Once upon a time almost 400 years ago dragons and humans were at war the humans and dragons fought for 100 long years of fighting the prince of the dragons Natsu was taking a walk when he happened upon a young maiden he had no idea she was the princess of the humans Lucy Heart. Her dress was caught in between two large rocks. Natsu helped to free her by smashing the rocks. After he freed her she ran for she was greatly afraid of dragons. Prince Natsu sighed and returned home to his father king Igneel.
"Father why do we fight the humans" Natsu asked that night.
"I'm not sure son the fighting started when my grandfather was a boy".
Natsu went to his room thinking I have to see that girl again. The very next day Natsu left his castle and made his way on the long journey to the kingdom of the humans. Along the way he met a loyal knight Happy. Happy joined him and they traveled for days till they had finally reached the border were most of the fighting was occurring. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the girl passed out on the ground. She had been about to cross the border when a dragon had accidentally hit her with his tail. Natsu sees the gash on her head and calls for his sister Wendy who could heal anything. Once Wendy healed her she ran off not wanting to get caught helping a human. Natsu stayed by her side waiting for her to wake. Lucy then wakes with a start "where am I Who are you and why did you help me you're a Dragon?" she questioned.
Natsu replied " I am Natsu Drag prince of the Dragons and I wanted to help you cause I am not like the other dragons I have a kind heart".
"well I am Princess Lucy Heart and I thank you fair Natsu" She gives him a kiss " I wish our fathers could see what you have done and end this fighting before anyone else gets hurt" Lucy states " why not tell them yourselves?" knight Happy asks.
"My father never even knows when I have gone somewhere" Lucy says sadly. "Then we shall tell my father and get him to stop this war" Natsu states.
"Climb on my back I shall fly you there it is faster that way" Natsu says as he leans down to her level. Lucy climbs on his back"please go slow for this is my first time flying".
Natsu jumps into the sky and flies slowly to his castle. Once they get to the castle Natsu lands in front of his father.
"What is a human doing here!" his father roars.
Natsu stands in front of her "I wish to marry her, Father to end this war."
"I will never allow this!" His father roars.
"but I Love her, father. You must allow this"Natsu pleads with his father for many days till Lucy goes to Igneel.
"Sir I know you do not like us humans but do you really want to lose your son because you don't want him to marry me?" She asks with a serious face.
"Well no but how can I trust you love him the way he says you do?" Igneel asks. Lucy thinks for hours then comes back to Igneel "I love him so much that in my next four lives we shall find each other and marry even if you don't allow it now." Igneel was shocked by this answer and states "then you two can marry in the morning"
Lucy runs off to tell Natsu. Once Natsu has heard his father approved he had never been happier. And just like his father said the next day they were married at sunset. During their first kiss as husband and wife Natsu took the form of a human and they lived happily ever after meeting again and falling in love in every life after that for the past 400
