Somebody To Die For

Chapter 36

"It's where Lori's family are buried," Rick explained, without going into the place. "All her dead relatives, her mother and father didn't want them in an ordinary cemetery."

"Oh I see." Carl said looking around as Judith looked at Rick with teary eyes.

"Why don't you hate me, I'm the reason mommy got raped?"

"No, you're not, sweetheart," Rick assured her as he ruffled her hair gently. "We love you, you're our little girl," he said as he took her hand. "It was no ones fault apart from those bad men, alright?"

Judith nodded and they headed back to the car as they got in and drove back to the house where the others helped them unload the supplies.

"We can now have jam and honey." Beth said pleased as they all stored the shelves and Damien was about to help when he and the other kids watched in horror as Bailey turned on the TV to put on a kids DVD for the younger kids and instead was greeted with Leatherface carving someone's face off.

"Guys, hide!" Damien said quickly, as Bailey took The Texas Chainsaw Massacre out of the DVD player and walked to Rick.

"I think we need to talk."

Rick looked worried as he saw what Bailey was holding and went pale when he saw she was holding a DVD.

"The kids have been watching horror movies." She said worried as the kids in question ran upstairs to hide.

Rick frowned and took the DVD before he went upstairs. "CARL! JUDITH! JAMES! GET IN HERE, NOW!" he said as he went into his and Anna's room.

They weren't in there and as he hurried to check the play room, he saw Daryl and Merle running upstairs with Glenn and Maggie.

"DEAN RICK MERLE DIXON, RAYLAND WILLIAM HERSHEL DIXON AND AOIFE MARIE DIXON, YA GET YER ASSES DOWNSTAIRS NOW!"

Rick eventually found Carl, Judith and James hiding in the room that Judith shared with Aoife. He stormed in and closed the door. "You three have got some explaining to do..." he said as he held up the DVD. "What was the ONE thing I asked you not to do?"

"Watch the film," Carl said quietly.

"AND WHAT DID YOU DO?" Rick asked angrily.

"We watched the film when you told us not too." Carl said ashamed and Rick looked at Judith carefully.

"Was this the film that you gave nightmares?" He asked gently and Judith nodded looking scared as she looked at Carl and James.

"We're sorry daddy," James said quickly. "We really are and we won't do it again, we were just curious," he said softly, looking up at Rick with wide eyes.

"Ever heard of a phrase called 'Curiosity killed the cat?" Rick asked calmly and they looked upset as he took them downstairs where the others were getting a lecture.

"Mom we're sorry."

Anna hugged them all tightly. "We know you are, don't worry, your father and I forgive you, don't we?" she asked looking at Rick.

Rick nodded and Anna knew this had to bring painful memories back for him as he kissed her on the lips and hugged the kids before going on watch.

"He's mad at us." Carl said upset as they saw Daryl talking to Dean, Aoife and Rayland with Bailey as they watched.

"YA DON'T EVER NOT DO WHAT YER TOLD AGAIN, YA HEAR?" Daryl yelled at them, as the three of them stood looking pale and scared of their father. "MAYBE NOT THIS TIME, BUT NOT LISTENIN' TO US CAN GET YA KILLED." He looked at Dean and Aoife. "YA SHOULD BE ASHAMED, LETTIN' YER LITTLE BROTHER WATCH THAT!"

Aoife looked at him with her bottom lip trembling. "But daddy-"

"DON'T BUT DADDY ME!" Daryl snapped. "BED, NOW! THE THREE OF YA. UNTIL YA LEARN YER LESSON!"

Carl bit his lip as he hugged Judith and James. "This was all my idea, I shouldn't have suggested it."

"You came up with this idea of watching horror films?" Bailey asked as everyone looked at Carl who looked ashamed.

"It was my idea, I'm sorry everyone and please don't blame Dean and Aoife." He said as Daryl walked over to him and looked at him.

"This true?"

Carl nodded quietly as he looked up at Daryl with scared eyes. "Yes," he whispered.

Daryl huffed for a second before looking at Anna. "Control yer kid," he snapped before picking up his crossbow and going for a hunt.

"I'll talk to him, don't worry." Bailey said comfortingly as she hugged them and hurried after Daryl as everyone watched.

Carl felt miserable and headed outside.

Anna followed him and sat down beside him. "Carl, it's alright," she said softly. "Your father and I did things like that when we were younger too. It's over, it's done, we forgive you," she said as she hugged him. "The other kids stayed there by choice too, it's not like you forced them. Everyone did wrong, not just you."

"I know thanks mom." Carl said as they sat in the evening sunshine as they saw Daryl walking over to them with Bailey.

"I'm sorry about earlier."

Anna shook her head. "Don't worry about it," she said as she stood up and helped Carl up. "Come on; let's get you inside little man."

Carl nodded and they headed inside where Carl went to be with the other kids as they all helped make dinner.

"My old man is so pissed at me and Annette." Damien said sadly.

Maria nodded. "Mom and dad are mad at me and Josh too," she added. "Aoife, Dean and Rayland aren't even allowed out of their rooms."

"I'm sorry everyone," Carl said quietly. "I didn't mean to get us in trouble."

"Its alright Carl, we know you didn't mean to." Sophia said softly as she touched his shoulder and they continued to make dinner when they saw Aoife, Dean and Rayland come out of their rooms.

"Daddy let us out."

Carl gave them a small smile as they finished dinner, and all of the adults came in to eat.

"This looks lovely, kids," Carol said softly, trying to break the tension as they all sat down.

"Thank you, Aunt Carol." Aoife said shyly as they all ate in silence when Rick sat beside Anna and didn't even glance at Carl when Merle spoke.

"What films did ya watch?"

"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Chernobyl Diaries and Jeepers Creepers," Dylan said quietly.

Carl put his fork down and looked at his dad. "Will you just get it out dad? If you have to shout, do it! If you wanna hit me, do it! Just stop damn ignoring me!"

"We'll talk outside." Rick said and they both left the table as everyone watched on worriedly and Anna sighed sadly.

"We're sorry pa." Dean said softly.

Daryl looked at him before going back to his dinner, as they all sat at the table silently.

"I'm sorry, dad," Carl said quietly. "I really am. Why won't you believe me?"

"I do believe you, really I do it's just brought some bad memories." Rick said looking down at his son who looked deeply ashamed.

"Was that why Judith was trying to put a chair against the wardrobe?"

Carl nodded. "She thinks the monsters were going to come for her," he said sadly. "I didn't mean to scare her or upset her, honest."

Rick nodded. "I know you didn't."

Carl nodded and Rick hugged him tightly as they saw Dean storming out of the house with his crossbow as Daryl chased after him.

"DEAN GET BACK HERE!"

Carl frowned. "Looks like I'm not the only one in trouble," he said quietly, as Rick put an arm around his shoulder and they went back inside.

Anna smiled as she seen them come in together. "Hey guys, you alright?"

"We're fine mom." Carl said smiling softly and Anna smiled warmly as they watched it snow outside.

Dean had killed three walkers with his crossbow when Daryl had caught up to him and saw that his son was looking at a herd.

Dean backed away and ran straight into Daryl. "Go away, pa," he snapped, as he stormed back to the house, away from the herd, which were thankfully going in a different direction, and they hadn't noticed the two of them.

Daryl walked after him gripping his own crossbow. "DON'T WALK AWAY FROM ME BOY!"

"WHY YA FUCKIN' HATE ME PA, I'M SORRY THAT WE WATCHED THOSE FILMS AND I DIDN'T MEAN FOR AOIFE AND RAYLAND TO HAVE NIGHTMARES!" He yelled.

"I know ya didn't c'mere." Daryl said pulling him into him and he cried into his shirt.

Daryl picked him up and put both the crossbows over his shoulder before they walked back to the house, making sure the herd were gone in the other direction.

"I really am sorry pa." Dean said quietly and Daryl smiled softly as he stroked his hair and they sat down next to Bailey and the others.

"I know ya are, I love ya."

"Love ya too," Dean said as he curled into him and Aoife and Rayland cuddled into either side of him, with the triplets playing on the floor.

"Why don't we all go and get some rest?" Rick asked softly. "It's been a long day."

Everyone nodded and headed upstairs with Rick going to where Anna was taking her medication and drinking some water.

"Maybe I should tell them truth." He said sighing and Anna smiled sadly.

"It's up to you," Anna said softly, "Whenever you're ready, Rick," she said and gave him a gentle pat on the back.

Rick nodded and held Anna's tightly as they headed upstairs to bed and smiled as they tucked in their children.

"You're not mad at us anymore, are you daddy?" Judith asked softly as Rick kissed her forehead.

Rick shook his head. "No, I'm not sweetheart, I'm sorry for shouting at you and your brothers."

"Its ok daddy, we deserved it." James said hugging him tightly.

Rick shook his head. "No, you didn't. You're good kids, the best," he said with a smile, as he pulled the blankets up around them. "I love you all."

"We love you too, daddy." Judith said cuddling him as they all fell asleep and Rick watched over them along with Anna as they joined hands tightly.

"Goodnight."

"Night, Rick, I love you," Anna replied as she curled into him and held her family tightly to her.

The next morning everyone woke up with warm smiles on their faces as they all went downstairs to have breakfast.

Car sat beside Sophia as they talked quietly and Dean looked at them.

"Did ya tell ya dad about that man?"

Carl shook his head. "No, not yet," he admitted quietly as he ate his breakfast.

"What man?" Daryl asked, having heard their conversation.

"When we were watching Jeepers Creepers, we saw a man who liked the guy in the film watching us through the fence, he didn't see us though." Carl said quickly and Daryl nodded in understanding when Dean spoke.

"He had the same truck."

Daryl frowned as he ate his breakfast. "That's some freaky shit. Ya kids sure ya weren't imagining things?" he asked.

"I'm sure pa, we heard rattling against the window and everything." Dean insisted and Daryl nodded in understanding

"Why don't we go and tell Rick then?" Daryl suggested as he wrapped an arm around Dean. "I'm sure it ain't anything serious."

Dean nodded and they went into the kitchen to tell Rick just as Aoife froze and looked at Daryl with wide eyes.

"Daddy please don't ride the bike on the highway."

"Why, sweetheart?" Daryl asked confused. "What is it?" he asked as he cuddled Aoife closely to him.

"I don't want you to get run over by Leatherface and... Get eaten by him." She said and started to cry into his shirt.

"There was a woman who looked like mama in the film and even had her name." Dean said upset that he had scared Aoife.

"They ain't real," Daryl tried to assure them. "It was only a film. Ain't gonna let anyone hurt ya, I promise ya, alright?"

"Yes pa." They said and headed into the living room to tell Rick when they heard a piano playing from outside and Rose paled.

"He's here."

"Who's here?" Will asked confused as Rose took his hand.

"The man from the film," Rose said shaking. "Daddy, please get rid of him."

Will hurried outside where he saw a man in a black truck watching him before he drove away on the highway and the music stopped playing.

"What the hell?"

"Daddy, it's the man from Jeepers Creepers," Rose said with a frown. "I'm scared."

"What are ya talking about Rose?" he asked. "It's just a movie, ain't real."

"We saw him last night, he was watching us from his truck and we heard something outside." She said as they heard knocking on the door.

Anna went to open it to see it was Catherine and John who looked serious and worried as they stepped inside.

"We're here to speak to the children about a homicide that is identical to the films they watched last night."

"You think it's like a copycat murderer?" Rick asked worriedly as he showed them into the kitchen where the kids were.

John nodded. "It's possible. I guess."

"What's going on dad?" Carl asked confused at seeing the two FBI agents in the house and felt Sophia take his hand.

"We're here to talk to you about the films you watched last night." John said kindly and they all paled.

"How do you know what we watched?" Carl asked worriedly. "And what exactly do you want to know?"

"We found a note attached to a body saying you had watched Jeepers Creepers, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Chernobyl Diaries." Catherine said kindly.

"We're going to show you all some pictures."

The kids nodded hesitantly, as Catherine and John brought out some pictures of people who had been murdered, the same as in the films.

"Why are you showing us these?" Dean asked confused.

"Because we think you might have seen something in the films that might be a clue." Catherine explained and they all nodded when Rayland spoke.

"The man in the film had brown eyes but that man has green." He said pointing to a photo and the others nodded.

"That woman had black marks on her face." Judith said quietly.

"Are we helping you with a murder investigation?" Rayland asked, half excited and half nervous, as he sat near Daryl and Bailey.

"In a way you are with your parent's permission, we'd like you all to watch these films." Catherine passed them to Rick who frowned.

"Why on earth do they have to watch these?" he asked as he looked at the two FBI agents. "They're going to have nightmares. Can we at least stay with them?"

"You can stay with them and the trial is tomorrow for Rose." They told Will who nodded and held Rose tightly.

"Thank you," Will said softly, as he gave John and Catherine a small smile.

John nodded. "There should be enough evidence to put them away for a long time."

Everyone nodded as they watched the two agents leave and Carl picked up a DVD that had a woman being grabbed by hand; the cover said 'The Evil Dead.'

"That looks creepy." Emma said quietly.

"Why do we need to watch these?" Judith asked as she held Rick's hand tightly.

"To help John and Catherine with their investigations," Rick said softly.

"We'll be with all of you though, don't worry." Anna said as they all curled on the sofas as they watched the first film and Carl felt like he might vomit.

"He set her on fire because she was possessed?" Duane asked disturbed.

Carl nodded. "Looks like it," he said disgusted. "Why are they making us watch this? Is there someone out there killing people like this?" he asked shuddering.

"Yes Carl there is." Rick said rubbing his shoulder and they watched as the film ended when they heard the radio crackle.

"We found the killer." John's voice crackled.

"Do you have him captured?" Rick asked through the radio.

John nodded. "Yes, for now. We'd like the children to come and identify him if possible."

"That's fine but we're coming with them." Rick said as they all headed to where the cars were and drove to the base quietly.

"Can we burn those films?" Dean asked quietly.

Daryl nodded at him. "We'll get rid of them when we get back, don't ya worry son," he said softly.

Dean nodded as they pulled up at an abandoned police station and headed inside when they saw Catherine and John waiting for them.

"Is he here?" Rick asked as they looked around the inside. "How many people has he killed?"

"Four or five, we think," John explained. "He copies from different movies. He's being held in one of the old cells."

Rick nodded and they followed John to a cell where a dark haired man with cold grey eyes glared at them as he sneered at them and Carl knew it was him.

"It's him." The kids said firmly.

"Are you sure?" Catherine asked quietly as she looked at them all.

Duane nodded. "That's him for sure. He was outside our house."

John nodded and thanked them all when he looked at Will then at Rose gently.

"Are you all ready for the trial?" he asked with a soft smile.

Rose nodded. "Yes, John, I think so," she said as she held her fathers hand tightly.

"Alright then, we'll see you all tomorrow." John said kindly as they all headed outside and drove back to the house content.

"At least he's been caught," Dean said as he cuddled into Bailey. "He can't hurt us anymore."

"We wouldn't have let him anyway, son," Daryl assured him.

Dean nodded as he and Carl grabbed all of the DVDS that they had watched and along with Damien burned them in front of everyone.

"I'm tired." Annette said cuddling into Merle.

"Let's get ya up to bed then," Merle said softly, as he took Annette and Damien up and came back down, grabbing a bottle of Southern Comfort out of the cupboard. "Christ, I need this tonight."

Daryl nodded and took a bottle as well as everyone put the kids to bed and got comfortable as they all started to head to bed.

"I love ya, Bailey." Daryl said softly.

"I love you too, Daryl," she said softly as she touched his cheek gently and they sat down on the bed.

"Ya don't think the kids hate me, do ya?" Daryl asked quietly as he took a drink. "I was pretty harsh on them, Dean especially."

"No Daryl, they don't hate you at all." Bailey said hugging him as the door opened and Aoife, Dean and Rayland came in looking sad.

"We don't hate ya pa, we understand." Dean said softly.

Daryl pulled the kids up on the bed beside him. "Thank god for that," he said softly as he hugged them all. "I'm sorry for bein' so mad at ya all. I love y'all, so fuckin' much."

"We love ya too," Rayland said with a smile. "We shouldn't have done what we did."

"We love ya lili uns." Daryl said hugging them all as they all got under the quilt and got into bed as they all slowly fell asleep, he wrapped his arms around his family tightly.

Merle smiled softly at Rose at the breakfast table the next morning. "Hey, lil sis. Ya all ready for the trial today?" he asked softly.

"I am big brother." She said swallowing as she drank some of her juice as they all got ready as they heard coming into the driveway and they all walked towards the car.

"How are you Rose?" Catherine asked kindly.

"I'm alright," Rose answered quietly, as she gripped Patricia and Will's hands, with Dylan, Daryl and Merle all close to her. "I just want those bad men to pay for what they did," she added.

"They will, don't worry." Catherine assured her as they all got into the car and drove to the court house with Rose curling into her family.

"Are they gonna be there?" Will asked worried.

John nodded. "Yes, they need to be, but we're going to make sure they're quite a distance from your family, don't worry," he assured him.

Will nodded. "As long as my Rosie is alright."

John nodded in understanding as they pulled up at the court house and got out as they headed into the court room where they saw a young red haired woman walking towards them.

"Hello Rose I'm Rachel, I'll be your lawyer for today." She said kindly.

"Hi Rachel," Rose said quietly as she shook her hand and then went back to her family. "Is she good, daddy?"

Will nodded. "Yes, she's going to help you make sure the bad men are punished."

Rose nodded and curled into her father and Patricia as the judge came in along with the jury and she saw Randall and Chase being led in.

"All rise for the judge."

Everyone stood up and gave Rose a reassuring smile, as the judge came in and took her seat.

"You may be seated," she informed them, before standing up. "What are the charges against the defendant, please?"

"Your honour the defendants are charged with kidnap, sexual abuse, drugging and rape." Rachel said firmly and everyone looked disgusted.

"I see Mr Gibson how do your clients plead?" The judge asked calmly even though she felt disgusted at what these two men had done to countless young girls.

"Your honour I'd like to call Will Dixon to the stand?" Rachel asked calmly.

"You may." The judge granted.

Will went to the stand and squeezed Rose's hand tightly as he sat in the damn chair and saw Chase looking at Rose.

"Mr Dixon do you swear to say nothing but the truth?"

"I do," he said as he glared at the man who was looking at his daughter.

"Please sit, Mr Dixon," the judge instructed.

Rachel gave him a small smile. "Mr Dixon, when did you first notice your daughter was missing?"

"It was when my son Dylan realised she hadn't come down to dinner, I thought she was hiding and I looked around the garden but she wasn't there." Will said thinking back.

"What state was your daughter in when you found her?" Rachel asked kindly.

"She was beaten and dressed up, but otherwise she was alright," he explained. "Then when I went to try and get her back, Randall pushed her over the railings and she was knocked unconscious."

"And were there any signs she was sexually abused?" Rachel asked gently.

"Yes she had bruises on her legs and she'd been drugged." Will said feeling rage run through him as he thought of those bastards hurting his Rosie.

"What happened next?" Rachel asked kindly.

"Myself and my sons were just about to kill everyone in the house after what they had done to Rosie," he admitted. "But then John and Catherine and the rest of the FBI agents came in and arrested them for us," he explained.

"How was Rose after her attack?" Rachel asked gently.

"She was traumatised; she kept on having nightmares and said it was her fault for playing outside. She thinks she deserved to be punished." He said pained.

"And how is she now?" Rachel asked softly as she looked over at the younger girl, holding Patricia and her brothers' hands.

"She's doing a little better," Will said with a sad smile. "It's going to take a while to get over it though."

"I see no further questions your honour." Rachel said as Mr Gibson got and walked towards where Will was.

"I do."

"Mr Dixon, why was no one watching your daughter when she was taken?" he asked as he glared at Will.

"Because Catherine and John were in the house explaining something to us," he snapped. "Rosie had gone out, and we hadn't seen her."

"So it was her own fault?" Mr Gibson asked with a smirk.

"No it wasn't her fault at all, we thought the kids were safe playing outside until those two bastards took my daughter." Will snapped at him.

"How did Rose act after her supposed attack?" Mr Gibson asked coldly.

"How do you think she acted?" Will glared at him. "She was drugged, raped, beaten. She didn' have a fuckin' party when we got her home, if that's what ya expect! She's still recovering right now; we're helping her through it."

"I see no further questions your honour but I'd like to call Merle Dixon to the stand?" Mr Gibson asked coldly.

"You may." The judge granted.

Merle hugged Rose before he got up and walked up to the stand, glaring at Chase and Randall as he walked past.

"Mr Dixon, do you swear to say the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?" the judge asked.

Merle nodded and sat down. "Yeah," he said gruffly.

"Merle how is your relationship with your father and siblings?" Mr Gibson asked Merle coldly as Beth and the others smiled at Merle comfortingly.

"It's great; we've got a good bond." Merle said calmly.

Mr Gibson raised an eyebrow. "Merle, I believe that you and your father didn't get on very well not so long ago."

"That's in the past now," Merle said firmly. "We're good."

"How did you and your family react to Rose going missing?" Mr Gibson asked coldly.

"Badly, we thought she'd been hurt or worse." Merle said thinking back.

"And you were going to kill the men who took her?" Mr Gibson asked.

"Course we were," Merle snapped at him. "She's my little sister."

"How did you reunite with Rose and Dylan?" Mr Gibson asked coldly

"We found them at a prison when a man called Dave took them outta Woodbury. We kept them there with us, but we didn't know who they were. We found our pa in a hospital some time ago and when we brought him back to the house, we found out that was our brother and sister," Merle explained.

"You and your younger brother Daryl didn't have a good relationship with your father before the dead rose did you?" Mr Gibson asked sweetly.

"We didn't but we mended that bridge." Merle said firmly.

"Do you think Rose lied about being raped?"

"Hell no," Merle snapped at him. "She had a rape kit done, and ya didn't see the damn state of her," he said as he frowned at Mr Gibson.

Mr Gibson nodded and gave him a sweet smile. "No further questions."

Rachel got up then and looked at the judge quickly as she spoke and Merle prayed those bastards were gonna be found guilty.

"Your honour I'd like to call Daryl Dixon to the stand?"

The judge nodded. "Go ahead."

The judge looked at Daryl as he arrived at the stand. "Mr Dixon, do you swear to speak the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?" the judge asked.

"I do," Daryl answered.

"You may sit down Mr Dixon." The judge granted and Daryl sat down as Rachel walked over calmly and looked at him.

"Daryl how did you react to Rose going missing?"

"How do ya think?" Daryl snapped at her. "She was missing, my little sister was missing, so we went to find her," he said annoyed.

"And how did you feel when you realized what had happened?" she asked.

"Devastated, upset and pissed off that those bastards had hurt my sister like that and had dressed her up, I wanted to kill them." Daryl said disgusted.

"How did your father react?"

"As expected," Daryl answered simply as he glared at Chase and Randall. "The same way that anyone would react if something like that had happened to their kid."

Rachel nodded and looked at Daryl carefully.

"How is your relationship with your father?"

"I hated him," Daryl admitted as he looked at his father and then looked away. "After what he did to me when I was little. But we worked past that eventually, and I ain't got a problem with him anymore."

Rachel nodded and looked at the judge quickly.

"Your honour I'd like to call Rose Dixon to the stand?" She asked softly.

Rose swallowed nervously as Will squeezed her hand and she got up and walked to the stand. "Rose, do you swear to speak the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?" the judge asked her softly.

Rose nodded. "Yes, madam."

"You may sit down Rose." The judge said softly and she sat down as everyone from her family gave her a comforting smile.

"Rose can you tell us what happened the day you were kidnapped?" Rachel asked gently knowing how traumatised she was.

Rose nodded and took a deep breath. "I was out catching frogs, when I felt someone take me and drag me away. Everyone else was in the house and they told me not to shout or they would kill me and my family. They put me into a car and took me to a house, where they tied me up in a bed and dressed me up, they did my hair and put make-up on me and everything," she said and paused. "Then they drugged me and I fell asleep, but when I woke up it hurt between my legs. I thought I was going to die, but daddy came for me. Randall threw me over the railings and I was knocked unconscious and when I woke up I was back at home again with my family."

"How were you after the attack?" Rachel asked gently and Rose licked her lips quickly as she thought back.

"I couldn't sleep well, I kept on thinking they were going to drag me under the bed and kill me." She said quietly.

"And how are you feeling now?" Rachel asked her as she offered her a soft smile.

"A little better," Rose shrugged. "I still get scared sometimes, but I have dad and mom, and Dylan, Merle and Daryl with me. As well as the rest of my family."

"I'm glad no further questions your honour." Rachel said as Mr Gibson got up.

"I do."

"Miss Dixon, why did you go into the garden yourself?" he asked as he watched her.

Rose looked nervously at her father who gave her a reassuring smile. "I thought I was safe, there were people on watch, and the others were nearby."

"But they were all indoors talking to the FBI and you went outside." Mr Gibson said as he tried to push Rose against the limit.

"I thought I was safe." She said trying to stay calm.

Mr Gibson nodded. "Don't you think you should have told someone where you were going?" he asked.

Rose looked ashamed. "Probably."

"Are you sure that you were raped, Rose?" Mr Gibson asked coldly and Rose felt tears come to her eyes as she looked at him.

"I am sure."

"Mr Gibson, I think that's enough," the judge said sternly as she looked at Rose. "You may return to your seat," she said softly.

Rose nodded and went to sit with Will, Dylan and Patricia as the judge spoke to the jury.

"You may now discuss a verdict.

Everyone sat and waited in silence as the jury left the room to discuss what was going to happen to the group who had hurt Rose. Will was holding her hand tightly, as Patricia and Dylan stayed by her side, with Daryl and Merle close by. Five minutes had passed before they came back in, and the judge looked to the main juror. "Have you reached a verdict?"

The man nodded. "Yes, your honour, we have."

"And how do you find the defendants?" the judge asked calmly.

"We find Chase Luke Grey and Randall Jacob Wood guilty your honour, on all counts of the crimes of rape, kidnap and abuse." The juror said calmly.

"You can't do this, do you know who my father is!" Chase yelled outraged.

"Take them down to the cells." The judge instructed and two officers led the men away when Chase sneered at Rick.

"Dad says hi."

Hershel looked at Rick worriedly as he watched them go. "Who's his father?" he asked quietly.

"He's Lori's older brother but I've never met him." Rick said worried as they all got up and started to leave when Daryl looked at Will.

"I'm gonna ask Bailey to marry me."
