The sky was full of pale pinks and yellows as Christina came to a little farm. A little girl was crying by the barn, Christina got off of the horse and walked over to the girl "What's wrong sweetie?"

The girl looked up at her "my horses are gone."

Christina's eyes widened "Did one of the horses look like this?" She pulled out James' sketch book with the page opened at the picture of Joey. The little girl nodded "Do you know which way they went?"

"Yes but why?" The girl asked.

Christina kneeled by the girl. "That's my horse you see."

"If you find him, will you look after him and his friends" Christina nodded with a smile. "That's good. I will after my grandfather soon, he is very old and there is no one else to look after him. Oh sorry, my name is Emillie Grey" She held a hand out for her to shake.

Christina's eyes widened and shook her hand "Christina Narracott. By any chance, do you know anyone called Shannon Grey"

A voice spoke up from behind them "That's her grandmother" They jumped to see a man who must have been her grandfather. "My wife, she is somewhere in England. How did you know about her?"

"I help her out in the village along with her friends, she still thinks of you." Christina said, softly.

Emillie's grandfather started to tear up slightly. "You said something about a horse?" He asked, She nodded and pulled out the drawing of Joey. "Yes he was here. Was taken up to the front line. They took two horses by force, that one and a black one"

"that's my friends horse" Christina whispered. "Sir if you tell me where they went, I will reunite you with your wife if that is what you want"

"Deal" The grandfather held out his hand for her to shake. "Emillie, please collect a bag and put some food inside it for the beautiful woman." The little girl rushed into their small house and came out with some food. "Don't worry i'll bring him back soon" Emillie gave her the bag then a bg hug which Christina returned.

"Promise that you'll come back?" Emillie asked with big eyes.

Christina stroked her hair softly "I promise." The two smiled at each other and The grandfather and Christina shaked hands once again when Emillie released Christina who got back on her horse.

It took her days of tracking her Joey. It had been raining so she kept on Charlie's hat that she still had from a while ago when he came in with it. Almost all of her food was gone and she didn't sleep much so her eyes had heavy bags under them. It was only the sound on bombs going off and guns shooting kept her awake as she kept on getting closer to them. It was dark so when she reached the side on the front line, She left her horse by a tree away from the shells and things. The scream of Joey was heard which made Chris look at the battle field and ran to him. Chris climbed under the wire while missing the bombs and pellets from guns to try and get to Joey. "Shh Joey. look, it's me" Joey calmed down down soon as she said that. Thankfully Emillie packed wire cutters for her which she pulled out and cut them off of Joey. Once he was free Joey got up.

From the English side, James Nicholls was there being treated with Jamie and Charlie by his side "Where's Chris?" Jamie asked "Is he alright?"

"Does he still have my hat?" Charlie asked making the other two chuckle.

James shook his head. "I don't know but Chris is a woman" He then got a very dreamy look in his eyes "A very beautiful woman."

"You've fallen for her haven't you?" Smirked Charlie. Before James could reply, a man came down. "Sir, theres a woman in no man's land wearing your hat" The men looked at each other the Jamie and Charlie got up then looked at the man

"Make sure that Captain Nicholls doesn't leave" Jamie instructed the mumbled under his breath "Or else he might run into No Man's Land too" Jamie and Charlie came out in time to see that a bomb went off by Christina. "Nooo" the men shouted when they heard the scream but were relieved when they saw her on Joey's back after lots of struggling. Then they lost slight of her in the smoke and night.

On the way back Christina was blinded from the light of the explosion but only for a few days but still a little hard seeing some things. Both her and Joey were feeling a little better when they reached Emillie's home with the other horse. Emillie had seen them out the window and told her grandfather so it seemed like they had been packed and been waiting outside for a while. Emillie and her grandfather were on the other horse and Christina Stayed on Joey though it was clear that he was happy to see friendly faces. Each time that the horses had to do a little jump over something, Emillie giggled or laughed which brought smiles to both the Grandfathers and Christina's face.
