AMRXFallout3 ch.8
A/N: Caution… mature content right off the bat including girl on girl… I figured I have teased everyone enough by now that I should actually have an intimate scene. I mean come on… after what our two heroines went through it should seem natural. If you don't want to read such things skip ahead to "LEMON goodness ends." This is my first time writing a scene like this and it is a little... I don't know what to say about it. Tell me your thoughts if you want to… Enjoy!
Chapter 8: Outcasts and their Toys!
"Mmmmm…" Ferna let out a low moan as she enjoyed the sensation of Alice's tongue between her legs. On the floor, near the bed lay the ever elusive and "popular" Naughty Nightwear. It hadn't taken long for Ferna to get Alice out of the beautiful and lustful article of clothing.
Ferna gasped as she felt a lovely tingle in her body. She hadn't expected this to be Alice's preferable reward for being a 'good student' in Pip-Boy class. She had expected to have the opportunity to enjoy the lovely taste of Alice's lower lips instead.
The dark haired girl seemed to have other plans though.
Alice paused in her tongue's movements to once again take in the lovely musk of Ferna's arousal. She loved the lovely scent, even with the light mix of sweat to it. Regardless she still enjoyed the taste, but the most wonderful part were the sounds of pleasure the red head expressed out loud to varying degrees of volume.
Ferna let out a loud moan of pleasure and her body shook with her first orgasm. Alice lapped up what she could before taking a break. Alice then looked up at the out of breath red head.
Alice's face was covered in Ferna's love juice. The dark haired girl gave a sultry lick of her lips.
Once Ferna finally collected her breath, she spoke. "Well… that was… amazing, Alice…" The red head then gave a mischievous grin as she sat up and faced her lover.
Ferna looked over the very naked dark haired girl in front of her. Ferna took in the smooth milky skin and light pink and erect nipples. Alice had an odd freckle here and there, but these just added to her beauty.
The red head then looked down at Alice's kempt luscious dark pubic hair. She wondered why anyone would want a girl to remove such a lovely sight.
She gave a smile as she got up and walked over to Alice. The red haired girl placed two hands on Alice's arms and shifted their weights around. She then slowly pushed Alice on to the bed.
"I think such a wonderful student needs an extra reward." Ferna said in as much of a sexy teacher voice she could come up with. It wasn't that great, but it was enough to get Alice excited and that was all that mattered.
Ferna leaned in and kissed Alice on the lips. The dark haired girl eagerly returned the kiss. She also enjoyed the sensation of Ferna's skin against her own. The two exchanged kisses for about six minutes.
Once the six minutes passed, Ferna started to trail kisses down Alice's smooth skin. She paused and made sure to kiss both beautiful pink nipples.
Ferna's kisses continued until she finally reached her destination. The red haired girl took in a deep breath through her nose. She loved the wonderful mixed scent of sweat and arousal of Alice's luscious lower lips.
The red head paused to admire the unshaved, but tame lower curls of Alice's flower once again. Ferna loved the sight. Next the red haired girl placed a kiss right on Alice's pussy.
Alice gave a sharp intake of breath. She loved the light sensation on her most private region. She spread her legs just a little bit wider. She wanted Ferna to have all the access she wanted.
Ferna gave a smug smile as she took a taste of Alice's essence.
Ferna loved the taste. It was just as lovely as she imagined it would be. It was sweet with just a light delectable tang to it. Ferna then decided to help herself to even more of her favorite brit girl. The green-eyed girl didn't complain.
It wasn't long until the dark haired beauty let a moan escape her lips. She was helpless to Ferna's whims, she didn't complain about this though. She just stayed there, completely at the lovely red head's mercy.
It was very different from how she usually acted, but here in such an intimate setting she allowed herself to be at Ferna's complete mercy. Alice felt deeply rewarded for this choice too.
Surprisingly the dark haired girl acted much more submissive than she usually was. She let Ferna do all she wanted to her. Something about being at the red haired girl's mercy really turned Alice on. She knew her lover could do whatever she wanted to her, and she would be more than happy with the outcome.
Ferna's blue eyes widened a little as she noticed Alice's taste and musk suddenly grow stronger. She got an idea and spoke, "You know I think you should turn around, Miss Liddell."
Alice wasn't sure where this was going, but she did just that. She turned around to where her moist pussy rubbed on the bed sheets and her rear stuck up in the air.
Ferna smirked and leaned in close. She then did something that was quiet unexpected. She gave each of Alice's butt cheeks a kiss. She then got to her knees and started to help herself to more of Alice.
For some reason this position really turned Alice on even more. After a while Alice was turned around again and Ferna kissed her on the lips again as two slender fingers slipped inside of the temporally displaced beauty's love passage.
"Oooohhhh Ferna!" Alice moaned as she enjoyed the sensation. Ferna slid her fingers in and out of Alice. The dark haired girl didn't hold back on her enjoyment of this, and easily moaned out her pleasures.
Ferna then used her tongue on Alice once again and feasted on the Dark Haired girl's love nectar. Alice soon shuddered and let out a real loud and long moan as she shook with her orgasm.
Ferna was surprised by the strength of Alice's orgasm. However, she enjoyed the torrent of juices that burst from the classical beauty. She took in as much of the gift as she could.
Once the orgasm subsided and Ferna swallowed the wonderful juice, the red haired girl gave a few final licks that gave Alice a couple of extra jolts of pleasure.
Ferna then laid down by Alice and gave her one last kiss. She thought they might be taking a break at this point now.
Alice had other plans though. She kissed Ferna back, and quickly two slender fingers ran through the red haired girls rich lower curls before they started to massage the girl's lower lips.
It wasn't too long after that, Alice slipped her fingers inside Ferna. Ferna let out a rather loud, "Ohhh!" Ferna then decided to just let Alice do as she wanted for a bit.
Lovely lust filled blue eyes suddenly widened as Alice's fingers wondered much more than Ferna thought they would dare. She was surprised by the boldness, but enjoyed it nonetheless. She made a mental note to let Alice take control more often. The thought of something going in her back entrance had never really crossed the red head's mind, until now.
Alice gave a victorious smile as her fingers ventured to unexplored, and most likely taboo territory. She had to fight her odd urge to go even further with Ferna's back door. The dark haired girl thought that might be too much. She wasn't sure why she was thinking of such things in the first place, but didn't care much since Ferna seemed to be enjoying what was going on.
"Ohhhh God, Alice!" Ferna shouted before experiencing a forceful orgasm. The red haired girl figured it would be break time now. Alice didn't let her off that easy though. The dark haired girl kept up her wonderful work while the red haired girl orgasmed yet again.
Ferna could have sworn in that time period she experienced something no human had ever experienced before her. She took in a sharp intake of breath as her eyes widened and saw things that no mortal should see, while her back arched upwards. At least, the vault girl thought that was what happened.
She would have to find a way to repay the dark haired goddess for this. The red head partly did this by not trying to contain her pleasure. She didn't realize this. She did however notice Alice loved hearing her unbridled expressions of pleasure.
After a full minuet of being stuck in that awkward but pleasurable position, Ferna collapsed back on to the bed. She panted as she tried to catch her breath. Alice seemed extremely pleased with her naked self, and unknowingly licked her fingers clean.
Ferna's blue eyes grew heavy shortly after her collapse. She managed to grab Alice's arm and signal that she was ready for some real rest.
Alice's green eyes seemed to be just as heavy. The dark haired girl curled up next to Ferna in their shared queen sized bed. Neither girl cared that they reeked of sweat and sex. In fact the two girls took a certain pleasure in this fact as they moved closer together and fell to sleep.
After some time, beautiful blue eyes opened and stared half vacantly at the ceiling. Ferna was still feeling some last tingles of pleasure from what her and Alice had done. She took in a deep breath through her nose and reveled at the scent of sex still hanging in the air.
The vault girl weakly moved her head to the side and saw a breath taking sight. Alice was peacefully asleep with her eyes closed and a wonderful smile gracing her lips. Ferna found it amazing the girl could look both elegant and beautiful, even after what they had just done.
She gave the misplaced beauty a soft and loving kiss. She then helped herself to a little bit of an extra feel of the naked girl's body before relaxing and waiting for the other her to wake up.
As Ferna's hand slid down to Alice's wonderful ass, the dark haired girl gave a soft sleepy chuckle. "You know if I wasn't okay with you doing as you pleased with me… I might actually react badly to that, Ferna."
Ferna didn't stop as she smiled at the other girl. Brilliant green eyes opened and soft pink lips kissed the red haired girl. "So shall we go with round two now?" The green eyed girl asked in a sultry voice.
Ferna just grinned. "You bet."
(((((((((LEMON Goodness Ends!)))))))))
After the two girls were once again out of breath and panting from pleasure, Ferna finally sat up in the bed. Alice still hadn't let go of her though. The red haired girl actually found this rather endearing.
The two reveled in silence for a bit. Alice finally spoke. "So… Are we… you know… in a real relationship now, Ferna?" Her voice was a little unsure.
Ferna looked to her and smiled softly, "After everything we have been through together already, and the amazing sex we had. I would be severely disappointed if we weren't, Alice."
Ferna's eyes then looked away as her cheeks reddened. "If you want us to be… That is… if not then I'm sorry I just completely embarrassed myself in front of you." She suddenly feared it was just hormones or carnal need that had guided Alice to the partaking in the earlier actions.
Alice felt her heart warm as Ferna spoke. She then sat up and hugged her red haired girl tight before kissing her on the lips. "I would like that. I haven't ever been with someone. Especially a girl, or person as wonderful as you, Ferna." The two just sat there holding each other for a few minutes.
After several long minuets, the two girls decided they needed to get ready for the day. They wondered if there was a shower in the building, or if they would just have to go around reeking of sex until they jumped into the radiation enriched river.
They wouldn't have minded the scent too much, but they knew it would be rather distracting for them, and who knew how others would react. They were especially concerned about Cheshire in this respect. He did have a much keener sense of smell than they did.
{-} {-} {-}
Cheshire stretched as he sat up from his cat perch. He had enjoyed a lovely cat nap after talking to Three Dog. The DJ actually ended up being very worldly wise. The two had enjoyed each other's company as they talked about many things.
The cat was surprised how much the DJ actually knew about survival in the Wasteland. He supposed it spoke volumes of the man that he survived all of those years, and decided to help out the best way he could think of doing so.
Cheshire was pretty sure many people owed their lives to the DJ's news segments, or at least did before the green skinned eunuchs used the old dish as target practice. He figured the man would once again help out many now that the Wasteland could once again hear GNR everywhere.
"I wonder if the two love birds are finished yet." Asked the voice of the Wasteland as he helped himself to some 200+ year old Sugar Bombs.
"Knowing those two I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't finished yet." Cheshire chuckled. Three Dog did as well.
"So what is it like roaming the Wasteland with those two crazy lovely ladies? Cheshire?" The DJ asked.
"It really isn't all that bad. I do have to keep them on task from time to time, but they are both good kids." The cat said as he lounged on a shelf nearby.
"Considering Alice is almost 300 years old herself. I don't know if she counts as a kid?" the Dj gave a little chuckle. The trio had decided to tell the DJ the truth, so long as he didn't tell anyone else. He easily agreed.
"Well we did kind of time travel, and skip a few hundred years into the future, even if by accident somehow. I still think of Alice as only 19. A young, sort of mad, woman. She still is a kid in many ways. Still…" the cat gave his famous grin. "She is very resourceful and has found her niche in this Wasteland as Ferna's companion."
"heh heh. I think the vault girl owes much to Alice even if she doesn't realize it herself. She may be easily distracted from her goal, but that shows she has the luxury to still explore. No doubt thanks to her time in the vault and you two." Three Dog said with smile.
The DJ was reminiscing his times adventuring in the Wasteland when he was younger. He was taught well by his parents even if they were hippies, and didn't have to worry about anything but survival. Still he was for the most part glad those days were over.
The two friends continued talking until Ferna and Alice joined them in the main room and had something to eat. They were both refreshed after their shower even if the Geiger counters on their Pip-boys ticked a little the whole while.
{-} {-} {-}
"So what is our plan now, Ferna?" Asked the cat in a drawling voice after the two finished their meals.
"Isn't it obvious?" Ferna replied.
Cheshire blinked a few times before answering questioningly, "You intend to go to Rivet City? Already?" He would be surprised if that was the case.
Ferna blinked back in response. "What? Why would I?" The cat rolled his eyes as he gave a friendly grin. "That place sounds like a rust heap," Ferna replied with a playful stuck up nose.
Ferna then smiled as she spoke again, "No, I of course intend to go and help these 'Brotherhood Outcasts' and hopefully loot some wonderful shiny energy weapons, and everything else will be Alice's." Alice smiled to this.
Three Dog gave a laugh. "Of course that makes sense! Come on Cheshire, you should have known that." The cat merely looked away in exaggerated disgust as the humans all three laughed.
"In all seriousness though, you should be weary around those outcasts." Three Dog said to them.
"Oh? Why is that? You do realize we are the reason why the brotherhood of Steel made it into your 'humble abode' with so few casualties?" Alice asked, with only a 'hint' of pride.
Three Dog gave a small chuckle. He was still extremely happy about having more music to play. He loved his radio station's music from before but such a small playlist really can get to you after several years. It was all thanks to these two helping the BoS get to his place.
Three Dog then gave them a serious face as he spoke. "The Brotherhood of Steel here in the Citadel are actually a very big blessing. Usually the Brotherhood doesn't care about anything but gathering old tech to use as they see fit. Most of the time they couldn't give two shits about the people living in the Wasteland."
Alice and Ferna nodded as he kept talking, "This isn't too bad usually because they literally don't care. That means so long as you leave them alone they leave you alone, and they are willing to trade and pay well for technology you gather. However, if you are in their way of some fancy pre-war tech… then they will drop you in a heartbeat from behind or use any other means to get you out of the way."
Alice frowned. Ferna seemed to look a little angry. If they had helped people like that earlier than she wished they hadn't. "But wait you said the ones here in the Citadel are different? How so?" the red head asked.
"Elder Lyons saw how bad the Wasteland was here in the Capital. Apparently back West things are much better and settled. Anyways, he actually has some heart, he then decided to not only stick to their main mission, but also help with the Supers and raiders here in the heart of the Capital. Rumor has it the were even working on some big special project before things got too bad with the supers. Their group is cut off from any supplies and reinforcements. Even if they were granted those things by the main BoS," Three Dog said.
"Interesting. It sounds like we really should help this Capital Wasteland Brotherhood. I'm guessing these 'Outcasts' are made of a different mold?" Cheshire asked as he stared intently at the DJ.
"I wouldn't say they are from a different mold. Instead I would say they are more like the original casting. They didn't like Elder Lyons' idea to actually put their skills and tech to use in the Wasteland. They broke off and last I heard they made their home base in Fort Independence." Three Dog said.
He then sighed as he got back on track with the conversation. "The thing is they are like the original brotherhood, but a little more hostile to any 'Local'. Most of them grew an intense dislike of anyone not in their group. I guess it has something to do with whatever went down between them and Lyons' group."
"So what should we be worried about from them?" Alice asked.
"They will let you work for them and maybe reward you a little, but otherwise they could care less if you die or not. They would shoot you dead if you got too close to some shiny piece of technology they wanted. So just remember they are the Jerks of the Wastes. To them, no matter what, you are a dumbass technologically backwards wasteland slob." Three dog finished in a voice similar to the one he used when giving warnings on the radio.
"But I'm not from the Wasteland. I lived and grew up in a vault." Ferna said.
The DJ gave a humorless chuckle. "Then you might be little better than a dumbass technologically backwards wasteland slob. I don't think they consider vault dwellers any better, despite there ever going search for vaults to plunder of technology."
"Well then… if they want to rob my home… I will simply have to make sure they can't do that. After I help them and hopefully get some wonderful new loot from them." Ferna said with a small smile.
The three others gave a laugh to this. Three Dog spoke up. "That is why I hope to never cross you, Ferna. I believe that you, Alice and Cheshire could actually do that."
"Regardless I won't shed any tears if I hear the Outcasts have been permanently disbanded for life. They are the types to watch a wastelander fight a super on their own and then loot the body after killing the survivor. As much as I hate to agree with President John Henry Eden," The DJ said the name with as much spite as he could. "He is right about them being little better than well-equipped raiders."
Ferna and Alice then nodded to each other. Ferna spoke up again. "Thanks for the heads up Three Dog. I'm glad we were able to let your voice be heard all across the Capital Wasteland again. You really do know a lot about the place."
Three Dog gave a proud smile. His smile then turned thankful. "I'm glad you found more music for my rotation! Yeeeoow!" His air wave personality was again in control. Ferna and Alice gave a little laugh to him.
"Just so you two lovely ladies, and cool cat know. You are free to use my guest bedroom if you ever find yourself in this part of the Wasteland again. Also here you go." He said as he gave each of the three travelers some medical supplies for their journey.
"Thank you." The three said in unison as they stored the supplies.
{-} {-} {-}
Once the trio left GNR headquarters they started to follow Ferna's arrow leading them to the source of the outcasts' distress signal. The journey was rather quiet surprisingly for the most part. However they had a feeling that would change as they found their selves in a tunnel system again.
"I wish we could find a way to at least by pass these tunnels once we get to the other side. I suppose there aren't any still functioning helicopters or vertibirds left though," Ferna said with a sigh.
"What are… Hell-li-copters? Also what good would a vertical bird do for us?" Alice asked.
Ferna blushed as she forgot to tell Alice about those during one of their talks. "They are flying machines that can carry people from one place to another. Unlike airplanes, which I think I told you about…" Alice nodded to this. "They can take off straight up and land straight down. They don't require a huge strip of paved land to accelerate before taking off. They can't go as far though. Still for a place like here, they would be the closest thing to perfect transportation."
"Well then maybe we will luck out and possibly find a group with such things that won't mind helping us out." Alice said as the got ready to enter the tunnels again.
{-} {-} {-}
Inside the tunnels things weren't all that bad really. It took the trio little time to get out again.
As Alice and Ferna emerged from the tunnel, they noticed a good sized group of Outcasts were engaged with a large number of Super Mutants. Ferna lined up several headshots in VATS and released them just as Alice threw a Jackbomb and launched a perfectly timed missile at said box thus causing a small fire ring to burst outwards and catch several Green skinned eunuchs on fire.
It seemed Three Dog decided it was the perfect time to play a song (Accentuate the Positive) sung by Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters, as the carnage from our heroines was unleashed. The song started out low and picked up right as the hits connected on their intended targets.
"You've got to Ac-cent-tchu-ate the positive!
Eee-limmmm-inate the negative!
Latch on to the affirmative
Don't mess with Mister In-between!
You've got to spread joy up to the maximum..."
Alice choose to "Accentuate the Positive" by shooting as many well aimed missiles into the mix as she could. She might have possibly hit a few of the outcasts, but that was nothing to really worry about at this moment.
Ferna did her best to "Spread Joy to the Maximum" as she threw several grenades, which she again chose to shoot before they landed on the ground with VATS. Just as before, the results were very effective. It wasn't her fault that one of the Outcasts stepped in the way of her kill zone and died, despite the use of power armor.
"That will probably sell really well. Even if it didn't save his life." Ferna thought as the Outcast member fell to the ground lifeless and she noticed the other Outcasts turned red on her HUD. Ferna smiled and said aloud, "Alright these asshole brotherhood guys are our secondary targets. I'm sure we can convince the ones in the bunker it wasn't our fault their friends died fighting Supers."
Cheshire chuckled and replied. "Have I told you I love the way you think before? Ferna?" Ferna gave a slight nod and smile to his words.
Alice decided it was time to bring out Sarah, and really reek some havoc. She managed to shoot several Supers and a few Outcasts as well. She tossed out a couple of clockwork bombs which distracted both Outcasts and Supers alike. She and Ferna made great use of this advantage.
Ferna had decided that she would give these outcasts the same courtesy they would give her, a "Dumbass technologically backwards wasteland slob" according to the ever knowing Three Dog. This meant she didn't really give a damn if they lived or died mostly.
Ferna threw three extra explosive grenades. Two went towards Supers and one went towards a small group of Outcasts. Once they exploded, the Supers were dead and the outcasts where… just pissed… Ferna frowned. Maybe this power armor stuff was actually worth looking into.
The small group of three outcasts opened fire on the red head, who dived behind a wall for protection. "Damn! I thought this would be easy…" Ferna grumbled to herself.
The red head then pulled out her own missile launcher and got ready. She wasn't anywhere near as good with it as Alice, but it would do. Ferna fired a missile at one of the outcasts' bodies. Her hit struck true and the power armor clad enemy seemed to collapse to the ground.
Ferna then fired another missile at a neighboring outcast, before throwing another grenade. She was happy to see the notifications of damaged limbs from her targets. She then pulled out good old Sierra and slipped into VATS before lining up several shots on the outcasts. Her shots struck true and the "Jerks of the Wastes" fell to the ground lifeless. There were even more than she thought there would be in the end.
After the battle cleared with a lot of thanks to Cheshire taking on Supers while Ferna and Alice made short work of the remaining Jerks.
"Well I hope this means you are willing to split Outcast spoils with me, Ferna," Alice said with a smirk as she looked over the aftermath of their carnage. There was lots of dead bodies to loot, and she knew she had contributed a good bit to the fight.
"Only if you more than make up for it with me later," Ferna said with a very saucy wink, which actually caused Alice to blush for a couple of seconds. The dark haired girl had many thoughts pass through her mind quickly.
"So… shall we get to looting?" Cheshire said with a grin. He knew they would find all kinds of goods on these Outcast fellows. This set of eunuchs looked to be better equipped than the standard lot as well.
Both girls gave grins, and Cheshire could have sworn he saw dollar signs in their eyes. "Of course!" They said cheerfully together. They really weren't in too much of a hurry to help out the Outcasts. They were also pretty sure they killed all of the ones heading towards the bunker anyways.
{-} {-} {-}
Alice was busy humming away as she looked over her inventory and the new wonderful items she found. She fully repaired up Sarah, and Larry (she still wasn't sure if that was a proper name for her missile launcher or not yet). She even had a suit of outcast power armor in decent condition. They had found out power armor was very heavy, so they went with quality instead of quantity.
Alice asked about this decision and if they could really get the money for it. "Well yeah we can. I mean come on we almost always buy before we sell. That gives the traders more funds to spend in return when we have big ticket items." Alice nodded to Ferna's wisdom.
Ferna was smiling brightly as she looked things over. She had scored really well. She repaired up Sierra thanks to the Eunuch Masters in the lot of green skins. She also had a laser rifle in great condition and something which looked like a scope she could attach to it once she found a work bench and possibly some scrape metal and a dap of Wonderglue. She would have to look into it more once she had the time.
The red head's prize however, was probably the suit of power armor she managed to piece back together to almost new condition. She might try it on, well once she figured out how to wear power armor. She was curious what it would be like. Though she might forsake the extra protection for better maneuverability.
Cheshire had managed to find some interesting blue prints on one of the bodies. He also found some other valuable knick knacks to sell. He was much more perceptive in his looting. Alice and Ferna went for the obvious, while he went for the more bizarre and useful. He also found some more 'scrap' pieces that he figured Ferna could use to help him with their little side project to get him some possible armor or weapons for his claws.
"Well friends. I think we made off rather well already." Alice said with a wide grin. "I still have plenty of room as well! God I love the Outcasts and their toys." Ferna gave a giggle to this. Cheshire just sagely nodded his head in agreement.
"Too true, Fair Alice. But we must be weary now. We have eliminated our cannon fodder on the way to this bunker." Cheshire said as he got into a low prowl stance. The girls nodded and quickly crouched down as they slowly approached what they figured was the one thousandth blown out building they had seen so far.
Ferna was tempted to place a plaque or something that would stay there for a long time in memoriam of all things pre-war.
Alice was in agreement, but Cheshire said it was useless in this world, and that they would be better off just remembering the memories of the building. Few other buildings provided the perfect dead body falling angle that this one did.
Ferna was in the lead and carefully peaked around the corner with a blue eye. She frowned as she saw six mutants in total waiting for them in what used to be a call center for an office.
"Four normal eunuchs and two masters. At the end of the hall there seems to be a normal one holding a rather interesting looking weapon. Almost like a Sarah high on energy ammo." Ferna told them.
"That sounds like such a lovely weapon to have… I guess you can have this first one, but I want the next one. After all it is clearly Sarah's long lost nerdy sibling." Alice said with a nod. Ferna stifled a giggle to this.
Once the vault girl had recovered, she spoke again. "One of the masters is on some ledge that is probably an explosion away from crumbling to dust about three windows from the back on the left side. He has a missile launcher, and probably one of Sierra's cousins once removed."
Alice gave a stifled giggle and nodded in understanding of what she was to do as she pulled out her own missile launcher and loaded it.
Cheshire looked to Ferna for instructions.
"I think you can sneak your way past the master up above and take out the green skin at the end of the room Cheshire. Alice and I will be enough of a distraction I think." She gave him a wink.
"The other master is on the ground floor here about midway. The reaming three normals are on the right side ground floor behind some sand bags. They have a missile launcher and two hunting rifles. If you could toss a clockwork bomb or something that can be a further distraction that would be lovely, Alice." Ferna said. Alice gave a smile and nodded.
"Cheshire, I want you to go after them, once you finish with detention boy in the back," Ferna ordered.
"It will be my pleasure." Cheshire said with his trademark grin.
"Well then..." Ferna silently clapped her hands together and said, "Break." The trio then got ready and went right to work.
{-} {-} {-}
After many shouts, explosions and gunshots later, two figures stood in the middle of the former call center as the dust settled, and a third shorter figure materialized next to them.
"haaaah" Ferna sighed lovingly. "I really love it when a plan comes together. Don't you two agree?" She only received a giggle and chuckle in response. That was all she needed though.
"Well I guess we just have to convince these Outcasts that we were the only ones to make it out of the super mutant ambush?" Alice asked Ferna.
"Yes we will. Make sure to show off that shiny new Pip-Boy of your's Alice. We can entice them, but be on guard." Alice nodded to Ferna.
"Cheshire." The redhead turned to their demonic feline companion. "Might be best if you keep out of sight for the moment. Do you think you could teleport to us once we enter the bunker and disappear again into hiding?"
The cat gave a deep rumbling laugh. "Just who do you think you are talking to, dear Ferna?"
"A Cheshire cat." Ches blinked to that. He didn't expect such a short answer. He didn't really have much time to come up with a witty retort before Ferna continued. "Regardless of your skills I still wish to hear an affirmative or negative."
The cat grinned. "An Affirmative, or A negative." Ferna just gave him a look. The cat sighed mentally. "Yes I can do both. Geez… I was only joking with the retort… I can do it Ferna."
Ferna smiled at him. "Good to hear, cat. You are very important in case things go to hell. I doubt these outcasts will know what to do with a demonic cat creature. Plus I have a feeling they won't all be wearing their helmets inside their cozy safe bunker."
The trio then heard several distant shouts of "Yeaaarrrrrgggg" followed by more explosions and gunshots. The trio quickly went to look out an upper level window to watch whatever was happening happen.
Cheshire was the first to arrive and found a great spot for them. The two girls got up next to him and watched as a few more brotherhood outcasts were shooting and fighting several supers. Cheshire lounged on the windowsill remains with an interested look. He pointed to a windowsill next to him and the girls went to it.
Ferna folded her arms and rested her elbows on the neighboring windowsill with Alice next to her. They watched the fire fight below them. There were actually a decent number of supers and outcasts fighting.
"Looks like there were some others in front of us after all," Ferna commented casually.
"It also looks like the eunuchs figured out they might need more mutant power to fight them. I guess they have almost half a brain," Alice commented.
"Half a brain? I think you give them too much credit, Alice. I mean they are easily distracted by a shiny tick-tocking metal rabbit." Their cat friend commented.
Alice munched on some 200+ year old popcorn. Ferna looked at the popcorn with interest. "Want some? I procured it from that nice Bortherhood quarter master guy. He gave me a good deal on it. I guess he was just as happy to hear new music on GNR as we were, even if it was just playing from my Pip-Boy."
Ferna took a hand full. She munched on it. It was a little stale for her tastes, but otherwise it seemed to have held up really well over the years. "Needs some butter," she said nonetheless.
Alice had never really had the stuff before, so to her it tasted just fine. She did want to try it with butter sometime. If they ever found someone that sold it. She loved the stuff actually. She had only heard about it some in her time. It wasn't easy to make or come by.
The dark haired girl then offered her favorite cat some. "I was hoping you wouldn't forget to ask me, Alice." The cat then extended a paw over to her with the padded side facing up. She placed some on his paw and he soon ate the pieces. He had come to love the stuff as well.
{-} {-} {-}
"Ha! Look! I told you it would be a super that fell first. I win!" Ferna said to Alice and Cheshire. The cat just chuckled at her.
Alice gave a small half hearted frown. "It seems you won, Ferna. That means next time we are spending alone time together you get to start the fun off." Ferna gave a fist pump in her victory.
Alice simply pulled out her biggest toy, loaded it up and fired. There was a deep Kerplump sound followed shortly afterwards by three adventurers ducking down but still peering out their windows as a mini mushroom cloud appeared after a blinding flash of light with a loud explosion.
Once everything cleared, there were just dead bodies in the combat zone. Ferna looked to Alice and gave a frown. "Next time a little warning would be nice… What was that for anyways?"
Alice shrugged her shoulders and casually replied. "They were taking too long."
Ferna's frown was only halfhearted now. "You're just jealous I won our bet."
Alice gave a little huff with no meaning behind it. "I said they were taking too long."
Ferna rolled her eyes. Cheshire spoke up. "I think it was a little of both. On the one paw." He raised a paw up. "Alice was jealous she lost your bet."
Ferna gave a teasing smug smile to this. "On the other paw." Cheshire was now sitting on just his hind legs as he raised up his other paw. "They were taking too long to kill each other. I mean really. That battle was going on to nearly 45 minutes without a single death." Alice nodded in agreement.
Ferna gave a thoughtful look as she asked, "I wonder where they trained to shoot and fight."
"Simple," Alice said. "They didn't." The green-eyed beauty then gave a smile.
Ferna just stared at the quick, accurate, and somehow still witty response from Alice. "How does she do that?! I mean I love her for doing it, but she almost always has something to say and add. And it works…" The vault girl thought to herself.
"These outcasts probably rely too much on their armor and advanced weapons. Whereas the mutants are eunuchs so they really want to end their life and so just rely on charging in and using others to run them out of ammo." Cheshire decided to expand on Alice's answer as he placed a paw under his chin.
"That would be an effective strategy against most here in the Wasteland probably," he spoke sagely and nodded.
"Well either way. This ought to make things easier for us. I mean if that bunker survived an actual nuclear blast all of those years ago. I doubt they would even hear that blast." Ferna said as she led them down to the bunker entrance.
"Do we need to search for a code or password to work the entrance?" Alice asked.
Ferna would have said no. Instead she gave a smile. "Yes. But not because we need a way inside. I got that part."
Alice gave a small laugh. "Of course we need to take any goodies we can. Stupid me for asking."
"Stupid beautiful maybe…" Ferna said with a wink. Alice blushed. Cheshire rolled his eyes and chuckled.
The group made quick work of looting the bodies. They were now standing on the lift that would lower them into the bunker. "You would think they would find a better way to hide the entrance to their bunker. I mean they could easily make a cover of some kind that blended in with the nearby debris." Alice said with a finger placed on her chin as Ferna had fun hacking the elevator.
"I don't think these outcasts think that much, Alice. I mean they did send out their distress call on a frequency anyone with a transmitting device could pick up," Cheshire said.
His tail flicked as he continued, "You would think a tech savvy military group would have some kind of secured emergency channel or something. Oh well…" He grinned viciously as usual. "Their loss."
They heard a metallic click and a sigh of disappointment as Ferna folded her arms and stood next to the cat. Cheshire gave a smile. "Was the password penises again?"
"Nope," she replied.
"Pussy?" Alice asked.
Ferna shook her head.
"Technology?" The cat asked. Again Ferna shook her head.
"boobs?" Alice asked as she glanced at Ferna's chest.
Ferna shifted a little so Alice got a better look at her breasts, but shook her head. "Outcasts4thewin."
Alice gave a very confused but cute (to Ferna) face. Cheshire's yellow eyes widened. "R-r-really?" He asked.
Ferna nodded. Cheshire face pawed and sighed. Alice giggled again as the lift lowered further. She was glad they had some wonderful lift music courtesy of GNR.
{-} {-} {-}
Once the lift finally started to show light below instead of more wall. Cheshire gave a nod and disappeared. Ferna lifted Sierra with one hand with her Pip-boy facing outwards.
Alice held her assault rifle in a similar fashion. She didn't want these Jerks of the Wastes to see Sarah yet. Plus it showed off that she too had a Pip-boy.
Once the lift came to a stop, a couple of power armor clad outcasts without helmets came out with sentry guns sighted on them. Ferna was ready to throw a couple of pulse grenades at the lot if needed.
"What happened to the others? Who are you two? How did you find this place?" The apparent leader of the small group demanded.
Ferna was about to reply, but Alice beat her to the punch. "A large group of Super Mutants attacked them. We are simply two travelers that managed to find our way into the fight."
The leader gave them a neutral expression. He was about to demand they answer his last question, but the dark haired girl answered him.
Alice shifted her stance a little bit and continued, "We managed to come across a large group of your allies and helped them fight off the supers. There were a lot of them and the green skins were heavily armed. We survived and used up the last of our med supplies. One of your allies, he said he was Defender Randoff, told us the password and ordered us to tell you the way is clear above."
Alice chose a name she saw on one of the dogtags from a body she looted. Using Defender Morril's name would have been something anyone who heard the broadcast could use.
The leader seemed to drop his guard a little bit to her words. Ferna decided that maybe she should let Alice do the talking more often.
Alice once more shifted her body to accentuate her curves and gave a pleasant smile. "So… is there any other way we can help?" Ferna gave a coy smile as she did something similar to Alice.
The leader, Defender Sibley, gave a cocky smile. "Oh I can think of plenty…" He then gave what was the poorest attempt of male seduction either of the two girls had seen. Cheshire, unseen by the others, gave a mental laugh at the poor attempt.
"But before that… I think you two should follow me. I'm sure Protector McGraw will want to see you too. Since you both have those computer interface devices on your arms. I'm Defender Sibley by the way. I ain't too surprised Randoff got himself killed. He was always foolhardy and wanted to charge in head first." He gave a dry chuckle that had a hint of sadness to it, but that was all. It was just a hint.
Cheshire still unseen by the others had to admit that the Defender was actually impressive, if he was observant enough to know what a Pip-boy was like that. Ferna wanted them to show the devices off as a means to reach the outcasts greed. She hadn't expected them to actually know what it could be.
"If you don't mind my asking, sir. What's going on here exactly?" Ferna asked. She thought the Jerks should at least know she could talk.
The outcast gave a chuckle. "Well it seems you two are actually half way intelligent for a couple of techno…" he coughed and spoke again. "Locals."
"What we got here is one big rat-fuck of a mission. Supposedly there are a few vaults filled with things of Outcasts' interest. But the lovely little caveat, is you have to complete a simulation training program from some big epic battle back before the bombs fell."
Sibley sighed, "There have been a few incidents here. So we are out of volunteers…" He left the sentence hanging. He was about to say something, but Alice answered for him.
"And due to your limited amount of trained personnel the brotherhood can't take any more risks. Right?" She said with a friendly smile.
The defender gave her a half smile in return. "Exactly… So nice to meet a couple of chu… Locals who actually know how things work. Anyways… if you two complete the simulation. We will be sure to repay you with lots of caps, and maybe some ammo even." Sibley then led the two girls into what looked like a makeshift office filled with several computers.
Sibley walked up to a man with a flat top military haircut who stood in power armor. Oddly enough the man's presence was rather inspiring. "Defender Sibley. Who are these two and why did you bring them to me?" His voice wasn't disrespectful or anything like that. It was neutral.
"These two lovely ladies wish to help, and have the appropriate hardware to do so, Sir. Plus they did manage to make it here, even if they had help. I think that means they have a chance." Defender Sibley actually was respectful when facing his commanding officer surprisingly.
The Protector nodded. "Good work solider. You are dismissed. I wish to speak with our guests alone." Sibley frowned but did as he was told.
Once the Defender left, McGraw looked to the two girls. "So you wish to help. Why?" He asked. His eyes narrowed a bit.
Alice responded. "Well we kind of got ourselves in this mess and Defender Randoff did kind of help us get here. We feel this is a way to repay his sacrifice. I am Alice and my friend here is Ferna."
Ferna then added in a business tone. "Also we heard there was an opportunity to earn some caps form Defender Sibley. Still mostly we wish to help for Randoff's sake. Is that enough to get part of your trust? Sir?"
"I'd trust a Wastelander to polish my power armor, and that's pushing it." McGraw said.
"Ahhh. But I am not a Wastelander. I'm from a vault. Also I did say get part of your trust. Not all of it." Ferna said. She fought real hard to not smirk too much.
The Protector gave a dry laugh. "That you did." He then turned serious. "Anyways… We know there are a few vaults here filled with tech the Brotherhood would like to get their hands on. But to get to it. You have to complete the VR simulation. The simulation is of Operation Anchorage. It was a really significant event in history according to Olin, our scribe."
Ferna's blue eyes widened in interest as he continued talking. "The thing is it is a very combat heavy simulation, and the safety protocols are offline. That means if you die in the sim you really die… You are still standing there so I guess that means you're interested."
Both girls nodded to him. "If you complete the simulation you will be allowed to look through the vault as well. However… unless Scribe Olin has come up with some miracle in the last couple of days… Only one of you two can enter. We have a secondary VR unit, but it isn't in working order and most likely won't be anytime soon. It seems the sim has a cooperative mode allowing up to six people in. Only two VR units are here so we figure there must be other units somewhere else, which at one time worked with the ones here."
He gave a sigh, "Even knowing that. We found out only these two are fully hooked up. I am only guessing something interrupted the progress of the others." He looked the two over and finished, "Well let's go check in with Scribe Olin. If you are still interested." The girls nodded.
Ferna hoped they would get to see this other VR unit. She thought she might be able to get it hooked up and functional. After all she knew her way around Vault-Tec technology, and that was some of the most advanced stuff around before the bombs fell. She never did have any practice with VR technology, but she was required to study a manual on the stuff many times for her certification.
The two girls followed McGraw until they were face to face with a rather sour looking woman only a couple years older than them max. Her blonde hair was in a military style. The woman sighed as she saw the group approach. "Great... more 'volunteers'…"
"You know the drill Scribe Olin. The dark haired girl is Alice. The other one is Ferna." McGraw said in a no nonsense voice. The scribe straighten up and saluted him as he went back to his 'office'.
"Well I guess I should get the basics out of the way. Only one of you two can enter the simulation at a time, also there are no safety protocols on. We tried to get them online, but this is some really advanced technology here. Anyways it is a training simulation for the liberation of Anchorage. I bet you don't even know about it." She grumbled the last part out of exasperation.
Despite this she did think two things. "Ferna is a pretty name… And Alice is… beautiful."
Ferna smiled and spoke. "The liberation of Anchorage Alaska was a key battle during the war with China before the bombs fell. It was the first and only recorded Chinese incursion on US Soil during the war. General Constantine Chase was in charge of the operation. The US was successful and this was part of the reason why the enemy resorted to using nukes despite knowing the risks of such a brazen act."
Olin just blinked as the red head continued. "Later there was some debate about the actual details of the operation. Many felt the General was going crazy. When in actuality, he was embellishing on the details as a means to get his troops and his peers to prepare for the worst case scenario. His philosophy was 'plan for the worst hope for the best.' Because of this future battles with the enemy were much more equal." Olin raised an eyebrow at this. She hadn't heard much about this in her research but it did make sense.
"Later during the war many of the troops coined the phrase. 'Remember Anchorage!' as a saying to boost morale. Many suspect that the USA would have won the war if not for the bombs, but that is purely speculation by this point. Both nations and much of the world were devastated by the use of nuclear bombs which ended the war and most of humanity." Ferna finished solemnly.
Olin was impressed with this knowledge. She had come across it, but that was because of her access privileges in the Citadel before everything went down. She didn't really show her surprise but she was a little more cordial to the two girls as a result.
"Impressive for a "Local". Still only one of you two can get into the VR unit, and you mus…" Olin said but was interrupted by the red head.
"I grew up in a vault… thank you very much." The red haired girl said as she gave Olin an offended huff.
Olin was surprised to hear this, but again didn't let it faze her. "Still we only have one working VR unit so you two have to decide who goes first."
"Could I see the secondary unit?" Ferna asked.
Olin would have given her an angry face and vehemently said 'no', but she decided to humor the girl. "I suppose you could, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. I don't see the point in showing you it, but you actually know your history so I can afford this service to you."
Olin led the two girls to the secondary unit. When the door opened sparks spewed from a severed line and the VR unit had a red light indicating it wasn't operational. "Like I told you. It isn't operational. I might be able to get it ready in a couple of weeks or so, but that is too far away from now. Let's go and get one of you two dressed and ready to enter the simulation."
The outcast scribe was about to leave the room when she turned around and noticed Ferna was giving the VR unit a look over. It seemed her companion Alice had somehow already repaired the power supply line to the unit using scrap metal, scrap electronics, and Wonderglue. Olin didn't even notice as the doors shut on them.
Olin had just recovered from her shock and was about to say something when she saw Ferna give an 'ah ha' look. The red head then touched something on the VR unit and an access panel opened up. The girl then hooked up her Pip-boy after saying to Alice. "I sent you a backup copy of my Pip-Boy's OS and User files." Alice nodded to her.
Olin just watched as the red head got to work.
Ferna pressed a few buttons on her Pip-boy and then a secondary panel opened up revealing a keyboard. Ferna gave Alice a self-satisfied smile. The dark haired girl gave a chuckle.
Olin watched as Ferna had the cutest look of concentration on her face. She had her tongue sticking out just a little bit. She found it rather adorable. If she wasn't a professional solider and Ferna wasn't a… whatever she was. Things might have been different between the two of them.
Olin's eyes drifted towards Alice. The dark haired beauty was gazing fondly at the red head. Soon she heard a sigh and looked at Ferna.
"Something wrong Ferna?" Alice asked.
Ferna gave her an excited look. "Finally a challenge! No stupid password like boobs, penises or Outcasts4thewin," Ferna said with a devilish smile.
Olin's eyes widened in disbelief and her jaw dropped. "He didn't…" She thought to herself. She then sighed and shook her head. "He did… of course he did…" The scribe didn't read too much into this exchange of dialogue or she would have realized this meant Ferna had hacked the lift's controls to gain entrance to their bunker, since that was the admin password Sibley chose.
Ferna then stretched, folded her hands, and raised them to the ceiling. The red haired beauty stood on her tiptoes for a couple of seconds. She then gave that devilish smile again as she said, "Time to get back to work, Ferna." For some reason both Alice and Olin found her use of the third person cute.
The red head then got to typing as she soon gave a fist pump in victory and flashed Alice a 'V' with her index and middle fingers. She then clicked a few times and gave a brilliant smile as she started to type furiously on the keyboard. Olin was still impressed with the way Ferna found the panels, much less seemed to be working on the actual program.
{-} {-} {-}
Alice seemed to be silently cheering Ferna on as the red head pounded away on the keyboard. It was a few minutes later that Ferna finally gave a cheer. "Yes! Take that Pre-war military tech!"
Shortly after the red head's victory cheer the group heard a whirling sound and then a couple of beeps. Then the light on the VR unit turned off for a couple of seconds.
Once the light turned on again, a smooth mechanical female voice spoke from somewhere. "Training VR units five and six online. Updates loading… Updates installed… Safety protocols established for unit 6… Protocols for unit five admin level seven access locked… Please contact Virtual Strategic Solutions Incorporation and your designated technical representative if you wish to unlock these settings…"
Blue eyes and green eyes shown with some excitement.
"Extra health and Ammo patches installed… Grading system initialized… Grading system using ammo and health station usage criteria initialized… Cooperative mode unlocked and activated for units five and six…" There was some silence and the spoke again, "VR units one through four set on autistic mode… Report to Vault…"
A male voice interrupted the female voice for a moment and said, "Number redacted. Uplink to private server required and minimum security clearance alpha needed for access."
The three girls were in awe of the whole situation. They were so caught up in it didn't hear the voice say, "Clearance and access rights confirmed." Unknown to the gathered young women, a set of coordinates were uploaded to both Ferna's and Alice's Pip-boys.
The female voice was once again speaking. "All files updated to version 1687.34a. No further updates available or needed. Timeliness of updates acceptable."
Alice gave a questioning look to that. She wasn't sure how a 200+ year gap was acceptable, but she didn't bother the others. Both Ferna and Olin were still overcome by a sense of awe.
"Do you wish to activate extra and bonus objective options?" The voice asked.
"Ummmm… Yah…Why not…" Ferna said blandly.
"You must have proper access rights and authorization to do such a thing." The voice said.
Ferna shrugged her shoulders. "It was worth a try." She thought to herself. She was sure she wouldn't have the access requirements or authorization.
"Scannning…" The voice said as a pristine lens popped up from a nearby wall. "Scanning…"
"Welcome Programmer Ferna Lancaster… Checking clearance level…" The cool female voice said.
As the lens scanned Ferna again. Both her and Alice wondered what it would be like to have a female robot companion that used such a voice. They both kind of liked the voice.
"Clearance level check: complete… Clearance level: Alpha SCI… Authorization status: Accepted." The surprisingly alluring cool female voice spoke.
Ferna just gasped. She knew her security clearance level. She didn't think much of it though. It was required for her to do her job and have access to Vault-Tec data needed for her job.
Usually a programmer didn't have such a high level clearance, but since 101 used Pip-Boy Programmers as the go to people for anything tech and repair related. Pip-Boy programmers were given a high level clearance in the vault. She never thought it would be useful for anywhere else though.
Ferna's insides were abuzz with excitement upon hearing the voice's confirmation. She was mentally overcome with giggles of how she might make use of her situation in the future. Outwardly, the red head betrayed nothing of her inner excitement.
"Full program access granted to Programmer Ferna… Make sure you positively represent America's interests. Once you activate the VR program, you will be able to choose the options for your training. Have a lovely day." The eye thing then shrunk back into the wall.
The girls just stared for a few minuets in silent awe. It was Olin that finally broke the silence.
"How… What... Who...?" She shook her head to clear it. "What just happened? And who are you, Ferna?" Olin finally asked coherently.
"I don't know what just happened. But if you are wondering how I got into the system and activated it… well I was I Pip-Boy Programmer in my vault."
"huh?" Olin asked. She didn't know much about how vaults ran. Most of the ones the brotherhood combed through were already abandoned.
"When you turn 16 in a vault. You are given a test that determines what your specialization is and how you will help the vault prosper. Some of them are cool like administration or Security officer." Ferna said. She had a small smile as she thought of her dear friend Amata back in 101.
"Others," she continued. "Are rather mundane like hair dresser or fry cook." She took a deep breath. "Then there are some that are hidden gems. Like mine. I was selected to be a Pip-Boy Programmer. Usually this wouldn't be as awesome, but in my vault we are used as the go to people for anything technology and/or repair related."
Ferna couldn't help but glow with pride just a little bit as she continued. "I learned a lot about Vault-Tec and their systems. And no matter what you say… Vault-Tec technology was the most advanced you could find. I had to learn a lot about it to pass my certification course in my vault."
The red head blushed a little here. "I actually scored one of the highest scores in a really long time." Usually the test was just a formality, but Ferna insisted on actually taking it seriously. There weren't many programmers so if the GOAT said you were one you were one no matter what. You would get most of your training on the job regardless.
Olin just blinked and finally nodded to her. "Well… It seems that both of you can go into the simulation now. You only have to decide who gets unit six and who gets unit five. The unit in here is six. Regardless of who gets which unit… you both need to wear a Neural Interface Suit. After that you need to get in your pods. I will be waiting by unit five."
Olin was about to just leave, but she found herself telling the two girls. "Good luck on your mission simulation, you two."
{-} {-} {-}
Alice and Ferna fought a little bit to determine who got the 'safe' unit and who didn't. Both girls insisted their girlfriend took the safe unit. In the end, Cheshire appeared near them with a coin. "Heads Ferna takes the safe unit." The cat's deep voice said. "Tails Alice takes the safe unit."
He flipped the coin. It spun in the air for a good minute before then landing on his open paw. He then placed the coin on his the back of his other paw.
The tension in the room was mounting. Cheshire could feel the eyes staring at him intently. Each pair wishing to be the one given the 'broken' unit, so their love could live no matter what.
"Tails…" The cat said smoothly as he looked at the coin before again disappearing into the shadows.
Alice gave a forlorn sigh. "Well that is that…" She then looked to Ferna sharply. "You better live, Ferna…" The red head gulped to the force behind Alice's words.
Ferna had every intention of living, but she cared more for Alice to live than herself. She wasn't really thinking about finding her dad right now. "I will do all I can, Alice. At least we will be able to help each other out in the simulation." She gave a smile to her favorite girl.
The dark haired girl smiled faintly. "You can count on it, Ferna. No matter what training simulations you choose for us." Ferna nodded and the two quickly changed into their Neural Interface Suits. It was very sexy and rather form fitting on the other they thought, but the suits were also surprisingly heavy.
Ferna walked back into the main hallway of the bunker. She was a little anxious about what was to come, but she was ready. She would choose extra missions that would help them improve important skills while they were inside. She only hoped that everything would work out in the end. She had confidence it would, but still she wasn't going to be overly confident.
"Maybe once Alice and I meet up in the simulation things will work out or something." She thought to herself as she nodded to Olin. The Outcast scribe gave her a rather friendly smile and nod in return as she activated the VR pod.
Ferna got into the pod easily. She looked to Olin.
The scribe gave her the same friendly smile. She then spoke softly to Ferna. "At least you have someone with you. Everyone else would have been in the thing solo. You have Alice though. I hope you two make it out alright. Good luck. See you on the other side. If you live."
The last thing Ferna saw of the outside world was the hatch of the VR pod closing. She heard a click as the pod secured itself shut. Ferna then felt a rush of cold air as the hatch turned into a bright white screen with shooting stripes of black before it faded to dark and a menu appeared before her.
Ferna gave a sigh. "Great… Lots of choices… This ought to be fun…" She took a deep breath and got ready for whatever was to follow.
Ferna Level 9! Battle Rhythm: Whether it is a song about accentuating the positive, or the Ink Spots telling about the pains and highs of love. You seem to be in the groove and make much better shots with your weapon of choice. +10% Accuracy, +3% damage overall, and + 25% critical chance when listening to GNR. Too bad for your enemies, you and that wonderful dark haired girl made sure the radio station could be heard all over the Capital Wasteland: "From D.C to the Republic of Dave, and from Megaton all the way to Gridershade! Hell! Thanks to that red hot chicka from 101 and her friend, I bet even the Good old Pitt can hear us loud and proud!"
Alice Level 9! Got to love that music: During Alice's days in London Radios were much harder to find. Because of this, now that she is in the future, the green-eyed girl loves music! Especially GNR! It doesn't really help her much more in battle, but outside of it, Alice can bring almost anyone to her side. This excludes certain eunuchs fortunately or unfortunately… depending on your thoughts. +1% damage overall… every little bit counts… +15 to speech when talking to others and +10 to Barter while listening to GNR! Works even with those that actually have a brain, but somehow still hate your guts. Nudge nudge wink wink… raiders don't have brains.
A/N: Sorry about the cliff hangerish ending… I will try to get the next chapter up soon… ish…
Also the song "Accentuate the Positive" was originally composed and preformed by Johnny Mercer and the Pied Pipers.
So yahhhh I like the whole weapon mod thing form New Vegas and decided to bring it to the Capital wasteland in a fashion. After all Alice, Ferna, and Cheshire should be as fun and deadly as possible I think. Remember… this isn't really a serious toned fic, but also not some way out there screwball comedy. I figure there are more than plenty of both kinds of fics already. Anyways, hope you enjoyed the chapter!
As always… feel free to review if you want. I am still looking for companion options. And trying to figure out if I want to add one more or not. I am conflicted here and taking suggestions. Also these suggestions are for permanent companions. Not someone there for just part of the story or something.
So trickster3696 I am sorry to say, but I won't be taking you up on those suggestions. They are good suggestions, but I am slightly ashamed to say I don't know enough about those characters and their games to do them justice. I haven't been as able to play games for a while lately. Thanks for the suggestions anyways. I'm sure they would work well with the right author.
