Chapter 17

I held Scott up as we walked into Deaton's office.

"I don't know why it isn't healing." Scott gasped as he lifted up his shirt to reveal the gash that Derek had left him.

"It's because it's from an Alpha." Scott and I looked up, startled by Deaton.

I stopped both of us in our tracks when we spied a body with deep claw marks running down it's chest.

"I think we need to have that talk now." Deaton said to Scott.

I arched my eyebrow at him and gave him a confused look. Deaton looked at me and nodded his head before going through his medical supplies.

"They're coming back, so we don't have much time to talk." Deaton explained as he put a clear liquid on a cotton ball.

"Uh, what is that?" Scott asked nervously.

"Rubbing alcohol. You don't want it to get infected, do you?"

Scott shook his head as Deaton began applying the alcohol. I reached over and grabbed Scott's hand as he hissed in pain.

"You'll heal the same just not as quickly, because of Derek." Deaton explained as he worked.

I look at him wondering just how much he was going to tell Scott and if he was going to reveal things about himself that he hadn't to me.

"Okay, how do you know all this? Actually how do you know anything?" Scott asked.

Deaton covered Scott's scratch with gauze and I realized he's nervous and his hands were shaking terribly.

"It's a long story. What I can tell you is that I know about your kind." The Vet explained as he cut pieces of tape. "Your kind I can help." He taped up the gauze.

"This- this is something…different." Deaton trailed off as we looked at the body of the young guy on the table.

"Well what do you know? Do you know what did it?" I finally asked.

"No. But the Argents will. And this is the crucial part they have some kind of record, or book. It'll have descriptions, histories, notations of all the things they've discovered." Deaton explained in a hurried voice.

I looked to Scott who was looking at Deaton with an expression of disbelief.

"Wha-all the things? How many different things are out there?" Scott asked.

"Hello, me over here." I gave Scott a little wave, reminding him about me.

Scott looked at me and gave me a smirk but suddenly his head popped up and he turned to look a Deaton. "They're here." He grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the supply closet.

Slowly and quietly, I closed the door before turning to Scott and grabbing his hand. "Don't say anything just hold my hand. Apparent opposita inter me visibilium et invisibilium."

The wall in front of us slowly dissolved, showing Chris Argent and one of his goons.

"I'm starting to think I need to buy a more prominent 'closed' sign." Deaton said as he turned to face Chris.

My eyes widened when the old man from the other night, our Principal, stepped into the room.

"Hello, Alan. It's been a while. The last I heard you retired."

"Last I heard, you followed a code of conduct." Deaton countered.

"If you haven't noticed, this body is one ours." Chris defended.

I looked to Scott who was mirroring my intrigued expression.

"I did. I also noticed the gunpowder residue on his fingertips. So don't assume I will be swayed by your philosophy's just 'cause I'll answer a few questions." Deaton replied.

What was Deaton and why was he so secretive when it came to filling me in. I don't understand why it had to wait. He seemed to know our Principal and Allison's dad very well. I glanced at Scott who was looking at me in concern. I sent him a confused look and he slowly reached his other hand out and wiped it under my nose. I look down to his finger and see blood. Scott looks at me and shakes his head. He quickly mouths the words stop. I shake my head viciously. Scott looks at me sternly and in that moment I can't disobey. I immediately let my wall of magic down and the scene that was before us is replaced by the wall.

Scott motioned for me to stay quiet as he points to his ear, indicating he would be listening. I looked to Scott and saw his face etched with worry. I squeezed his hand tightly and he turned to look at me with a small worried smile.

"I'm here. Together." I mouthed, hoping Scott would believe me because at this point, I knew where I stood, and it was behind the boy whose hand I was holding.

"Wait, so you're telling me that old man is her grandfather?!" I asked Scott in disbelief. The news that our principal was Allison's grandfather really shouldn't have surprised me as much as it did, but I couldn't help it.

"Yeah, and the scary thing is whatever is out there, they don't even know what it is, or how to stop it." Scott replied, shooting me a worried look.

I was sitting on the edge of a cliff discussing the new creature that was lurking in Beacon Hills, while Scott was walking back and forth pacing his way into a hole in the ground.

"Scotty, we will get through this, we get through everything, together." My eyes searched for his hoping he could see the conviction in my soul.

He smiled and sat beside me, placing his arm around my shoulder as he pulled me closer. "Are you, okay? Breaking up with Isaac had to be hard. I know you really love him, it is easy to see. He brought back the old Aria I missed so much."

I felt all the walls that I had been keeping up all night finally come tumbling down. Scott was right, I might not have said it to Isaac but I knew I loved him. He made me feel like the Aria I used to be, before my mom died. Now, my lip quivered in sadness and I nodded my head not wanting to speak, knowing if I did flood gates of tear would open.

"You know it's okay to cry, right?" Scott quietly asked, in his own way giving me permission to.

I nodded and felt a tiny tear slip down my cheek. "He was like a completely different person." I choked out as I shrank into Scott's side as the sobs of my broken heart finally poured out. He pulled me even closer, letting me cry on his shoulder.

"He isn't a completely different person. The Isaac you know is still in there. It's just that Derek is heavily influencing him. He loves you, the love is there. It's written all over him." Scott rubbed my back trying to console me.

My heart hurts as I took in Scott's words. Did Isaac love me?

Suddenly I'm brought out of my thoughts by my phone ringing and I quickly tried to hide the fact that I had been crying before I answered it.

"Hello?"

"I need you to come pick me up at the auto shop. Something crazy just happened. Can't elaborate. Just please come now." Stiles responded, sounding anxious.

I instantly stand and told Stiles I was on my way. I hung up the phone and turned to Scott. "I know you got to wait for Allison. Call you as soon as I can."

I turned to rush away, worried about my cousin when I suddenly stopped and turned back around, running into Scott's arms. "Thank you, Scotty." I squeezed him tightly. "I meant what I said, I'm on your side."

Scott pulled away and gave me his classic signature smile. "I know, you have been since the beginning. You're my Rimi."

I laughed at my childhood nickname, giving him one last squeeze before I pulled away. I turned to rush off but was stopped this time by Scott

"I'm coming too, Stiles needs me."

"Allison?" I inquire.

"She can wait, Stiles can't." Scott replied.

"You okay?" I asked Stiles as he got into my car.

"Yeah, you're right, it's not like you. I mean its eyes are almost like, reptilian. But there was something about 'em." Stiles said to Scott, completely ignoring my question.

I looked between the two and then into my rear view mirror. The gurney pulling the body was being wheeled into the ambulance and I closed my eyes, shaking the chill that had just ran up my spine.

"What do you mean?" Scott curiously asked.

"You know when you see, like, a friend in a Halloween mask, but all you can actually see is their eyes, and you feel like you know them, but you just can't figure out who it is?" Stiles rambled on lost in his memory of what had just happened to him.

I open my eyes and looked Stiles in shock. Does he know who it is?

"Are you saying you know who it is?" Scott asked what we were both thinking.

"No. But I think it knew me." Stiles replied, fear lacing his words.

"Paige is helping Derek?" I asked, my tone showing what a bitchy mood I was currently in.

"Yeah, she felt bad for the new beta's, thought she could help them learn to defend themselves." Orion answered me.

I slammed the car door and walked towards the entrance of the station but Orion grabbed my wrist and moved to stand in front of me.

"Are you sure you can handle being in there with Isaac?"

I nodded and gave Orion my best I'm a stone cold bitch face, when in actuality my stomach is doing flip flops. "It's no problem. I'm over it."

I walked into the station just in time to see Derek slam Isaac down onto the floor, full force. My first instinct was to go to him and make sure he was okay, but then I remember last night and forced myself not to move. Next, Erica tried but she also hit the ground hard.

"Does anyone want to try not being completely predictable?" Derek yelled at his two Beta's.

Erica suddenly pounced on him and began hungrily devouring Derek's lips. I watched partially in awe and partially in revulsion as the girl boldly kissed Derek, lust pulsating off of her but what really caught my attention was Paige. She stomped over and pulled Erica off of Derek, sending her flying back.

"Last time you do that. Use your instincts and not the instincts to hump every testosterone filled body. Use your instincts to attack." Paige instructed the girl.

"Well, I guess your new charm doesn't work on everyone." I said to Erica with a smirk as I walked toward the pack.

Paige smiled at me and I returned the smile before looking down at Erica and shaking my head.

"Who invited this bitch?" She angrily asked.

"Are we done here 'cause I've got about 100 bones that need a few hours to heal." Isaac grunted as he tried to sit up.

I spared him a quick glance but he didn't even look my way.

Derek walked over to Isaac grabbing his arm and snapping it. "101. You think I'm teaching you how to fight, huh? I'm teaching you how to survive."

"They wouldn't have to learn how to survive if you wouldn't have given them the bite." I snapped at Derek.

He shoved Isaac back and turned to walk away.

"Do you really want to ignore me?" I asked as my temper took over, causing the lights around me to flicker.

He stops but doesn't turn around.

"You know I am getting stronger." I silently commanded the air around Derek to lift him up and turn him around. His face is set in a stone cold manner, devoid of any emotion.

"How is this for predictable?" I yelled at him.

Derek lifted an eyebrow at me, his expression finally turning to one of annoyance. I let out an annoyed huff and dropped him. The moment Derek's feet touch the ground, Orion ran at him full speed and swept Derek's feet out from under him with his bow. When Derek was on the floor, Orion placed the bow against Derek's throat.

"If this was my Katana your head would be gone." Orion said as he applied a little pressure. He stared down at the Alpha a few moments longer before he straightened up, pulling his bow away.

Derek quickly got to his feet, looking over at his Beta's, "hope you took notes because they just showed you up."

"If they wanted us dead, why aren't they coming for us now? What are they waiting for?" Isaac asked clearly annoyed that they had been shown up.

"I don't know." Derek answered and walked away.

Paige looked between Orion and I with a small shrug. "Why don't I go talk to him. Aria, I think you and Derek need a cool down before you two speak to each other again. Orion maybe you should come with me."

"You know what to say better than me, I'll wait in the car." I told Orion.

"It's fine Aria, you look like you need to rest, I'll take him home." Paige told me, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder.

I nodded my head and left the station, not sparing a second glance at my ex-boyfriend.

"Aria, wait, please." Isaac pleaded.

I stopped and slowly turned around. When I finally met his eyes, my heart dropped. The eyes I was staring into were the eyes of the guy I had fallen in love with. I took a step back and shook my head. "What do you want?"

Isaac took a step forward and placed a hand on my cheek. "I'm sorry, I don't know why I acted the way I did. It's just when Derek says something it's hard for me to disobey nearly impossible."

Scott's words echoed in my head and I wondered if he is right.

"Look, I don't understand what you mean but I'll take your word for it, although I don't agree with what Derek is doing. I don't agree with him placing you all in this dangerous supernatural war. You will be part of this war for as long as you live, and what scares me Isaac, is you won't live that long." I looked down at my feet and took a deep breath. The thought of losing Isaac forever made my heart literally break into two.

"Aria, as long as you are in my life I will fight to live. Please, just forgive me, I need you." Isaac begged.

I shook my head. "I just don't know, right now. Isaac, you scared me, you were a completely different person that night. I want to know you will always be you when you're with me." I took another step back "I just need time."

I didn't give Isaac time to plead his case any further because I ran to my car before any tears could fall but once in the comfort of my car the tears flowed freely.

I walked down the stairs at school to see Scott and Stiles sitting at the bottom talking. As i got closer I picked up on their weird conversation.

"We'll get through this, I know because I love you. I love you m- Oh God!" Stiles yelled out when he noticed me looking at them.

"I knew you guys were besties but I've got to say I feel left out. Where is my love?" I tease through my laughter.

Stiles rolled his eyes at me as Scott smiled brightly.

"I can't do this anymore!" Stiles yelled.

Scott and I started laughing hysterically at Stiles' outburst.

"You and Allison just have to find a better way to communicate." Stiles continued, sounding annoyed.

"Come on, you're the only one we can trust. Is she coming to the game tonight?" Scott asked.

"Hey, you can trust me." I added.

Scott turned to look at me with a small smile. "I know, but Allison doesn't feel comfortable talking to you because she said she knows you will be rolling your eyes and killing her with them at the same time."

I nodded my head in understanding but was actually kind of happy it wasn't me who was to be the third party communicator.

"Yes. Okay, message complete." Stiles finally answered Scott's question. "All right now tell me about your boss."

"He thinks Allison's family keeps some kind of records of all the things that they've hunted." Scott replied.

"Like a book, a bestiary." I answered.

Stiles nodded his head and clapped, pointing a finger at me.

"What? I'm pretty sure you mean beastiality." Scott laughed

"No, she's right. A bestiary is like an encyclopedia of mythical creatures." Stiles explained.

"How am I the only one that doesn't seem to know anything about this stuff?" Scott asked, sounding agitated.

"Okay, you know you're my best friend, you're a creature of the night it's kind of like a priority of mine." Stiles replied and I smiled at my cousin. He was sweet and a really good friend.

"Well, I'm a supernatural creature as well, so my mom kind of schooled me on this stuff." I reminded Scott.

"Okay, if I can find it, and it can tell us what the thing is and who." Scott said to both of us.

We all look at each other and realization hit us.

"We need that book." The three of us say in unison.

Orion and I walked through the hall together, briefly stopping when we saw Stiles running to Scott, panting like crazy.

"What is going on with your cousin?" Orion asked with amusement in his voice.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head. "Being the cell phone between two lovers."

Orion arched his eyebrow at me and laughed before changing the subject. "I don't want you to get upset but are you okay? You know I heard you and Isaac talking last night."

I nodded, "I'm trying to be. I just miss him."

Orion threw an arm around my shoulder, placing a small kiss on my head. I felt my cheeks redden at his gesture but decided not to think more into it.

"It will get better and I'll be here for you, I promise." Orion said as he looked down at me with a killer smile.

"So, she is going to get the keys from her psycho grandfather and you are going to get it from her office?" I asked Stiles and Scott about their plan.

They both nodded their heads and I shook mine as I rubbed my hands together, making the lights flicker erratically. "I'm coming with you Stiles, you could use my magic touch."

Scott, Stiles, and Orion smile at me and nodded their heads.

"Orion just help me out on the field." Scott instructed as he placed his hand on his shoulder.

"Okay, now since everything is set in motion, I've got to go wait in the stands. Good luck boys." I call back to them as I walked out of the locker room.

My phone vibrated and I looked down to see its Isaac. I took a deep breath, my finger hovering over the ignore button before finally answering. "You know you really shouldn't be calling me."

"Considering this phone is actually yours, I can say it's okay." Isaac responded, amusement coloring his voice.

"Okay, what's up?" I asked, unable to keep the smile off my face.

"Derek, Boyd and Erica are on their way. Just giving you a heads up." Isaac told me.

"Why are you telling me?" my heart sped up, wondering if he was taking what I said seriously.

"Because you were right. I wasn't myself and if I want to win you back, I need to be myself. I want to help you the best I can and that is what the real me would do." Isaac explained.

My smile grew, "Thank you. After tonight if our plan works I'll stop by the station to talk to you."

"What plan?"

"Not important."

"Aria, please be careful." He pleaded with me. "I'm not there to protect you. I know you become weak when you over exert yourself. So, please, be careful."

I felt a smile cross my face and I couldn't help the butterflies that filled my stomach.

"I will. See you soon."

I hung up and placed the phone back in my pocket, heading out towards the field when a boy suddenly bumped into me.

"Sorry. Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." The dark haired boy apologized as he placed his hands on my shoulders, steadying me.

The feeling that goes through my body as his hands touch me feels so disturbing. I try my hardest to keep myself composed, forcing a fake smile. "It's okay, no worries."

He slowly took his hands off my shoulder and smiled at me. "I'm Matt by the way."

"Aria Stilinski, nice to run into you, Matt." I replied trying to sound friendly, while the insides of my body are telling me to get away from him and fast.

Matt chuckled and gave me a smile that to most, would seem genuinely friendly but to me, the smile seems cynical; and the disturbing feeling won't go away. I smiled politely back at him and tried to excuse myself.

"I better get to the bleachers and find a good seat."

"Maybe we will run in to each other again." Matt called out from behind me.

I turned around to smile at him all the while my insides were twisting and turning. I quickly made it to the bleachers and see Allison sitting with her grandfather, Principal Argent. I looked at her and gave her a quick nod. Allison's eyes looked confused for a split second but then her eyes widened in understanding, and she nodded back. I sit a few rows down from the two with Melissa.

"Hey, Mel." I said as I gave Scott's mother a hug.

"Hello sweetheart, heard your father will be moving back, taking his old position." Melissa replied as she hugged me back. She looked at me with worry on her face because she knew the kind of relationship I had with my father.

"Yup, what a joy to see him back here." My tone was full of sarcasm and she grabbed my hand, giving it a light squeeze. I smile at her with gratitude and we both turned to the field to hear the whistle being blown. The game had just begun and the boys were already getting knocked around like rag dolls.

"Is that boy even a teenager?" Melissa pointed to one of the boys on the field. He was huge and looked to be a college lacrosse player instead of a high school player.

"It sure doesn't look like it."

I saw Stiles slowly make his way off the bench and toward the school. He looked back at me and gave me a slight nod.

"I need to use the bathroom, excuse me Mel." I excused myself as I got up from the bleachers.

I followed Stiles through the parking lot and saw him standing at Lydia's car.

"Sorry to interrupt but I need the keys." I said to Stiles as I see Lydia crying in her car.

Stiles looks between the two of us and I snaked out a hand to grab his keys.

"Don't worry, she needs you more than I do." I told him and walked away from the car towards the school.

I made my way into Gerard's office and silently thank Allison for being useful for once. I rummaged through his drawers but can't seem to find the damn thing.

"Revelabunt obiectum cupio." I say feeling the tingle that ran through my body when I used my magic.

Nothing happens. So I try again.

Nothing.

"Revelabunt obiectum cupio!"

Still nothing.

"REVELABUNT OBIECTUM CUPIO!" I yelled out and the objects around me start to shake and rattle.

I slumped to the ground suddenly feeling dizzy. I tried to catch my breath and decided to get up but fall right back down again. Walking wasn't an option so I decided to crawl my way out of the door.

"Aria, what's wrong? Are you okay?" My cousin asked as his feet appeared in front of me. He leaned down to help me.

"I over exerted myself. Text Allison tell her nothing is here."

Stiles pulls out his phone, typing a quick message to Allison.

"Hello, Stilinski's." Erica purred, stopping in front of us. She grabbed Stiles and I, pulling us toward the school swimming pool. When she let us go I almost fell but thanks to Stiles he caught me before I could fall.

"What's wrong, Aria?" Derek asked with what sounds like worry.

"She just over exerted herself. She'll be fine." Stiles answered for me.

"Why was she using her powers?" Derek countered angrily.

"Doesn't matter, why did you bring us here?" I coldly retorted, hoping that he would forget about me using my magic.

"What did you see at the mechanic's garage?" Derek asked Stiles.

"Several alarming EPA violations that I'm seriously considering reporting." Stiles answered trying to avoid the real question.

Derek smiled deviously and popping the basketball in his hand.

"Holy God." Stiles cried out.

"Let's try that again."

"All right fine, Eyes, eyes are, um…yellowish and slitted. It had a lot of teeth. Oh, and it has a tail, too. Are we good?" Stiles asked.

I looked at Derek to see him looking at something above us.

"You guys have seen it? You all have this look like you know exactly what I'm talking about."

I followed their eyes and heard a hissing sound behind us. When I turned I saw the very thing Stiles had just described. It hissed at us and Derek crouched down in front us. The reptile slammed Erica into a wall knocking her out cold. He turned toward Stiles and I.

"Run!" Derek yelled at us but when he does, the reptilian scratches his neck. This wasn't good, Scott told me what the scratch does. I moved forward to grab Derek but Stiles pushed me away.

"Run! Get Scott." He yelled at me.

I start running as fast as I could while I pulled out my phone and dialed Scott's number but he doesn't answer. Paige! I dialed Paige's number but get her voicemail, instead. I reluctantly decided to leave a message anyway.

"Get to the school now. Find Scott and tell him-" I hear Derek yell at Stiles and splash into the water. Shit! He's going to drown. "We are in the school swimming pool. The creature is here with us. We need help." I finished and throw my phone to the ground, turning to the pool and diving straight in, even though I'm extremely tired. I grabbed Derek and tried my hardest to make it to the top. I could feel my legs giving out when suddenly an arm grabbed me, pulling me up. I look up to see Stiles helping me drag us up to the surface. Once we break through the water, the three of us are gasping for air.

"Thanks." I said, panting for air.

"I've got him." Stiles said as he grabbed Derek out of my arms. "Where did it go? Do you see it?"

"No." Derek and I replied in unison.

"Okay, maybe it took off." Stiles said just as the creature screamed, letting his presence be known.

"Or not." I replied.

"Will you two get me out of here before I drown?" Derek snapped.

"You're worried about drowning?" Stiles asked in disbelief.

"Did you notice the thing out there with multiple rows of razor-sharp teeth?" I snapped at Derek. Seriously, was he only thinking of himself?

"Did you two fail to notice that I'm paralyzed from the neck down in eight feet of water?" Derek countered.

"Okay, gosh, don't have to bite our heads off." I muttered as I moved toward the wall.

"Wait, wait, wait. Stop."

I stopped at Derek's urgent calls, turning to where they were looking at and saw the reptile hissing again.

"What is it waiting for?" I asked.

We watched as the creature placed its hand in the water and hissed as it shrinks away from the pool.

"Wait, did you see that?" Stiles asked

"I don't think it can swim." I replied in relief.

"Okay, okay, I don't think I can do this much longer." Stiles cried out, breathless as he held one side of Derek and I held the other.

"Let's just hold on a little longer, I'm sure Paige has already gotten in contact with Scott." I told him, trying to sound optimistic but it had been two hours already.

"No, no, no, don't even think about it!" Derek yelled at Stiles who was looking at his phone.

"Could you just trust me for once?" Stiles yelled at Derek.

"NO!" Derek yelled back. Clearly Derek still had trust issues when it came to Stiles. When in actuality he shouldn't have any. Stiles was always there to help.

"We are the ones keeping you alive." I defended my cousin. "I can hold you up, it's fine."

"Yeah, and when the paralysis wears off, who's gonna be able to fight that thing, you two or me? It's clear that you three are up to something that Aria is completely drained from using her magic. So, really who do you think is the one who is going to fight that thing, you to or me?" Derek countered. I rolled my eyes at his condescending attitude.

"That's why we've been holding you up for the past two hours." Stiles snapped.

"You don't trust me. Aria doesn't trust me. Fine. I don't trust you but I trust Aria." Derek said to Stiles. "But you need me to survive, which is why you're not letting me go."

Stiles doesn't give Derek's words any thought as he quickly lets go of Derek and I struggled to keep him up.

"Stiles!' Derek yelled at him.

I'm panting hard, trying to keep him up as I watch Stiles grab the phone to call Scott barely missing the reptile's claws.

"Derek, I don't know how much longer I can keep you up. I'm going to try and use my magic."

"No! You will drown. You're too weak." Derek hissed at me.

"Then we will both drown because I can't keep you up." I spirited out the words as water began to fill my mouth. I couldn't hold us up anymore and before I knew it, we both began to go under. I looked to Derek with sadness and I grabbed his hand and gave it a squeeze. Giving him a silent apology for not being strong enough. I felt the air I'm holding on to in my lungs begin to vanish and my head begin to pound. Everything begins to become hazy as I slowly turn my head to look at Derek, who is giving me a worried look through his half-closed eyes.

I suddenly feel an arm around me, pulling me up to the surface. I slowly look down to see Derek's body laying at the bottom of the pool. My head breaks through the surface of the water and I am gasping for air.

"Can you float on your own?" Stiles asked nervously as he hastily looked down to Derek's body.

"Yeah." I said, calling on my magic to keep me afloat. Stiles nodded at me and took in a huge breath as he dove down to retrieve Derek.

I felt the energy slowly drain from me and hope that I can keep enough energy to help Stiles and Derek. Suddenly Derek and Stiles are gasping for air. I let out a sigh of relief at seeing them both breathing and alive.

"We need to hold on to something." Stiles pointed to the diving board and I nodded my head but instead of following I use my magic to push them towards it. I felt the last of my energy leave me as I see Stiles reach for the handle. I feel myself go under again as the world goes black.

"Aria, please wake up." Isaac's whispered into my ear.

I tried to open my eyes but they felt so heavy.

"Please, baby, wake up. I'm sorry. I love you." Isaac croaked out. I could hear the cries in his throat threatening to release as he held onto me.

"I love you, too." I croaked out as I tried to open my eyes. I hear Isaac let out a sigh of relief and his arms tighten around me. I struggle to open my eyes but when I finally get them open I looked up to see Isaac's eyes widen in relief and he crushed me against him even tighter.

"I love you, Baby. I love you so damn much!" Isaac whispered into my hair as he kissed the top of my head. Isaac cradled me tightly and I hugged him back as much as I could through his tight grip. That is when noticed that his clothes were just as wet as mine and that we were still in the school. I turn to see Scott and Orion crouched in front of the reptile. Orion with his Katana sword ready to strike any moment and Scott has the glass in his hand. I suck in a breath as I see it move toward Scott but then I notice that the creature looked at itself in the mirror confused and then runs off.

I turned to look at Stiles, Derek, and Paige mirroring my expression. Paige had her hand on Derek's and she was gripping it tightly. Isaac pulled me into his arms and picked me up, carrying me. "I'm taking her home." Isaac said not really waiting for a response as he walked out with me in his arms.

"How did you know I was here?" I asked.

"Shhh. Don't talk, rest." Isaac cooed as he ran through the woods.

I don't know how much time has passed and didn't even realize that I was asleep until Isaac laid me down in my bed.

"Don't go." I whispered as I hold on to Isaac's arm. Wanting to feel safe in his arms and forgetting the nightmare I just experienced. He stared down at me and smiled as layed beside me.

"I was so scared. When I pulled you out of the water, I thought you were dead." Isaac trailed off. HIs words filled with the anguish of the fear of my death.

I placed my hand on his cheek and pulled myself on top of him. "You saved me." I whispered and placed my lips on his.

"I love you." He whispered against my lips. His words filled me with a burning fire that made my heart swell.

"I love you, too." I replied holding onto the boy I loved whole heartedly and that might just be the death of me.
