(Also...please don't comment "Steve can't get drunk" because he's not a super soldier, this is a high school!AU...)

There was no telling when the party had started but it wasn't going to end until someone inevitably fell into the pool. When word got around that Thor's house was open to the public it was filled with students from every high school and community college in the area. They came for the booze, the drugs, and just to get a look at the Odinson house…wanting to see if it was true that the Odinson's had money to burn. The house was huge so of course the parties were huge. There were people in the living room, the dining room, the kitchen, the foyer, the study, the billiard room, upstairs and downstairs and even outside…it seemed as if despite the size of the place people always found a way to fill nearly every room in the house, excluding—of course—the few rooms Loki and Thor had carefully made off limits.

Of course in true fashion the party started hard. The college students brought hard beer and kegs and the private school students brought drugs. There were more joints and crack passed around and shared in the first hour than there would be the rest of the night.

Steve was trying to enjoy himself. He'd had several more beers than he usually did at these things but other than that he wasn't taking a lot of interest in what was going on around him. So far he'd stuck close to his friends which surprisingly included Thor—and Jane—despite Steve's thought that Thor would've wanted to hang with his more "party savvy" friends. Bucky and Clint tried to get Steve talking to some of the private school girls but they didn't seem coherent enough to carry on a conversation. Besides…he could feel the knot of anxiety coiling further into his stomach. Loki was mad at him. He knew Loki was a little worked up about Carol Danvers rubbing herself up onto him but that was Loki being jealous which—was actually kind of cute. But now Loki was averting his eyes, purposely walking around him, barely saying a word…completely avoiding Steve altogether.

At the start of the night it did seem like Loki was just pissed off in general but that wasn't the case. The second Steve spotted Loki chatting away it became apparent that he wasn't in a foul mood…Loki was just in a foul mood with Steve.

He was so distracted by all of this that he'd stopped listening to Natasha, Clint, and Bucky. Whatever they were talking about they obviously didn't need his input but Steve didn't mind. It was better than mingling and Steve didn't have to move off the couch. All he wanted right now was the seat he was in and his beer. Multiple beers, really, none of them lasted very long. Steve watches the three continue to chatter and bicker with one another, letting out a sigh. Of course it didn't matter whether they were dating one another or seeing other people—they always found something to fight about. And despite the guys' best efforts to take control, Natasha always ended up on top. Although…the extremes Clint and Bucky went through when they weren't with Natasha romantically couldn't be more different. It was kind of funny really that Clint seemed to need Natasha around more than Bucky did. Without her he looked a little lost. Just the other day Steve had to help him figure out which class he had after lunch. He even called Steve after school because he got lost on the way to his own house. However Natasha it seemed was growing a little frustrated without Bucky. Steve had caught her numerous times walking to meet him at his locker and then suddenly realizing that she didn't have to anymore. Even though she was good at disguising her intentions she always found an excuse to touch his arm or his hair…she missed him she just didn't want to say it. Or didn't know how.

"Want something else to drink, babe?"

He looks to his right where Thor and Jane had curled up with one another on the couch, Thor playing with her hair. She smiles shyly and shakes her head. "No…water's fine. I have to be into work early tomorrow."

On the opposite spectrum of Steve's friends was Thor who seemed a million times more pleasant now that Jane was clinging to him 24/7. Things between Steve and Thor had been a little…shaky…especially now that Loki was hanging around Steve more and more but now that Thor had somebody to sort of distract him from that things felt a little more natural between them. Tonight however Steve was a little irritated that he couldn't really get a moment with Thor or Loki. And of course seeing Jane and Thor act sickeningly cute together was only making things worse.

Steve couldn't wrap his mind around it…he figured he and Loki would have off and on moments—like any relationship he'd dealt with—but Steve didn't take into account how distant Loki became when something was on his mind. Of course he'd probably never find out what was wrong…

"Oh, hey, Steve, what was Maximoff's deal with you?"

"Hmm?" Steve looks up when Bucky punches his foot. He wasn't listening. Loki had been so pleasant leading up to that gym class. What went wrong that pissed him off so badly?

"Maximoff—our MILF teacher—why doesn't she like you?"

"Ms. Maximoff doesn't like you, Steven?" Thor furrows his brow.

Clint scoffs, laughing into his drink. "A female teacher doesn't like Steve?"

"Coulson likes Steve," Natasha smirks, flicking Steve's arm. He makes a face at her and she grins.

"Coulson really likes Steve."

"Coulson wants to get with Steve, okay? I bet the way he grades Steve's papers borders somewhere on the erotic."

"He lays all of Steve's papers on his bed so he can roll on them."

"I heard he used to be part of Secret Service with Principal Fury—I bet he has all these little cameras so he can take pictures of Steve during class and tape them on his wall."

"He has a shrine of him like that Family Guy episode where Meg gets obsessed with Brian."

Bucky and Clint both laugh hysterically, Steve rolling his eyes. The last thing he needed to worry about was Mr. Coulson making any moves on him—though he did worry about it at times. At the same time Steve knew that Coulson was probably just glad to have somebody in his class that was as passionate about the subject as he was.

Thor gives him a little nudge and smiles, handing him another beer. "Don't worry too much about Ms. Maximoff. I'm sure she likes you just fine, I mean…she likes Loki."

"Yeah, I noticed that," Steve laughs dryly. "And it's not that she doesn't like me I just—wasn't doing her assignments the way she wanted but of course I didn't notice my grades were dropping before it was too late."

"Your mother tried to skin you alive, didn't she?" Thor grins.

That was the nice way of putting it, yes. If she screamed at him any longer than she had Steve would've gladly skinned himself. "Yeah, well—mom has an interesting way of showing her affection."

"Yeah," Bucky snorts. "Like a cat in a tub of water…" He sips his beer, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. "What's up with you though lately, man? It's not like you to let your grades slip—especially in history class. Coulson looked like he was going to have an aneurysm when he handed you back that test you got an 88 on."

Clint and Natasha both gasp and grin, covering up their laughter.

"I…guess I've been a little—distracted lately-"

A hand grazes his shoulder, a pair of long nails brushing a sensitive spot on his neck. Steve shivers slightly and turns his head to see Carol and some of her friends walk by him. Carol gives him a little wave. "Hi, Steve." He grimaces and turns back around. Also not something he wanted to deal with tonight. If Loki spotted Carol within a hundred feet of Steve he was a little worried he'd throw a fit. Until Steve knew what was setting Loki off he was just going to have to avoid any triggers that came to mind…especially Carol. She was getting bolder, he'd give her that. Not that he wanted her to be.

Bucky, Natasha, and Clint were all giving him amused smirks, Steve frowning at the three of them.

"What?"

"Dude," Bucky laughs, shaking his head.

Natasha snorts. "Please tell me that Carol Danvers is not your distraction."

"What—Carol?" Steve chokes. He swallows his embarrassment down as best he can. "No, of course not…"

"Why aren't you hitting that already? She's way into you!"

"Because I don't want to be," Steve answers dryly, sipping his beer.

"What?! You're crazy, man, sex is sex, don't matter who it's with-" Bucky yelps when Natasha pinches his ear. "I-I-I-I-I mean…wait—why do I have to correct myself? We're not sleeping together anymore."

"I know. I just like messing with you." He scowls at her, rubbing the back of his head. Steve continues chugging down his beer. He couldn't think of anything else to talk about, all he wanted to talk about was how pissed he was that Loki was pissed at him. Natasha watches him for a moment before giving him one of her half smiles. "Oh my God…you're seeing someone!"

"What?" Steve laughs shyly, forcing down his blush. "No I'm not…"

"I knew it!" Bucky yells, slapping Steve's leg. "I knew there was no way you were ignoring Carol on purpose—you're already tapping ass!"

Steve's face starts to burn red. "I'm not—tapping anything, Buck, we're just going out…"

"Yeah, but we all know you will be."

"Get some, Steve!"

"Did you finally ask out your mystery person?" Thor asks, grinning.

"Yeah, I did but—no, I—it's not what you guys are thinking, I just-" Natasha jumps off the arm of the couch when he yelps, a girl collapses partially onto the couch and partially onto Steve's lap. He hesitates, not sure whether to push her off or help her up. "Umm…"

"Damn, Steve," Clint grins. "You're just raking in all the babes."

A group walks into the living room howling with laughter. Loki was hanging off one of the guy's waists. He and Steve lock eyes for a brief moment before Loki blushes and looks away. The guy with Loki clears his throat and grins. "Sorry about her, mate…Lorelei's a bit of a lush."

"And a slut," one member of their group chimes in, the rest of them laughing. Steve looks down at the girl who'd collapsed onto him. She'd partially regained consciousness and was struggling to sit back up. She had golden auburn hair and sharp green eyes that were extremely bloodshot. There were gold hoops in her ears and she was wearing a Catholic uniform—a private school student. Her top was unbuttoned halfway down and Steve wondered if she even knew. Steve takes care to hold her shoulders as he attempts to help her up, Thor eventually just grabbing her waist and arm to pull her upright.

"Lorelei, sweetie, Steve's kinda shy and I don't think he wants you in his lap."

"Thor, baby," she purrs, slurring slightly. "You should know by now that—EVERYBODY—wants me in their lap." She laughs, Thor struggling to get her to sit up straight. She was pretty…probably a lot prettier when she was sober and fully dressed but pretty nonetheless. And in an eerie, familiar sort of way. Although from the way she was stroking Thor's biceps Steve figured that was the connection. "Thor, when—when did you get here?!"

"God, she's dumb," a girl laughs, the group settling on the floor.

"Such a fucking dumbass."

"Leave her alone, guys," Loki sighs. He smiles when Lorelei flops forward to wrap her arms around his shoulders, Thor holding the hem of her skirt to keep her from falling onto the floor. "Hi, sweetie. Billy, will you—knock it off? Just because my pants have pockets doesn't mean your hand belongs there."

Clint whispers something to Bucky and Natasha and the three of them laugh amongst themselves. The guy on Loki's left with multi-colored hair and a few piercings had sneaked his arm casually around Loki's waist. Loki didn't even seem to mind. A coil of heat twists itself into Steve's gut. It didn't help that he looked great tonight. Loki seemed to have a habit of shrugging off all of the bulky, monotone clothing he wore to school—tight pants, loose form shirts, and fussed up hair—Loki looked so natural when he wasn't wearing clothes that looked like he should own twenty cats. Steve takes a deep breath. Thinking about Loki in tight pants wasn't doing him any good.

The one called Billy leans forward to whisper something in Loki's ear and boldly hooks his fingers into one of the belt loops of Loki's pants. Steve grabs another beer and chugs it down with a scowl, Natasha raising a brow as she watches him.

"What?" Steve's tone was sharper than he intended it to be. She gives him an odd look and shakes her head, looking away. He sighs, mumbling an apology.

"Something bothering you?"

He hesitates. "No."

Lorelei attempts to sit up on her own but could only manage to fall backwards onto the floor, flashing everyone her underwear. The whole group laughs at her, Lorelei able to push herself up. She looks around at them and starts laughing along.

"Too much to drink, Lorelei?"

Sif glides into the room with a smirk, motioning for the people in the recliner to move. She sits down and one leg crosses over the other in a fluid motion. She perches her chin up on her fist with the coy, judgmental smile she didn't seem to ever leave behind. "A bit early in the evening for you to be this wasted, isn't it?"

"Yeah, it—it helps me look at your face!"

Jane lets out a sharp laugh and instantly bites her tongue, Sif glaring at her. "Sorry," she mumbles, blushing fiercely. Thor gives her side a little squeeze and kisses her hair. She grins, brushing his hair back behind his ear. Steve felt like he was being punched in the stomach.

"Oh my God…" Lorelei slurs, grabbing at Thor's leg. "Thor…you got a girlfriend?" Jane waves at her. "Aw, she's—she's so little…you're so little!"

Thor chuckles. "This is Jane."

She runs a hand through her hair, her gold hoops dangling against her neck. "I got some crystal, you want some?" Lorelei reaches into her bra and pulls out a little baggy of translucent rocks.

The color drains from Jane's face. Steve doubted it was a question she ever expected to hear. "No, thanks." The group on the floor starts to snicker.

Lorelei laughs and struggles to climb back onto the couch, Steve eventually taking her arm and helping her up. She pushes herself up enough to give him a charming grin, her hand reaching out to touch his chest. "Hi," she coos, running her hand from his chest to his shoulder. "You're cute I've never seen you before…" Lorelei holds up her little baggy to Steve. "You want some crystal?"

"Oh…I-"

"Don't bother, Lorelei," Loki snorts, smirking. "Rogers is too much of a straightedge for any of that."

She furrows her brow and frowns, concentrating harder than she probably needed to. "Straight…edge?"

"It means he's dull, baby girl," Billy chuckles. Steve narrows his eyes at him and chugs down the rest of his beer. His hands were still dangerously close to being ripped off. The one was resting casually on the small of Loki's back and his pinky was teasing the hem of Loki's pants. Billy pulls out a little baggy of his own and taps some of the contents into Loki's outstretched palm and grins as he watches him snort the contents out of his hand. Loki throws his head back as his body gives a little tremor, letting out a laugh. He hums, pressing a little closer towards Loki. "I guess it's good then, eh?"

Loki laughs and wipes the little bit of blood and leftovers from under his nose. Thor scowls at him as he takes another hit, the rest of his group following in suit. "Loki—do you really have to do that?"

"Hey, you're the one that wanted a party."

Sif scoffs. "Not to watch you make an ass of yourself—again."

"He didn't want to watch you be a total bitch, either."

She rolls her eyes and mumbles under her breath, Thor sighing. Steve's stomach felt knotted up. Billy had closed a decent amount of space between himself and Loki. One hand was slowly rubbing his side and had pulled him closer to him while the other was tracing up his arm and around his wrist. He hums something into Loki's ear—who smiles—his lips briefly grazing over his jaw. Steve was starting to feel like at any moment he could snap. Loki was behaving like an ass and Steve was starting to get the idea that he was doing it in front of him on purpose. He leans forward to grab another beer, Natasha grabbing his arm.

"Maybe you should take it easy," she orders calmly.

He pulls his arm away from her, beer in hand. "Will you lay off? Please? It's not like I'm driving home or anything tonight so I'd like to get at least a little plastered."

"I don't see how that's an excuse for you to get drunk, Steve."

"And I don't know why you need an excuse to tell me what to do all the time." Natasha frowns at him and rolls her eyes, turning back to Bucky and Clint. Steve blinks when he feels a pair of hands starting to trace over his body as well.

"You're so tense," Lorelei grins, attempting to climb onto Steve's lap. Luckily Thor was keeping a hold on the hem of her skirt…though he looked amused. "Do you—do you have a girlfriend? You should have a girlfriend…" She grabs his upper-arm and squeezes it. Steve laughs shyly and tries to pull his arm away.

"No, I—don't have a girlfriend but I—I umm-" His eyes flicker to Loki for a brief moment.

"Hey, Steve," Thor laughs, pulling Lorelei's arm away from him. "Don't sweat it, she's harmless."

"Yeah, I'm harmless…" Lorelei purrs, running her hand across his chest and pulling him closer. Bucky and Clint start hooting. He scowls at them. The group around the coffee table was laughing as well which Steve really didn't want because that meant Loki was probably watching. Although…the way Loki'd been acting so far tonight Steve wasn't so sure he cared. Steve untangles himself from her arms to push her away when she pauses, furrowing her brow at him. "St-Steve?" Her eyes widen and she grins. "Ohhhhhh…you're Steve!" He smiles at her and nods. "No, you're—you're the guy that beat the shit out of my sister's boy toy."

Everyone around them stops talking, the group Loki was with going silent as well. Steve looks around—even Thor and Sif were giving him curious looks. He was confused. Sister…boy toy…Steve looks at the gold hoops in her ears, the way her green eyes glinted that wicked sort of color—there was something familiar. "You're—Amora's sister." She nods…a little too enthusiastically in Steve's opinion. It didn't make any sense though. This girl was so—Steve didn't want to say stupid but she was giving off that impression. "You…don't look anything like her."

"Thanks," Lorelei grins, tossing her hair to the side. "I try not to be a total bitch to everyone…" Steve—and a few others—force down a laugh. "So you're the guy who beat Skurge…you're smaller than I thought you'd be."

Natasha breaks the silence by standing and holding up her hand. "Wait—what?"

"You crushed Skurge's clavicle?" Thor leans forward and lets out a laugh.

"Yeah," Steve shrugs, taking a sip of his beer. "Why?"

Thor starts laughing. He pulls away from Jane to stand, shaking his head and laughing. Steve just stares at him—still confused. "Oh my God…holy fuck-" Thor swats the beer out of Steve's hand. "I'm getting you a real drink, man, just stay right there." He continues laughing and shaking his head, walking towards the kitchen.

"What's the big deal?" Steve asks, laughing dryly. He got the shit beat out of him too…

"Amora was like—soooo pissed," Lorelei answers. Steve glances at Loki and his new best friend. Billy had been staring intensely at Steve, leaning forward to whisper something into Loki's ear. Loki shrugs.

"She seemed like it. I didn't know she had a sister though…"

"Wait, wait, wait," Natasha crosses her arms, giving Steve a narrowed look. "When exactly were you fighting Skurge?"

Bucky laughs dryly. "You said you were in a fight but I didn't know you meant a…fight fight. Is that really why you were all busted up? I mean shit, Steve, you had stitches in your lip and everything-"

"Who's Skurge?" Clint clears his throat. "I mean…I feel like I'd be in more awe if I understood what the fuck was going on."

Lorelei sits up abruptly and holds out her hands, looking around at everyone like they were listening to her. "Skurge is—he's—like Thor…" she pauses for effect, "but bigger." Steve catches her when she starts to fall forward.

"Bigger than Thor? Well shit I don't get why everyone's acting like Steve's committed a murder I mean I kinda want to shake his hand." Natasha shoots Clint a look and he shrugs. "What? Just saying. Good for you, Steve, be the badass you are."

Natasha rolls her eyes, cocking her hips to the side. "Shut up, Clint." She glances at Steve who was grabbing for another beer since Thor knocked his other one onto the rug. Natasha catches his wrist and pulls the cup from his reach. "I'm being serious, Steve, those fights are dangerous you could've been stabbed. What the hell were you thinking? Half of those guys should be in prison."

Steve frowns, sitting back against the couch. He was getting a little tired of the high and mighty act that everyone seemed to be giving him tonight. "You know what, Nat? You're not my mother so how about you lay off."

The room goes quiet again.

"Steve-"

She motions for Bucky to be quiet. Natasha hardens her face and cocks an eyebrow. "No, he's right, Bucky. I'm not his mother. But someone has to start acting like it." Loki scoffs, Natasha shooting him a look. "Oh shut up, Laufeyson. You're the one who dragged him there in the first place, I know it-"

"I didn't drag him anywhere," Loki snorts, taking a sip from Billy's beer. "Rogers was giving me a ride and he wanted to do something. All of his suggestions were—boring."

"Or maybe none of them involved you getting to push Steve to see how far he would go."

"I think that's a little farfetched-"

"Actually I think it's right on target," Natasha scoffs, glaring at him. "You manipulate everyone around you into doing whatever you want and then wonder why you don't have any friends." Thor rejoins the group. He tenses up instantly as he hands Steve his drink and sits back down next to Jane. Steve notices that Billy had pulled back slightly from Loki. Natasha had noticed this too. She addresses him while still glaring at Loki. "Do you know why he's been letting you touch him the way he has? Because he knew you had drugs on you. Why waste his own when he can get some for free?"

Loki scowls at Natasha as he stands to exit the room. "Where you going, baby?" Billy calls after him.
"If you give me a kiss I'll give you whatever kind of drugs you want." Loki scoffs and rolls his eyes. Steve watches him go as Natasha turns her attention back to him.

"He didn't manipulate me into doing anything," Steve slurs slightly, rubbing his eyes. Things were starting to blur together. "We were—hanging out and I asked what he wanted to do. He mentioned street fighting. So I took him to a street fight. He didn't even want to go…"

Natasha lets out a dry laugh and shakes her head. "Let me guess…he said something like—you wouldn't be interested in something like that."

Steve tenses up and tightens the grip on his glass. He gulps down his drink and shakes off the burn, staring into the now empty cup. Loki did say something like that…but why did everyone always have to become instantly judgmental whenever Loki was involved? Steve knew he was manipulative, yes, but none of them had been at the fight downtown. Even if Loki had somehow manipulated Steve into the ring he was obviously concerned for Steve's wellbeing.

"I need some air."

He pushes himself up and steps around people to get out of the living room. He glances back to see Natasha lean forward to whisper something to Bucky who looks back at her and shrugs.

The buzz he was getting from having so many beers wasn't making motion easy. Steve wasn't a big drinker. Getting drunk was a challenge and because of that he'd only been drunk once so far and that was when he was thirteen and all he could remember was that he was with Bucky, Clint, and Thor and that his mother had to pick him up at Walmart for causing a public disturbance. He couldn't remember what his mother did to him afterwards but it was horrifying enough that he'd suppressed the memory.

Tonight he wasn't really giving a fuck.

He didn't like thinking about Loki twisting his hand to get him to do what he wanted and he really didn't like watching somebody else rub up onto what Steve considered his. In all honesty Steve could handle Loki being pissed off with him but the flirting and the touching was a step too far. Relationships may not be Loki's forte and they may be hiding whatever their relationship was but it didn't mean Loki had to suck up whatever attention he could get from anyone who paid him mind.

Steve walks into the kitchen to find Loki sitting casually on the counter. They don't address one another at first, Steve setting his glass in the sink. He grabs a beer from the fridge and turns to him with a scowl. Loki frowns. "What?"

"You know what."

He scoffs, leaning back on his arms casually. "I'm sorry, Steven, but I'm afraid I don't. I can't read minds despite what Thor may have told you in the past." Loki's eyes don't linger on him for long before he blushes ever so slightly and looks away.

"That!" Steve snaps. "That's what! You keep doing that!"

"I don't know what you're talking about, Steve."

"No, you just can't think of a way to turn it around on me. You refuse to talk or even look at me all night and then you think flirting with someone else is okay? What the hell is wrong with you?"

It wasn't normal for Steve to feel like his blood was boiling the way it was but he'd already had one too many beers tonight so the rational side of his brain was struggling to keep up. At the same time Steve wasn't really frustrated with just Loki…he looked good tonight and without being able to hang off of his hip like Thor was Jane. Steve glares at him as Loki calmly runs a hand through his hair and sighs. "I just wanted a free hit, okay? Calm down."

"Still doesn't explain why you were letting him touch you like that."

"I appreciate the jealousy," he sneers, actually making eye-contact, "but that doesn't mean you have to act like a jackass."

"You're the one acting like a jackass, you can't even look at me for more than five seconds before-" Steve lowers his voice when some of the other people in the kitchen turn to stare at them. Loki takes the opportunity to hop down from the counter and dodge around Steve for the exit. "Loki…" Steve sighs, following him. "Loki, wait-" Steve reaches out to grab his arm, Loki tensing up and wrenching it away from his grasp.

"STOP-" Loki hisses, holding his arms up defensively with his fists clenched tightly. "Just—I can't deal with this right now. I don't know how to explain to you…" He sighs, lowering his arms. "I don't know how to explain."

"Explain what? Explain what the hell that was just now or why you thought flirting was a good way for you to get what you want."

"I'm not saying what I did is justified in anyway, I'm not arguing with you, Steve." Loki glances at the beer in Steve's hand. "How much have you had to drink?"

He scowls at him. "A few. What does it matter? It's a party, I should be getting drunk."

"Just because it's a party doesn't mean you have to get drunk. That's stupid."

Steve motions towards the living room. "Oh and you flirting around just to fuck yourself up isn't stupid?" He pauses. Why did he say that? Steve shakes his head. Loki looked like Steve had just punched him in the face. "Shit…" Steve mumbles, running a hand over his face. "I didn't—I shouldn't have said that, okay? I'm not—I'm not trying to…I just—you—you're upset with me and I don't-"

"It's fine, Steve," Loki sighs. His arms were crossed across his chest. "I suppose I deserved that one…I apologize for flirting, it was insensitive of me."

"Stop bullshitting me, Loki, and just tell me what's wrong." Steve reaches for his arm and Loki practically jumps back away from him, his breathing heavy and shaky. He furrows his brow. "What did I do?"

"Not right now, okay?" Loki runs his hands through his hair and sighs, pulling completely away from Steve. "I—I need a cigarette…"

Steve almost felt irrationally angry. He tosses his cup in the already overflowing trashcan and watches Loki walk away. Whatever was going on he just didn't care, there was no point. Getting a straight answer from Loki was like trying to jump over the fucking moon. He was frustrated. Frustrated that Loki wouldn't talk to him about what was going on, frustrated with his jealousy—which was warranted but still—he was frustrated with the lack of control he had in this whole situation. It was starting to feel more and more like Loki was just toying with him despite the fact that Loki kept assuring him that he wasn't. Still—the nagging voice in the back of Steve's head wasn't pleasant.

He follows him. At a distance, yes, but Steve still had more he wanted to say. There were so many people in the way though and…Steve was having some difficulty walking. Every sip of beer he took now was falling into his stomach and rushing straight to his head. The whole fucking house felt like it was spinning. Steve continues pushing forward until he finds himself at the sliding glass doors that led out to the backyard and the pool. Loki wanted a cigarette…so he'd be outside. That made sense. There were a lot of people out here around the pool too which was kind of weird.

Thor was here too. In fact he was talking to Loki by the pool. Steve furrows his brow and watches them for a moment. Why did Loki have to stand like that? With his hips cocked so deliciously to the side? He pulls the doors open and stumbles outside, dropping his beer. It was empty anyways…

"Look, just—try not to get him into any more trouble, okay?" Thor sighs, rubbing the back of his neck.

Loki takes a drag of his cigarette and rolls his eyes. "Is that you talking or Natasha pressuring you to talk?"

"Loki, please, I don't want to fight, I just—oh, hey, Steve," Thor smiles at him awkwardly as Steve stumbles into their conversation. Loki sighs, looking away. "Umm—could you give us a moment? I just need to talk to Loki for a minute-"

Steve ignores him. He was too busy watching the way Loki's body moved. It was almost ridiculous how fit his form was…kind of like how Thor was just ripped without even trying. Steve grabs Loki's waist and runs his hands down his sides, Loki tensing up instantly and dropping his cigarette. "God, your body's so great…such a great waist to hip curvature…"

"Uhh…" Thor clears his throat, trying to force out a laugh. "Steve?"

"Get—off!" Loki pushes him back, Steve laughing at him. He catches himself before he falls over. Thor furrows his brow as Steve continues to laugh. Loki was having fun teasing him… That was all it was, wasn't it? Loki was just playing hard to get. That's what he always did—pretended not to want Steve so Steve would want him more. It made sense.

"Thor, Thor…" Steve wheezes, laughing. "Do you know—do you know why your brother is such a tease?" Loki's face pales. "Because…because he has such a great ass." Thor clears his throat again and looks around, forcing out a small chuckle. There were a few people looking at them now. Steve's laughter starts to die out as he rubs his eyes and looks up at Loki. He looked upset. "Aww, baby, don't be mad," Steve grins and pulls Loki towards him. He runs his hands down his waist and hips to grab his ass, digging his fingers into him slightly. Loki's face was burning. He'd become rigid but Steve hadn't noticed. "I hate it when you're mad at me…" Loki shoves Steve away from him, his face burning even redder than before. He was shaking like he'd been when Steve tried to touch him but this time it was more a mixture of rage and embarrassment. Steve grabs Loki's arms and Loki pulls them away. He touches his waist and Loki attempts to wriggle away from him, Steve continuing to laugh. Thor stands awkwardly behind them with his brow furrowed unsure whether to step in or what exactly was even happening. "Don't be such a tease, babe, why do you always have to be so cold-?"

Steve wraps his arms around Loki's waist and pulls him close to him, wedging Loki's arms between them. "Get—off of me, you drunk bastard!" Loki shoves his weight against Steve as hard as he can to break loose from him. He stumbles back slightly and laughs. Loki scowls at him, glancing behind him and then shoving Steve as hard as he can.

Falling into the water was a complete shock to his system. Steve sputters when he resurfaces and grabs for the side of the pool, hoisting himself up. He didn't quite know what happened…wasn't he talking to Loki? Why was he in the pool? People who had been watching were laughing now and a few were snapping pictures from their phones. Steve looks around and spots Thor in the back frowning and what looked like Loki disappearing into the crowd.
