Kate took up her X95 and made sure a round was in the chamber while Castle did the same.
They each took up one side of the alley just out of sight. "Jack?" Castle asks him to scan.
"There are three people down the alley just around the corner out of sight." Jack responds.
"The big one as anticipated is full of nanites." Jill adds.
"Three? One will be Frankie and one will be the woman we saw. Who's the third?" Kate asks softly.
"We need Frankie to come to us. Not a fan of going down that alley and walk into a trap." Castle points out. "Jack, how about a diversion to lure them to us?"
"One diversion coming up." Jack responds.
Jack's ability to give Richard a disguise is because he projects it around him. This same projection can be done at range just as well. Well within the scanning range of Jack anyway.
So Jack sends Richard's image down the alley until it is across from Frankie. Who sees Richard and steps out to rip him to shreds with his nails.
Jack has kept the image up against the far wall all the way down so while Frankie is trying to rip Richard limb from limb, he is also talking out large chunks of the brick wall of the building.
Jack is doing his best to avoid being hit while at the same time allowing the image to change and display blood as each hit takes place. All the while Jack is walking the two of them down the alley towards Castle and Kate.
Jack and Jill at the same time say "Now." And Castle and Kate step out and open fire. Having silencers on their weapons means the sound is muffled and not nearly as loud as it could be.
Castle has decided to alter the shooting a little and he empties his first clip into Frankie's left leg. Mostly at the knee cap. This has resulted in causing Frankie to severely slow his walk towards them.
Kate however has kept to the plan and does her best to empty her clip into Frankie's head. However having Frankie stumble from Castle's shots caused some of Kate's to miss their mark.
They both quickly ejected their spent clips and allow them to fall to the pavement while slapping in a fresh magazine and waste no time working at emptying that one as well.
Castle has gone back to work on the same knee joint and is rewarded for his efforts by watching his lower leg get almost sheared off right at the knee joint.
Kate however has emptied her clip into Frankie's head and is satisfied with the results as she sees him fall to the ground, after hearing him moan just before he does.
His lower leg was quickly repaired while they watched amazed.
They both quickly eject their empty magazines and slap in a fresh one just in time to see a small pale yellowish person coming screaming around the corner and charge them.
Castle quickly empties his magazine into the person while Kate holds her fire. "I'll get the girl, you call the operator for these two." And Castle walks forward past both of them in search of the girl.
"Jill dial the operator." Kate asks.
"Dialing."
"Operator."
"Code name Natasha Fatale, code Narf, Duh, 4418, Zeta Gamma 0000, Pink Submarine, Rock Hudson."
"Name and code verified. How may I help you?"
"I have a pick up for two at the following address." And Kate gives the address.
"Removal of the head is mandatory for the largest at time of pick-up. No exceptions." Kate adds.
"Wait one, ….. pick up will take place in 15 minutes." And the call ends.
Castle comes back carrying the girl a few minutes later. "Open the rear door for me." Castle asks her. And places her in the back seat.
Once done. "We've got about 12 minutes before pick –up." Kate tells him.
"Fine, we wait a little then." Castle tells her. And gets a questioning look from her. "When we reach 5 minutes I want you to empty your last clip into his head. That should keep him down until they get here." Castle explains.
Kate gives him an understanding look and a quick kiss to go with it.
Kate empties her last clip into his head and then hops into the car and takes the girl to the nearest hospital where she uses her badge to get her in.
As the two of them head out of the hospital and back to their car to go home. "Bracken has finally figured out that you were not part of the staff Richard. He has ordered all of the staff to be searched and verified. He has not yet caught on to having had his drink spiked." Jack informs them.
"Doesn't matter, it's too late for his kidneys anyway. They are already starting to shut down. By noon tomorrow they will have stopped working. About 24 hours later and he will start to feel the effects.
Then he will go seek medical treatment only to find out he needs dialysis within the next 24 hours or die." Castle is grinning.
"And so ends his bid for the Presidency." Kate points out. "That still doesn't make him pay for all those people or my mother Castle."
"I know this is not your style Kate, but trust me we are getting there. Knowing he is guilty and proving it is two different things. He will now pay to have his name moved to the top of the transplant list along with his Senator friends.
And with a little hacking from Jack who will send it the right people, his attempt will fail. And the people he paid to get to the top of the list will also be in trouble.
This will get the people who should be on that list back on it where they belong." Castle points out.
"And that will start an investigation into what else he has been doing. Since he is a presidential hopeful the press will be all over him." Kate adds happily.
"Correct, and he will do one of three things most likely. One, he will try and pull some strings and get back on that list or go overseas to have it done. Two, he will roll over and die. Three, he will lash out in an attempt to find me and take revenge for my ruining his plans." Castle lists what is most likely.
"He can't get away Castle. He has to pay." Kate doesn't like some of those three options.
"Not to worry Kate, he is too full of himself to run and hide. He'll do something stupid and we'll be there waiting for him. We just need to give him a little time to hang himself." Castle is sure.
They made it home satisfied with their efforts that evening and find that Martha had put Alexis to bed for the evening. Kate and Castle stayed up for a little while drinking a glass of wine discussing what to do next.
"Well tomorrow evening is dinner with our friends here at the house, along with a tour for all of them. That is followed by the weekend. Then about a week later will be Halloween." Castle points out the upcoming events.
"What did you and Alexis do during Halloween before?" Kate asks curious since Alexis is part hers now.
"Since we lived downtown we went to one of the bigger malls all dressed up. A lot of other families did the same and the stores would hand out candy to the kids. It was a nice safe place to do it, and the kids all got to see each other and compare costumes.
Not quite as much fun for me as it was for Alexis though." Castle tells her. Getting a questioning look from Kate.
"There would be all these single mothers walking their children around collecting candy. Some would recognize me through my disguise (costume) and decide they wanted to be the next Mrs. Castle.
I had to take a shower when we got home just to get the stink of it all off of me." Castle shivers at the memory.
"It can't be that bad Castle." Kate is not convinced.
"Well maybe we'll just have to let you see for yourself. Get you all dressed up in costume and walk around by yourself while watching Alexis and I go from store to store." Castle isn't suggesting. "Just leave your gun behind."
Kate accepts the offer and kisses him anyway.
Kate finds Alexis and Castle downstairs in the morning working on eating their breakfast, with her plate waiting for her.

4 slices bacon
4 Idaho potatoes, peeled and shredded
1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Kate got her coffee and her kiss as usual and drove Alexis into school before the weekend starting tomorrow.
However as Kate sipped her coffee while driving she quickly found that Castle had changed her coffee again.
Original Irish Coffee
1 cup freshly brewed hot coffee

1 jigger Irish whiskey (1 1/2 ounces or 3 tablespoons)

Turning on her computer once she got to her desk she found a couple of emails waiting for her. One was from Castle, that showed a recipe listing for tonight's dinner with friends and family.
Castle it appeared had gone all out. They were broken down into courses to be served. Appetizer first, then soup, followed by beans and rice. With the main course being Salmon followed by a traditional desert. Along with a dip for after dinner and a side to go with the main course. It was going to put both of their cooking skills to the test.
Kate sent back her approval of everything so Castle could go shopping for everything. So long as they didn't get a body drop Kate planned on leaving a little early to help. Castle was going to need it. She had found out he was a very good cook, just not sure he was this good.

All the workers were in holding pending booking. It was going to take them days to catalog all the stripped down cars and all the parts they found.
Kate had a lead! She wasted no time in getting them sent up to the interview room one at a time. She wanted to know where they had found the car. Accessory to kidnapping might get them to open their mouths a little.
Then she sent Castle a text telling him to forget going anywhere this weekend in case he was making plans. Finding Shawn's mother came first.
Castle meanwhile was on his computer after sending his food list for tonight for Kate to review. Then switched to finding someplace for them all to escape to this weekend.
A lot had happened lately and Rick was worried that he had put too much on Kate. Wichita having killed his own child and Kate finding out finally who had her mother killed. Amongst other things. He wanted her to unwind a little someplace.

I think i over did it with the recipes this time. I'll try and tone it down from now on, or make up for it by writing more pages than usual.
