy as ever.
"And here this whole time, I thought I was loosing strength little by little. I'm always being saved by you guys, even Gold. But, now what we've all been through, I can feel myself getting stronger and stronger!"
Everyone smiled at the optimist as they made their way through the forest. It was well lit, and pretty warm. For some reason, the area looked a bit familiar, though they were sure none of them had been here before. The bright one giggled.
"Huh. We've all become stronger in our own special way. Maybe, we should thank Shadow for this?"
Everyone laughed, once again. As they strolled leisurely, Miss Fairy made her way down from the sky to greet the heroes.
"So, looks like the five heroes have once again reunited!" If you could see er face, she would probably be smiling. "You all are just in time! Now, let us go!"
"W-Where to...?" Red questioned.
"To the four swords shrine!" Miss fairy squeaked, quickly fluttering to a few bushes not too far away.
The Links and Linkette followed close behind, only to see that when they pushed the bushes back, there it was! The very place they all met. The five gasped, looking at the Four Swords Shrine. No wonder the forested area looked so familiar.
"T-This is it." Green stuttered.
"Oh wow! This is where we all became four!" Red chirped.
They stood around the shrine, looking at the place where their swords once were. Suddenly, there was what seemed to a very bright light, and the five looked up, and there the six maidens were! As elegant as ever.
"The Six Maidens? Bloo asked, scratching his head."
"The power of the four sword. Who turn it's user into four when the seal is broken. Has allowed us to fully recover." The Blue Maiden spoke up.
"Now it is time for the six of us to connect the heavens with the earth so that the Heroes of Hyrule may climb the Sky Tower." Yellow Maiden continued.
"There, you will reach the caste of the winds, where you must save Princess Zelda!" The scarlet maiden finished.
"This time, it is our turn to join as one."
The six maidens said together, forming a circle around the five as they floated above them. As the Links and Gold stood close around the four swords pedistool, they looked around, only to see themselves surrounded by a large bright light, that beamed way up high, passed the tallest things in all of Hyrule, even Death Mountain. Slowly one by one, they were lifted off their feet, and began to ascend towards the heavens of Hyrule.
"The heavens and the Earth have now been connected."
"Look guys, we're finally doing it!" Gold cheered, as they quickly flew to the skies through the beam the six maidens created.
"Whelp, I guess it's time to save princess Zelda!"Red laughed.
"OH YEAH. LET'S GO" Bloo smiled, ready for action.
The maidens watched the heroes skyrocket to the heavens.
"It is your time, heroes. Defeat the darkness of the wind sorcerer, and save Princess Zelda." The Blue maiden said, as the connection between the heaven and the mortal realm slowly disintegrated.
The father of the hero walked around the wind palace, trying to get a clue of where he was at. Unlike most of the living people lived in Hyrule that were send to the shadow realm, he had somehow ended up here, in the wind palace. Very strange. He found himself in a large elegantly decorated room. It was also one of the highest pillars in the sky. He was of course, looking for his son, and daughter. Whom, he considered Gold to be one. He turned around, and to his surprise, Her Graciousness, Princess Zelda was standing there, not too far away! He ran to her, almost emotion to find that the lovely princess was okay. He fell to his knees, and took one, in her honor, head bowed.
"P-Princess Zelda!" He exclaimed, his head own low.
The reincarnation smiled to him, with a slow nod.
"Noble General of knights. I am so glad to see that you're alright." She beamed genuinely, crossing her arms.
"The same to you, my lady! Nothing is more important right now than your safety! But If I may ask, what exactly are you doing here...? I myself have no idea of what's truly going on. Do you think you could shed some light on my, so that I may be able to help out?" He asked, still on one knee, before her.
The princess sighed, and turned a bit away from the father of the chosen hero.
"This... Is the inside of the tower that connects the wind palace to the heavens. General, we have been trapped in the hands of evil for some time now. Unfortunately, it is the same evil that has been after your son, and Gold. It is the same evil that has caused Hyrule to fall into darkness as well. And it will not stop until all the world falls into chaos.
"M-My son! S-So then Link and Gold are...?"
The Knight paused for a moment. His breathing grew choppier, and he found that he didn't know what to say. He knew better than to think that they were dead, though.
"...What has happened.." He said, almost defeated in a way.
"Darkness has taken Links form, and should be headed this way. It is probably after us now." Zelda continued. "The entire tower has been lost within evil. At this rate, the entirety of Hyrule could be lost for good as well! She said, concern growing in her eyes.
"Hm. As Hyrule's noble knight, I promise you, I shall have this evil destroyed, before your very eyes!" The knight said with such courage.
This princess bowed her head once again, a small grin on her face and she giggled with her hands placed together.
"Oh, of course..~ Such.. Courage you bestow. Of course, it's honestly no wonder your son and even Gold has so much to spare! What an amazing person, and being in general. Since this is such a hard task, trying to rid the world of evil and what not... Take this...~ It's a little gift from me, to help aid you on your way of bringing back peace to Hyrule.~"
The princess smiled ear to ear, as she held out a large helmet, big enough for the knights head to fit through. Strangely enough, this helmet almost resembled the helmet of the phantom knight Green fought in the Great Pyramid of the Gerudo desert. As the noble knight slowly lifted his head to see what she was holding, he gasped, and stepped back a little. He was a smart man and saw through Zelda's trick. He recognized the fact that it was a helmet, only worn by ones that fought to spread darkness all over Hyrule.
"Y-You are not Princess Zelda! Who are you, and who do you think you are?!" He demanded, staggering back.
But it was too late. Zelda cackled, and slammed the helmet onto the knights head, and saw his eyes go blank. Like all of his memories were being erased, and he was being brainwashed. The knight grunted and struggled to try and take the helmet off with all his might. But a bit after, he stopped. He stood straight, facing the 'princess' and slowly taking out his sword. The fraud of the princess smiled, and snapped her fingers. Instantly, the knight replied, standing tall. This princess laughed evilly.
"Now, this is more like it. My very own slave, and someone important to the little brats as well!"
No reply from the poor brainwashed father. 'Zelda' Thought for a moment, wondering how she should finish the annoying twats off. She smirked, and ordered for the night to listen, carefully, which she didn't get a reply, besides a grunt.
"Slave, protect the wind palace at all costs. There is a monster headed this way. It will attack as five. Do not fail me. Do you understand."
The knight heavily nodded it's head once, and with that stormed away to look for the Links and Linkette, not only aiming to injure them, but to kill.
The deep laughter of the wind sorcerer Vaati could be heard from the fake appearance of Zelda as the controlled knight walked away.
"I'm counting on you, slave..~ For the world of darkness, you are one of our lasts hopes..~" Vaati sneered.
The five stood right inside of the wind palace entrance, looking for a way to go to find the princess. The staircase was a little thin, so they had to make do and be exceptionally careful, as if one of them were to fall, it would definitely mean certain death, even for Gold though she possessed Pegasus boots. The wind palace was awfully strange looking and hard to maneuver through. Though they were only at the entrance, they kind of already knew they'd have a hard time to come. The current place they were in, the main tower, was a huge, tube like building, with a round staircase that would take them way high up.
"Oh my Goddesses, we've been climbing these stair for seems to be hours, now. Vio said, wiping his forehead.
The red hero looked over to a nearby window that wasn't too fat away from the palace entrance door and pointed.
"Look guys! Look through the window!" He urged.
And with that, the five of them looked through the window, and outside. Everything was surrounded by mist, and whiteness. Looking down, they couldn't see the ground, no matter how hard they tried. Even if they could see passed the thick clouds, that is.
"Wow, We're basically inside a giant cloud! Gold said, watching the cumulonimbus clouds right outside their window.
"Come on guys, we're literally almost there." Bloo urged, trying to get the group moving again.
Once moving again, they came to yet another staircase inside the wind tower that would take them higher up. They somehow got the feeling that they'd be in for it as soon as they reached the top of those stairs, but still greatly anticipated for it anyways.
"Guys, we have to make sure we're careful from this point on. There's probably a lot of strong enemies with plans of killing us. Everyone have their guard UP. We'll never know when they're trying to attack."
And with a nod from all of them to Green, they slowly crept up the stairs. They'd have to pick up the pace though, time was running out! And they were getting quite tired from creeping up the staircase. So, with a quick sprint sprint and a few seconds later, they ended up.. at yet another door. They were honestly getting tired of this kind of thing. It was just... Misleading and mean. They all sighed and collected their bearings, trying to find a way to open the door. It was a lot bigger and more decorated than most of the doors in the wind palace, which was almost a good sign. Bloo and Green began to push onto the doors, but to no avail. There was no way it was gonna open, even with just the two of them pushing on it. And so everyone else decided to join in. All five of them, the parts of the rainbow, pushing heavily on the door to open it. Again, no luck available.
"Whelp, that door's shut tight. Real tight." Gold huffed, trying to catch her breath.
"Yeah, this thing isn't budging at all." Bloo said, wiping his forehead.
"Well, if pushing it didn't work, why don't we try pulling it...?" Red suggested.
Green paused for a second, looking at the door with his finger on his chin. He had remembered something, something important.
"Wait a second guys, maybe it's because we don't have all the jewel keys...?" Green questioned. "The rest be in the other hands of the noble knights!"
He dug into his tunic, and pulled out the jewel like necklace tied around his neck, and held the key in the palm in his hand, studying it.
"What in the world is that thing supposed to be?" Bloo asked, pointing to it.
"They're basically keys that are meant to unlock parts of the wind palace to help us get through. Needless to say, we don't have all of them." Green said in dismay.
"So, what are we supposed to do then...?" Red whined. "We've already came so far!"
"I-I guess we have no choice. We've gotta turn back." Green admitted.
There was no point in trying to say otherwise, so much so not even Bloo tried to backlash at this point. They all looked at the door, disappointed. Upon turning around, Vio noticed something from the corner of his eye that could be seen from the bottom of the staircase, from the doorway from which they originally came from. Vio quietly pointed to the thing, getting everyone's attention as they focused in on it.
"So, you've finally come. Sorcerer Vaati's underling." the voice admitted.
The five looked over to this being, it was a grown man, that appeared to be fully armored, wielding a large sword, definitely ready for action.
"I shall have the lot of you sliced within the name of my blade." It growled.
"T-That voice...!" Green choked to get the words out of his mouth as he watched the being approach them.
Unfortunately for Green, he was too busy worried about the sound of the voice and the person it was coming from, rather than what the being was actually saying. It The others quickly noticed who the mysterious being was.
"DAD!"
They all said in unison, even Gold. Green found himself choked with emotion, as he sprinted down the staircase to Greet his father who he thought he lost forever. The others followed some ways behind, looking for comfort in their father.
"D-Dad! You're alive! I-It's me! It's US!" Green said, arms spread out to embrace his father.
The father of the hero was not having it today. he quickly swung at the Green wearing hero, causing him to fall backwards on his bottom. Green grunted as he fell to the cold had floor of the palace. He looked up in horror to see his father standing before him, his sword pointed right at his face. Bloo, Red, Vio and Gold quickly came to a stop, not too far away from Green as he sat of the floor. Nothing could really be heard but Green's rapid breathing as he questioned why his father would have done such a thing to him, or at least try to.
"D-Dad...?" Green whimpered.
"I will avenge the death of my son." The great knight bellowed. Leaving everyone with a horrified face.
||So! Sorry this chapter was so short. There wasn't a lot that went on besides the Links and Gold going to the wind palace and finding their dad brainwashed. Again, sorry for any grammatical errors. I'm pretty sure there's a lot honestly lmfao. Anyways, stay tuned for the next chapter~
