Chapter Twenty-five:

BPOV:

When Caius told me he loved me, I was surprised, but I was also ecstatic. I knew I still loved Edward, but with him, it was somewhat forced. With Caius, he loved me for me. He didn't want to change me. That is what I loved about him.

"Oh Caius. I love you to."

Caius' face turned ecstatic before he leaned in and lightly kissed my lips. Fireworks exploded behind my eyes as his lips brushed against mine. I could feel the spark I had felt with Edward, only it was ten times more powerful. He then pressed his lips against mine harder, but was still gentle, leaving me filled with wonder.

As Caius pulled away, I knew I would always love Edward, but I loved Caius with everything in my body. Edward would want me to happy instead of morning over him for all eternity and I would have to live without him. Caius might be the one to help me with it.

We both turned back to the almost-there sunset that was vastly fading, oranges and reds spreading throughout the sky. I leaned against his shoulder, eventually moving my head onto his chest, probably surprising him. My actions were likely unexpected for him, but I felt mentally tired. So much had happened since I had woken up from my change, from finding about my family and friend's deaths again, Caius' life story, and him telling me he loves me. I felt Caius wrap his arms around me and I opened my eyes to find the night sky twinkling above us. Time had passed so quickly, even when we had just sat here. I looked up at Caius' red eyes and smiled back at him when I saw a natural smile grace his lips, making him look even more handsome than before.

"You're so beautiful."

I snorted, not believing him.

"You don't believe me?" he questioned in astonishment.

"No. I don't. Even as a vampire I am hardly worth anything," I replied, sadness creeping into my voice at the thought that I would never be with Caius.

Why would he want me? After all, he is an ancient vampire king. I am… heck, I don't even know if I am part of the guard or if I am just a rouge vampire, staying here until I find something better.

I then heard Caius start to growl loudly. I instinctively crept backward in fear, unsure if I should run or just give him some space. After a few minutes he calmed down and looked over at me in sadness.

"Oh Isabella, I am so sorry for all that I have done. I caused you to start thinking this way around me, and this is the effect my words had on you. Please believe me when I say that I love you with everything within me, because I truly do."

Caius looked at me with his red eyes and I did see the love he held for me within them.

"I believe you Caius. I can see that you mean what you say. I love you so much as well."

Caius smiled in happiness, lighting up his whole face before picking me up and twirling me once.

"Caius!" I yelped, my voice holding the surprise I felt.

After he set me down he smirked at me deviously. He then kissed my lips once more and I found myself lost. A spark shot through my body that felt like lightning and felt so good. I assume he felt it too as he pushed himself closer to me when I felt it go through my body.

He then stepped back from me and led me off the roof. We walked through the halls that I had run through before, hand in hand. We walked back to Caius' room and layed on his bed for some time before we heard footsteps coming down the hall.

"I guess this ends our time alone my dove."

"Hmmm. Yes, I suppose so."

A second later Aro and Marcus entered with concerned looks on their faces. Once they saw I looked content, they vanished for the most part.

"Are you all right Isabella?" Aro questioned.

"Yes Aro, I am fine. It's just such a huge shock, you know?

"I know my dear. Believe me when I say I feel your pain. Carlisle was one of my oldest friends and I did like his family despite the fact I wanted their powers, I did like them."

I then noticed Marcus was smiling and that surprised me, Caius also seemed to be in shock over that too.

"Marcus?"

"I saw your lines changing and we are very happy for you. Caius I am glad you have finally seen that Isabella is your mate."

"Thank you," Caius responded, holding me closer.

Aro then started planning the wedding and writing up invitations as Jane had somehow managed to grab Isabella and run off with her to take her measurements for the dress.

"I presume you have a suit brother?" Marcus asked.

"I do. Who will walk Isabella down the aisle?"

"That is up to her. I can tell she is thinking about that. In the end however, I think she will ask Aro to walk with her and for me to marry the two of you."

"You have a marriage license?" I asked incredulously.

Marcus chuckled. "Yes Caius, I do. I got bored so I decided, why not? After all we do live forever."

"That's great brother. I could see you as a minister or some other church figure."

"Thank you Caius."

BPOV:

Ever since everyone heard about the wedding, Jane and Heidi have been planning my dress for me. They took my measurements and picked out different colors for the wedding. Jane and I had looked at the possible styles while Heidi decorated one of the rooms with flowers and colors I had chosen before.

Aro wrote up the list of invitations, realizing that he would have to cross off the Cullen's now. It was still painful to think about everyone who had been killed, but it wasn't nearly as painful as before. I had a new family now, with new brothers and sisters and a new love. I looked out at the koi pond in the garden with all the bushes and trees surrounding it. Then my thoughts switched to Caius and I smiled fondly, glad he had finally let me into his life.

The wind picked up behind me and I recognized the familiar scent. I sighed, leaning into my fiancé's chest, feeling his warmth seep into my body.

"Caius," I sighed.

"Isabella, are you all right?" he asked, concerned for me. "You are acting surprisingly lucid for once."

I assured him I was fine and that I could dye his hair if it made him feel better.

He started slightly and said he was good as I laughed. We then walked around the garden, hand in hand.

It seemed my life was starting to turn out for the best again.

Several days later I heard Aro shouting to a person in the throne room.

"NO! WE WILL NOT HELP YOU! YOUR FATE WAS YOUR AND YOUR MATE'S FAULT! IT NEVER WAS AND NEVER WILL BE ISABELLA'S FAULT!"

'What? Who was here that thought it would be my fault over their future?' I thought, puzzled. I raced to the throne room and saw the familiar red hair that would haunt my dreams.

"YOU!" Victoria screeched.

She pounced at me and I jumped up, avoiding her attack. I twisted back around in mid-air, my eyes taking every detail in, and landed on her back. I then twisted Victoria's head off her body, relishing in the "snap!" that took place. Her body landed on the ground with a "thud" and I walked toward Aro, letting Demetri take care of burning her.

Caius had a smile on his lips, obviously proud of my undertake on Victoria.

Thank you for those of you who reminded me of killing off Victoria.
