Chapter 7: The Mission for Music!

A/N: Warning! There be some dreams of naughtiness these here parts. If you don't want to read that stuff then skip over most of the second dream sequence, though it isn't all that much. You have been warned. Also don't worry people if that isn't your thing. It won't become the main focus of the story.

Also this is a really long chapter… Hopefully I included enough break points for people to take a rest from reading the story if they need it.

Ferna and Alice looked out over a very dilapidated building. "Three Dog didn't mention anything about the very small standing area out here." Ferna said to Alice.

Cheshire was on a beam of some kind perfectly safe, because of his cat balance, as he laughed. "Too bad you two can't disappear and reappear down there or something. I guess in a way Alice could, but I don't think her method would work with a passenger." The cat grinned at them.

Cheshire then disappeared only to reappear at the base of the half destroyed building where GNR was located. Alice rolled her eyes at the cat as he grinned at them and waited. Alice wasn't sure how to get down herself though. She eventually decided to try her triple jump and floating technique.

Alice jumped once then she twirled in midair before falling a few feet, and then twirled one last time. After her last jump, the dark haired girl gracefully landed on the ground with one leg tucked behind the other. She also noticed there seemed to be some kind of gently swirling wind and circling butterflies below as she floated down.

Ferna's jaw was hanging open. "What the…?" She started to ask how Alice did the floating thing, but shook her head and decided it was better not to ask. She also had to say she really enjoyed spectacle. It made Alice seem even more beautiful somehow.

Still she wished she could get down in some fancy way like Cheshire and Alice did. Ferna half wished she had a more 'normal' companion, but only half wished it. She wanted one in addition to Alice. There was no way the red head wanted to part company with the green eyed beauty, especially now that said beauty had a "freaking FatMan".

About five minutes later Ferna joined the others on the ground. She had to find ledges of debris at measured intervals to land on the ground in one piece. At least on the last one she slipped and managed to somehow do a flip before landing.

"Maybe I can make myself a flashy landing after all!" Ferna thought to herself with a huge smile.

She could see it now:

- Ferna dream sequence of awesome engage -

The three of them were in some settlement trapped on a rooftop for some reason. Ferna knew it was a cool reason at least.

First Alice floated down to the ground. The audience, that somehow was there, stared dumbstruck. Right when they recovered, Cheshire did his little 'blink' move.

After the observers to the awesomeness, finally partially recovered figuring Ferna at least would have to get down a normal way. The red head flipped on to different ledges before landing like an Olympic gymnast on the ground.

The audience then sighed and shook their heads. "Figures the legendary 101 and her friends would be just that awesome." One of the clearly awestruck citizens told the others.

"Yah. No wonder they did that super awesome thing they did in that one town just because they wondered close by it." A new fan added.

Ferna obviously overheard them and blushed to the praise. Alice then gave that small smile of her's as she whispered into Ferna's ear. "I knew I was, the really lucky one in our relationship."

Alice next gave Ferna a hug and a kiss on the cheek. The red head gave a coy sexy smile as she softly said, "I hope I get more than just a kiss on the cheek."

Cheshire rolled his eyes once again at the 'female bonding' as they called it.

Alice gave Ferna a melodious giggle as she leaned in and said in a low seductive voice, "Oh... I intend to give you much more than a kiss on the cheek, Ferna… But I don't think my plans would be safe for others to see out in the open."

Ferna blushed as they made their way to the hotel room they were renting. Once in the bedroom, Alice began to undress as she suddenly said in a voice too deep for her. "Are you just going to stand there and stare, Ferna?"

- Ferna dream sequence of awesome and inevitable sexiness terminated -

Ferna's mouth was in some kind of half drooling smile as she nodded and said, "uh-huh."

Cheshire gave a deep rumbling chuckle, which caused the red head to snap out of her daydream. Ferna blinked a few times, and wiped away some drool as she asked, "What?"

Cheshire broke out in a full laugh. Ferna still didn't get what was with the cat and all of this laughing. If his voice wasn't so deeply melodious and swoon inducing, she might have said something about it by now.

Alice gave a cough, and a slight glare at Cheshire, before saying, "I believe we have a mission to do. I am not as familiar with the Pip-Boy map like you are Ferna, so if you don't mind would you please lead us?"

Ferna was secretly glad for Alice getting them back on track. She nodded and they walked a few yards before they came to a dead end wall.

Ferna gave a sigh as she said, "It looks like we will have to go underground this time…. In the sewers…."

Alice frowned. "Are you sure? We can't just create a shortcut again?"

Ferna shook her head in the negative. Cheshire gave a bored yawn as he spoke. "We could just 'appear' at the destination…. But then again you two aren't Cheshire cats so I guess that is completely out of the question… Plus at that distance 'blinking' as Ferna has come to mentally call it. Can be rather problematic."

Ferna gasped in surprise. She hadn't told anyone she was calling his mode of transit 'Blinking'. "Can you…" She then saw Alice's sideways glance and decided not to question it as they pressed on wards following the cursor on her HUD.

Alice gave a frown as she finally asked, "How do you know where to go even with the Pip-boy map, Ferna?"

Ferna looked at her for a second and said, "The cursor on my HUD. I set it for the Galaxy News Radio quest."

Alice fiddled with her own Pip-boy as did Cheshire his. He once again showed his uncanny ability to figure things out and soon gave another smug smile. Alice seemed to be having trouble with hers though.

"How do you that? I see a cursor but it is pointing in a different direction." Alice said. She was still new to Pip-boys, she had more or less figured out VATS and the inventory thing but that was it.

Ferna then walked over closer to Alice and said seductively, "After this mission, I will give you a personal lesson."

Alice's eyes unfocused as she had visions in her head playing out.

- Ferna dream sequ… I mean... Alice dream sequence engage -

Alice and Ferna were in the 'guest' wing of the GNR building after their mission. Both girls were recovering from their mission, covered in a light sweat with their clothes in worse shape than usual. Alice was blushing at the low lighting in the room and the music playing on GNR.

Ferna gave a coy smile and sat right next to Alice on the bed. She leaned in real close and said, "Sooo... are you ready for your private lesson Alice?"

"I think I am… Professor Ferna…" Alice said with a light blush. She was feeling a little naughty using that term. It made her think of a naughty student/teacher relationship going on. It was taboo, but oh so enticing.

Ferna gave her a raised eyebrow and a smug smile as she said, "Well I think it is a good thing Cheshire is busy spending some much needed 'guy-time' with Three Dog then. I have a lot to teach you, Miss Liddell."

Ferna then stood up and said, "But first I think we should get a little more comfortable. After all these clothes of ours are about to fall off as is. Better not damage them further by accident."

Alice sat there blushing as she watched the beautiful red haired girl in front of her. She swore Ferna's hair was a gift from God in this dreary world.

Alice's eyes grew in excitement as she was once again about to see what Ferna was hiding under her clothes. Alice had only gotten one real good look but she wanted more and she wanted to thoroughly…. Study… yeah lets go with study… Ferna's body.

Ferna slipped out of her armored vault suit, and slowly pulled down her blue panties. Alice once again blushed as she looked over Ferna's most private region.

Ferna gave a smile as she said, "Well are you going to just stand there? After all I think I should get a little something for teaching you all about Pip-boys. Don't you agree Miss Liddell?"

Alice's green eyes glowed with lust as she nodded her head, and made her way over to Ferna. Once she was in front of the red haired goddess, she got on her knees. Alice took in the sight at her eye level. She then took a deep sniff. She could smell a lovely mixture of Ferna's arousal and some sweat.

Alice was just about to enjoy her most favorite taste, when she heard a deep voice from behind her say. "Well, Come now Alice… As Rabbit would say. Don't dawdle!"

- Ferna... ahem … Alice dream sequence of personal sexy lessons terminated -

Alice had a forced smile on her face and a faraway look in her eyes, before she frowned and said quietly, "Cheshire… you should be having 'Guy-time' with Three Dog right now…"

"As entertaining and enjoyable as I am sure our DJ friend is. We should probably finish up this mission first I think. Don't you agree Ferna?" Cheshire said.

Ferna would have replied, but she was too busy enjoying Alice's smile and look before the cat ruined it. Cheshire shook his head and once again thought he was the only sane one of their group… and that was really saying something…

"Would you two please stop staring off into space? I thought you two were all about your mission to bring good music to all of the Wasteland, so you could hear it whenever you wanted to over the radio…" He said with a sigh.

Green eyes and blue eyes narrowed in determination. "He's right! We must bring good music to the Wasteland Ferna! You can give me all of the private lessons you want afterwards!" Alice spoke first.

Ferna turned around and led the way. "Alright everyone we have to go into the Metro Junction entrance here. It will lead us into a network of tunnels, which we can follow to the DC Capital Mall. The Mall is where we will find both the Museum of Technology and the Washington Monument."

Ferna was in serious mode again as was Alice. Cheshire just gawked… He still found it a bit jarring the changes they made so quickly.

Ferna continued as they walked, "In the tunnels, we will come across several feral ghouls. They are similar to Gob, but they aren't as nice and will attack anything. We can use the Pip-boy lights if needed, but they might draw extra attention."

Cheshire was about to ask her something when she answered him, "To turn on the light just turn the display light nob all the way up. It will make it easier to find us if we bother to sneak, but it was also make it much easier to see in the dark."

Cheshire blinked his cat eyes… He was reluctant to admit it, but he was impressed by Ferna when she got like this.

Alice spoke next, "The Mall is a war-zone Correct? Between the Brotherhood of Steel and the Super Mutants?"

Ferna nodded as they stood outside the entrance to the metro tunnels. "Remember Mutants are big and strong, but not always the brightest. Alice it might be best if you use the assault rifle I gave you earlier, on the smaller groups. Ammo might be hard to find down there so we should try to conserve it in some fashion."

Alice nodded, "I will only use Sarah and my flamer if we come across a large ground of ferals."

"Once we get into the mall we might also have to worry about Talon Company mercs." Ferna said seriously. She then smiled and said, "On the plus side, it will mean lots more ammo for our guns and your missile launcher as well as grenades for me."

Cheshire had finally recovered from his earlier surprise, and gave his infamous grin once more. "So you are saying we should kill as many of them as we can without them getting the jump on us?"

Ferna gave a smirk as she held Sierra, her Chinese assault rifle, pointing towards the air with one hand. "Yep… They aren't good people, and I figure we can make better use of their weapons and armor than they can."

Cheshire gave a chuckle of approval. "I like the way you are thinking. Do you think you could maybe figure something out that I could use, Ferna?"

He felt a little left out honestly. Sure he loved his claws, and it was so satisfying to use them, but Alice and Ferna had picked up some really awesome looking things on the way. He figured his claws and Pip-boy might not be enough eventually too.

Ferna looked him over. She then gave a smile. "I might be able to figure something out. It will take time though."

Cheshire grinned as he said, "I am the essence of patience dear Ferna." Alice rolled her eyes and he added, "When I want to be and can afford it that is."

The trio braced their selves to enter the metro tunnels. Ferna and Alice both were squatting down to sneak, and Cheshire was ready to attack. Ferna looked the other two over and nodded to them as she opened the maintenance door to the side of the main gate.

{-} {-} {-}

The trio paused inside the maintenance room for a few minutes to let their eyes adjust to the darkness. Oddly enough there was enough emergency lighting that they didn't really need their Pip-boy lights to see. At least that was the case in this section.

"I wonder if we will find the Metro Junction version of Lug Nut here." Alice said quietly. Ferna and Cheshire both easily laughed to this. Alice wasn't done yet though. "If we do. I will simply tell him I am sorry, but I plan on putting the Naughty Nightwear to good use."

Ferna had a dreamy expression on her face. She then gave a frown and said, "I am still waiting for you to put it on display for me Alice."

The dark haired girl blushed. She had had many dreams and fantasies about her being extremely bold in that department, but she was actually kind of reserved usually. She decided next time they stayed the night somewhere after a mission she would wear it. She also needed to use that painspike raider armor, or whatever it was called, she sneaked as well sometime for Ferna.

Instead she said, "Duly noted…" She then cleared her throat and said, "Anyways shall we carry on then?"

Ferna nodded and slowly sneaked her way to the door to the main part of the tunnel. She was going to use the utmost caution until they had a feel for these tunnels… or got bored of sneaking around, whichever came first really.

The first thing she saw was raider graffiti. She gave a bored sigh. "Looks like we will have to worry about raiders as well… I wish they carried around better weapons. I can't do much with a pool cue… Let's be careful just in case though…. For now." The others nodded as they continued to move.

{-} {-} {-}

It had been a while since they first entered, and they hadn't seen any signs of raiders or ghouls. They only saw one protectron patrolling the area. It was in perfect and clean condition so they knew this wasn't Mr. McBadass the Protectron, who somehow ripped through raiders with little damage, or anything like that.

Ferna and Alice were feeling a little weary and disappointed. They were all ready for a fight and they hadn't found one yet. It was a letdown so far.

Alice sighed just as they heard a yell of "Get 'em!" followed by a few crazed laughs in the distance. They weren't sure who or what the raiders were fighting though. A little bit after the yell they heard a loud growl of some kind.

"Ferals." Said Alice and Ferna together. They then looked to each other and shared a small smile as they sneaked a little faster towards the battle. Might as well join in on the fun. They were coming into a large open area on the upstairs portion.

Ferna decided it was a good time to try out her new sniper rifle. Alice pulled out her Missile Launcher. The two girls came into the open area, and heard growls and gunshots from below them.

Ferna noticed there was a Sniper on top of a wrecked train car shooting about. She immediately raised her sniper rifle and took aim through the scope. One loud shot later and the raider sniper's head exploded into bloody chunks. The others were too busy fighting each other to take notice.

Alice took aim with her launcher from atop the escalator and fired. She watched as the missile flew and exploded right in the middle of three ghouls and two raiders fighting. A few hands and a couple of legs flew through the air. Two fighters remained.

Alice loaded another round and fired again at the same group. This time she aimed at one of the two fighters. Her missile flew and exploded on the reaming ghoul's chest. This also killed the raider as well.

Cheshire blinked towards three raiders, who had just killed two ghouls. "What the Fuck are you?" One asked in surprise.

Cheshire grinned as he said in his deep voice, "I am your reaper." He then launched himself at one and slashed the raider's throat. He then bounded off of the raider's chest and threw himself at the female raider.

He slashed deeply across her stomach. The female raider's guts spilled out on to the floor as she tried to shove them back inside before dying.

The last raider looked at the cat and said, "Demon! To hell with this!" The last raider then started to run as fast as he could.

Cheshire grinned viciously as he blinked again and swiped with his claws hard enough to decapitate the fleeing raider. "You should have known better than to try and outrun a supposed demon." He said to the headless body. He then got ready to attack a couple of ferals that just downed a different raider.

Ferna tossed a few grenades before popping up over the wall she was using as cover, and blasted away with Sierra. She wasn't aiming actually and still managed to land a few hits.

The trio of raiders charged her, and were just in range of her frag grenades as they landed and exploded. Body parts flew as she ended the alive and suffering crippled raider with a VATS headshot.

Alice decided to conserve ammo by using some of her tried and true tactics. Alice pressed a button on a familiar box and then tossed it down the escalator ramp that a few of the remaining raiders were going to use to come for her. The group ducked on instinct when they saw the box coming towards them.

"Heh. A child's toy? That the best ya got? Where is that missile launcher of yours now Missy?" One raider in metal armor taunted.

Alice then threw some of her playing cards at his side. The raider as predicted rolled to the left and next to her Jack-bomb. The other raiders came next to him as well, bolstered by his taunt.

They all looked towards the 'toy' as they heard the tune come to an end. Right as it ended the jack popped out and unleashed its intense flame. The lightly armored raiders quickly started to burn and melt alive.

The metal armored raider screamed in agony as the excessively hot flame immediately started boiling him in his metal armor. It was only because of Alice's Jack-bomb that the results of the fire were instantaneous, and the poor condition of his armor though, but that was enough. Alice had counted on that anyways.

Alice then sent several cards at the targets to end them sooner. The Jack-bomb then exploded as the fire died, thus sending the bodies away from the escalator ramp. The dark haired girl let out a breath in relief, when she heard a couple of growls.

She looked down to see three ghouls headed her way. She was about to pull out her assault rifle when she saw Ferna slip into VATS, and take out all three with a combination of head shots and body shots.

Once it was quiet again. Ferna gave a smile and said, "Well that was fun. I was beginning to think this trip would be boring." Alice gave a smile in reply.

Cheshire was grinning as he said, "I think I am liking it here even more now. Those wonderful raiders were kind enough to call me Demon, before I killed them."

Ferna gave a small laugh to the cat. Alice let out an exaggerated sigh as she said, "Demon…. 101… I am beginning to feel left out. I'm the only one without an official nickname in our group." Alice then gave a smile to her friends, who laughed for a couple of seconds, before going on further.

{-} {-} {-}

The trio had found most of the rest of their trip to the Capital Mall rather sub-par after the intense three way battle they just came from earlier. They had come across a few ghouls on the way in small numbers. This meant the wasteland wanderers made quick work of them.

"Rawwaarggh!" shouted another ghoul. It would have charged the adventurers, but before it could, five extremely sharp and large playing cards sliced him to parts.

The squatting ghoul next to the now diced one, would have attacked in retribution, but his head was greeted by a bullet. The ghoul's head was so excited by this meeting it exploded.

Two ghouls then came from around the corner in the train tunnel. They each growled as well, but were soon after sliced to pieces by razor sharp cat claws.

"This is rather boring don't you think? They let out a growl before charging us? What is the purpose? They are only giving us an edge." Cheshire said.

"I don't know." Ferna said. She was wondering that as well. Alice just remained silent on the matter. Her thoughts had already been voice by both Ferna and Cheshire.

They marched further, and came across another large room where the metro would have picked up passengers when it was in service. "Well we need to go upstairs here and then to the right. According to my cursor and map, that should put us in the Mall at least." Ferna said to her companions.

The group saw three Ferals crouched around a burning trash can. Ferna secretly wondered who set the fire. She doubted the ghouls had enough awareness to do such a thing.

As predicted, the three ghouls growled at them before charging. Alice, Ferna and Cheshire made quick work of them.

This time though they heard several growls in reply. They then looked up, and saw 14 ghouls running at them from upstairs and eight more from below. Ferna gave a nervous chuckle before going into combat mode.

The red head threw two grenades and fired her gun at them. She took out three ghouls and damaged one other one. There seemed to be some tougher ghouls in this lot. She jumped to the left as she threw a frag mine in front of her.

Ferna was now behind a wall as she fired her gun at the ghouls. She took out the stronger one, but two others were going for her. They stepped on her mind and started limping quickly towards her. She slipped into VATS and lined of three shots quickly.

Her first head shot missed, but the body shot landed on the one to the left. Her last shot was another head shot and she hit, but this ghoul wasn't dead yet surprisingly.

The two ghouls were on her now. She quickly jumped back. She pulled out a combat knife, and slashed without really paying attention. Fortunately, she managed to land hits and kill the two ghouls.

{-} {-} {-}

As the ghouls roared, Alice pulled out her missile launcher again. She quickly fired a round at the top of the escalator ramp. It landed just in time to explode on four ghouls and kill them. However, the others started to get a little smarter, and started using the other ramps to get down below. She also could have sworn she saw more coming to join the battle.

Alice quickly threw out a clockwork bomb. Three ghouls who had managed to get close to her stared at it as it exploded dealing some concussive damage to them, but not enough to kill. Alice quickly pulled out her assault rifle and fired several shots. She managed to kill three using VATS, but that was all.

Soon most of the other ghouls were now on the ground charging the separated members of the group. Alice gave "tsk" and pulled out her trusty blade. This was going to get messy, but now she knew why they growled like that, and why they were to be feared.

Cheshire immediately went into action once the large group of ghouls came for them. He knew these enemies wouldn't care how demonic looking he was. He saw Ferna take out a few quickly, but the red head missed seeing two ghouls already on the ground.

He Blinked over to them and swiped with his claws. He killed the first one, but the other must have been stronger and even looked a little bit different. The other ghoul swiped with his hands.

Cheshire felt the sting of the hit, but instantly retaliated and killed the monster. He then saw a group of four ghouls coming around from behind. He guessed the ones upstairs found several ways to get below.

Cheshire grinned. "Puuurrrfect! This is real fight." He said before disappearing and reappearing behind one of the ghouls in the group of four. Cheshire used his paws to grab the thing's head. He then used his strength to snap the neck.

Right away he had to dodge an attack from one of the others. As he disappeared, another ghoul was close enough to actually get hit by the attacker. The second ghoul then started to attack the other one.

While the two were distracted with each other, Cheshire blinked over to the fourth ghoul that had kept going for Ferna. The girl was too busy fighting off some others that she didn't notice him. Cheshire wasn't about to let one of his friends get hurt if he could help it though, despite his teasing of them.

He quickly appeared before the fourth ghoul and viciously swiped at its chest. Irradiated blood spurted on him has he finished the thing. He then blinked back to easily take out the victor of the impromptu ghoul vs. ghoul fight. He didn't really bother to check on Alice at this time, because he knew she would be alright.

Ferna swiped at another ghoul with her combat knife to kill it. She saw two ghouls jump towards her. She quickly pulled out her good old laser pistol and shot several shots at them. The last of the jumping ghouls turned to ash inches from her face.

She had lost count of the ghouls they had killed, and she had suffered some injuries. It seemed like there were no end to them suddenly. She vowed never to underestimate feral ghouls again. Ferna was relieved she learned this lesson before it was too late.

Alice saw several ghouls charging her. She closed her eyes and reopened them. Her green eyes seemed to be filled with some dark glow as she charged forward and slashed with her Vorpal Blade. She shifted to the left just as one attacked her from behind. She immediately responded with a reverse slash that decapitated the ghoul.

Alice didn't pause for even a moment to savor the victory. She burst into butterflies and materialized with her assault rifle and fired several shots from VATS. She killed three ghouls this way.

Once her VATS was used up, Alice immediately butterflied over to three ghouls, and started striking true with her trusty blade again. After that, she butterflied again, and killed two more.

Alice tossed out a Jack-bomb and shot it right away, causing it to explode on five ghouls. She now found herself next to Ferna. The red head fired three shots from her laser pistol and took out two more ghouls. "Well seems we are getting a bit of a workout now. Huh?"

Three more ghouls came running down one of the escalator ramps. Ferna threw three grenades and used VATS to shoot them when they right in front of the ghouls. Once the grenades exploded all three would be attackers died. "Looks like it." Ferna casually responded.

Cheshire gave a menacing hiss that caused the ghouls surrounding him to actually pause. Cheshire capitalized on this moment. He did a wide and long swipe that took out three at once.

The cat then disappeared and reappeared after snapping another neck and catching the last ghoul with a powerful swipe. He then blinked over to Alice and Ferna. "Good evening ladies. Any ideas on what to do now?" He asked plainly.

Ferna smiled as she said, "Out last them… I don't see that much more red on my HUD."

Alice blinked her eyes. "I didn't see much to begin with though…"

Ferna shrugged her shoulders as she said, "Maybe I just have better perception than you then. Or maybe I am just more familiar with Pip-Boys and know how to boost their FOF Identifier software."

Two more groups of ghouls came after them. One group had two and the other had four. The trio of Wasteland explorers grinned. It was perfect. Two more each.

Ferna used VATS and shot her laser pistol on the smaller group.

Alice and Cheshire used their respective moves to get right in front of the larger group and swiftly take out the last of the ghouls. Once the ghoul bodies fell to floor or were vaporized. The group used this chance to quickly heal and loot.

{-} {-} {-}

"Why in the world would a ghoul be holding on to several shots of 5mm ammo?" Alice asked aloud.

"You tell me." Ferna replied she then shook her head in confusion as she said, "Why would a ghoul have several packs of laser gun ammo and an assault rifle?"

Cheshire gave a chuckle of amusement. "Perhaps they take after us… Meaning they pick up things at random, and sometimes for no real reason."

The girls each gave a "humph" in response.

After the trio had looted all of the dead ghouls and ash piles, they found some surprising finds. Alice found some more missiles. Ferna found some armor to repair her current getup and a laser pistol to use for replacement parts. Cheshire found some very good trade items, and some medical supplies.

Once they were finished looting, the group found a good sized stash of ammo boxes. Ferna picked the locks on all of them. Alice volunteered to help, but Ferna insisted she wanted to pick them all.

"You know for practice!" She said to her friends.

Alice and Cheshire smiled and rolled their eyes. They knew Ferna got a thrill from picking locks. Just like she did for hacking computer terminals when they found them as well. It didn't matter to her if it was turret control computer and they had already destroyed all of the turrets.

"Alright… I say we try to sneak our way to the Museum of Technology. I don't feel like getting too involved with the super mutants at this moment. What do you two think?" Ferna asked.

"I agree with you Ferna. As much as I would love to fight these supers, win, and get their ammo I think we should play it safe for now. Maybe I am just a little shaken up after those ghouls though…" Alice said.

Cheshire looked rather serious as he said, "There's an ugly name for those who do things the hard way." The cat then gave a simple smile. "I have never been a fan of ugly names, so I say caution is our best bet in this matter. You lead and we will undoubtedly follow, dear Ferna."

Ferna nodded and crouched down to be extra safe before opening the exit door from the metro tunnels.

Alice decided to be armed with Sarah just in case.

Cheshire wished he could use something better weapon wise for moments like this, but he couldn't. Instead he just got more ready to attack. Maybe we would learn how to use hand grenades later or something.

{-} {-} {-}

When they exited into the evening sky, Ferna immediately noticed there were maybe four or five signatures on her HUD registering as hostiles. She turned to Alice and Cheshire and held up five fingers before pointing above. Alice and Cheshire saw the enemies on their own HUDs, and they nodded.

Ferna ran forward while still crouched. When she was close to the top she turned around and pointed her gun towards where the enemies were. She knew Sierra would be decent enough for the fight.

Alice caught up to Ferna and turned around as well. They both saw Cheshire wait at the bottom. They already knew what he was going to do. They didn't like it, but they knew it would be effective.

Once the two girls took opposite sides of the metro entrance and crept closer, they saw Cheshire disappear and reappear right on top of one of the Super mutants. "Yeargggh!" One shouted. Cheshire got in some good hits, but blinked away before he could be struck back.

Once the cat disappeared again, Ferna and Alice immediately slipped into VATS and targeted the supers. The girl unleashed their weapons on the supers and right away took out three of them.

The last two responded and started shooting at each of the girls. One gave a cheerful shout as he fired a minigun at Alice. The other just had a simple hunting rifle, but the other mutant easily provided sporadic cover fire for the both of them. The group were hoping it didn't attract any attention from the other supers in the area.

Cheshire decided to take advantage of the super mutants focused attacks on his companions. He wasn't happy about this, but it was the best way to end this battle. Cheshire appeared right behind the minigun mutant.

The cat grabbed the gun's ammo belt and yanked on it. He was hoping to break the chain somehow. Instead he got a much better result.

The super mutant was firing chaotically, and so when the cat yanked on the ammo belt. The super mutant turned and fired on his own companion.

The hunting rifle mutant wasn't ready for the minigun fire, and soon was torn to shreds by it. At that time, Alice and Ferna slipped into VATS and targeted the super's body.

It was only a couple of seconds after the hunting rifle mutant died, that his buddy was ripped to shreds by gun fire from the girls. Cheshire had gotten out of the way right when the first super started shooting the other one.

The girls were about to sigh in relief when they soon heard gun fire nearby. Ferna right away dived to the other side of her cover as she heard gunshots bounce off of the wall. There were three more mutants, who seemed to be on patrol firing at them.

Alice butterflied to a different piece of cover from her own. Once she was behind the wall, she pulled out her missile launcher. The dark haired girl slipped into VATS and fired two missile shots with a quick reload in the middle at the new mutants.

Unfortunately the dark haired beauty was hit by a couple of shots in the process. She winced as she hissed in pain, but smiled knowing she had taken one out at least. She was also lucky the caliber of the bullet was small as well.

Ferna growled when she saw Alice was hit. She burst out from behind her cover and tossed several grenades at the two remaining supers. She then slipped into VATS which seemed to show time flowing by even slower than usual. She quickly lined up several headshots more than she should have been able to do.

Once she accepted the shots Sierra fired true and sent the entire burst of gunfire right into the head of the first super for one 'shot' on her VATS list. She then skipped the others and immediately shot at the other super mutant. Once again her first shot struck truer than ever before.

When the last green skinned body fell, Ferna rushed over to Alice. "Alice, are you okay?!"

Alice winced again as she nodded. "I think I am… it still hurts a little bit… maybe a shot of Med-X to help?" She asked.

Ferna was about to give it to her when a large cat paw stopped her. "Alice… No… That stuff shouldn't be used lightly. You are strong… You can make it through a couple of gunshot wounds. Besides the stimpak is working already."

Alice looked a little embarrassed as she said, "Sorry… I just hadn't been actually shot in a long time…. I panicked a little… I don't need or want the Med-X shot."

She frowned to herself as she remembered her last experience with Med-X. It was hard to believe it wasn't all that long ago actually.

Alice got up. She gave a small wince, but it was much smaller than the last one. She gave a smile and said, "Soooo…. Shall we loot the bodies then? I call dibs on the one with the minigun." Ferna couldn't help but give a chuckle.

The group looted the bodies and were now staring at what looked like a bag of body parts. "Soooo… Are one of you two going to check that gore bag?" Cheshire asked with a smirk.

The two girls looked at one another as if they were deciding something. Ferna spoke next. "Okay I will take the six over there. You take the six here Alice."

Alice nodded and the two started looting. Cheshire's jaw actually dropped as he watched the two. "I guess nothing is sacred when it comes to looting for these two…" the cat gave a dark chuckle at his thoughts.

{-} {-} {-}

After their initial contact with the DC Mall, things had gone surprisingly well for the trio of friends. They had come across a trio of super mutants, but suddenly a group of five Talon Company mercs appeared and started opening fire on the supers.

The trio of Wasteland explorers just watched the carnage in front of them. "Does any have pop-corn? I love it when you can just watch two evil factions go at it with each other." Ferna shook her head.

Alice had an odd look on her face as she soon pulled something out of her inventory. "Will chips do instead? They are over 200 years old, but as we have noticed they still taste pretty good." Cheshire nodded as he started munching on the 200+ year old potato chips.

Once the Talon mercs were dead, Ferna pulled out her sniper rifle and lined up a headshot and fired on the remaining mostly dead super mutant. She smiled as they went to loot the bodies. "I told you we would be able to make better use of Talon Company's supplies than them." Alice gave a giggle as she made some quick repairs to Sarah.

Ferna looked over the combat armor. It was heavy, but she wanted it. She picked up several and made repairs to one of the combat armor suits. She wasn't going to wear it just yet. She really didn't like the Talon Company logo. She would fix that once she had a workbench in her Megaton home.

Alice looked at her inventory screen and frowned. "Really I can only carry 250 pounds?! What is up with that?! I want to carry more…. What if I see a wonderful new heavy gun to carry…?" She frowned deeper as she almost whined, "I don't want to have to give up Sarah or Leo!"

"Leo…?" Ferna asked. She decided not to comment on carry weight… She could only carry 220 pounds currently.

Alice looked to her and said, "Yes I am thinking that is what I will call my missile launcher."

Ferna just nodded. Cheshire gave a grin as he said, "Well I for one have always thought everything needs a name. Leo sounds adequate for a missile launcher."

{-} {-} {-}

Alice seemed kind of quiet as they made their way to the Museum of Technology. Ferna was a little concerned, but once they came in sight of the place Alice seemed to brighten up. She even spoke. "I think it is exciting to go into here. Can we take some time to look around Ferna?" Alice then begged only a little bit. "Please?"

Ferna thought for a moment and decided this would be something that made Alice really happy. She also figured a really happy Alice meant that things could happen after the mission between the two of them…

- Yet another Ferna daydream starts -

Ferna and Alice were standing in the planetarium after having completed the tour of the museum. Alice turned to Ferna and spoke in a low sexy voice. "Thank you so much Ferna. You have no idea what it means to me that you are letting me look around and telling me all about everything."

Ferna gave a laugh. "I think I do judging from how happy you were Alice. You were almost bouncing around everywhere."

Ferna then gave the dark haired girl a sexy smile as she said, "Not that I mind watching you bounce around… I have to say you are probably the most desirable person I have ever met."

Alice blushed as she looked to Ferna and said, "Well then… I ought to return the favor… It is only proper."

Ferna gave a giggle. "How do you plan to do that Alice?"

"Britain may have never done a manned mission to space… But I plan on doing a womanned mission all over planet Ferna for the land of Alice." Alice then stepped closer and wrapped her arms around Ferna.

Ferna just gave a smile as she said, "Feel free to try and claim planet Ferna for the land of Alice."

Alice giggled and had just started undressing when suddenly Ferna heard her ask, "Pleaseeee Ferna… I want to know how technology advanced from the industrial ages. I think that would be wonderful… I know this is America, but I can imagine that Britain was about the same technology wise or something."

- Once again Ferna daydream terminated right before the 'Good part' -

Ferna blinked a few times. She then took in her surroundings and saw Alice's uncharacteristic but oh so adorable pleading face.

The red haired girl smiled. "Sure once we kill of all of the supers inside we can take our time and look around Alice. I will even tell you everything you want to know about it. I was taught a good bit about the past when I was schooled in the vault."

Alice then gave Ferna a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you, Ferna." Alice said breathlessly. She wanted to add an 'I love you', but she couldn't for some reason.

Ferna was surprised at first, but she soon absorbed all of Alice's affection in that hug and kiss on the cheek she could. Hell this made everything worth it. So what if they had to sneak around an active war-zone, and go through the hell of the tunnels to get here. If it made Alice happy it was worth it, as far as Ferna cared.

The group entered the museum crouching. They were glad they did when they saw three supers in the entrance lobby. Alice pulled out her missile launcher. She would have to be careful, she was getting low on missiles. She was now down to 12.

Alice lined up a headshot on one in VATS. She accepted her target and immediately shot a missile to a super mutant. The super turned around and took the missile right in his face. Alice had expected his head to explode. Instead surprisingly he was still alive…

"How in the….." Alice asked before dodging gun fire. She pulled out her assault rifle and targeted the same mutant again. She noticed it still had a decent bit of life left. It was called a Super Mutant master. He seemed to be firing a gun similar to Ferna's Sierra, but weaker.

Alice targeted his head until her allotted shots in VATS were used up. Once she accepted, she fired several times. Half her shots missed. It made sense since he was all the way across the room from them. However, the other half of her shots were enough to kill the so called Master.

While Alice was going for the Super Master, Ferna targeted a brute with her sniper rifle. She pulled off two shots before he caught on and started dodging.

Ferna wasn't discouraged though. She just pulled out her Favorite weapon and let Sierra unleash her fury on the Super Mutant Brute in VATS. The thing soon died obviously.

Cheshire rolled his eyes at the girls. He looked around and noticed something really heavy and sharp hanging above another Super Mutant Brute. He targeted the object and gave a wicked grin before he unleashed his claws and sent the object crashing down. The poor Super Mutant Brute never knew what hit him, as he was pierced with several hard sturdy sharp pieces of metal all at once.

"I'm gonna get ya!" it shouted before firing a few assault rifle rounds at the cat. Cheshire managed to blink away just in time before then coming back to deliver the fatal blow to his target.

The trio might have celebrated their victory, but they heard another voice say something. "What was that?!" The group dived behind the reception desk and hopped they wouldn't be spotted.

A couple more mutants came out of some doors and looked around for a few minutes. Finally one spoke, "Guess it was nothing." The patrol then headed back into their hall, and didn't seem to care about their dead comrades at all.

"Okay…." Ferna said as she tried to catch her breath. "We need a plan." Cheshire nodded in agreement. Alice seemed to be thinking over something.

"Maybe we can find a place here to lead them to and use a choking point and some traps to take them on? I bet if one of us is loud enough to get their attention, we can bring a lot of them to the trap area and then take them out." Alice said.

Ferna thought about that and hooked up her Pip-boy to one of the computers near them. She hacked her way to a map of the place and nodded in thought. "Ok there are a couple of places we can do that Alice. I think we should use them both. This place is large enough that just one trap place won't cut it."

The friends then came up with a plan. As they made preparations, Alice decided to point out the vault tour area. "Do you think we could use that for something Ferna?"

The red head looked over the place and after a few minutes smiled as she got to work. "Sure. There is only one working control panel since it is just for display purposes. The panel on the inside works, but the one out here doesn't. I say we close off this door, set up our traps, and then bring them in here. The hall is a little wide but only one super at a time could fit."

Ferna then smiled brighter. "If this works it will make things easier. We can use these crates here as cover. Despite being here for display purposes, they are actually real vault storage crates."

The red haired girl frowned in thought. "Now we just need to get someone to act as bait…." The group wasn't sure what to do here.

Cheshire didn't want to be bait. Sure he had his move, but if it got to be too much, he would have problems keeping the lead on his pursuers.

Ferna didn't want to be in charge of getting the supers to follow her. She wasn't the fastest of the group. Also she would have to engage them to keep their attention probably, and not actual die.

Alice thought over all of their options. She eventually gave a sigh. "I will be bait…" She said to the others.

Ferna was about to protest, but Alice cut her off. "I have my butterfly dodge move. I have decent armor. And lastly I have my clockwork bomb. These supers are dumb enough to immediately go for it instead of me if I get in a tight spot." Alice gave a warm smile to Ferna.

Ferna frowned and said, "But… Alice… that's dangerous…"

Alice looked her in the eyes and said. "This whole place is dangerous period, Ferna. This is the best option. I don't like it, but it is the best option, and you know it."

Ferna sighed. Alice gave a smile and said, "Look at this way Ferna. Once we finish this up you will just have to make a special drink to commemorate the occasion. Also… if it bothers you make sure those personal lessons are more than worth all of this." Alice gave Ferna a sultry wink and smile.

Ferna gave Alice a hug and said, "I will make sure you learn everything, and reward you more than tenfold for learning it all." Alice really liked the sound of that. She was hoping maybe that meant her dream would come true.

{-} {-} {-}

After the group had set up their traps and Ferna closed off the door on the other side, Alice slowly made her way further into the museum. She noticed the long hall in the vault tour and decided to add in a couple of extra mines for extra effect. Might as well make sure the supers are as damaged as possible before they come to the other end of the vault tour wing.

Alice stepped into a large area of the museum. She wanted to look at everything thing here, but knew she needed to take care of her task first.

She saw three supers below her. They hadn't noticed her yet. She gave a smirk and aimed a Jack-bomb right in the middle of them. She waited until it was a little into the song before tossing it.

The Jack-bomb landed in the middle of the supers just as it finished the tune. "What in the world?" Asked one of the mutants as the thing spewed fire at them all.

They quickly got out of its range and looked up at Alice. "Yearrggghg!" One shouted as the Jack-bomb exploded. This got the attention of a more mutants.

Alice ducked and dodged some gun fire. She then shouted, "Hey you foul mouthed scum! I bet you can't get me!" She then did a childish motion with her tongue to further enrage them. It did the trick and she made her way to the trap area.

Alice had her assault rifle out and would occasionally shoot a round at the mutants. She didn't really aim and usually missed, but the muties followed her anyways. The plan was working so far at least.

A missile whizzed a couple of inches away from her. Alice's green eyes widened as she paused in fear. She ended up taking a couple of shots as a result. Alice grimaced and kept going to the trap area. She was a might bit slower now though.

She still could use her dodge move, but it really hurt. She started using a combination of gun fire and clockwork bombs as a way to get them to keep following. She dodged a little too slowly as her arm was grazed by a bullet.

Alice winced and tried hard not to let her tears of pain fall from her eyes. She panicked again as she saw a missile fire at her.

Alice used her dodge move. Time seemed to really slow down as the missile was inches from hitting her in the face, before she burst into butterflies.

When she re-materialized she coughed up a little blood and collapsed to the floor. She quickly tossed out a clockwork bomb to distract the mutants. She wasn't sure why it worked, but she was grateful it did.

Alice hissed in pain as she moved again. She had to jump to the side of the corridor before the trap area and landed on one of her own mines. Alice wasn't thinking and burst into butterflies again.

The dark haired girl again collapsed to the floor. She barely threw out the rabbit shaped bomb. However, she took a few hits as a result. She collapsed to the floor as she heard the bomb's clock tick to an end and explode.

The girl immediately threw out another bomb just in time. Alice looked through her inventory real fast for anything that would help. She saw that she had injured limbs. She would need time to recover from those.

She grimaced... "To hell with it all!" She then took out a needle of Med-X and jammed it in her side. She gasped as she felt the surge of relief flood through her body… It felt sooo good…. She took a second needle for extra measure.

Alice stood up and gave an odd smile. She felt overly confident now. "You guys can't even focus on a real target at all. I bet I could strip naked right here and you wouldn't even notice if I threw out a shiny bottle cap."

One of the mutants heard her and growled. "I'll wear your bones around my neck!" He then went after Alice. The others soon followed, even if they were a little worse for wear thanks to the clockwork bombs.

Alice gave a school girl giggle and started to dodge all over the place. She didn't feel any pain at all. It was awesome!

Finally, Alice made it into the trap hallway. She was careful as she made her way towards Ferna and Cheshire. She giggled as some of the mutants blew up after stepping on mines and such. She threw out some cards at them. Alice finally was close enough to their cover that she burst into butterflies again and re-materialized by Ferna.

{-} {-} {-}

Ferna was worried as she waited for Alice to bring in the green skinned lambs for slaughter. She worried even more as she heard missile explosions, and several clockwork bomb explosions as well. She felt a little relieved when the dark haired beauty came around the corner.

However, she was surprised to hear her giggling. She didn't think Alice was enjoying this. Once Alice appeared next to her she turned to her and asked, "Are you ok?"

Alice gave an odd smile as she said, "Never better Ferna! Unless you have plans to prove me wrong." She said with a saucy wink as she leaned in and gave her favorite red head a hug an extra friendly hug quickly.

Ferna would have enjoyed this, but something seemed off at the moment with Alice. She instead focused on killing the super mutants.

In their little corridor of death, it was absurdly easy to kill the supers. Even when a "Master" Charged them, he was damaged a lot by the traps. Cheshire ended up making short work of the mutant in the end.

Alice cheered as they kept firing and killing supers. Alice also acted a lot more reckless than she usually did. She didn't even bother with cover half of the time. Instead she stood out in the open laying waste to them with Sarah. It worked, but the move was far too reckless… even for Alice.

{-} {-} {-}

Once the gun smoke cleared, Alice and Ferna looted the best they could from the bodies. Alice seemed a little down and even wincing in pain for a couple of minutes here and there. She wasn't acting foolish, and she wasn't laughing for no reason either.

"Alice what happened there?" Ferna finally asked. The concern was evident in her voice. Alice had been trying to hide her pain, but she wasn't sure how to use stimpaks to heal limbs.

Alice's green eyes finally let the tears roll out. "I am sorry… I was desperate and needed to do something. I underestimated how much they would hit me with their guns... they hit my limbs and more, but I couldn't reach for a stimpak in time to heal my limb wounds."

Alice sat on the ground and curled up a little bit. It helped lessen the pain for some reason. "I had to use Med-X in the end. I seem to have gone a little too crazy using it. I felt sooo good. I felt like I couldn't be stopped. I don't think I got addicted again at least."

Alice sighed, "Still I was damaged more as a result….. How do you heal limbs using stimpaks Ferna?"

Ferna gave Alice a gentle hug before answering. "On your status screen there is a button to do just that. You probably didn't see it because you were too busy trying to dodge super mutants bullets."

Alice looked at her screen again and grimaced… Her chest, left arm and right leg were supposedly crippled. She immediately used stimpaks on those regions.

Ferna sat next to her and spoke. "Despite the 'instant' heal. It is best we wait a few minutes before going on after that."

"Sorry…" Alice said in a quiet and defeated voice. Ferna decided it really didn't fit Alice at all.

The red head gave Alice a hug and kiss on the cheek. "It isn't your fault. You did the right thing Alice. I would rather have to wait a few more minutes before going on, than not having you with me."

Alice gave a warm smile to that.

{-} {-} {-}

The group finally opened the door into the next half of the museum. Right away they had to dodge gun turret fire. Ferna sighed, "I figured we would run into this somewhere along the line…."

Alice looked at the turrets curiously. "How did they know to fire at us?"

"They have sensors that tell them if an 'enemy' is in range to shoot at. I can shut them down, but I need you to wait here while I sneak around." Ferna said.

Alice didn't like this idea at all, but she went with it.

Ferna ran out into the turrets' range. She barely rolled into some cover. The bullets were hitting right behind her. She looked at her map on her Pip-boy, and saw how to get into the turret control room. She had an idea on how to use these turrets.

Ferna took a deep breath and charged from behind her cover. This time the gun was shooting right in front of her. Ferna decided to try something risky. She jumped up and forward. She managed to sail over the gun fire that kept shooting the floor of the catwalk instead.

Ferna landed and rolled behind a wall right away. She managed to get clipped by a couple of bullets. It wasn't too bad though. Nothing compared to what Alice went through earlier with the mutants.

Alice gasped as she saw Ferna jump up into the air. "That is way too dangerous!" Alice said to herself. She then watched as Ferna made it around the corner.

Alice was not happy with that move. To her, it seemed like Ferna was unnecessarily risking her life to look 'cool' or something with that move. It did impress her though.

Ferna finally made it to the locked door to the turret control room. It took the red head a while but she finally managed to unlock the door. Once inside she immediately went to the turret control terminal.

After a few attempts, Ferna finally managed to shut down the turrets. She breathed a sigh of relief. She then came outside of the room and found Alice. "Okay so I have a plan... again…"

Alice gave a sigh. Ferna frowned to this. "Ohhh… Sorry it isn't your plan or anything like that. I was just sighing in annoyance I guess. I want to look around this place. But these stupid over grown green skinned eunuchs are in the way."

Ferna blushed as she asked, "How do you know that… Alice…?"

Alice blushed now. "I… didn't ummm… mean to look… It was just as I was looting I happened to notice they don't have well….. man parts down there…. Despite looking male."

Cheshire gave chuckle. "Ohhh… This makes things better… Since they lose their parts as super mutants we should put them out of their misery." The girls just stayed silent to his remark.

"Anyways… My plan. You see I think we could set off something that would draw the super mutants to this area's turret pit. This wing is a little smaller than the other so that is a good thing for this plan."

Cheshire thought for a moment. "Is there something that might arouse all of the supers at once in this wing? If it isn't too hard to set up I can be bait this time. I think Alice has done more than her fair share of that role for a good bit yet."

Alice looked to Cheshire with a hard to read expression. Though it did look like she was debating if she should give him a hug for his concern for her or not.

Ferna looked over some of the memos on the computer. "Well there is something in here about the planetarium program being excessively loud, and then repeating after only a couple of minutes into the routine. You would have to wait there for a bit before they come to you I think though."

Cheshire grinned. "I can do waiting…" he said in us usual voice.

"Well then that is the plan. I guess." Ferna said as she looked through the glass window into the area that would serve as their new trap area.

"I can wait just outside of here to provide backup if needed." Alice volunteered.

Cheshire just grinned and blinked onto the cat walk area. He then blinked back into the office. "No need for that young Alice." Alice rolled her eyes playfully. She had setup the perfect opportunity for him to show off, and she knew he loved every second of it.

Cheshire slowly crept his way to the planetarium. Once he was inside he activated it and lounged on top of the technician's workstation. It wasn't long until he saw a few green skins enter. "Good evening gentlemen. Though I suppose the term isn't actually true."

The mutants didn't really respond. Cheshire chuckled. "Yes it seems I have that effect on people. They never seem to know exactly what to do about me. But I suppose you idiots wouldn't know what to do regardless. I heard super mutants go around and just beat each other with clubs is that true? I hardly see how you weaklings are a threat to the Wasteland."

"Weaklings?!" One shouted. "Yeaaarrrgggh!" He then shouted before charging the lounging cat.

Cheshire grinned as he disappeared to the nearby door way. The other supers went for him. He disappeared again. He led them into the large room outside the planetarium.

The cat took up residence on a banister and yawned as he said, "So weakling is what gets to you lot. That really speaks of your intelligence if of all those insults Weakling is the one that gets a reaction."

The mutants yelled and charged after him. Cheshire just grinned as he led them on further. They even managed to pick up a few more "friends" on the way. This was working out even better than they could have hoped.

Finally, he led the group of angry mutants into the trap room and just grinned as he vanished and reappeared on the other side of the glass, just as Ferna turned on the turrets again.

Surprisingly, the three turrets managed to take out the lot of super mutants in the end. The group figured it was because half of them used nail boards as weapons, and they already took out most of them earlier with their first trap room.

Once Ferna cleared the turrets' targeting data and they destroyed their selves, the group finally went about looting the place. When Ferna approached her first super mutant she just stared. She was debating something in her mind. In the end her curiosity won out. Ferna grimaced as she shut her eyes tight and 'examined' the super mutant.

She shivered as she finally was satisfied, and tried to wipe her hand on anything. "Well Alice you were right about the Super Eunuchs."

"Ohhh? They really are? I didn't know that." Alice said acting clueless. Ferna bought it though.

"You mean to tell me you just made that UP?!" Ferna said aloud.

Cheshire and Alice both started chuckling to that. Ferna frowned. Alice then spoke. "Sorry Ferna… It was just a little joke is all…" Alice then blanched. "I did check accidentally..."

Ferna sighed and just pulled off the ammo the super was carrying. "Why would you have a box of .308 ammo, but use a nail board as your weapon?" Ferna asked.

Alice sighed as well. "I know what you mean this guy had brass knuckles but also three missiles and a box of 5mm ammo."

Cheshire chuckled. "Maybe a man hood isn't the only thing missing from these things." Ferna rolled her eyes as Alice shook her head.

The group did one final sweep of the museum before letting Alice have her tour. They found a couple more super mutants but nothing too bad. It seemed their plans had worked rather well.

Ferna led Alice through the museum. "Ohh! Look at that Ferna! What is that?" Alice was pointing to the wrecked plane in the entrance lobby.

"That was the first plan to ever fly Alice. It was made by the Wright Brothers. They discovered how to fly. Flying eventually became a major mode of transportation. It made going from country to country much faster. You used to have to go by boat across the Atlantic. Once flying really took off though, you could go from New York to London in under 9 hours."

Alice looked to Ferna with wide eyes at that. She really didn't know what to say to that. She couldn't wrap her head around that. "That is…. That is… impressive…. Amazing! How is that even possible! How did that work?!"

Ferna then gave a laugh and tried her best to explain it to Alice. Alice seemed to actually understand what she was saying and somehow put it together.

Alice was definitely like a kid in a candy store with all of the collapsing museum exhibits. When they finally stood in front of the Virgo II lander she just stared for a really long time.

She finally spoke. "So men have actually been to the moon?"

Ferna nodded and talked about the moon landing to her. Once she finished Alice asked another question. "Did… England have a space program?" She seriously hoped they did. It was a matter of some national pride to her, even if she wasn't there anymore.

Ferna looked away as she spoke. "They did, but they never did any manned missions into space."

Alice frowned at that.

Ferna continued, "There were British astronauts, but they usually had to go to a different country for it, usually the US, since they were really good allies. The truth is, it was mostly America and Russia that had much to do with space. Other countries might have launched communication satellites, and maybe the occasional rover, but that was it."

"Thanks for the info Ferna. I bet there are some more computers you will want to hack and locks to pick though. So I won't bother you for now." Alice said with a smile as she started to make her way through the cleared museum.

Ferna stretched and took a deep breath before slowly releasing it. She went to one of the nearby computers and found one that was used for making announcements.

The red haired girl smiled as she hacked into it, and set it to broadcast from her Pip-Boy. She then turned on her music playlist. It was too quiet in here, and she felt Alice should get to enjoy the museum in style.

The first song that played was by Paul Whiteman and sung by Johnny Mercer and Jack Teagarden. The song was 'Fare Thee Well to Harlem'. Ferna danced a little as she looked through a different computer that for whatever reason required a password to log on.

A couple of seconds later and she was in it. She then saw there was a message for a man named Jiggs about loot. Since it was a personal message about loot. Ferna of course listened to it all and decided to try and figure out the codes.

As she came to the first computer with a code, she smiled as an idea occurred to her after looking over the possible numbers. "I doubt it will be that easy, but hey… I can just pick every lock and I bet I will come across this Jiggs guy's loot." Ferna thought to herself as she picked out the prime number in the group.

She clicked on the number and it gave her the affirmative symbol. "Ha! Really prime numbers?" Ferna said aloud with glee.

Two more computers later and she had the password for the security office terminal, which was admin locked. Ferna then realized how smart this Prime guy actually was. Not just anyone would take his name as anything more than some nickname for a guy with an over-sized ego.

Also the fact that he probably rewrote the admin password for the computer network in the museum, and then used multiple hidden codes before someone would get said password. Not to mention on top of that he purposely jammed the safe lock, and then admin locked the terminal. It was actually quiet genius truthfully.

"Too bad I was even smarter and got the whole thing correct with little effort." Ferna said aloud with a very smug smile gracing her lips. Alice would have loved seeing it, but she was busy.

{-} {-} {-}

"Wow! That is amazing!" Alice said as she looked over the Delta IX Rocket. It was the last Rocket used for landing on the moon. She was even more impressed that it was a single stage rocket.

Alice had found a terminal that talked extensively about the American Space Program. She was extremely fascinated by it. She really wished she could have gone to the moon, but alas things hadn't worked out that way for her. She hadn't had enough time to go there during her life in London. Not to mention it was a little under a 100 years later before man landed on the moon.

"You know I would say something here about the shape of the rocket… But I am much too sophisticated for such menial comments." Cheshire's deep voice said from next to Alice.

Alice rolled her eyes. "There is a reason the rocket is shaped like that Cat… Aerodynamics. It isn't easy to defy gravity you know. Much less break through the atmosphere into outer space."

Cheshire grinned as he said, "I seem to recall one girl in particular. She could triple jump in the air and even gently float in any direction she wanted."

Alice gave him a look as he continued. "I believe that if she put her mind to it there was very little she couldn't accomplish. She even managed to time travel into the future by complete accident."

Alice gave a sigh and shook her head. "The fact it happened by complete accident says a lot Cheshire. At least she was smart enough, and determined enough to make the best use of her situation. Or that is what I would think she would do." The dark haired girl gave a joking smile.

Cheshire chuckled, "Indeed she did. I have a feeling if she controls her reckless nature enough she might even eventually prosper in the new world she found."

Alice just gave a half frown. "Thanks for the poorly veiled form of advice Cheshire." The cat merely kept grinning. Alice then made her way into more of the museum.

{-} {-} {-}

Ferna smiled as she collected everything from the gun locker in the planetarium office. She thought this was an odd place to store weapons and such, but he just went with it. She now had a lot more ammo for Sierra, and decided to give the missile launcher and missiles to Alice.

Ferna then decided she would just lounge around the entrance to the museum. Cheshire was always very keen on finding a place to lounge. She had more than enough time to see what this lounging business was all about.

Ferna finally managed to make herself comfortable on the crashed Wright brothers' flyer. The way it was crashed made for a half way decent lay back chair. This meant it was more or less a comfortable throne fit for a queen in the Capital Wasteland.

After several minutes of lovely relaxation, Alice returned to the entrance hall. "This place is filled with all kinds of wonders!" She said happily.

Ferna smiled at her. She found a happy Alice to be an even more beautiful Alice. If that was possible. "Glad you enjoyed yourself Alice. Do you have any questions?"

"I have plenty of questions, but I feel we should complete our mission at this time." Alice answered.

Ferna gave a playful frown as she exaggeratedly said, "Aww… fine ruin my fun filled Wasteland with work." Alice gave a giggle.

"So who is going to carry the satellite? I don't have enough room in my inventory for it… I don't think." Ferna said. "Oh by the way… Here you go Alice." She said with a smile as she tossed the dark haired beauty some missiles. Fortunately, Alice caught them and smiled.

"Oh and this." Ferna said in a sultry voice as she slowly walked over towards Alice. She gave a teasing sway to her hips. As she stepped closer, she handed Alice the missile launcher she found. Alice was half disappointed, but she recovered when she saw the weapon.

"Well I don't really have room for it either. I mean I might find a wonderful weapon on the way back or something." Alice said with a soft smile.

The two girls then looked at the only Cheshire Cat in probably all of the Capital Wasteland. Cheshire rolled his eyes. "Fine… I will take the satellite dish… But we better go straight to the monument after this. I don't want to be stuck carrying the heavy thing for a really long time, because you 'got distracted' or something."

The two girls agreed to his 'demands' and made their way to the Virgo II Moon Lander. Ferna was surprised how easily the thing came off. She wondered if it was just from the age, or if the US space program had really been that lucky it didn't break on the mission.

After retrieving the satellite dish for GNR, which Cheshire was "elected" to store for them, the trio made their way outside of the museum. It was now late in the night. Ferna actually saw this as an advantage to them. They could bypass most of the super mutants.

Ferna looked forward and said, "Alright follow me. I will get us there, hopefully without any super mutant problems. Not that I doubt we could take them, but it would be rather annoying."

Ferna sighed. "I just want to hear good music all across the Wasteland. The things we do for something that should be simple."

Alice nodded in agreement, but Ferna didn't see it. Cheshire grumbled to himself about having to be the one who did the heavy lifting.

The trio slowly made their way towards what was supposedly the Washington Monument. "I can't see a thing in this dark night." Alice commented.

"Exactly. They can't see us either. I would say just blast our way to the monument, but I just want to get this mission over with and finally be able to hear good music everywhere." Ferna replied.

"Alright. I was just commenting is all." Alice answered. She was actually a little disappointed. She couldn't look at Ferna's lovely backside well in this dark.

{-} {-} {-}

While the trio was careful and managed to avoid the super mutants, they could make out sounds of battle still going on. They figured it was Talon Company and mutants mostly. The brotherhood seemed to be more cautious in their attacks on the mutants from what they have heard and seen briefly.

It wasn't long until they finally made it to the monument at the end of the DC Mall just as the sun was starting to rise.

"Hold it right there." A voice said through a power armor helmet. "Who are you? What is your business?"

"I am Ferna. This is Alice, and last but not least is Cheshire." Ferna introduced.

"We are here to repair the satellite relay for GNR." Alice said.

"They made me actually carry it." Cheshire replied a little coldly. He was ready to be rid of this heavy thing.

"Huh… The cat really does talk… I didn't believe the boss." A power armor clad man said on the right side of the gate to the monument.

"Alright, we got word of you three. Go ahead." The brotherhood member on the left said as the gate opened to let them inside.

As the group entered and saw the elevator, Cheshire spoke. "I really hope that thing works… I am not carrying this up there myself via stairs."

Ferna pressed the button and surprisingly the elevator clattered down for them. "Well looks like you are in luck Cheshire." She said with a smile. The cat just rolled his eyes.

It took a few minutes, but finally the group exited out the door of the elevator. The platform was very much sturdy, but still somehow in disrepair. Alice and Ferna both made their way over to the edge to look out.

"You know… Despite how horrible the amount of destruction is… I still have to say there is a certain breath taking beauty to this Wasteland." Alice said with a smile.

Ferna nodded before saying, "I know what you mean. Still, I wish I could have seen this place when it wasn't destroyed. I have seen some old faded pictures, but that is all."

Ferna looked out over the Mall next to Alice. The red head spoke again. "Think about it. There used to be a lot of green up the center there." She pointed it out to Alice.

"Closer to the Capital they used to have a huge celebration every Fourth of July. Behind us, though you can't see it from here, there used to be a large pool of water between here and the Lincoln Memorial. Who knows, we might go see it sometime." Ferna said.

Ferna wasn't sure if Alice wanted to hear all about the place or not, but she couldn't help talking about it.

Alice actually found it interesting listening to Ferna. "I think I would like to see if it is still there sometime during our journey." After that the girls spent a couple of minutes in silence looking out over the Wasteland as the sun rose.

A sigh was heard breaking them out of their revere of the sun rise. "I hate to ruin your moment, but can we hook this satellite dish up already? I don't like it taking up room in my inventory." Cheshire said to them.

Ferna and Alice both blushed as the got to work. It took them a little time, but they got it up and going. They also had plenty of time to thoroughly loot the corpse hanging around up there.

Alice was particularly pleased with the ammo box she found around the back of the platform. It had a missile launcher right by it and a few more missiles.

Ferna found plenty of ammo for Sierra, and a couple more grenades. She also took the dead guy's biker helmet. She wasn't sure why she did, but she did. "Oh well I can sell this or maybe put it up on a shelf or something." She thought to herself.

"So shall we go now?" Alice asked. She was ready for a break after their trip. Ferna nodded and led them back down.

{-} {-} {-}

Their trip back had one unexpected event when they accidentally took a wrong turn. They came across a group of feral ghouls hanging out in a little alcove in the metro tunnels. The alcove was caved in on one side.

Ferna blinked a couple of times. "What do we do?" There were a lot of them after all. They had remained unnoticed so far fortunately.

Alice looked around and soon smiled. The dark haired girl pulled out Leo and slowly backed away from the alcove. Ferna didn't know what she was thinking, but quickly did the same.

Suddenly, Alice stood up and aimed her weapon. The feral ghouls threw their heads up as one and growled as a missile went flying towards them. Ferna sighed in exasperation, and got ready for a tough close quarters fight.

However, the missile hit the roof above the alcove. Seconds later, just as the ghouls were about to charge them, the roof collapsed on them with a loud groan.

Once the dust settled, Cheshire gave a chuckle. "Well that is one way to deal with ghouls."

"I suppose that could have actually ended badly for us as well." Alice said casually. It seemed she thought the potential of them being buried alive was merely an afterthought.

Ferna rolled her eyes and might have said something, but she was too tired for that. Instead she just said, "Well let's go then." And led them the proper way this time.

Once they exited the metro, they were all happy to see the GNR building in all of its ruined glory. "I guess Three Dog is still adding the holotapes we got him. He hasn't made an announcement about the station being back fully on air, nor has he cycled in any of the new stuff." Ferna said as they walked around to the front of the building to enter.

{-} {-} {-}

"Ha Haaaa! Hello wonderful listennnnners! This is your favorite DJ in the Wasteland, Three Dog! What the What? You may be asking yourself. The truth is this is a liveeeee broadcast! That's right children! Every corner of the Wasteland is now hearing the best music of all time, and updated news from my every so soothing voice!" Three Dog said excitedly.

The DJ would have said something sooner, but just like Ferna said, with all of the music he had to upload from the holotapes the girls got him it took time. The holotapes had finished about twenty minutes ago, but he decided to wait until the girls were back at the station before proceeding.

Alice and Ferna were now drinking their complementary drinks from Three Dog. "Buuuut! That isn't all everyone!" He laughed aloud into the mic. "That's right! Three Dog appreciates all of you lovely fans so much, he has a little surprise for you."

Three Dog paused for a bit, and winked at Ferna and Alice. "Now that everyone has calmed down… I have a special surprise for you all, courtesy of 101 and that lovable Brit companion of her's. What is this amazing surprise, you want to know?"

Three Dog gave another smile as he left his audience hanging for just a couple more seconds. He knew how to work the crowd after all. "Weeeellll I don't want to spoil anything, so I will just give you all a clue!" Anyone could detect the excitement of his voice.

He quickly gave his two favorite girls in all of the Capital Wasteland a bright smile as he pulled out one of the new holotapes they gave him. He wanted them to see the obvious hint and appreciation for their gift to him. "I have to thank you lot once again for the best gift to ever grace the Wasteland. Old Three Dog has your backs! No matter what! Just remember that." He said without using his microphone for the radio.

On the radio, a couple of trumpets played an intro before the ever popular Andrews Sisters started singing:

Feelin' Low

Rock me slow

Want to go

Right back where I belong

Feelin' Low

Rooockin' slow

Waant to gooooo

Right back where I belong

Way down south in Birmingham

I mean southhhh in Alabam…

Alice couldn't help, but dance to the song with her drink in one hand. Ferna was humming aloud to the song. Cheshire was even bobbing his head to the tune as he lounged on top of some of the DJ's equipment. The DJ himself was completely into the catchy song and just smiled as his fingers tapped to beat.

As the song finished, Three Dog gave a giddy laugh as he said, "That's right children! 101 and her companion brought a lot music when they visited me in my studio. That was The Andrews Sisters with 'Tuxedo Junction'. Don't worry… There is plenty more new music where that came from! even if they won't say where they found it..."

Alice and Ferna smiled smugly to each other as they envisioned everyone within ear shot of a radio in the Wasteland cheering.

Three Dog gave the girls refills as he laughed in happiness, and said on the radio, "Next time you see 101 and her friend, be sure to thank them for their gift to the Capital Wasteland." The DJ then put on 'Blues in the Night'.

Alice and Ferna toasted GNR. Three Dog even joined them in the toast with a beer. "To the Capital Wasteland!" Ferna said. "May it find a way to prosper, after the world went to hell." Alice and Three Dog easily toasted to her words.

Three Dog gave a smile as he told Ferna and Alice all about James' visit to GNR. He even gave them 1,000 caps each for the new music. "Like I said Ferna… I wish I knew more, but your best bet would be to hit up Rivet City. He was talking about getting the old gang together again, starting with Doctor Li."

"You two make yourselves comfortable and get ready for the long trek to Rivet City tomorrow… or whenever you get to it." Three Dog said. He was aware of their tendency to get side tracked from things unless it was to bring good music to the wasteland apparently.

The girls giggled to his words, because they knew all too well their selves how they go about Ferna's mission. Ferna also registered that her quest called the "The not so quiet Library" was now complete. After a couple more hours, the two finally made their way to the "Guest Quarters" in the GNR building.

Cheshire decided he would just hang out with Three Dog for a good while. He didn't want to accidentally interrupt anything his two female companions might get into after all they went through. He had a feeling if he did so, they might not be too willing to let him off easy. All in all he knew it would be a while before they continued their journey and so decided to take his time and enjoy having someone male to talk to for once.

Ferna Level 8! Strong Back: You are obsessed with looting… So it only seems natural that you would eventually find a way to carry more items! +50 to carry weight. Why should you have to worry so much about if you can take that Combat Shotgun or not? Now you can carry even more items! ... Wonder how long it will take you to max out your inventory once again.

Alice Level 8! Strong Back: You are obsessed with looting… So it only seems natural that you would eventually find a way to carry more items! +50 to carry weight. Now you don't have to worry about if you pickup that extra weapon for parts or to sell. Also having a Fat Man does take its toll on your inventory. Now you don't have to worry about it! ... Until you max out again.

A/N: I would have posted this sooner, but wasn't cooperating.

I know I have said Cheshire's voice is awesome. It really is. I am a man and I like his voice a lot. In the first Alice game, I was spamming the "advice" button just to hear his awesome phrases. My only complaints about Alice: Madness Returns were no boss fights, and not enough Cheshire Cat moments.

…Now that the possibly awkward, moment is over… I hope everyone enjoyed the chapter. I haven't seen any responses to if people want more songs written out or not. (I don't really hear much about the story from people period, but oh well some seem to be enjoying the story.) I have included parts of songs for the moment at least. I am sure any fallout fans reading this story wouldn't mind hearing some more song titles in the fallout vein, so long as they aren't used to take up space and just to add more words at least.

Also, I blame Fallout for getting me into swing music… Not that I'm complaining.

Anyways, though I know the following finding this story would be rather limited, and I do write the story because I enjoy writing it. The truth is I would like more feedback, so if anyone has any ideas or just wants to say something. Please enlighten me. See you all next time!
