Kim slowly began to stir and murmur to herself. Danny picked up on this, and shifted his position away from her. Bound or not, this girl was VERY dangerous.

She whimpered a bit more as she rose. When she sat up, she looked dazed – as if she had just come out of a relaxing dream.

Then panic took over. She whipped her head around when she realized she did not recognize her surroundings, and Danny almost chuckled by her look up utter confusion and not understanding. Her eyes instantly landed on the ghost boy when she heard his laughter, and the look she gave him – one of pure hatred and a little threat – was one that Danny relished in.

"Morning, Sleeping Beauty," he teased. Kim only glowered. Danny didn't want to be sadistic today, but she definitely deserved it after betraying him to such an extent. She suddenly tried to pull her hands apart and defend herself, but that was when she realized that she was tied up.

Danny watched over Kim as she understood that he had her tied up in a crazy universe. She looked terrified, but he knew she wouldn't show it. He stood up swiftly, and began to take a few steps toward her. Her breathing quickened as he grew closer, but he knew she could not break out of her restraints. He bent down to get in her eyelevel, as she was sitting.

"Hi, Kim. I think you've got some explaining to do," Danny smirked and took a seat opposite her.

"I owe you nothing," Kim spat.

Danny only sighed, trying his best not to let any of this betrayal get to him. "Look – all I want from you is an explanation. Tell me how you found out about me, who you are, your backstory, and anything else I want to know, and I'll let you go and even help you get out of this mess, but until you do that: we'll just sit here."

Kim huffed, "Please. You think I'm gonna fall for that trick of yours?"

"Have it your way," Danny shrugged, and reached for his GPS. He needed to figure out how to crack this password. He thought back to the letter Jazz had written him, specifically the part she had underlined: the day this all began.

The password had to be a date, right? But what was "this"? That could mean anything from his birthday, her birthday, the day he got his powers to the day she found out about them; it could mean the day that she told him she knew about them, the day he met Vlad, the day she found out Vlad was a ghost. Anything! But what one was it?

"Damnit, Jazz, you couldn't have made this easier for me?" he said aloud. He didn't mean to, but he always talked to himself when sorting out a problem.

"Jazz?" Kim piped up. Danny eyes widened. He hadn' tmeant for Kim to hear that.

"Do you mean Jazz Fenton?" she asked deeper. Danny didn't reply.

"Answer me!" Kim ordered, but that only made Danny laugh. "You don't get to ask me questions when you refuse to answer mine."

Kim didn't respond immediately, but she eventually huffed out, "Fine. What do you want to know?"

Danny smiled in triumph. Oh where to begin! He decided to start at the beginning.

"Okay. What's your name?"

"Ki-"

"Your real name?"

Kim sighed, "Kim Possible."

"What? No one's last name is 'Possible'" Danny argued.

"Well, mine is," Kim promised. Danny only rolled his eyes at the strange name and moved on to the next question.

"And Kim Wate was just an alias?"

"How do you know that name?" she asked skeptically.

"Just answer the question."

"Yes. The men who assigned me gave it to me," she answered.

Men? "Who assigned you?" Danny asked.

"I'm not even sure I know… These men who call themselves the Guys in White did at first. They're the ones who gave me a different last name, and told me to go by Kimberly. But then the mayor of all people turned out to be the one who told them to find me. So I guess the mayor was the top dog."

"What do you mean 'find you'? Why did they choose you?"

"Well… I sorta have this reputation as a 'hero' back home. I help people – it's what I do. So when I got the call to help this town that you haunt, I took it."

If Danny would have been drinking something, he surely would have spat it out in disbelief, "You? A hero?"

"Well I hunt down villains like you," Kim said nonchalantly.

Danny laughed. This girl had it all wrong. He was no villain! I mean, sure, he could've become one like Dan Phantom, but he didn't! He helped Amity Park. Although the fact that Kim thought Danny Phantom was a villain surely did explain a lot.

"You've got it all wrong. I'm no villain," Danny told her.

Kim only laughed. She clearly did NOT believe him. Danny rolled his eyes. Trying to get Kim to see him in his true light would be just as hard as getting his parents to.

"Well, moving on, where are you from?"

"A small town in Colorado called Amity Park."

"And that's where you do your 'hero' thing?"

"Yep."

"Hm-mh… so what's your life like in this town?" Danny asked. He wanted to know how much of Kim Wate's story was based on reality.

"I live with both my parents and my younger twin brothers. I go to Middleton High School, and captain my cheer squad. Oh, and save lives, like I've said before."

Danny couldn't hold it in any longer. "Okay, you are going to have to elaborate on this 'hero' business you have."

"Well first, it's not a business. I don't get paid. But anyways, it started back when I was in 7th grade. See, I've always wanted to help people, so when opportunity rang, I answered. I had a computer-genius friend of mine start a website explaining my services, and after months of no hits, someone finally called for me. It was the scientist guy who had accidently set off his own security lasers, and couldn't get to the other side to shut them off without getting singed.

"My friend Ron – he and I are a hero-team – went to the mansion and I used my cheerleading skills to get to the other side of the room without burning myself with the lasers to shut them off. Ever since, we've gotten lots of hits, and I've even saved the whole world."

"So how come I've never heard of you?"

"I'm not exactly famous, and I have no intention of being. I simply want to help people."

Danny was in awe. He hadn't expected this for an answer. Maybe he could trust her with his secret.

"Well than we have something in common: I'm bit of a hero myself."

"Psh, you? I'm not buying it."

"What? I am. You save people from lasers, I from ghosts."

"But uh, you're a ghost?" Kim reminded.

Danny glowered his eyes. Half ghost, he corrected to himself. He was about to explain himself when she continued.

"Ghosts can't feel morals. They have no sense of what's right and what's wrong. They just act on they're impulses. That's probably the only reason I'm here. You felt the need to figure out what's wrong, so you captured me, and asked me a thousand pointless questions, and I answered them in a dying effort to get out of this mess."

Danny looked at her in astonishment. "Do you really think that? That I have no sense of right and wrong? I risk my life every day to save the people of that town. Even the ones who probably don't deserve it," he told her, thinking of a certain blonde, brawny jock who owed Danny Phantom quite a few favors.

"Life? I think you mean death," Kim corrected.

Danny's eyes narrowed. Kim's know-it-all attitude was beginning to get on his nerves. She thought she knew so much about ghosts after experiencing them for two months. Danny had been doing this for over two years, and even before that he knew all about ghosts from his father's "bed time stories" which would often give him nightmares.

No, I meant alive, Danny told her in his mind. If only he could come out and say that he was a halfa.

"And no you don't have morals. You may think you do, though. Maybe your obsession is with humanity as a whole which is why you spend your free time terrorizing that poor town. But you should just give up. You'll never be human again. You had your time on Earth, and now it's time to spend eternity in this place you all the 'Ghost Zone'."

If only she knew how wrong she was. Danny was forced to experience everyday human tribulations. And then he also had to experience the side effects of being a ghost. But she was right about one thing.

"You're right… I'll never be human again…" Danny was forever damned to be stuck in between life and afterlife. He'd never live a normal life again; he would always have to hide a part of himself from the rest of the world, and right now, the rest of the world was Kim. He could never tell her his secret. She would never understand.

"Well, you've answered all the questions I have. Let's get you out of here." He walked over to undo her ties, but she backed away. "I'll get out by myself."

"No you won't. You have no idea where you are. You'll die out there without me," Danny argued.

"I'll die out there with you," Kim corrected.

Danny took a step back, pain fogging his glowing eyes. It really hurt that she thought of him that way: nothing more than a monster. But still, there was nothing more that Danny could do. He had tried to have a heart-warming conversation with her, and he even understood her reasons behind everything. But just like his parents, she could never believe that he was anything more than a ghost. And he would have to live with that.

"Don't be ridiculous. I'm helping you get out of here."

"Look, you're show of comfort and understanding was nice, but you can stop it now. I'll never fall for your sick ghost games."

Danny's eyes narrowed in anger, but he said nothing about her jab. Instead he took another advance towards her so he could help her get to her feet and get out of here. But she flinched again. "I said I can do it one my own!" she yelled.

"Well I'm telling you, you can't!" he yelled back, beginning to feel his patience hitch.

"I'll always be better off without a scheming vermon like you," she told him.

"WOULD YOU JUST SHUT THE HELL UP?" Danny screamed, green eyes burning a hole through her corneas in his anger.

"NO! I don't think I will. Why do you want to help me get out of the place you put me?"

"Because I like you, okay? I really, really like you, and I don't want to see you die!" Danny shouted. The Girl in White's eyes grew large.

"You what?" She was clearly disgusted. "How on Earth do you like me? I'm your enemy! I've been hunting you down for the past two months!" she argued.

It was like every wall he had built around himself came crumbling down with one blow, and Danny couldn't stop the word vomit that flooded from his mouth. Danny only chuckled a sad, dry laugh. "Enemies? Ha, try friends."

"You're a ghost! You don't even have feelings – you just obsess. It's what ties you to the mortal world. Plus, this is our first real conversation. Do you obsess over things that quickly?"

"Damnit Kim! I don't understand how you can be so close-minded!" Danny argued.

"And I don't understand what your deal is? This obsession with me needs to stop, and now."

"Obsession? Is that all our friendship was to you? Just an obsession?"

"Friendship! I think your turtleneck is a little too tight. We are not friends. We fight each other, remember?"

"We do both…" Danny murmured to himself.

"What was that?" Kim obviously hadn't heard him, and Danny thought it best.

"When will you understand all the hints I've been dropping?" Danny begged.

"Hints? Hints at what? Your crazy obsession with me?"

Danny stood up in one motion, and walked over to her – not stopping when she tried to back away. He bent down, and undid all of her ties. She looked at her hands and feet – free – and then back to Phantom.

"Why did you…"

"Go! Die out there as you try to get back. But don't say I didn't warn you. Your fancy suit will offer you no help out here."

"Why do you want to help me? What do you gain from it?"

"Knowing that you're safe!" Danny responded in an angry shout

"What do you care? If this place kills me, it makes your job easier!"

"I have never wanted to fight you! I NEVER start our fights. That's you! Always you! And only because the flipping mayor told you to! Not all ghosts are evil, okay?"

"What's that suppose to mean?"

"Never mind. Forget I said anything. Just turn and fly away for as long as your suit will hold you. 'Make my job easier'," Danny quoted.

"I don't understand you! First, you seem to know all of this crazy stuff about my fake life in Amity Park. Then, you pretend to open up to me by this crazy assumption of not being that different. Next, you offer to help me out of here only to say that you have this infatuation with me. Then, you want me to leave and take care of myself, and now, you're saying you're not evil? That you're a 'good' ghost or something?"

"Of course you don't understand me. You could never understand me and I was stupid to think otherwise."

"If you would elaborate on anything that comes rolling out your mouth maybe I could try!"

"But you don't even want to! You have this crazy idea that all ghosts are evil without reason. Well this is me telling you that they're not! I've experienced ghosts first hand for two years now, and I can honestly tell you plenty are just happy creatures."

"You've only been dead two years?"

Danny rolled his eyes. THAT'S what she got out of the sentence.

Kim looked at the ground, and cross her arms, which were no longer bound. "How'd you die?" She was trying to change the subject.

"I didn't," he said blatantly.

Kim looked back up at him with a confused stare.

"Look," Danny breathed. It was now or never. Maybe he would try putting his faith in people. It seemed to work for Kim… sorta. "You wanna know how I know everything about Kim Wate? It's because I'm not just 'Phantom'", he managed to get out. "I'm… I'm… a person in your life, too."

Kim didn't have time to respond. He wouldn't give her that luxury. Danny immediately stood up, and noticed Kim's breathing hitch in fear when he did so, but he needed to do this. He looked at her with a sad expression, and closed his bright green eyes. Immediately, a belt of energy appeared at his waist.

Kim squinted at the brightness. It stung her eyes, but she fought to keep them open. A hot white light suddenly appeared at the ghost's abdomen, and seemed to simply hover there. She opened her mouth to ask Phantom what he was doing, but immediately closed it when the ring began to quiver.

It suddenly split in two that began to move away from each other. Kim's eyes followed the upper circle. It dragged across his torso, and seemed to be cleansing his body when it passed, revealing a white shirt. It wasn't until the hoop had completely journeyed past his shoulders that she realized she recognized his new attire. She had seen that same shirt multiple times on Danny Fenton.

But the ring didn't stop there. It continued, encasing his chin, cheeks, ears, and nose, and even passing his eyebrows. When it reached the tips of his bangs, Kim noticed they're usual white glow fade to a raven black. The hoop disintegrated above the ghost's head.

Meanwhile, the lower hoop descended down Danny's body, and came in contact with his thighs, knees, and calves, changing all of those things to the jeans that he often wore while human. It changed his traditional ghost boots to his ordinary red all stars.

When both rings had completely disappeared, the Phantom opened his eyes, which seemed to stare through Kim.

She tried to stay mute, but a small gasp escaped her lips when she stared into his baby blue orbs.

Danny opened his eyes when the energy flooding his insides suddenly stopped. They no longer tingled with excitement, as they did when he transformed between forms.

He heard a gasp escape the mouth of the ginger, breathed in slowly. He had to think with a level head. He looked towards her, but found it difficult to lock eyes with so, instead gazed at her thin, smooth eyebrows, so the two never really connected.

"Danny?" she asked in disbelief.

The boy with the raven hair and blue eyes didn't move, but only glared at her. Kim simply shook her head. "No… nononono. You… you're not Danny… you're… you have ghost powers, and… and…"

She couldn't even formulate sentences without sounding like a total moron. But could he blame her? She was beyond confusion, already experienced bewilderment, and was on the road to insanity. Danny always suspected that would be the reaction.

"Let me explain," he began – suddenly calm – and walked towards her. Kim couldn't help it. It was her natural instincts to back away. It hurt that she didn't trust him even in human form, but she wasn't attacking, so Danny considered it a positive response.

Danny sat down next to her, and stared off into the green mess.

"Okay," he began. "Before you jump to any conclusions about anything, I want to make sure you understand that I am Danny Fenton."

"But you just showed me that you're Phantom," Kim argued.

Danny sighed, and rubbed at his eyes. "I'm both. Danny Fenton and Danny Phantom are the same person."

Kim's silence illustrated to Danny that she did not in fact understand. Danny continued.

"Well, I'm sorta a hybrid… I mean no one really uses that term… but it's certainly better than 'halfa'!"

Kim stared blankly at him, and Danny realized explaining this was going to be near impossible. She already knew so little about ghosts to begin with! He'd have to start with the things that would make the most sense.

"Right… so do you remember my parent's lab? Well if you haven't put two and two together yet, my parents are ghost scientists. They observe and research ghosts, and figure out ways to trap them in the Ghost Zone. If you can place that basement in your mind, and you remember that hexagon-shape thingy; well that's the ghost portal. When I was a freshman, my parents installed that in there, and they were really disappointed because it didn't work. They plugged it in, but nothing happened. A few days afterward, Sam and Tucker came over and thought that the empty portal was the coolest thing ever. On a dare, I stepped into the portal wearing a white and black hazmat suit. To this day, I am not 100% sure what happened because I black out. I think I must've hit something inside the portal, and turned the power on. Because my parents had already plugged it in, the electric shock of ectoplasm hit me, and entwined with my flesh.

"Like I said, I'm a bit fuzzy on the details, but I woke up looking into Sam's eyes, and she had this scared look on her face. I saw her with this odd clarity, and noticed the hair hanging in my eyes was white. Naturally, I rushed to the mirror where I found what you know me to as 'Phantom'."

"Wait, Sam and Tucker both know about… this?" Kim clarified.

"Er… and Jazz," Danny added.

"And Jazz?" Kim was astounded they'd all been able to keep this from her. "Who else?"

"That's… that's it," Danny stuttered. He was going to bring up Vlad, but ended up thinking against it. She'd find all that out soon enough.

"You're parents?" Kim asked, simply thinking he'd forgotten to mention them.

"No." He said plainly. Kim couldn't hold back her look of surprise. Her parents knew everything about her. They had a mutual trust that Kim had only attempted to break once, and it was one of the biggest mistakes of her life.

"They don't?"

"It's not like I haven't thought about telling them, it's just that they couldn't understand. They're ghost hunters; I am a ghost."

"So then you are a ghost?" Kim questioned, getting back to their initial topic.

"Partially, yes. But I'm also human. I told you. Something happened to me in that portal, and now I'm this thing in between human and ghost. I'll never be fully human again nor can I ever become fully ghost."

"So before this accident, you were completely, untainted human?" Kim clarified.

Danny's only response was a nod. Kim then nodded in return. "Wow… I mean, this is a lot to take in."

"Tell me about it," Danny agreed, having also found out about Kim's secret.

"So if I'm understanding you correctly, you're not a villain at all. You consider yourself a hero?"

"Well 'hero' implies I've never made a mistake, which I DEFINITELY have. I try my best to judge whether a ghost is minding their business or causing trouble, but the line sometimes gets blurry. So I think hero is the wrong term. I think of myself as a simple minded ghost who's trying to protect his town from the more evil ghosts."

"Maybe we're not so different…" Kim observed, mostly to herself. Danny smiled at that comment, and stood up. He was happy to see that she didn't flinch – not even when he extended his hand to help her up.

"So, now back to my questionnaire. Why did you start attacking me?" Danny asked.

Kim sighed. She felt guilt about the whole thing now, and realized that she didn't want to talk about this, but at the same time knew she had to. She began as simply as possible. "Well, I told you the gist of it: I was asked to do it. These 'Guys in White' told me you were evil, and I blindly trusted because I figured they had to be the good guys, you know being government employed and all. And then when the MAYOR of all people came, I just couldn't think there was something wrong with him. I mean, he's the elected mayor, right?"

"Well… Mayor Masters, or Plasmius as I call him, is sorta… well… he's half ghost, too," Danny told her.

"He's WHAT?" Kim was in shock.

"Yeah… but he's not a good half ghost. I save people and he uses them. He's sorta my arch enemy, to put it shortly."

"Your arch-enemy? Jesus Christ… wait a minute," Kim replied.

"Yea?"

"He's a half-ghost… you're a half-ghost. He told me I can't trust you and you're telling me I can't trust him. How do I know who to believe."

Danny was afraid she'd ask that. He honestly didn't have an answer. He sighed at how cliché his next sentence sounded, but it was the only appropriate answer.

"I guess you'll just have to trust me."

"Blindly?" Kim clarified, as she had no proof.

"Blindly," Danny answered and nodded.

Kim could only chuckle. She'd gotten in this mess for trusting a half ghost whose human form was nice, and she was literally making the same mistake again. And yet, he felt something was different about him.

"So what are we gonna do about this Plasmius guy?"

"We?" Danny asked.

Kim laughed, "Of course, silly. This guy tricked me too remember?"

Danny smiled back, and shrugged. "This isn't the first problem he's caused. I just wish I could get him out of my life permanently."

"Maybe we can," Kim offered.

"It's not that simple," he explained.

Kim only shrugged, "Not if it's just you and me, but what if we pulled together an army?"

Danny choked on his own laughter. "An army?"

Kim nodded in response.

"And where are we getting this army from?" he laughed – only half serious.

"I know a handful of people who'll be willing to help," she smiled, thinking of her hometown. "And all those people have pretty suffiecient resources."

Danny nodded, beginning to put his trust in Kim as well. "Okay," he answered. "Let's do it. Let's defeat Plasmius."

"Together." Kim clarified.

"Together." Danny agreed.

"But first things first: let's get out of here," he smiled warmly, and helped her up.

"Which way do we go?" Kim asked.

"That's where this comes into play," Danny responded and held out the Infi-Map.

"What's that?" Kim asked.

"This is what is going to help us get out of here. At least, I hope. If anything it'll help us get back to our first stop."

"And where's that?" Kim asked of him.

"The Realm of the Far Frozen."

Kim shivered at the name. Danny noticed this, and added, "Don't worry. These guys are friends."

He held the map into the air, and roughly grabbed Kim by the wrist. "Take me to Frostbite's home," Danny yelled, and he felt the familiar tugging feeling at his waist as he was sucked into the map.

A/N: Sorry that this chapter was so dialogue based! I tried for it not to be, but the basis of the chapter revolves around their conversation! I really want to apologize for the lack of description, and I hope I make up for it in the next chapter!

I'm hoping to bring in lots of Kim Possible characters in the next few chapters, so if you have any requests please review or PM me! I'll do my best
Although, I could make this really fun ;)
The first 10 DIFFERENT characters reviewed will be part of the story. The rest, there is no guarantee.

On that note, please review! It means so so so much. I'll know you read the chapter instead of ignoring the little email update, lol. Even if you just review a single word, it brightens my day :)
