Somebody To Die For
Chapter 29
They went inside where everyone looked up as Quinn led them in. One of the men stood up and looked at Aoife. "So you found them then?" he asked, before seeing the rest of the group too. "You got them all?"
"They've consented to the blood tests," Quinn said softly. "No need to hold them prisoner or anything, sir," he said with a small reassuring smile to the group.
The man nodded at them all as he led them into a small lab where they saw two women looking at microscopes.
"They're here to do the blood tests, Lily." Quinn told her.
Lily nodded as she looked at all of them.
"Who would like to go first?"
"I'll go," Daryl volunteered as he sat down. "Wanna make sure ya ain't gonna poison my family first or something."
Lily chuckled quietly as she pulled out a syringe and looked at Daryl. "You might get a sticker if you're a brave boy," she smirked.
He didn't even rise to her taunt as she inserted the syringe and took it out as she placed the syringe into a test tube then Bailey went next with Dean in her arms and Aoife beside her.
"How far along are you?" She asked her as she placed the syringe in.
"Six months along." Bailey said softly.
"How about we check you over once we finish taking everyone's blood?" she asked with a small smile, as Bailey held Aoife and Dean who were brave as Lily took their blood.
"That would be good, thank you," she replied, as Lily took blood from Rick, Anna, Carl, Judith, James and everyone else.
Soon Lily had finished taking blood from them all and was showing Daryl and Bailey into a room where there was a chair and another woman.
"Alright Bailey sit down and let's take a look at your baby." Lily said warmly as she sat on the chair and Lily put some gel on her bump.
Daryl smiled as he sat down next to her and held her hand as an image slowly appeared on the screen. Bailey smiled as she looked at Lily. "Is that our baby?"
Lily nodded. "Sure is," she said as she adjusted something, and they heard a small beating sound. "There's the heart."
Bailey clasped a hand to her mouth as she watched their baby on the screen, the baby was sucking its thumb and she let out a sob of joy.
"Oh I'm so happy." She said holding Daryl's hand tightly.
"Would you like to know the sex?" Lily asked kindly.
Bailey looked at Daryl who nodded, before looking back to Lily. "Yes, we would... can you do that?"
"Sure thing," she smiled as she looked closer to the screen, and moved the ultrasound machine around a little on Bailey. "You're having a baby boy."
Bailey smiled happily at that and Daryl grinned at her as they looked at their son on the screen as he moved about happily.
"We're having another baby boy." He said happily as he kissed her lovingly.
"Oh wow!" Carol said with a smile as she hugged them both. "Congratulations. A new little brother for Dean and Aoife."
Beth and Maggie both smiled as they looked at them. "We have something to tell you guys... we're both pregnant."
"Oh my god, I'm so happy for you two!" Bailey said running over to hug them both as Daryl went to congratulate Glenn and Merle.
"I'm happy for ya two." He said happily.
"Thank you." Glenn said grinning as Katy and Emma stood by smiling.
"You're all free to go now," Quinn said softly, as he walked them to the door. "We have what we need, we won't bother you again. But now you know where to find us if you need us."
"Thank you," Rick nodded at him. "We appreciate that."
Quinn nodded and watched them go as they drove back to the estate and waved them good bye as they drove further away.
Everything had been peaceful in the house since the incident with the CDC. They had kept to their word and hadn't bothered them again, and Karen and the three men they had been keeping in the basement had been sentenced to at least ten years imprisonment. T-Dog hadn't shown up again, and he was believed to be still in the house in King's County, but never caused any more trouble.
Bailey was now around nine months pregnant and was glowing through out her pregnancy and was currently tucking the kids in bed.
"Good night angels, mommy loves you both." She said kissing them.
"We love you too, mommy," they replied in unison, as Bailey smiled and turned out their light before going into her own room and changing into her nightgown, before climbing into bed.
She sighed as she rubbed her large bump; she was hot, horny and honestly just wanted Daryl to be with her.
She sighed and went to look for her special toy as she found her vibrator and flicked the switch on as she imagined Daryl doing it.
She sighed as she leaned back against the pillows. "Much better," she said as she moaned softly, thinking of Daryl's body, his strong arms, his toned stomach and chest, his muscly legs...
She smiled in pleasure as she day dreamed about Daryl just simply fucking her senseless as she grinded against her vibrator.
Daryl had just come back from watch and was heading up to his and Bailey's room when he heard her moaning softly and saying his name softly.
"What the fuck?" He asked walking in.
Bailey's eyes snapped open as she looked at him and went red. "Daryl... I uh... I was just..."
"Just what?" Daryl asked as he took off his shirt and jeans, eyeing her carefully.
"Just needed to let some stress out," she muttered, as she set the vibrator to the side and rolled over in bed feeling embarrassed. Daryl frowned as he walked towards her.
"Were ya thinkin' of me?" he asked. He already knew the answer; he had heard her say his name. He took off his boxers and didn't bother putting a pair of sweatpants on, he was going to show her that he could be much more fun than a piece of plastic. Bailey nodded, as Daryl got in beside her and ran a finger up her stomach. "What were ya thinkin' of me doin' to ya?"
Bailey felt her cheeks turn even redder and mumbled something, her voice barely audible. "Fucking me," she whispered quietly.
Daryl smirked to himself. "How was I fuckin' ya?" he asked, to which she didn't answer. "Hmm? Hard? Fast?" Bailey shifted uncomfortably and nodded. "Would ya like me to do that, Bailey?" he whispered his breath hot against her neck. She let out a small moan at the thought, as Daryl wrapped his arms around her. "Get on all fours," he instructed, knowing that position would mean her bump wasn't in the way. Bailey nodded and turned around on the bed, pushing herself up onto her knees and hands, as Daryl got behind her.
His cock was already hard after what he had just seen and he imagined she was already wet, but slid a finger into her to test anyway. She moaned and pushed herself back against him as Daryl smiled. "Yer ready, ain't ya?" he asked, as he positioned himself, pulling his finger out, before he grabbed onto her hips, which had grown during the pregnancy and thrust into her quickly, as she bucked back into him. "Oh yeah, feels good Bailey," he groaned, as he pulled out before sliding back in a few times, slowly to begin with.
Bailey moaned as Daryl had started to pick up a faster pace, beginning to pound himself into her. Now she felt much better, this was exactly what she had wanted. Maybe Daryl just had to be encouraged. She reached out and grabbed the top of the bed as his hips slammed into her, his hard length rubbing against all the right spots to make her cry out as her breathing began to quicken.
Bailey moaned when she felt her stomach tense up, she had gotten herself pretty worked up with the vibrator, and it didn't take long before Daryl was about to push her over the edge. He wrapped his arms around her and rubbed her clit under his rough fingers, making her explode in seconds, as she came around him. "Oh god, Daryl, oh fuck," she panted, her mouth going dry as her walls clamped down around him, and her body shook with a powerful orgasm, as Daryl reached up to play with her breasts.
Daryl continued to thrust into her, his hot breath coming out against her back, as he felt his stomach tighten, before he let out a growl and felt himself begin to cum. "Oh christ, Bailey," he gasped as he felt a flood of pleasure while he spilled himself into her, continuing to thrust into her in a harsh rhythm, as they both reached overwhelming heights of pleasure.
"Ya alright?" He asked softly as his breathing steadied evenly and held her tightly as he rubbed her large bump and felt the baby kick at him.
"I'm feeling wonderful." She said smiling at him.
Daryl nodded. "Good. An' the next time ya wanna play with that thing, ya come find me first. Can't have ya doin' it on yer own."
"Yes husband." She said curling into him as he pulled her into him.
"Sleep," he said softly as he held her against his chest and they both drifted off.
The next morning passed easily for everyone with Anna holding James in her arms as she watched Judith try to catch butterflies with Carl, Sophia and Aoife.
She and Rick were trying for another baby but she was worried that she might not be able to due to the stab wounds and smiled at her son lovingly.
She stroked his hair softly, he looked a lot like Rick, and she smiled as he cooed at her. "Come on; let's go see what your brother and sister are doing."
James giggled at her as they went to see that Carl was kissing Sophia and she almost laughed at how much he looked like Rick at that moment when she saw Dean playing with Judith and Aoife.
"OI!" She heard Axel yell.
She smirked as she saw Sophia's cheeks had turned red as she looked up at her father. Axel walked over to them and ruffled her hair before looking at Carl. "You better take good care of my daughter," he said with a small grin.
Anna smiled at the two of them. Carol and Axel had married in a small ceremony around a month ago, and she hadn't seen the woman happier since she first met her.
"Yes Axel, I promise I will." Carl said seriously and Axel nodded satisfied as he went back inside to help Carol cook lunch.
"You two are lucky that your father didn't see, Carl William Grimes." Anna told him with a warm smile and he grinned at her.
"Dad likes Sophia too, so I'm sure he'll be OK," Carl said with a smile as he took Sophia's hand.
Anna nodded. "Yeah, he does," she said softly.
"What are you two up to?" Rick asked as he walked over with a warm smile as he sat down next to Anna and smiled at James lovingly.
"I was kissing Carl." Sophia said shyly.
Rick paused for a minute as he looked at them both, before his eyes settled on Carl. "You got a good girl there, you look after her," he said firmly.
Carl nodded. "I will dad," he said happily, as the two of them walked off, holding hands.
Rick laughed as he pulled his wife into him and held her tightly. "Young love."
"We were like that once, remember." Anna said smiling as she leaned into him and they watched the flowers bloom as they saw the sun shine brightly.
"How are you feeling?" She asked softly.
"I'm alright, y'know, getting there," he said softly, as he rubbed his chest. "I still get a little tired if I do too much, but the men are making sure I take it easy."
"Good I'm glad." She said kissing where his heart was and she curled into him as they both thought back to the fateful day.
Rick had been in the kitchen, when he had felt a sudden pain in his left side and clutched his chest.
"Rick? You OK?" Anna asked worriedly as she set James down and went over to him.
"I'm alright Anna, just got a pain in my chest." He gasped as he clutched at his side and collapsed onto the floor as Anna ran over to him.
"HERSHEL, CAROL HELP!" She cried as she cupped Rick's face.
Hershel ran over to where Rick was on the floor and crouched down beside him. "Oh god, he's having a heart attack!" he said alarmed. "Carol, grab my medical bag!"
Carol ran to get his bag as Anna continued to speak to Rick and rubbed his face assuredly as he started to breathe in and out easily.
"What happened?"
"You had a heart attack, Rick," she said worriedly as she stroked his face. "Is there something you're worried about? Did something happen?"
"I just got a sudden pain in my chest and I keeled over." He said stunned at the fact that he had a heart attack as Judith and Carl ran in.
"What happened?"
"Your dad had a heart attack," Anna explained and Carl and Judith looked at him worriedly, before they cuddled into him. "You need to take it easy from now on, Rick," Anna warned him. "Let everyone else help you out. Promise?"
Rick nodded. "I promise, Anna."
"Thank you, I love you." She said holding him tightly.
"I love you too." He said holding her close."
"Luckily you were alright," she said softly, as she cuddled into him as they sat out in the afternoon son. "I can't lose you."
"I can't lose you either, I love you." He said holding her close as they watched their children when they saw Beth running over to them.
"Anna I need your help, Bailey's gone into labour and she's having trouble." She said clutching her stomach.
Anna nodded as she stood up. "Let me grab my bag and I'll be there," she said softly, as she squeezed Rick's hand before going inside.
She ran inside and grabbed her bag which was by the front door as she ran upstairs following eth into Daryl and Bailey's bedroom where Bailey was breathing heavily and Daryl was holding her hand tightly.
"I have to push." She gasped wincing.
Anna nodded, as Bailey sat up slightly and grabbed a handful of bed-sheets as she let out a pained cry and began to push.
Anna could tell that Bailey was doing very well as she could see the head and helped guide out the shoulders with Beth and Carol's help.
Soon they heard a loud cry and she burst into tears as she and Daryl saw their beautiful son cooing at them.
"Rayland William Dixon." Daryl said smiling.
Anna smiled and really wished that she was having another baby, as she watched them bond with their new son, as they packed up their stuff, and gave the family time to rest.
A few weeks past by and Anna rushed into the toilet which had to be the fifth time this week as she vomited in the toilet and looked around for a pregnancy test.
She found one and took a deep breath.
She took the test and waited a moment, before she seen the plus sign appear and let out a sob of joy. She got up from the bathroom and ran to the kitchen.
"RICK!" she yelled, as she ran to him happily. "RICK! WE'RE HAVING ANOTHER BABY!"
Rick looked up from where he had been playing with James and a grin swam across his face as it sank in that he was having a baby with Anna again.
"Really?" He asked hugging her tightly.
"Really, Rick." She sobbed happily.
"I'm so happy," he said as he held onto her tight and looked down at her stomach. "Hey there little one!"
"Congratulations, guys," Carol said smiling happily at the two of them. "I'm happy for you both."
"Thank you Carol, I thought I couldn't have anymore after what happened in Woodbury." Anna said softly and Rick hugged her tightly.
"I'm so happy for you two." Bailey said smiling as she held Rayland in her arms with Dean at her side happily along with Aoife.
"We're going to be a big brother and sister again?" Carl asked happily as he stood with Judith.
Anna nodded. "You sure are kiddo," she said happily, as she curled up into Rick. "Our little miracle."
Rick smiled at that as he stroked her hair gently, after James had been born they had tried for another baby but Anna thought she couldn't have anymore.
"I love you." He said hugging her tightly.
"I love you too, Rick," she said happily as she cuddled into him.
Rick smiled down at her. "Our family is perfect."
"Sure is," Anna grinned as she rubbed her stomach. "Sure is."
Daryl smiled at them as he picked up Rayland who cooed at him as Aoife and Dean played in the living room with the other children.
"He looks like you." Bailey said as she smiled at Rayland.
Daryl smiled at them as he rocked his son.
Merle was sitting with his hands on Beth's bump, while Glenn had his arms wrapped around Maggie. "I can't wait to meet he or she," Beth smiled.
"Neither can I sweetheart." Merle said smiling as he felt the baby kick at his touch and grinned happily as they all relaxed.
They all heard knocking on the door then.
Rick sighed as he stood up and went to the door. "Who the hell could that be now?" he asked tiredly, as he opened the door to see Quinn with two soldiers behind him. "Hi... can we help you?"
Quinn nodded as he let himself in. "We're here to pick up some of the supplies. Our boss has asked us to pick up half the supplies from each group we know of."
"But we have kids and babies." Merle said as he pulled Beth into him tightly as everyone looked at Quinn wearily.
"I'm sorry but we have to do this otherwise we'll be forced to arrest you." Quinn said and everyone sighed as Bailey went with Carol to get the supplies.
They packed the things into boxes, which only left them with a little pet food, and some formula and diapers, as well as the basic foods. Bailey and Carol both picked up the stuff before they went back to Quinn.
"We barely have anything left," Bailey snapped as she shoved the box into his arms. "I hope y'all are happy with yourselves."
"Hey now listen here bitch, no one told you to go off and get pregnant." One of the men snapped at her and she fell silent as she looked away.
"Thank you, we'll go now." Quinn said quietly as he and the others made their own way out of the house and headed back to the base as everyone watched.
Everyone sat in silence as they looked at their almost empty cupboards. Beth and Maggie looked down at their bumps and sighed, as Mere growled at the cars disappearing in the distance. "Bastards."
"Fuckin had no right calling my woman that." Daryl snarled as he saw Bailey get up and take Rayland and Dean upstairs for their naps.
"Is she alright?" Carol asked softly.
Daryl nodded as he sat down with Aoife on his lap.
"What are we supposed to do about supplies?" Morgan asked Rick looking worried. "I mean, the cupboards are almost bare now. We have some produce in the garden, but it won't be ready for a bit yet."
"Why do they even need half of everyone's supplies?" Tomas frowned. "There were less of them than there is of us."
"That's true, there was like ten of them." Rick said frowning as they all thought what to do when they saw Oscar come in looking worried.
"Bailey just left in a car." He said worried as Daryl got up looking worried.
"Oh no." Beth said looking worriedly at Daryl.
"What is it?" He asked worried.
Maggie looked at her father and who nodded knowingly, as she went to look at a calendar. She sighed sadly. "Its three years today," she said quietly.
"Since what?" Daryl asked confused and concerned.
"Since Celia was born. And died."
"Shit, I gotta go make sure she's ok." He said and they all nodded at him as he ran outside to get in the truck and drove off.
"You don't think Bailey would hurt herself do you?" Carol asked worried.
Maggie shook her head. "No. No I don't think so," she said quietly. "I mean, she has Daryl and the kids, so... no. She probably just wants space."
They all nodded as they hoped that Daryl would find Bailey safe and well.
Bailey parked up the car where Hershel's farm used to be, and looked around. Most of it was either knocked down or burnt out. She got out and took a deep breath as she walked towards the graveyard, and saw Celia's grave where she had left it. There were a few walkers stumbling around, and Bailey was furious they were shuffling around her daughter's grave. She pulled out her knife and growled as she killed them all, their blood spraying onto her as she threw them to the side. She was breathing heavily, as she put her knife away and sat down in front of the cross, reaching out to stroke it gently. "I'm sorry baby, I'm sorry," she choked out. "Mommy's here now."
"I'm sorry Celia, I'm so sorry I didn't leave him sooner." She sobbed and collapsed over daughter's grave, her shoulders shaking with grief, she loved her family dearly but she wished that she had a little girl, she couldn't replace Celia but she would have loved another girl.
She cried harder as the soldiers words echoed in her mind and clutched at her chest in agony as she sobbed.
"I'M SORRY, I'M SO SORRY!"
Bailey cried as she curled into a ball on the grass and touched her daughter's grave. She seen a walker stumble towards her, but she couldn't bring herself to move. "Mommy's not going to leave you, Celia," she sobbed.
She sobbed harder and buried her face into her daughter's grave and touched the necklace Daryl had given her.
"I'm so sorry Daryl, please forgive me." She sobbed.
She watched as the walker got closer to her and closed her eyes as she held onto the cross tightly. "Mommy's coming, Celia."
Daryl was driving as fast as he could and reached the graveyard; he sprinted out of the car and ran into the graveyard as he saw a walker coming towards Bailey who was sobbing agonisingly over Celia's grave.
"Mommy's coming home, Celia."
Daryl raised his crossbow and fired at the walker without hesitation, an arrow going straight through its head before it fell to the ground.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Bailey snapped as she stood up. Daryl pulled her into him, but she hit at his chest trying to get free. "I WAS GONNA SEE MY DAUGHTER! I JUST WANNA SEE MY DAUGHTER!"
"SO YA WERE GONNA LEAVE ME, AOIFE, DEAN AND RAYLAND? WAS THAT IT?" He shouted at her as he held her to him tightly.
"No I just can't do this anymore Daryl, I can't it hurts too much and I'll never have that baby girl again and I just want it so badly!" She wailed and he pulled her into him as she sobbed heartbrokenly into him.
Daryl lifted her up along with his crossbow and walked back to the car, setting her down in the back, before he got in the front and drove home silently, while Bailey cried in the back. He wasn't sure if that had just happened, if he had witnessed her try to kill herself and leave their family behind. He was fucking upset, pissed off, and there were parts of him that weren't even sure how he felt. He huffed quietly in the front of the car as he eventually pulled up at the house.
He got out and heard Bailey stop crying as he got her out and carried her up to their room and placed her on the bed when she spoke tearfully.
"I'm sorry, I really I am." She sobbed and Daryl felt his heart break.
He looked down at her and felt tears burn his eyes. "What ya were gonna do was so selfish, ya know that?" he asked as he let out a puff of breath. "Ya got a family here who care about ya too," he said, before he left the room and went downstairs.
"She OK?" Carol asked with a small smile.
"She's fine," Daryl snapped at her, as he sat with his kids.
Will looked at him as he played with his three children and sighed slightly before swallowing.
"Can I talk to you quickly?" He asked and Daryl nodded as they headed into the hallway to talk away from the others.
"I know what's wrong with Bailey." He said softly.
Daryl looked at him and frowned. "What is it?" he muttered.
"She's suffering from grief, your mother did too after Essie died. It's like an intense state of mourning. She may have trouble accepting Celia's death, even long after it's occurred or her thoughts will be with Celia rather than any relationships she has now. Your mother never got over it... before she died."
Daryl paled at that as he swallowed at the thought of Bailey dying like that and looked worriedly at Will.
"What can I do?" He asked desperate.
Will sighed sadly. "I don't know, son. In the old world, I would have suggested a counsellor or a therapist, but we ain't got that luxury anymore. There ain't much we can do; she's just going to grieve for her daughter."
"I was hard on her at the graveyard." Daryl said feeling pained at how harsh he'd been on Bailey who cried heartbrokenly for her daughter.
"What did you say to her?" Will asked worried.
"I shouted at her for letting the walker come near her, and when we got back I called her selfish and left her..." he said as he lowered his head. "But ya gotta understand, she was thinkin' of fuckin' killing herself. She was gonna leave me and the kids behind!"
"She's not well Daryl, she's depressed and what that soldier said to her didn't help either." Will said sighing as they crashing upstairs and the sound of glass breaking.
"What was that?" Anna asked worried.
"Let me go," Hershel said quickly as he stood up and looked at Daryl. "No offence son, but it might be best if you give her a little space for now. I'll take care of this."
Daryl nodded sadly and let him go see Bailey as he picked up a photo of her smiling at the camera happily long before the dead rose.
"I'm sorry." He whispered.
Hershel rushed to Daryl and Bailey's room where he opened the door and hurried in, seeing broken glass on the floor. He looked around quickly. "Bailey?!"
"I'm alright Hershel." Bailey said as she came in with a broom, her hands were shaking badly and she looked frail as she started to sweep up the glass.
"Dave will be angry when he gets home, that was his favourite vase." She said trembling slightly as she swept it up.
Hershel's eyes widened as he looked at her worriedly. "Bailey, sweetheart?" he asked softly. "Do you know where you are? Do you know what's happened?"
"I need to clean," she said quickly. "Need to clean."
Hershel watched her sweep up the dirt as he hurried downstairs to where the others were looking at him worriedly.
"Is Bailey alright?" Daryl asked worried.
Hershel shook his head as he looked at Anna for advice. "I really don't know, I was only trained to be a vet," he said quickly. "She's up there, cleaning up for Dave coming home," he added quietly.
"She's suffering from grieving blues." She said as she grabbed a book and started to read from it as the others watched with concern.
"What's grieving blues, what's wrong with mama?" Aoife asked her daddy.
"What do we do?" Maggie asked panicked. "She'll be terrified if she thinks Dave is alive."
"Daryl did anything trigger Bailey into this?" Anna asked him worriedly.
"The soldier called her a stupid bitch for getting pregnant." He said worried and Maggie paled at that as she looked at Hershel, Patricia and Beth.
"Dave said that to her when he shoved her down the stairs." She said horrified.
"Alright, that's it," Daryl said as he handed Aoife to Merle. "I'm gonna go show her that Dave ain't here, but I am."
They all watched him go upstairs silently when Carol spoke.
"What happened after Bailey lost Celia?"
"She broke down," Maggie said softly. "She wouldn't eat, wouldn't sleep, she just cried for days," she added sadly.
"Bailey had to be put on suicide watch, she couldn't handle it anymore and begged them to let her go and just die." Hershel said sadly.
"Poor girl." Big Tiny said pained.
Daryl hesitantly pushed the door open and stared at Bailey who was sweeping up and kept looking at the clock. "Bailey?" he asked quietly as he walked into the room.
Bailey looked up at seeing him come in and looked shocked but happy to see him as she stopped sweeping and brushed down her dress.
"Daryl, what are you doing here?" She asked pleased to see him.
Daryl felt a pain in his chest as he realized she didn't know anything that had happened lately. He walked over to her and took her hand, but she quickly pulled away. "Dave will be home soon, he'll be angry if he sees that," she mumbled quietly. "Oh no, where's my wedding ring?" she asked, looking at her hand.
Daryl sat her down on the bed. "Bailey, don't ya remember?" he asked gently. "Dave's gone. Dave's dead."
Bailey stared at him in shock as she looked at him and trembled slightly as she took in that Dave was dead, that he wouldn't hurt her anymore.
"How did he die?" She asked shaking slightly as tears came into her eyes; they weren't sad tears but tears of joy.
"I killed him."
Bailey looked at him and frowned. "Why did you do that?" she asked. "I haven't seen you for years... since the wedding," she said confused.
"Bailey, we met at the farm after the dead rose, remember?" He asked and she started to cry as memories resurfaced in her mind, of her losing Celia and everything.
"I lost all my family, my baby." She sobbed.
"You hate me."
Daryl shook his head as he pulled her into him, as he stroked her back gently. "No, I don't hate ya. I love ya, Bailey."
She pulled away and looked at him confused. "You do?"
"Really I do, I was just angry that ya wanted to die." He said upset and she started to cry again heavily.
"I tried Daryl; really I did try to be a good mother." She sobbed.
"I know you did, baby, I know," he said as he pulled her into him and rocked her gently. "Ya are. Our three beautiful children love ya, and yer a great mother to them," he assured her. "I know ya miss yer baby, but yer other kids love you too."
"I have children?" She asked delighted and he smiled down at her as he rocked her gently and stroked her hair gently.
"Really." He said holding her close.
"What did we call them?" She asked softly.
"Aoife is our girl, she's the oldest," Daryl said softly. "An' then we got Dean, and we got baby Rayland," he said as he stroked her hair. "We've got three perfect kids."
"They sound beautiful." She said falling asleep against him and he looked down at her before holding her close as Hershel and Anna came in.
"How is she?" Anna asked worriedly as she looked at her.
Daryl shook his head. "She ain't got a clue about anythin' that's happened. She didn't know we were together, that Dave was dead, or that we had kids, she doesn't even seem like she took it in," he said sadly.
"Why don't you take her away for a bit, get a change of scenery?" Hershel suggested and Daryl nodded in agreement.
"I'll take her to the lake house." He said stroking her hair.
Hershel smiled. "That's a good idea son," he said softly. "I'll go and get the kids packed up."
Anna nodded. "I'll pack Bailey's stuff," she said with a smile.
Daryl nodded and looked down at Bailey who had fallen asleep against him and he stroked her hair gently as Dean came in holding Rayland with Aoife beside him.
"Mama?"
Daryl sighed. "She just misses her little girl. We'll tell you about her when yer older," he said softly, before he picked up their bags and Bailey, and drove down to the lake house.
The kids got out and Aoife took Rayland and Dean inside, as Daryl lifted Bailey out of the car when she stirred and looked around before looking at Daryl. "This is a nice house. Is it your house?" she asked impressed.
"It's our house, Bailey." Daryl said as they walked into the living room and he put her down as she looked around the beautiful house in wonder.
"I feel like I'm in a fairytale." She said amazed as she walked around and then saw Aoife, Dean and Rayland staring at her with sad eyes.
"My babies?" She asked looking at Daryl with tear filled eyes.
"Our babies, our children." He told her gently.
"Oh god, when did this happen, Daryl?" she asked amazed. "All this, the kids, the house?"
"It happened after the world ended, we found the estate and tried for a family, and then ya got pregnant with Dean." He told her as she hugged him and the kids tightly.
"I'm so sorry for what I did."
"Don't be, sweetheart," he said softly, as he hugged them. "We're just glad you're OK, ain't we kids?"
They all nodded as they held onto her. "We love you, mommy."
Bailey stared at them in shock for a second. "I... I love you too."
Daryl smiled down at her lovingly as he held her tightly and buried his face into her neck as their children watched with smiles on their faces when Rayland started to fuss.
"Hungry little man aren't you?" Bailey asked picking him up as she sat down on a sofa with him on her lap and started to feed him.
"Daddy, mama there's a whole lot of supplies here!" Dean yelled.
Daryl smiled at him. "Good work son," he said softly, as he went to look through the things that Dean had found.
Daryl laughed when he reached the cupboards. "Yer right son, this place is a goldmine."
"We can take it back with us, back to the estate." Bailey said smiling when Rayland looked at her with sad piercing blue eyes.
"Do you wish I was a girl, mama?"
Bailey looked down at him and smiled. "No, sweetheart, I don't," she said softly.
"You're a perfect little boy, and I love you. All of you. Mommy just got a little sad, that's all," she said as Daryl started a fire in the fireplace.
"Do we have a big sister?" Aoife asked curious.
Bailey gave her a sad smile. "You do, she's watching over you from heaven right now."
"Oh mama I'm so sorry." Aoife flung herself at her and hugged her tightly as did Dean while Rayland snuggled into her tightly.
"Daddy are you angry at mama?" Dean asked sadly
Daryl sat down beside them and pulled her and the kids into him. "No, son, I couldn't stay angry at yer mama. I love her too damn much," he said softly.
"Good, I'm glad." Dean said cuddling into them and Bailey stroked his hair gently as she looked at Daryl with loving eyes.
"I love you."
