Somebody To Die For
Chapter 27
The next morning Anna was up and ready as she saw Judith cooing at her as Bailey and the others came in with breakfast.
"Today is your big day." She said smiling at her.
Anna smiled at them all. "I'm glad I didn't have any wine last night, I'm feeling fresh this morning," she said as Bailey and Judith sat down on the bed with her.
"Me, Beth and Carol took some aspirin this morning." Maggie said as they all ate their breakfast along with the coffee.
"Alright then Anna, go shower and get ready." Beth told her as they all finished eating their breakfast.
Anna nodded as she went to shower and put on her wedding dress, while all the bridesmaids got changed and did their hair and make-up.
They then got Anna to sit down at the dressing table and started to do her make up while Beth did her hair and placed some flowers in her locks.
"You look beautiful mama." Judith said happily.
"Thank you, sweetheart, so do you," Anna said softly as she looked at her flower girl. "You all do," she said as Carol fetched her flowers. "I can't believe I'm getting married."
"Rick loves you and you love him." Bailey said smiling as they saw Daryl come with Dean and she took him from him gently and kissed him.
"Everyone's gathered outside," Daryl said softly, as all the bridesmaids went to take their positions. He offered an arm to Anna. "Ya ready to go?"
"I am." Anna said smiling as she took his arm and they all went outside to meet Rick and the others who were waiting outside.
Rick stood and straightened his tie, as Hershel stood in front of him, holding a bible and wearing a reassuring smile. He pointed behind him silently, and Rick turned around to see his beautiful bride walking down the aisle towards him.
He swallowed slightly as emotion overcame him, she was wearing the wedding dress he had seen her in back at the prison as Daryl and her reached him.
"You look beautiful." He said holding her hand tightly.
"You look handsome." She replied as Daryl smirked.
Everyone took their positions with Carl down the front holding the rings, as Hershel cleared his throat and began the ceremony.
"Family and friends, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the joining of Rick Anthony Grimes and Anna Laurel Stewart in marriage. With love and commitment, they have decided to live their lives together as husband and wife."
"No other human ties are more tender and no other vows more important than those you are about to take. Both of you come to this day with the deep realization that the contract of marriage is sacred as are all of its obligations and responsibilities."
"In the years they have been together, their love and understanding of each other has grown and matured, and now they have decided to live their lives together as husband and wife," Hershel said softly, as he pulled out his papers and began to read. "True marriage is more than joining the bonds of marriage of two people; it is the union of two hearts. It lives on the love you give each other and never grows old, but thrives on the joy of each new day. Marriage is love. May you always be able to talk things over, to confide in each other, to laugh with each other, to enjoy life together, and to share moments of quiet and peace, when the day is done? May you be blessed with a lifetime of happiness and a home of warmth and understanding."
"Do you Rick Damien Grimes, take Anna Laurel Stewart to be your wife, promising to love and cherish, through joy and sorrow, sickness and health, and whatever challenges you may face, for as long as you both shall live?
Rick nodded. "I do."
"And do you, Anna Laurel Stewart, take Rick Damien Grimes to be your husband, promising to love and cherish, through joy and sorrow, sickness and health, and whatever challenges you may face, for as long as you both shall live?"
Anna smiled. "I sure do."
Hershel nodded. "You may now exchange rings."
Carl walked over with the rings, and Daryl picked his up first. "I, Rick, give you, Anna, this ring as an eternal symbol of my love and commitment to you," he said with a smile, as he slid the ring onto her ring finger.
Anna picked hers up next and smiled softly at Carl, before placing the ring on Rick's finger. "And I, Anna, give you, Rick, this ring as an eternal symbol of my love and commitment to you,"
Hershel grinned at them both. "I hereby pronounce you husband and wife," he announced, before looking at Daryl. "You may kiss your bride."
Rick smiled as he pulled Anna into him and kissed her passionately, while everyone else cheered and clapped in the background. He smiled as he wrapped his arms around her waist. "Mrs Anna Grimes."
"Mr Rick Grimes." Anna said kissing him as they all headed inside and she hugged him, Carl and Judith as everyone smiled.
They all went into the sitting room which had been decorated for their wedding day, and Beth handed out wine to everyone. Anna smiled at them all. "Alright girls, gather around," she said as she threw her bouquet, and Carol and Andrea grinned as they tried to catch it.
Phillip and Axel smirked at each other and shook their heads.
Bailey, Carol, Andrea and Beth ended up catching it and they all grinned at each other happily as they started to open the gifts.
"This one's from us." Daryl said smiling as he held Bailey to him.
Rick smiled as he opened the box and found inside both his and Anna's guns. They had now been engraved with their initials. "Thanks guys," Rick grinned. "Definitely the most useful present."
Carl and Judith handed them another box, which they opened to find a beautiful frame, with five spaces inside. There was a picture of Rick, one of Anna, one of Carl and one of Judith, as well as a blank one. "For the baby," Carl said softly.
"Thank you, both of you, that's beautiful." Rick said hugging them along with Anna as Patricia came over with Will.
"This is from us."
Rick smiled at them. "Y'all shouldn't have gone to so much trouble," he said softly, as he opened it up to find a baby book, with Baby Grimes written on the front.
"You can put all your new baby's pictures and things in there," Patricia smiled.
"Thank you, Patricia." Anna said hugging them all as they all took the gifts and stroked them when she saw Katy come over with the other children.
"The baby can have one of Smoky's kittens when she gives birth." She said shyly.
"Thank you, guys," Anna said softly. "That's kind of you."
Carol smiled as she handed them both a knife. "Why don't you cut the cake?"
They both nodded and they walked to the table and cut into the cake as everyone cheered and smiled at them.
"Let's party!" Glenn yelled.
They all laughed at him, as Carol and Maggie handed out plates of food and Beth filled up everyone's glasses of wine, as they all enjoyed themselves.
They all happily talked and laughed as Rick pulled Anna into him and they held Carl and Judith who both smiled at their parents.
"I feel like shit." Merle groaned after having a fifth glass of Southern Comfort.
"No wonder," Beth laughed as she pulled the bottle away from him and smirked. "Someone's going to be like a bear in the morning."
They all laughed at that as they saw Rick carry Anna.
"Have a good night, you two." Daryl smirked.
"We will, don't worry," Rick smiled back, as the rest watched them disappear.
"Today was nice," Carol smiled, as she sat back with Axel. "Makes a change from all the death and destruction."
"No kidding mom, dad." Sophia said smiling as she curled into them and Axel hugged them all tightly as everyone fell asleep on the couches.
They all smiled happily, as everyone was content, glad they were safe for once.
The next morning everyone woke up seriously hungover and went upstairs to bed after getting changed with Bailey curling into Daryl, Dean and Aoife as they all cuddled into each other.
"I love you all." She said softly.
"Love ya too," Daryl said as he groaned when he shifted. "Fuckin' headache."
"Aww you poor baby," Bailey laughed.
"Fuckin' headache is killin' me." He said wincing as she got out of bed and gave him some aspirin along with a glass of water.
"Feel better?" She asked stroking his head.
"Mmm, a little," Daryl smirked, lapping up the attention, as Bailey got up and closed the curtains so the light didn't hurt his eyes.
"Tough luck, Dixon," she laughed. "That's what you get for drinking so much."
"I feel like shit." He said as she got back into bed and pulled him into her as she stroked his hair and they watched their two children lovingly.
"They're getting so big." She said softly as she stroked Daryl's hair.
"Sure are," Daryl smiled as he kissed her forehead gently. "We're gonna have another little one soon too," he said as he rubbed her stomach.
She smiled at him lovingly and curled into him as they both fell asleep holding each other tightly along with their children.
"I love ya." He said kissing her.
Anna smiled as she lay in bed looking at her wedding ring, with Rick's warm body curled into her. She couldn't believe she was married, to her best friend, at the end of the world nonetheless. She was Mrs Anna Grimes. She looked up at the family portrait on the wall and smiled softly as she rubbed her stomach.
She curled into Rick and smiled happily as she saw his reaper tattoo on his back staring at her, she smiled as she lightly traced it.
She saw one of the scars on his shoulder and lightly kissed them before curling into him and falling asleep.
"I love you, Rick."
She felt Rick's arms tighten around her as she drifted off.
She had her perfect man.
Everyone slept in enjoying the peaceful morning and the kids decided to cook breakfast for all of the adults.
"What should we cook?" Sophia asked softly.
"How about some waffles?" Sam suggested as they got out the ingredients. "We could put cream on them, and fruit from the garden."
The kids all nodded and set to work, as Carl and the older kids worked with the hot stuff.
They had cooked the waffles and were now making coffee for all of the adults when they had finished and they all headed upstairs.
Carl and Judith headed into Anna and Rick's room where they were both fast asleep, their arms linked together.
They both smiled as they set the tray down on the table beside the bed and shook them gently. "Mom, dad? Breakfast," he said softly, as he and Judith climbed on the bed.
They both woke up and smiled at them as they saw the tray.
"You shouldn't have, thank you kids." They said hugging them both tightly.
Carl smiled. "It's your honeymoon, mom and dad," he said happily, as Rick and Anna started to eat their breakfast. "You should be relaxing."
Rick nodded. "We will. Thank you."
"You don't have to thank us." Carl said with a happy smile as they all sat together in a peaceful silence with Judith snuggled into them.
"Lori shit brain."
Rick almost choked on his breakfast with a laugh. "She sure is, sweetheart," he smirked. "Or she was, anyway," he added quietly.
"Where the hell did she hear that?" Anna giggled as they all tucked into their lunch when they saw Smudge run in along with Simba.
The two kittens jumped onto the bed and cuddled into them.
"Hey you two," Anna smiled as she looked down at them, as they began to purr. She rubbed her bump, as she smiled at them all. "My family."
They all smiled at that warmly as they lay on the bed and simply relaxed.
Carol was in the kitchen cleaning up when she heard the door, and went to answer it, hoping it was something she could handle since no one else was downstairs. She opened the door to see John, the FBI agent looking at her.
"Hi, sorry to interrupt," he said quickly. "May I come in?" Carol nodded and let him in, where he sat down in the empty kitchen, looking around. "I'm here about the disappearance of Lori Ronson," he explained. "Her friend, Theodore Carnes, reported her as missing for several days now. Apparently this was the last place she was believed to have gone."
"It was, she came here and stabbed Bailey in the chest with a knife." Carol explained as everyone came downstairs into the kitchen.
"What's going on mom?" Sophia asked looking at John wearily.
"John wants to know where Lori went." She said calmly.
"We did what had to be done," Merle said firmly as he watched John. "She was a danger to our group and our children. I hope you can understand that."
"You killed her in self defence?" John asked with understanding.
"She didn't give us a choice; she attacked Bailey in the kitchen." Rick explained tired.
John nodded. "Well, thank you for being honest," he said with a small smile. "I'll let my boss know. Hopefully we don't have to trouble you again."
They all nodded and watched John leave the house and get into his black SUV as they all watched him go.
"At least that bitch wasn't with them." Anna said as she rocked Judith.
Rick smiled slightly. "I don't think she was so bad... Just doing her job," he said softly as they all sat down in the sitting room.
Anna nodded and they all sat in front of the fire as they watched it snow outside with it becoming a blizzard.
"We're going to end up getting snowed in here," Anna laughed as she watched out the window, everything soon becoming white.
Rick smirked as he pulled her into him. "I could think of worse things."
"I was thinkin' of goin' a run to town," Daryl said. "Before the snow gets too bad. Some things I gotta get, parts for my crossbow and shit. Plus I can get y'all some diapers and things for the baby," he said as he gave Rick and Anna a small smile.
"That would be good, thank you." Rick said smiling at him as Bailey looked at Daryl.
"I'll come with you." She told him softly as she rocked Dean in her arms who cooed at them happily and curled into them.
"It's alright, darlin', I'll be fine," Daryl said softly as he kissed her cheek gently and ruffled Dean's hair. "Don't want anythin' to happen to ya or the baby, 'specially not with the weather out there."
She sighed and nodded at him as he got ready to leave and she packed him some food along with a hot thermos.
"Be careful." She said softly.
"I will be, don't worry," he promised as he hugged her. "Take care while I'm gone, yeah? You too, kids," he added with a smile.
They all nodded and watched him go out into the snow as she waved to him and watched him go as the wind blew threw.
Daryl drove slowly to the town trying not to lose control of his bike in the snow or on the icy roads. He parked up near a department store and took his crossbow off his back as he went inside, looking around all the stores, and trying to figure out what he needed.
He found some things he needed for his crossbow, pet food, food for all of them, diapers, clothes and toys and some fuel.
He stored it all into the bags and was driving back when he saw a deer in the middle of the road and swerved to avoid it but ended up crashing into a car.
"Fuck," Daryl groaned as he tried to sit up, but his leg was trapped under the bike. He winced in pain as he tried to shift it, but the weight, combined with everything added onto it, was too much for him to lift. He shivered as the snow fell on top of him, and tried to find himself a way out.
He managed to find a cane underneath a car and used it to push himself up as he leaned heavily on it and managed to lift his bike up, wincing in pain.
"Shit." He groaned as he pushed it back to the house and crumpled onto it as the snow fell on him as they reached the house but he collapsed.
Bailey sat in the sitting room and played with Dean and Aoife, before looking outside at the darkening sky, then looking worriedly at Rick and Anna. "He should have been back by now. Maybe I should go and try to find him."
"Bailey it's too dark and it's freezing out there." Rick said trying to soothe her.
"But what if he's trapped somewhere outside in this weather?" She protested.
Anna moved over beside her and rubbed her shoulder gently. "He'll be fine, sweetie. Daryl's a hunter, he's a survivor. The weather probably got too bad and he found somewhere to stay for the night," she said softly.
Bailey didn't say anything to that and picked up Dean and took Aoife's hand as they headed upstairs to bed as the others watched on sadly.
"I'm gonna go lookin' for him." Will said getting up.
"I'll come with ya," Merle nodded. "Don't wanna see my sister upset," he said softly, and the others nodded in understanding.
"Well, be careful, both of you," Rick said concerned.
They nodded and headed outside when they saw Daryl's bike over a body and looked each other as they ran over to who it was.
"Daryl!" Will gasped as he saw Daryl's half frozen face.
"Oh shit, Daryl," Merle panicked as they tried to pull his bike off him. "No, no, no," he muttered as he passed the bags of supplied to Will and took off his jacket, wrapping it around Daryl before he picked him up. "We gotta get him inside now!" he said quickly, before noticing Daryl's twisted leg and the cuts underneath the snow on his face. "Shit, move it! Come on!"
They hurried inside the house where Anna jumped on her feet along with Hershel as they hurried him upstairs where Bailey was with the children.
"BAILEY WE NEED HELP!" Merle yelled and Bailey hurried as she saw Daryl's pale staring at her from the frost.
"Daryl, no!" she gasped, as she ran to him, "What happened to you baby?" she asked, to which Daryl didn't answer. Merle laid him down in bed, and wrapped him up with blankets.
"Whoah, steady," Anna said quickly. "We need to warm him up slowly. Bailey, can you take his clothes off? Everything," she said softly. "Even his socks."
Bailey nodded and took off his shirt, then his wife beater and belt, his jeans, shoes and socks only leaving him in his boxers.
Daryl shivered then and groaned in pain as she soothed him and kissed his forehead lovingly as he looked at her with dazed eyes.
"Bailey?"
"I'm here baby, I'm here," she said softly, as she took off her own clothes and lay with him, trying to heat him up with skin to skin contact. Anna brought in some towels so they could dry him off, while Carol brought in a warm cup of tea.
Anna helped them under the covers, where Bailey removed the rest of Daryl's underwear and gently dried off his body.
"I need you to stay with him," Anna instructed softly. "Warm the center of the body. Focus on the chest, neck, head, and groin, stomach, and keep checking his temperature, OK?" she asked, as Daryl coughed and shivered again.
"I will don't worry." Bailey assured them as she saw Beth come in looking at her kindly with Patricia as they helped.
"We'll take care of Dean and Aoife for you." She assured Bailey as she got under the quilt and rubbed his chest firmly but gently as Daryl coughed again and groaned in pain.
"Thank you, Beth." She said touched.
She kissed Daryl's forehead softly as he raised a rough finger to her right cheek and coughed again.
"Bailey that you?" He asked breathing heavily.
"It's me, Daryl," she said softly, as she felt her heart ache for him. "It's me, I'm here, Daryl, I'm here," she said softly, as she rubbed over his skin and tried to heat him up. "What happened, baby? Can you tell me?"
"Crashed... bike..." Daryl choked out, his chest hurting. "Trapped in... snow."
"He's twisted his leg too," Hershel said softly. "Daryl, I'm going to have to fix this. And it's going to hurt," he warned him. "Give him something he can bite down on for the pain."
Bailey gave him a cloth and he bit down on it hard as Hershel started to reset his leg and he howled in pain through his teeth, his knuckles clenched.
"It's alright Daryl, it's alright." She comforted him as he sagged into her and breathed heavily as he coughed again and she rubbed his chest soothingly as he coughed.
"I'm sorry Bailey, yer seeing me like this." He wheezed through the pain.
"Why would you be sorry, baby?" she asked as she rubbed his back, trying to get the blood flowing back through his skin again. "You've seen me much worse," she joked softly, as Hershel pulled the blankets back over his legs, and Anna came back with a water bottle for them. "Let me look after you, Daryl," Bailey said softly as she held him to her. "You've done it enough times for me."
He gave her a weak smile as he leaned into her and she rubbed his chest again as he fell asleep and curled into her.
"I love ya." He said cradling her face.
"I love you too, Daryl." She said softly kissing him.
"Get some rest," Hershel said with a small smile. "We'll take good care of the kids, don't worry. We'll be back to check on him in the morning," he added.
Bailey nodded. "Thank you, Uncle Hershel," she said before holding Daryl against her chest, as she watched over him for the night.
During the night Bailey made sure Daryl was warm but not too hot as she placed a flannel on his burning forehead and rubbed his chest gently.
"I'm going to take care of you, Daryl." She promised and held him tightly as he curled into her and used her breasts as a pillow, his breath hardening the pink nipples.
She could feel his chest struggling to get his breath out, as she stroked his stomach softly. "I love you, baby," she whispered, running her hands through his cold hair. She sighed sadly, she should have gone with him, and should have been there to help him. She pulled the blankets around them tightly as she watched him sleep.
Daryl's chest rose and fell more easily and she stroked his fingers gently as he cuddled into her and sighed heavily as he held her tightly.
"Love ya." He breathed as he rubbed her stomach.
"Love you too," she said as she kissed his hair and rubbed his cheek gently as he lay against her. "How are you feeling? Can I make you more comfortable? You OK?"
"I'm alright, my leg is killing me and I just wanna have a bath." He said curling into her as he fell asleep again.
She stroked his face lovingly.
She wrapped her arms around him and held him tightly, as his breathing steadied.
In the morning, Bailey ran a bath for Daryl, the water no warmer than body temperature under Hershel's instruction. She made sure she had clean towels and clean, warm clothes for him to get into once he was out.
She helped him out of the bed and he leaned on her heavily for a moment before they reached the bathroom and she helped into the bath as he groaned in relief.
"Christ that feels good." He said leaning back as Bailey helped him wash.
Bailey smiled softly, as she ran the sponge over his legs. "How is your leg feeling today?" she asked him gently, as she cleaned away the blood and mud.
"A bit better, still hurts whenever I put all my weight on it." Daryl said smiling softly as she started to wash his chest.
Bailey nodded and smiled at him sadly. "I'm sorry I didn't come find you. I wanted to, but Rick and Anna thought you'd be OK... if you had been out there another couple of hours, I..." she trailed off, thinking of how Daryl would have no doubt frozen to death.
"Hey I'm alright now and yer aint gonna lose me." Daryl said cupping her face tenderly as she started to wash his hair.
"I know I just worry." She said softly.
Daryl held her free hand gently while the other worked the shampoo into his hair. "I know ya do, but ain't nothin' that can kill a Dixon but a Dixon. That includes you too," he said softly.
She smiled at him softly and kissed him gently before rinsing the shampoo out of his hair and helped him out of the bath and dried him as he leaned against her.
"Let's get you into bed." She said softly.
Daryl nodded as she helped him into some clean, dry sweatpants, and a clean vest, before slowly lowering him into bed, and sitting down, stroking his hair gently.
"You want something to eat?" she asked as she ran her fingers over his stubbly cheek.
"I'll have some chicken soup if that's alright?" He asked softly and she smiled down at him as she kissed him lovingly before pulling on some sweatpants and a t-shirt and she headed downstairs where she made Daryl some soup and coffee.
She placed it on a tray and headed back to where he was and smiled at him softly as she placed the tray on the bed.
"Thank ya." He said softly as he ate.
"You're welcome," she said softly, as she sat down beside him. "Is there anything else you need?" she asked.
"Just need ya beside me, where are the kids?" He asked softly.
"Beth and Patricia are looking after them," she said softly, as she pulled the blankets up around him checking he was warm enough. "Just to give you some time to rest."
"I'm glad they're alright then." He said holding her close as they saw Hershel and Anna come in with their medical things.
"Hey Daryl, how are you feeling?" They asked softly.
"A little better after the bath, but still like shit," Daryl sighed as he tried to move his sore leg around a little.
"Mind if we check you over?" Hershel asked softly.
Daryl shook his head. "Sure, go for it."
They checked him over and found that he wasn't burning up anymore but told him to stay in bed for a week.
They checked his left leg and it was bruised but nothing serious was damaged or bleeding as they all looked.
"You've just bruised it." Hershel said kindly.
Daryl nodded. "Thanks Doc," he said before slumping against the pillows. "Bed for a week? What the hell am I meant to do now? I should he up helpin', out huntin', or doin' somethin'."
Bailey couldn't help but laugh. "Doctors orders. I'll tie you up if I have to."
Daryl laughed at that and smiled at her as Hershel and Anna left to let him get some rest as she stroked all of his tattoos.
"How old were you when you got this one?" She asked pointing to his flying demon tattoo on his right arm; he had two on his back.
"When I was around twenty two," he said with a small smile as he looked down at them and back up at her. "See, the demon is flying like an angel, it's meant to be a cross between the two of them, has a little halo too," he said pointing to it. "Shows that there's some good in bad people, and some bad in good people," he said with a faint smile.
"That's beautiful." She said softly kissing the tattoo lovingly and she held him tightly as he traced her scars gently.
"Thought about yer every day, ya know." He said kissing the scars.
"I thought about you too." She said kissing him.
Bailey sighed sadly as she looked at him and stroked his cheek. "I wished every day that you were the one I had gotten married to. I wished it was you I was making dinner for each day, I wished it was you who would come in the door, and I wished it was you I'd go to bed with at night and wake up with in the morning," she said quietly. "But it was always... him."
Daryl fought back tears as he held her to him and his shoulders shook slightly with pain for the loss she had suffered at Dave's hands all because he hadn't told her how much he loved her.
"I'm sorry Bailey, so fuckin' sorry." He said holding her tightly.
"It's not your fault," she assured him as she stroked his back gently, and moved closer, careful not to hurt his sore leg. "It was my fault for marrying him in the first place," she added with a humourless laugh as she rubbed her eyes. "So what happened you? I spent so much time focusing on myself I never thought what could have happened to you in those five years. What happened to the girlfriend you had?"
"She left me after her parents told her that they didn't think I was good enough for her, Emily chose them over me and we broke up." He said softly.
"I'm so sorry Daryl." Bailey said stroking his face.
"Don't be, wasn't her I wanted anyway," he said softly as he kissed her lips gently. "Took me long enough, but I finally got the one I wanted."
She smiled at him softly and held him tightly as they both fell asleep.
Anna smiled as she looked through the bags Daryl had brought back. Only Daryl Dixon could crash and injure himself, almost freeze to death, and still manage to get the supplies back to them. She held up a few baby outfits to show Rick. "They're so cute, aren't they?" she asked smiling.
"They are, look at this one." Rick said holding up a dress for a little girl that said 'I love Daddy', in pink.
"He or she is going to be spoiled." Anna said smiling as they continued to look with Carl and Judith when he found another cowboy hat.
"Hey look, he or she can match their big brother," Rick said as he pointed to the hat.
Anna laughed. "Maybe when they're a little older, otherwise that thing is going to smother them."
They all laughed at that and looked through the bags as Judith picked up a pair of baby converse with black skulls.
"He or she can be a Goth." Carl said laughing.
Anna laughed. "He or she is going to have so many clothes we won't know what to dress them in," she said as she folded up the clothes neatly and put them back into the bags again.
Rick looked into one of the other bags. "Yeah, and there's plenty of diapers, toys, hell, everything in here."
"Daryl got us all a lot of pet food to last two years." Sam said excited as they pulled out the dog food and found some animal toys.
"What's wrong with the cats, they're not eating?" Katy said worried.
"Let me check it out," Hershel said softly, as he got up and walked over to the cats, with Emma following behind him, observing everything he was doing.
Pebbles barely moved when Hershel checked them over and Monty curled up beside his sister, Tinkerbelle was panting heavily.
"They've been poisoned." He said worried.
Dylan looked at Merle with sad eyes, "I guess you don't have to worry about anymore pets." He said upset.
"Hey, now, I didn't want for that to happen," Merle told him firmly as he got up and looked at Hershel. "Is there anythin' we can do to help them?" he asked quickly.
"We need some aloe Vera from outside that will help them throw up the poison." Hershel said quickly as Merle hurried outside and got some leaves before he ran back in.
He handed them over to Hershel who gently fed them to the affected animals, before they took them outside so they could vomit, and get rid of the poison in their systems.
"How could they be poisoned?" Anna asked worriedly. "Who would poison them?"
"I have a person in mind." Maggie said angry as she stroked Smudge's back and he purred weakly as they fussed over him and the other cats.
"T-Dog." Merle said angry.
"Surely he doesn't think he has a chance against all of us?" Rick asked with a frown. "If he came near them, they would all kill him. I mean, he's on his own, and there are all of us. We'd kill him in seconds."
"Maybe he's with another group?" Glenn suggested and they all nodded as they heard knocking on the door and Beth answered it to see Catherine and John.
"Can I help you?" She asked wearily.
"We would like to speak to Emma," Catherine answered quickly. "We believe she was a victim of Chris and Nate and their group?"
"She was please come in." Beth said showing them into the living room where they found Emma looking after the kitten with Maggie, Katy and Emma beside them.
"We would like to talk to Emma?" John said softly.
Maggie looked at them warily. "Fine, but I would like to stay with her," she said as Emma took her hand.
John nodded in understanding. "That's not a problem," he said as he sat down, as the others left the room.
"Emma did Nate and Chris hurt you?" Catherine asked gently and Emma looked frightened before nodding as Maggie rubbed her back.
"Yes, they dressed me up and called me their little princess." She said quietly.
"They dressed you up?" John asked with disgust in his voice as he jotted down notes into his notepad.
Emma nodded. "They had all sorts of costumes they put me in, and did my hair and make-up. They said they wanted me to look pretty."
"They drugged me and put me on a bed, I can't remember what happened after that but Uncle Rick and Daryl found me and got me out of there but in between my legs it hurt." She said ashamed and Maggie hugged her.
"They sexually abused you?" Catherine asked gently.
Emma nodded. "I think so. I can't remember, I was asleep," she said quietly, sort of thankful they had given her the drug and she didn't have to be awake when it happened.
Catherine gave her a sad smile. "Thank you, Emma."
"We would like to talk to Bailey Greene Dixon if that's alright?" John asked and they all nodded at him.
"She's upstairs looking after Daryl, he got sick." Anna said as she led them upstairs.
They went into the room where Bailey and Daryl were both asleep. Daryl was snuggled into her, while Bailey had the blankets pulled up tightly around them.
"Miss Greene?" Catherine asked with a loud voice, as Bailey stirred slightly. Daryl didn't seem to move much. "We'd like to talk to you."
"About what?" She asked as she got up and pulled on a dressing gown over herself as she looked at them curiously.
"What's this about?" She asked them as Daryl woke up and looked at the two FBI agents with weary eyes.
"We'd like to talk about Nate and Chris."
Bailey swallowed at the mention of their names and nodded. "I see. Why don't we go down to the study then?" she asked quietly, as she leaned down to kiss Daryl gently. "I'll be back soon baby, OK?"
Daryl nodded and held her tightly as he watched her go to the study with the two agents and waited a moment before he heaved himself out of bed and leaned on the cane as Carol came in along with Patricia, Aoife holding Dean.
"Daryl, you shouldn't be out of bed," Carol warned as Aoife and Dean hurried over to him and hugged his legs tightly.
"Sorry daddy," Aoife said quickly as he winced in pain.
"It's alright, kiddo," he assured her, before looking back at Carol. "Please, I just wanna go downstairs for a bit, be close by, and make sure she's OK. Ya gonna help me or not?"
Carol sighed but nodded at him as she helped him downstairs along with Patricia as they came into the study where Catherine was questioning Bailey.
"Bailey did they rape you?" She asked calmly.
"No, but they touched me, touched my breasts and other things." She said quietly.
