Bobby Singer didn't know why his gut was bugging him, but he couldn't bring himself to ignore it any more. He had been working on a car in his garage when something in his gut told him to leave the car alone and go into the house. He couldn't figure out why his gut would act like that. There were only two people in the house and neither of them would set off his beta sense.

Only an omega could do that and neither Dean nor Sam Winchester was an omega as far as he knew. Bobby stopped short.

As far as he knew, that line of thought stopped him cold. He rushed into the house only to freeze when he stepped into the house.

Sam was on the couch drinking a beer and relaxing without a care in the world. Normally, Dean would be there beside the beta, drinking a beer and cracking jokes. The fact he was absent was a strange occurrence in itself. He stopped walking when he reached Sam.

"Sam, where's your brother?" he demanded, something about the situation driving him to the edge much quicker than normal. Dean was usually down here with his brother, enjoying a beer on their few days off. Now, when Bobby's Beta sense was tripped, Dean chose not to join his little brother for the beer they usually shared.

The brothers were closer than many married people Bobby knew and it sometimes had him on edge.

"I don't know. Jerk ran away from the fight and I heard the bathroom door slam. He's most likely blowing off some steam in the bathroom. Leave him be for a while, he'll calm down." Sam went back to the book he was reading. Bobby stared at him in surprise.

"You two had a fight and he stormed off and you didn't think to check on him? What is going on with you Sam?" Bobby didn't wait for an answer, he was already half way up the stairs and to the bathroom before he stopped speaking.

The door was closed and there was no sound coming from inside. Bobby knocked gently on the door, calling out like his instincts were screaming at him to do.

"Dean? Buddy, you in there?" There was no answer and Bobby felt his nerves double.

"Dean?" he called again, opening the door.

The sight that met him on the inside was not one he had ever expected to see. Dean Winchester curled up on the bathroom floor, head resting on his knees. He didn't acknowledge that Bobby was there, didn't say anything, just stared ahead of him, almost lifeless.

Bobby rushed to his side, unwilling to leave the man on his own. He looked the other male over, unable to see any injury. In surprise, he looked back at the man, unable to see anything wrong.

"Dean Winchester! What is the matter?" He demanded, Dean's state scaring him more than he felt comfortable admitting.

Dean jumped at the shout, and surprised Bobby even more by baring his throat to the other man. Bobby froze at the implications of such actions.

"Dean, are you a…." Bobby didn't have to finish his question; he already knew the answer. Dean was an omega, and he hadn't told anyone.

Bobby stared at the man he considered a son, stunned into silence for a moment before he dropped to the floor beside the younger man and put an arm around his shoulders.

"It'll be okay, Dean. You'll see."
