Ymke's POV- Highwind
Xenysis and Ymke were in the dragons' stable. Xenysis had recently enchanted a scale from each of the dragons. Ymke looked confused at the scales.
Xenysis: "We can use these scales to summon Equitar and Fury. That way, we can fly at any time."
Ymke, surprised: "…That's brilliant!"
Xenysis and Ymke made their way into the cockpit. In front of them was what appeared to be a black hole. A swirling cloud of darkness surrounded a ball of light in a spiral shape. The light was being sucked into the center. It looked like the end of the world.
Ymke: "Is that it? The heartless homeworld?"
Dragonose, stunned: "Looks like it. Donald, is it safe to land there?"
Donald: "Well, yes. But only at the edge of it."
Sora: "Well then, lets land, Donald!"
After a rough landing, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Xenysis, Ymke, and Dragonose found themselves literally in the middle of nowhere. They were on a rocky platform floating far from the main world. Xenysis, however, began striding forward. He seemed to be walking in extremely thin air. The entire group was gawking at him.
Xenysis, gazing at Ymke: "Seems solid to me."
After an awkward silence from the group, as well as a coughing fit from Dragonose, Goofy spoke up.
Goofy: "Gawrsh, is that all that's left of the worlds taken by the heartless?"
Sora: "Those worlds will be restored if we beat Ansem, right?"
Donald: "You betcha!"
Dragonose: "But if we do beat him, and all these worlds become restored and disconnected, what's going to happen to this place? And to us?"
Ymke: "Well, uhh…"
Goofy: "This is a heartless world, so maybe it'll just disappear."
The rest of the group let out a loud "Huh?!" to that comment. Then, Goofy quickly tried to fix his mistake.
Goofy: "But no worries. Even if this place goes poof, our hearts ain't going nowhere. I'm sure we'll find our pals again. Yup, I just know that we will."
Donald: "Uh-huh."
Sora: "…Yeah, you're right."
Sora gazes down at something in his hands. It's star-shaped. Made of seashells, and with Sora's face on it. Xenysis must've recognized it, because he gasped at the sight of it.
Xenysis: "Sora? Isn't that a wayfinder?!"
Sora: "…Huh? Oh, yeah. It's Kairi's."
Xenysis: "Well then, you should give it back when we meet up with her again."
Sora, nodding: "Will do."
The group took a careful step forward, and was surprised to find an invisible floor. Afterward they ran forward and Sora ended up getting smacked in the face by an invisible wall. Xenysis grabbed Ymke before she hit the wall as well. Ymke beamed at Xenysis, grateful for his quick thinking.
Ymke, smiling: "Thanks."
Xenysis, lovingly: "No problem, Ymke. I wanted to." To everyone else, more seriously: "Follow my every step. Apparently, there are invisible walls."
Everyone followed Xenysis, Ymke, and Dragonose, a bit more cautiously. After a minute of treading through enemy territory, a ball of darkness enveloped the group. A behemoth Nobody appeared. Xenysis, Ymke, and Dragonose used the same strategy they used for the last one back at Hollow Bastion. It went down sooner than last time, even with the endless curagas that the trinity had to give to Sora, Donald, and Goofy.
Afterward, the group made it to the ball in the center of the they entered the ball of light, the group ended up in a giant crevasse. At the bottom of the cavern, the was a crater with wind coming out of it.
Goofy: "I wonder where that Ansem feller went."
Donald: "Dive into the most dangerous place, and we'll find him."
Ymke: "Makes sense. By the way, this might be a bad time, but why was there a turkey in your fridge?"
Donald, shocked: "What?! A turkey!?" Irritated: "Sora?!"
Sora: "Uhh…" avoiding the question: "That crater down there looks pretty dangerous, maybe he's there."
Before anyone could say anymore, Sora jumped off the the platform everyone was on, and began flying! Without wings! Xenysis, Dragonose, and Ymke gazed in awe. Dragonose stretched out his wings, and Ymke created wings of fire.
Xenysis, shocked: "Can I do that?!"
Ymke, grinning: "Sure, just imagine Dragonose's wings made of darkness."
Xenysis did so, and two bat wings made of pure darkness. Afterward, the trinity took a running leap, and glided into the crater, followed by Donald and Goofy. The two trios landed on a strange platform that resembled a jaw. A blue puff of fire appeared on the other side of the platform, in front of an opening. Ymke and Dragonose gasped at the sight of it.
Xenysis, confused: "What is it?"
Ymke: "It's a wisp."
Sora: "A what?!"
Dragonose: "A wisp. A will o the wisp. They're said to lead you to your fate."
Goofy: "Gawrsh! Then what are we waiting for?!"
The group took off to the closest platform, and landed near a pillar of colored light. Ymke walked in, and was surprised to find herself in her hometown: Netherlands, Terra Nova. The only difference was that they were in a park clearing. Ymke remembered this as where she first saw the heartless. Just as she thought that, a group of dusks showed up. Sora's trinity looked shocked and surprised, while Ymke's trinity just summoned their keyblades and jumped into battle. With a single swipe each, the three of them took out all the dusks.
A flash of light blinded them, and they found themselves back on the strange platform, with another wisp at an opening. The group jumped after it, and landed on another platform. This one led to another crater. Before they all jumped in, Ymke told Xenysis something.
Ymke: "Xenysis! If we don't get out of this, I would like to say that I'm glad that we met in Traverse Town."
Xenysis, smiling warmly: "Me, too."
Xenysis gave Ymke a peck on the cheek, and dived into the deep, before opening his wings of darkness. Ymke took a moment to think things through, before diving after him.
