Chapter Twenty-six

APOV:

I had at last finished up the invitations to Isabella and Caius' wedding. I was very upset I would have to cross off the Cullen's for good, especially Carlisle.

Goodbye my friend. I will miss you. We will take care of your daughter.

Jane told me she had the measurements for the dress Isabella would wear for the wedding. She and Heidi were now gathering fabrics to create the dress. I finished the invitations after about two hours and Demetri, Felix, and Alec had decorated the castle with flowers, banners and other fine objects for the wedding.

Gianna had gone to the post office early in the day and had mailed the letters so it would probably take a few days for them to get to their destinations. Isabella seemed to have gotten over the Cullen's death, obviously with the help of Caius, and now it was my turn.

By the evening the castle was decorated and everyone had their clothes and any accessories they needed. The following day a few of the vampires closer to Italy had shown up and by the second day vampires from all of Europe, Africa and some of North America had shown up. Night had fallen and it looked like everyone had shown up.

"Jane, is there anyone else that still needs to come?" I asked as she was keeping track of the guests.

"No master. The Denali's just showed up and they were the last ones on the list."

"Excellent. Do you need to feed?"

"No master. I fed just recently."

"Good. I need you to take out the "vegetarians" for me my dear," I requested and used Carlisle's term for his family.

Jane gathered the vegetarian vampires and led them all away from Voterra, towards the woods nearby so they could feed. They came back a few hours later, many grateful for the chance to feed. I got word not minutes later that everything was ready for the wedding. It was time.

I took deep breathes, trying to calm myself before I would walk out. Everyone was sitting in the next room and Marcus was going to marry us off. I too was surprised that Marcus had a marriage license, but like Caius, knew he would have made a fine church figure of some sort.

Aro would walk me down the aisle and had just changed into his suit. I was already dressed by Jane and Heidi, so I waited as they put on their make-up and did their hair at vampire speed. After about ten minutes they came out with flower baskets. Aro stood up and took my arm. The music started and we waited a few beats after Jane and Heidi left the room to walk down the aisle. Aro led me out of the room, around the corner, and we finally started to walk down the aisle. It was grandiose. The flowers over the archway were placed so that the white, light pink, pink, and red somehow managed to blend together. Caius and I had begged Aro to tone down the wedding, as we didn't want much; thankfully he agreed. I then saw Caius and my breath caught, vampire or not. He was so handsome in all black. His hair contrasted perfectly with his all black attire. Marcus spoke about loving and cherishing each other to the end of our days. I knew we would. We both spoke our vows and at long last the ceremony was done.

After hours of dancing and drinking people started to leave and Caius took me to his room. Our eyes said the same thing, 'We may have been stuck together at first, but now we will be together forever and always.'

Short but sweet ending. Thank you to all who read this until the end and thank you to future readers for the support.
