"NEW ORDER"
"SECOND SEARCH"
Byron
I walk outside, under the dark sky and the bright moon. My scarf waves to the direction where the cool gust of wind blows. I make a shiver as the wind keeps on getting cooler. I pull the front part of the scarf to my mouth and insert my hands into my pockets. This my second
I remember the time I fail to retrieve the Omni-orb because I search at the wrong location; at Mt. Duvenele. I was sure at it though, The Fallen Castle where The Great Kings of Kings Kingdom is located is in it. "The Omni-orb is in Mt. Duvenele without a doubt."
The Lightning Wizard only stopped me from searching around the area. He read my mind and knew that I was an enemy to him. "Maybe, he wanted to stop me from retrieving the orb."
What if he's telling the truth? Should I move on to Mt. Duvenele and resume my search there? Or should I believe him and search for another route? If I change direction, where can I find it when I don't even know where to start? I ask these series of questions in my head.
"You have too many questions," I turn to see an old man in brown and long clothing (like wearing used rags) walks to my left. "But there is only one answer."
"Don't get near me! I know who you are!" I point "The man whom I thought to be was an ordinary Normal in Duvenele Village…"
"Yes, I am the Lightning Wizard," He smirks "Long time no see."
"You're not escaping me this time!" I ball my hand and a dark energy ball forms around my fist. "Nor would I let you have the chance to fight back."
I throw my blast my energy at him, but suddenly a flash of lightning appears before me, like a flash of a camera. This flash is ten times than a usual camera. It was the lightning maybe that struck me; from the Lightning Wizard himself. Maybe, that's why he came for me, to finish me off by using his new magic trick; just for me.
After the flash, my eyes blur and dizziness craze my head. I land my butt to the ground in sitting position. I massage my head and rub my eyes off. "Is this Shadowland? Am I already a Half-Light?"
"You're not dead idiot!" a voice says; more like the Lightning Wizard's
My eyes fix on my surrounding. Garfunkel's is not on sight; even the destroyed buildings surrounding it. I'm not in Liberty Town anymore. Instead, I'm in a familiar place, but I can't remember where. "Where am I?"
"You're-I mean—we are in Duvenele Village." He says "We have been teleported to the same place where we fought."
I look around once more "So it is the Duvenele Village after all," I look at him, just standing two meters from me. "Why did you take me here?"
He walks to me, "I thought you were looking for the Omni-orb?"
"It was here all along?!" I frustratingly yell, "You told me that it was not here!"
"You asked me where the Fallen Castle was, not the Omni-orb." He says "For additional information, the Omni-orb cannot be found in the Fallen Castle nor in The Great Kings of Kings Kingdom, because they were not here in Wiccun Nationae; only the orb can be found here. Remember, not all legends are true. "
"I-I-" I stutter and cut, "I receive the wrong information, didn't I?"
He makes a heavy sigh and walks past me, "The Omni-orb tells the facts and truths of what happened from the past to the present. It was created by Wizard Francescos AllGoodness, the wise man of this kingdom Wiccun Nationae."
I look at him in surprise, "Wizard Francescos AllGoodness?" The last name rings a bell.
"If you are thinking about the Allgood Family name, yes, you are correct," He turns to me and looks at me in the eye, "Benjamin Allgood is the descendant of Wizard Francescos AllGoodness."
I nod slowly. "The Allgoods have a sense of background in this kingdom."
"The AllGoodness descendants were the guardians to the orb," he explains "Benjamin's older brother was at that time, the guardian when the Neone Ordaseille Rebellions begun. When they attacked this nation, He ran away and fought those necromancers who wanted to take away the orb. After running and fighting, wounds and scars are slashed across his body, bleeding him to death" he stops, like he doesn't want to continue the story anymore.
"And then?"
"And then…," he continues this time in a low voice "his eyes glanced into mine. I know he was going to die at that time, so I came to his aid. He told me to be the next guardian over the orb, until another Allgood will watch over it. That's when he passed away…"
"Oh," I bow my head down "I'm sorry."
"That's when I disappeared in the battle. Most of my fellowmen thought I was killed in the fighting. When we lost the war and the nation was conquered by the invaders, the necromancers tried to find for the orb, up until to this day."
"Was the Omni-orb known across the land?" I ask.
"To the Five Kingdoms, yes it was known since its birth but to the Normals," he shakes his head "they say it's legend."
Then he leaves me behind, up to the mountain. I ask "Hey! Where are you going?"
"Don't you want to find the orb?" he asks "Follow me!"
After a few minutes of walking up the mountain, I see a castle on top of the mountain's peak. It shows only the silhouette of the castle because it is snowing and it is very dark.
"That's that!" the wizard exclaims, "The Duvenele Castle, the capital's castle."
"You hid the Omni-orb there." I point
"Yes," he says "For more than a decade."
"Wouldn't the enemy find it when you are away?"
"Don't worry, it is safely hidden within the castle." He says "No one can ever dare touch it, except me."
We enter the big doors of the castle. It was dusty and dark; only the rays of the moon shine through the roof's holes. Some of the walls trembled inward, creating a huge hole. Shatter pieces of glass fell on beside the windows.
"So where is it?" I ask "is it within this room?"
"In this very room, the throne room" He steps on the middle of the room, he closes his eyes, semi-circles his right hand upward and his left, downward. He makes more hand movements, until he clasps them together horizontally. A sudden glow light shines between his hands and a rushing wind spirals around him. Then around me is space; a universe of twinkling stars. The wizard opens his eyes quickly and light glows out of it. Then, aurora borealis flies across the sky. He opens both hands and appears the Omni-orb. The orb is smaller than a basketball and bigger than a baseball. It's glowing fiery violet.
"Byron Swain, come here." His voice booms and echoes across the room.
I slowly walk to him. Honestly, I'm scared of what's going to happen.
"Be not afraid. Come closer and take it."
I walk closer and my hands begin to shake as my hands get nearer to it. Then I place my hand on the orb.
Suddenly, I black out. I feel my body falls to the ground. I don't why I faint out, not even a single sting of electricity goes into me, nor something that could hit me could let me faint.
I open my eyes and blink twice. I am floating in a black and blank space; a blank space of nothing.
"Greetings," a voice greets and echoes out of nowhere "I am the Omni-orb, the all knowing, because I am the past and the present. Every event from the past to the very detail that man had never knew." He continues, "Before I begin, what is your name?"
"Oh-uh-my name is Byron Swain."
"True, your name is Byron Swain," He stops "but your real name is…Byron Salvatore."
