Chapter 18

The lights in the back room of the vet clinic were turbulent as Deaton words echoed around me.

"Aria, you must concentrate. This will be the only way you can protect yourself." Deaton pushed his self off the table he was leaning against and walked forward to stand in front of me. "Take a deep breath and find your center. You need to find your spirit deep inside of you." Deaton reminded me.

Deaton had explained to me that I wouldn't be able to use mountain ash when I needed to protect myself or create a supernatural barrier. I somehow can use my spirit. Deaton had seen the look of uncertainty on my face and ended up lecturing me for twenty minutes explicating spirit wielding. Deaton could of just clarified it is the center of my magic, it is what keeps everything in me balanced, like the cliff notes of the lecture but no, he had to bore my brains out.

"Aria, concentrate." Deaton called out.

I took in a breathe and searched for the source inside me but the problem is, I can't find it.

"Think of something that makes you feel whole. The one thing or person in the whole world that creates that perfect balance in your life. That ties the good and the bad together; and creates tranquility instead of destruction." Deaton instructed.

My mind instantly went to Isaac. He was the embodiment of what you could consider bad. He was a werewolf something that could kill but instead he was gentle and loving. Isaac was a creature that had flaws that included blood lust, animalistic tendencies, but instead the flaws didn't appear. He was good. He made my life complete, without him I couldn't be happy. Breaking things off with him for a day brought me agony. I knew that even in all this mess of our supernatural lives he was the one person who I loved whole heartedly. He brought out the kind of love that made me feel safe, but on fire at the same time. From the moment I met him, I was instantly drawn to his blue eyes. They held me captive since the moment I held their gaze and I couldn't live without them. He brought me peace. Peace I hadn't felt since my mother was alive. I instantly took in a breath and filled myself with the imagine Isaac's arms around me, his lips against my ear playing the words 'I love you', and our hearts beating in sync as it drummed against my chest. The feeling of peace filled my body and suddenly my blood exploded with magic and I slowly open my eyes to see the most beautiful golden light surrounding me. It glowed with immense brightness that I had to shield my eyes for a moment. I uncovered them to see the light slowly fading.

"You did it." Deaton smiled as he nodded his head.

I do a complete 360 and find that the light surrounds me. The light has faded down and is now glowing up to my ankles. I cock my head to side with curiosity at this beautiful light that surrounded me. I bend down and slowly reach out my hand to touch it.

"The only way it can be broken is if you or a human touches it, like the mountain ash." Deaton explains.

I slowly bring my fingers toward it and feel the golden light flow up my fingertips in a fast fluid motion. My eyes widen at the sight, it looks like the glow that appears when Orion touches me.

"Did I just take it back?" I asked Deaton in surprise.

He nods his head and smiles bright.

"You sure did. That light is part of you. Which brings me to wonder, why when Orion and you touch, skin to skin contact, your spirit reacts." Deaton says as he hands me my books.

"That never happened between my parents?" I asked Deaton.

Deaton face turned to one of contemplation and he shook his head.

"Honestly, I don't know. Paige and I have been looking for an explanation but cannot seem to find one." Deaton gives me a bottled water. "Your father comes back in town tomorrow, you should ask him. It is important." Deaton said and placed his hand on my shoulder.

I nod my head and sigh at the remembrance that my father comes back to Beacon Hills for good tomorrow.

"Oh, what joy that man brings to my life." I replied sarcastically.

Trudging into my room I sighed in exhaustion. I let my bags fall of my shoulder and on to the floor. I quickly peeled off my leather jacket and leaned down to unlace my boots when suddenly I heard my phone ding. I quickly pulled it out of my back pocket and read a message from Isaac.

Meet me in our spot 10 minutes. Urgent.

My mind starts to race with all the possibilities that could be the reason as to why Isaac needs to meet.I run my hand throughout my waves and grab my jacket from the floor. I pulled my jacket back on and climbed out the window, deciding walking was my best bet. Wouldn't want Uncle Jack knowing I'm out passed curfew on a school night. I ran toward the forest and decided to use my speed to make it in time to meet Isaac.

Once I am in the meadow of our first date, our spot. I saw that Isaac was already there waiting for me.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked as I ran toward him.

Isaac instantly pulled me into his arms and snuggled against my hair.

"I needed to talk to you in private. I don't know if anyone followed me." Isaac said into my ear. He whispered so low into my ear that I almost missed it.

I hugged him hard letting him know I understood and whispered.

"Sed patet mundi nefas tacitusque mea auribus." I pulled back from Isaac and he looked at me funny.

"Talk now. Only have a few minutes till I get weak." I said urgently as I held up the force field around us, that would protect us from being heard.

"Okay, Derek kidnapped Jackson thinking he was the Kanima. You know the reptilian." Isaac said.

"Yeah, I know what it is. Stiles filled me in this morning." I replied.

"Well, Derek thought it was Jackson because he gave him the bite and nothing has happened to him. He didn't turn, or so he says."

"Wait, he gave him the bite? How come I didn't feel it, the way I did with you?" I question. "Why haven't I felt it with Erica and Boyd?" I whisper the last part in confusion.

"I don't know but we gave him the venom from the Kanima. Thinking it wouldn't affect him but it did. So now we are back at square one but I needed to let you know. This is big and I know that you all would want to know. Derek is searching for the Kanima and he thinks it might be Lydia. Seeing as she was attacked by an Alpha and didn't turn. From what I gather he will kill her if she is." Isaac explained.

I nodded in understanding and shook my head at how Derek was going on doing things on his own, and the wrong way. I looked up at Isaac realizing what he had just done. He relayed information to me that could jeopardize his Alpha's plans.

"Thank you, for letting me know. You don't know how much that means to me." I leaned up and kiss him letting the guard around us lift. Isaac possibly defying his Alpha, with this knowledge made my blood heat up with passion.

Isaac instantly responded to my kiss and ran his hand into my hair, sensually massaging my scalp. I aggressively pulled him closer to me and Isaac grabbed my bottom and lifted me up; I instinctively wrapped my legs around his torso. Isaac's lips traveled down to my neck causing a moan to escape my mouth. Suddenly Isaac stopped and his whole body froze up. I looked down at him and see he has his eyes shut.

"What's wrong, baby?" I gently placed my hands on the side of Isaac's face. He slowly shook his head but still with his eyes closed.

"Look at me."

Isaac shakes his head again.

"Look at me." I commanded.

Isaac reluctantly opened his eyes but looks down. Trying to hide the fact that his eyes were glowing Amber.

"Isaac, its okay. Look at me." I gently pulled Isaac's face to look at me. He reluctantly complies and I can see his eyes burning beautifully.

"Don't be ashamed. I love them just as much as I love your blue ones." I replied as I slowly kissed his lips. "I love every part of you, even your wolf parts." I added.

Isaac looked at me and his eyes changed back to blue.

"You don't know how much I love you. I don't deserve you but I will do everything to be worthy of you. I love you so much, I will never leave your side. I am yours forever." Isaac pours out.

My heart swelled with emotion as I hear his heartfelt words.

"I love you, too." I replied as I placed my lips on his again.

Orion and I walked into the school discussing the information that Isaac had shared with me.

"Did you tell Scott and Stiles?" Orion whispered.

"Yeah. I just don't know when everything is going down. Derek hasn't given him that info yet, but from what I know about Derek he's impulsive so, it will be going down like ten minutes ago." I responded as we passed by Jackson who was looking shook up and that's when I noticed Isaac and Eric speaking in low whispers. Isaac was back at school. SInce when? I stopped in my tracks and Orion looked at me with confusion.

"Isaac." I whispered.

He quickly turned to look at me and smiled. Erica on the other hand rolled her eyes and flipped her hair letting out a huff while she turned to walk away. Isaac strutted down the hall toward me with so much confidence he looked arrogant, something I didn't like. Once in front of me Isaac immediately pulled me into his arms.

"Surprise." He said as he kissed my lips.

I looked at him in shock.

"I was cleared." He responded.

I instantly pull my arms around his neck and squeeze tightly. I was so glad to hear those words.

"I'm glad but when were you planning on telling me?" I asked as I pull back to look at him.

"As soon as I saw you. Wanted to surprise you, babe." I shake my head with a huge smile reaching my eyes.

"I'm going to get to class. Talk later?" Orion asked as he cleared his throat. I turned to look at Orion, who looked clearly uncomfortable. I looked to Isaac who was in turn looking at Orion with venom. I looked back at Orion to see the uncomfortable face erased and replaced with a smirk. I cleared my throat causing both boys to look at me. I took the moment and smiled at Orion nodding my head.

"Yeah, see you in a bit." I responded and gave him a small wave. Orion smiled brightly at me and with a wink turned away, and walked to class.

I watched Isaac stare Orion down deadly as he left down the hallway.

"What is your problem. It's just Orion." I looked at Isaac questionably. I crossed my arms over my chest and stared him down waiting for an answer.

"Isn't it obvious? He is in love with you. It's been clear since the first day I met him. He looks at you like your the most beautiful, fragile, kick-ass, kind-hearted, bad girl he knows. And you know how I know that?" Isaac asked me heatedly. I responded by just shaking my head in disbelief. "Because I look at you like that every second, every minute, every hour of the day. It drives me crazy that he looks at you like that. Especially since you two are so close."

I looked at Isaac and shake my head again.

"He isn't in love with me and even if he was it shouldn't matter, because I love you and only you. So it shouldn't matter to you that he looks at me that way, or if he likes me, because I love you. If you think that he could sway me away from you. You are sadly mistaken. It hurts that you could even think it would matter. But like I said Orion isn't in love with me. We have bond that is forged through our magic. That's all!." I said as I take a step back. Isaac face suddenly slackened as he tried to say something to me but I cut him off.

"He's my healer. He will forever be apart of my life. So either get over it, or deal with it because I'm sorry to say but he isn't going anywhere." I watched as Isaac's eyes as he processed my words. When I saw that he wasn't going to processes those word well, I decide it's best to walk away. "I got to get to class." I turned away from him about to head toward my next class, but I suddenly feel a hand on my wrist and Isaac's lips against my ear.

"I'm sorry, I don't think of you like that. But you should know. We are going to try to use the venom on Lydia in Chemistry. So try whatever you can to stop it because if she passes the test we are going to have to kill her. Derek's orders." Isaac informed me and I hastily break away from his grip and run off looking for Stiles and Scott.

I ran into class just in time to sit beside Jackson. Who is sitting in my seat. I eye him weirdly but he just smiles.

"Hey testicle left and right. What the hell is a Kanima." I heard Jackson whisper to the boys. I straitened up but pretend to not hear the conversation.

"All right, listen up." Coach yelled at the class. "A quick warning before we begin our review. Some of you, like McCall, might want to start their own study groups, because tomorrow's midterm is so profoundly difficult…I'm not sure I could pass it." He finished with a chuckle. I rolled my eyes at Coach idiocy and looked down at my notebook pretending not to be listening in on their conversation.

"Paralyzed from the neck down. Do you have any idea what that feels like?" Jackson angrily asked.

I rolled my eyes at how he could be such a baby about things.

"I'm familiar with that sensation." Stiles added.

"Wait…why would Derek test you? Why would he think it's you?" Scott glanced at me as he asked feigning the knowledge I had given them.

"How should I know?" Jackson responded bitterly.

"Wait, do they think it's Lydia?" Stiles asked worriedly.

"I don't know, all I heard was her name and something about chemistry." Jackson responded.

So that is what Isaac and Erica were talking about in the hallway. How did he hear them? They were whispering and a good distance between themselves and Jackson.

"Jackson!" Coach called out causing everyone in class to stare at him. "Do you have something you want to share with the class?"

"Um…just an undying admiration for my-my coach." Jackson stuttered out.

"That's really kind of you. Now shut up!" Coach yelled again causing me to drop my pen.

I leaned down and pulled on Stiles pants, he looked down and at me. I motion for him to come closer. Stiles slouches down looking forward, trying not to be obvious.

"Isaac said they are going to test her and if she passes the test. Derek is going to kill her." Stiles body freezes and I slowly get up.

I looked up to the board to see Lydia crying and whimpering. I shake Stiles and Scott to look at her.

"What is wrong with her?" I asked.

"Does someone else want to try. This time in english?" Coach turned to ask the class.

I looked past Lydia to see the writing on the board is in english, it's just written backwards.

The whole class laughs at her and turn to give the kids sitting beside me death glares. They stop and look down at their textbooks.

"What is that, greek?" Scott asked.

"No actually it's english." I responded from behind Stiles.

Stiles nodded his head. He pulled out his phone and shows us a picture of the board and then presses a button that changes the reflection of the picture. Showing us the cryptic message is HELP ME, and it's everywhere.

"It's going to happen now. We need to get there before they do." I look at the boys as we decided to run into the class. Just as my body passed the threshold of the door we see Isaac and Erica looking at Lydia. Erica with a smirk on her face and Isaac looking at me with uncertainty playing on his face. Scott and Stiles run toward Lydia and take the spot beside her. Erica defeatedly sits behind them and Isaac sits beside her. I shake my head and sit in the table beside them. Allison comes in looking confused. Scott motions for her to sit beside me.

"What's going on?" She asked me confused.

"Look beside me."

She looked at the table to see Erica smirking at her.

"What are they doing?" Allison looked frightened for her friend.

"They think Lydia is the Kanima."

Allison's eyes widen and she shakes her head.

"No she isn't. We would know." She defended Lydia.

"I know, I'm with you on that one." I responded and her eyes grow with shock.

"You are on our side?" Allison asked in disbelief, like if she had just seen the cow jump over the moon.

"Yes, I believe in Scott, he always does the right the thing." I replied as I looked over at Isaac and gave him a small smile. Erica looked between the two of us and rolled her eyes.

I turned to Allison and lean forward and motion for her to follow. I write on a piece of paper and makes sure Harris isn't looking. Lucky for me he is to busy making digs at Stiles to notice me pass the note to Allison.

We need to keep them away from Lydia. Whatever we can to stop them. We might not get along, but if we work together we can help save her.

Allison nodded her head and places the paper in her purse.

"Erica, you take the first station. You'll start with…" Mr. Harris is cut off by all the hands that shoot up in the air. Every boy excluding Isaac, Stiles and Scott were shot up. Even a girl was raising her hand hoping to spend time with the blonde vixen.

"I didn't ask for volunteers. Put your hormonal little hands down." Harris replied annoyed. "Start with Mr. McCall."

Scott looked back to Erica and I look to Allison who is looking worried.

"Don't worry she just trying to get a rise out of you. Scott would never go for someone like her." I defend Scott as I look over at Erica.

She gives me the evil eye and runs a hand through her perfect hair.

I end up sitting with Isaac in our first station.

"You can't kill her." I told Isaac as I placed the liquid content into the beaker.

"If she passes the test Derek will." He responded.

"You can't do this, Isaac. She isn't the kanima." I added with a plea to my tone.

"Look, if she isn't, she won't pass the test."

"I doesn't matter, don't do it." I command Isaac.

He looked at me and shakes his head. Defeat written all over his face.

"I have to, I don't have a choice." Isaac said as he looks at me in pity.

"Why, because Derek said?" I asked him sarcastically.

"Aria, he's my Alpha. I have too." Isaac said sadly. His eyes turned a dark blue as his sadness appeared his irises before me.

Harris rang the bell indicating for us to head to the next station.

"Everyone has a choice." I said disappointed at Isaac's words.

I sit beside Erica with an eye roll.

"Lovers quarrel?" Erica spat with a condescending smile.

"Leave Lydia alone." I said as I dumped powder into the beaker.

Erica chuckles and looked at me with an amused expression.

"If I don't recall, you absolutely hate the redheaded bitch." Erica let out as she eyed Lydia.

"Still do, but it doesn't mean she deserves to be killed, just because Derek says so. He's an idiot. As much as I love him he's an idiot." I said the last part slipping out.

Erica's eyes widen with devious thoughts clouding her eyes.

"Does our little Isaac know about that?"

"It isn't like that. I've known him for years. Our families were really close." I respond looking up at Isaac. He's expression looking at me with confusion.

"I take it, he didn't know." Erica chuckled and waves at Isaac.

"Nope, didn't think it mattered." I said emotionless. I didn't want her to know she was making me angry.

"Erica what happened to you? I know deep down you are better than this." I looked at her and her face his angry.

"You don't know, shit!" She digs her claws into my arm. I wince at the pain and instinctively grabbed her with my other hand.

"Oww!" She hissed and looked down at her wrist to see my hand glowing like coal burning into her wrist.

"I'm done playing nice, bitch! I can kill you if I want, but even you just like Lydia, doesn't deserve to die. That doesn't change the fact that I don't mind torturing. Got it?" I hissed into her ear.

"What i-is wrong w-with your eye-eyes?" Erica hissed in between groans of pain.

The bell rang and I let go of her wrist to see my hand print burned into her skin.

"Remember, don't get in my way. I'm done playing nice. I will protect them and if it means having to kill you, well then I will." I stood up and took the seat next to Allison.

Allison's eyes widen with awe as she looks at me.

"Aria, your eyes, there…blue. An eerie blue." She whispered.

I closed my eyes and I feel my heart hammering in my chest. I laced my hands together and bring them to my forehead. I open my eyes peering over my clasped hands to see that the lights have begun to flicker and the door to the class burst open. I looked to over to see Isaac, who is in turn looking at me worried. He is about to get up when suddenly I feel two hands on mine bringing them down to the table resting inside them. I look down at the bigger tan hands and then travel up to see Scott.

"Aria, breathe, deep breaths. We will do them together." Scott said as he takes my hands in his. Scott begins to take deep breaths of air and slowly letting them out. I began to follow his lead. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale, Exhale…Suddenly I feel better. Scott smiles big at me and gives my hand a squeeze.

"There are the beautiful browns I grew up with." Scott said as he looked into my eyes.

"Thank you." I gripped Scott's hand.

Scott and I turn back to the class and just in time to hear we can eat the crystal. Our beaker looked like crap because we didn't do the last step. We suddenly looked up to see Lydia with the crystal and on closer inspection I see the venom dripping from it.

"Lydia." Scott yells out.

Everyone looks at him and he shrinks back as we watch her consume the crystal and nothing happen to her.

I look to Scott and he gives me a defeated sigh. I grabbed his hand and look to Stiles who looks utterly defeated.

"I will protect her." I mouth to him.

I looked to Isaac who is sitting right next to Lydia, and shake my head.

"You always have a choice." I whisper knowing he could hear me.

"Derek's outside waiting for Lydia." I said as we waked into Coach's office.

"Waiting to kill her?" Allison questioned.

"If he thinks she's the Kanima, then yes, especially after what happened at the pool." Scott answered.

"It's not her." Stiles yelled out.

I looked at Stiles and feel pity for him. This has to be hard hearing they want to kill the girl he has been in love with since he was in Kindergarten.

"I know, it's not her." I replied as I grab his hand and pull him into a hug.

"Stiles, she didn't pass the test, man. Nothing happened." Scott said with pity.

"No it can't be her." Stiles countered.

"It doesn't matter because Derek thinks its her." Allison said and I nodded my head. "So, we either need to convince him he is wrong, or we've got to figure out a way to protect her." Allison added.

"I can help. I do have my powers." I waved my hands with my fingertips ignited in flames. "I can call Orion. He know his way around weapons." I said as I pulled out my phone to text him.

"Well I really don't think he will do anything here, not at school." Scott tried to sound convincing.

"What about after school?" Allison countered.

Scott lets out a sigh. I turn around and dial Orion's number.

"Hello." Orion whispered

"Hey, meet me at my car right after school. We are going to need your weapons." I said as I looked back to see the trio in discussion.

"Okay, got it." Orion said and then the line went dead.

I placed my phone in my pocket and right when I look up I see an arrow fly toward Scott and he catches it mire inches from his face.

Stiles and I let out sigh of immense relief as does Scott.

"Aah, sorry. It has a sensitive trigger." Stiles said as he hand the cross bow to Allison.

Scott sighed as he walks out the door. I follow behind him.

"Meet Orion at my car. Give him the instructions on what to do. I will meet you all. I have to try." I say to Allison and Stiles.

Both looked at me with understanding and nod their heads.

"Hey, Aria." Allison called out. I look back and see her fidgeting with her shirt. "I-I just wanted to say…thank you. I know Lydia and you never have gotten along but…I know turning your back on Derek and choosing Scott had to be a hard decision. So thank you." Allison surprised me by saying those words. I just respond by giving her a small smile and nod my head.

I turned back around and follow Scott out the door.

I followed Scott out onto the lacrosse field to see Boyd standing there.

"I want to talk to Derek." Scott yelled out.

"Talk to me." Boyd countered.

"We don't want to fight." I called out.

"Good because I'm twice the size of you." Boyd looked at Scott with and smirk and then looked at me. "And three times the size of you." Boyd said with cockiness filling his words.

I rolled my eyes.

"Size doesn't matter." I closed my eyes and the wind arounds us picks up causing the trees around to violently sway, the clouds darken, and thunder begins to rumble in the distance. I open my eyes and look at Boyd.

"Do you know what happens to dog when they get struck by lighting?" I cocked my head to the side. "They fry like everything else." I bring my hand up and bring it down toward the ground next to Boyd, and at the same time a huge bolt strikes a few feet beside him. Scott grabs my hand.

"Stop, Aria. Don't." I roll my eyes and let my magic die down. Boyd is looking at me frightened and I smirk.

"Don't cross me, pup." I replied.

"She failed the test." Derek said from beside Boyd.

"Yeah, which doesn't means anything." Scott countered.

"Lydia's different." I replied. Clearly agitated by our encounter.

"I know, at night she turns into a homicidal walking snake." Derek countered.

"We aren't going to let you kill her." I looked at Derek fiercely and I can see a flicker of betrayal behind his eyes.

"Who said I was going to do it?" Derek chuckled.

I looked to Scott and realize Erica and Isaac are missing.

Scott tries to run but Boyd knocks him down. I turn to Boyd and I shove my hands forward using my air wielding magic, throwing him clear across the field.

"Run, Aria, find them." I looked back at Scott worriedly and then at Derek who is looking at me coldly.

I nodded my head and run full speed toward the school. I burst into the school and by luck run into Stiles in the hall and pull him to the side.

"Don't take her to the library. Take her to Scotts'. I'm going to deal with Erica and Isaac. Meet Orion like we planned, here are my spares, his weapons are in the trunk under the spare tire. I'll meet you all at Scott's." I called out as I ran looking for the two Beta's.

The doors to the library bursted open and Isaac and Erica both walked in with smirks on their faces.

"Over here." I waved at the two.

Erica came toward me but Isaac pulled her back.

"No." Isaac said and pushes her back.

"Where is she?" Isaac grabbed Matt.

Matt looked at him confused and then he looked at me. A shiver went down my spine when he looked at me. I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to this guy and it wasn't good.

"Isaac, stop." I yelled out and watching Isaac drop Matt back into his chair. I smirked at the two Beta's and walked out the library.

I stood in the hall waiting for the two of them but knew that Erica would be the first to come after me. Sure enough, Erica came out and smirked. She didn't waste time and ran towards. I instantly pull my hands out and conjure up my air wielding again. I bring them forward in front of my body in one swift motion; the way a bird would bring its wings forward. The intensity of the air opens all the lockers and the contents inside flying all around me and onto the ground. Once the air hits Erica it knocks her back flying passed Isaac and hitting the wall at the end of the hallway; knocking her out cold. Isaac runs toward me but then stops seeing the look on my face, he brings up his hands in a surrender.

"Aria, I'm not going to hurt you, I'm on your side." He comes forward slowly. "I promise you, I'm on your side." Isaac hastily puts his hand in mine. I sigh and let out a tired breath.

"I thought you were on Derek's side." I replied as I looked into his eyes. Isaac shakes his head and places a kiss on my head as he pulled me into a hug.

"I am with you, but I need them to think I'm with them." Isaac said slyly.

I pulled back and give him a smirk.

"You're my mole." I said happily.

"No one can know. Just you. We have to play it like we are on opposite sides." Isaac replied as he looked back at Erica to make sure she was still knocked out.

"Okay, fine by me."

"Don't hesitate to hurt me if you have too, remember I heal, you don't, you need Orion for that. He's not around all the time." Isaac added with venom.

"We aren't done talking about that but that will have to wait. I need to head over to the others." I said as I started to walk away. Isaac grabbed my wrist and turned me around, placing his lips on mine. "I love you." He whispered against my lips.

I smiled into our kiss. "I love you, too." I said as I kissed him back once more. I then reluctantly pulled away and ran out the school and toward my car. Once I reached my Porsche I pulled out my keys from my backpack and jumped in. I grabbed out my phone and dialed Stiles number.

"I'm on my way." I said not giving Stiles a chance to answer.

"Okay, just hurry." Stiles replied nervously.

"I'm on it." I replied and hung up speeding all the way to Scott's.

I run up to the porch steps and knocked on the door repeatedly and urgently.

"Stiles, it's me open up now!" I yelled out.

The door suddenly flies open and a hand grabs me and pulls me in. I look to see Allison looking at me worriedly and Stiles' face mirroring hers.

"Where's Scotty?" I asked looking around not seeing him.

"Still not here." Allison said anxiously as she looked out the window.

"Lydia?" I asked.

"Upstairs, with Jackson." Stiles answered unhappily.

"They won't be that far behind. I knocked Erica out and Isaac, well, he gave me a free pass, but he made it clear it would be just that once." I said feigning sadness.

"Hey, it's okay, you don't need him." Orion said as he walked out from the kitchen.

I smiled at him and wondered if Isaac was right, was he into me? I shook that thought out of my head.

"Yeah, well I don't really want to talk about my relationship issues at the moment." I said as I pretended to laugh it off.

Orion walked up to me and hands me my holster of knives. I tie them around my thigh and nod my head.

"I am going to need these. I'm a little worn out." I said as I pulled out a knife and inspected it.

"I love those. I have a pair of my own." Allison said as she admired them. I smiled at her in return.

"Maybe, we can train together sometime."

Allison eyes perked up at me and she smiled brightly.

"I'd like that." She responded.

"I hate to break this bonding moment but we've got a problem." Stiles said anxiously.

I walk over to the window and see the three Beta's and their Alpha standing outside. I groan and roll my eyes.

"Seriously, I'm really starting to get ticked off." I move away from the window and walk toward Orion.

"We seriously need a plan." Orion said as he looked at me.

"I know, but they have heightened senses." I point to my ears.

Orion nods his head and pulls out his phone and begins typing; few seconds later he hands me the phone.

We need to draw them toward us, we can take them, and Allison can help. I know you care about Isaac he's your boyfriend but at the moment he's the enemy. So we need to distract them.

I look up at him and nod my head, I hate keeping mine and Isaac's agreement under wraps but if we want it to work we have too.

"What am I supposed to do? They aren't here to scare us. They are here to kill Lydia." Allison replied scared.

I walk forward and stand beside Stiles. I look to Allison seeing her look down at her phone.

"What's going on?" I asked Allison seeing as she is the one with the slightly more terrified look.

"I think I should call my dad." She responded looking down at her phone.

"Don't Allison. I can do this. Remember this is what I am born to do. I know you and I might not get along or even remotely like each other, but I know one thing, you trust me. If you didn't you would have already told your father what I am, and you haven't so I know deep down you trust me." I said as I walked forward and placed my hand on her shoulder, trying to offer comfort. Allison nodded her head and put her phone in her pocket.

"I got an idea." We both turn to Stiles who is looking at Allison's crossbow. "Just shoot one of 'em." Stiles said with all seriousness. I suddenly look out the window hoping that Isaac isn't there. He isn't there and that is when I run down the hall knowing he is trying to break in. I pull Orion toward my direction. I motion for him to go upstairs, he nods his head and complies.

I walk into the kitchen to see the door is open. I grab my knives and curse at myself. I run toward the door where Allison and Stiles were at to find Isaac cowering over Stiles. I run forward and Isaac turns around and grabs me by the neck. His eyes are Amber and I know he isn't in control but when he his eyes suddenly register who I am he dropped me down instantly. I look up at Isaac and his face is etched with guilt and self loathing. I try to reach for him but he shrinks back. I take another step forward until I have his back against the wall.

"Remember the plan." I whisper into his ear. He nods his head and shoves me back, not too forceful but enough to shove me a good distance. I instantly pull out my knives and we circle each other. Isaac charges toward me and I think back to my listens with Paige and Orion. I duck beneath his arms and sweep his legs out from under him. I place my knife against his throat.

"I'm sorry." I whisper.

"Somnus." I command as I touch his forehead and Isaac is immediately out cold.

I looked up to see Stiles looking at me in fear.

"Kanima it's here. Allison just called out." Stiles informed me.

"Orion, where are you." I called out.

Orion is breathing in heavily, and he shakes his head. "I saw it! Chased it onto the roof but it's strong." Orion said as he panted.

I looked to Stiles and we hear some clattering upstairs and I looked to Orion.

"Lydia?" I asked worriedly.

"She's locked in the bathroom. She's so scared, poor thing." Orion informed me. I nod my head feeling pity for the girl who had know idea what in the world was happening.

Scott suddenly comes bursting into the house just as Allison is walking down the stairs. He looked to me then to Isaac. "Did you do that?" Scott asked clearly enthralled.

I nodded my head and looked down at my hands, that were shaking. Scott immediately walks up to me and grabs my hands bringing my attention back to him.

"I know that had to have sucked, but thank you. I'm glad I've never doubted your loyalty and now I'm sure everyone sees where you truly stand. Thank you." Scott said his tone laces with commencement but with a hit of pity. He out of everyone really knows how much I love Isaac, he can see it, because he lives those feeling for Allison.

"Erica is upstairs, I poisoned her with Kanima venom." Allison said triumphantly. I arch my eyebrow and nod my head at her quick thinking.

Scott immediately runs upstair and drags Erica downstairs.

"Open the door, please." Scott said as he picked both bodies up. Stiles immediately ran toward the door and opened it. Scott easily flung the two bodies out the door.

He walked out and immediately I followed and behind me, Orion, Stiles, and Allison followed suit. We stood outside on his porch looking at Derek with his one remaining Beta.

"I think I know why you keep refusing me, Scott. You're not an Omega. You're already an Alpha of your own pack. But you know you can't beat me." Derek smiles at him confidently "Aria, I didn't want to believe that you would abandon me but from what I can see it's clear you have. What a shame, because you could have been very powerful." Derek coldly stated not meeting my eyes.

"I used to believe in you, Derek, and even though I am angry and hurt by you. I know this isn't you. You don't kill innocent girls." I said just as coldly and deadly as he.

Derek's eyes widen and a devious smirk crosses his face as he turns to look at me.

"I guess, you don't know me as well as you thought, because I will kill a girl. Remember though, she isn't innocent. She has killed." Derek stated.

"You will have to get through me then." I responded heatedly and before I know it Orion is by my side with his Katana sword ready.

"I am bigger, older, stronger, and better than all of you." Derek said.

"Yeah, well we might not be able to hurt you but we can hold you off until the cops get here." Scott stands beside me panting like he's ready for the fight and as if on cue we hear sirens in the distant. Derek's attitude changes from cocky to confused. Suddenly a hissing is heard above us and we all run down the porch and onto the front lawn to look up at Scott's roof. The Kanima is crawling up on his roof and when it sees us, it hisses and scurries off.

"Get them out of here." Derek commands Boyd. I looked down to Isaac and feel guilty and the overwhelming urge to go to him start inside me but I quickly suppress the feeling, knowing if I did our cover would be broken. Suddenly my emotions are replaced with shock when Lydia runs out the door.

"Would someone please tell me what the hell is going on?" She shouted at all of us.

I turn to Orion who's face is mirroring mine.

"It's Jackson."
