Hey sorry this chapter has taken so long. I had an original idea and then a review from D3nsei made me think if another way of making, however I had a harder time trying to get it work the way I had it in my head. Hope it was worth the wait, but I have to warn you, you're all probably going to hate me after this. But please keep reviewing and commenting you keep me going. MAURA'S VIEW.
Mmmmmmmm. What a night. I could practically feel myself glowing. When I turned over to see Jane, my glow quickly died. There was an empty space where Jane should have been.
"Jane?" I got out of bed and walked into the kitchen, maybe she just got up early. "Jane, are you in here?" Nothing, except for a note against a flask.
Morning Maura,
Sorry for leaving early, I needed to pick some stuff up from my house. I didn't want to wake you, you looked so peaceful. I was wondering if you wanted to meet for lunch. We really need to talk about some things. I know a nice café around the corner from the school (and before you panic, we can go out of school for lunch.) I'll meet you at the front of the school at the start of lunch. I made you some coffee, should still be hot if you're reading this as early as I'm sure you will.
Jane
Why would she leave early, I can drive her to her house. I hope she's okay. Last night happened so fast, maybe she's having second thoughts. What if I did something? Oh god. I took the flask and had a sip of coffee.
"Instant! She gave me instant. I don't even own instant, where did she get it from?"

I got to the school a bit earlier then I had to, hoping to get the letter for Jane for the baseball match. I really do hope she likes the surprise. As I was leaving the staff room I bumped into Mr Hoyt.
"Oh Professor Isles, I am so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." I really have a thing about bumping into people at this spot. I managed to drop my papers on the floor again. "Here, let me give you a hand." He picked up the baseball sheet for Jane and studied it intensely. "What is this?" I took the sheet from his hand.
"It's a baseball game. I had Coach Higgins put Jane on the team sheet. Why do you ask?"
"Just a curious teacher who wants to support his school."
"Oh well I think it's an away game, so I don't know if you can make it." I turned away. I hope he doesn't come, he makes Jane feel so uncomfortable.
The bell went for 1st lesson. Wait, I was teaching Jane, I can't believe I forgot.

Jane didn't say a word to anyone during biology. Not even frost. When Kate tried getting a rise out of her, she barely even flinched. By the end of the lesson I needed to find out what was wrong. She left early this morning, and now she won't even look at me. The bell goes.
"Jane could you come here for a quick word please?" she got up from her desk and walked over to mine. Shoulders down, head down. What did I do? I got up from my chair and met her at the front of the desk.
"Jane, are you okay? You haven't said a word to me all day." She finally looked up. Her face a complete blank. She is very good at not giving much away.
"Yeah. Just got a lot of stuff on my plate. With exams and stuff you know." Her face may hide everything, but her words seem to let her down.
"Okay. Well you know that if anything is wrong you can always speak to me or the headmistress. We're here to help, always." Her head turned towards my desk.
"Yeah I know. It's just the stress and revision. I can handle it." She paused. But as she was speaking she raised her left eyebrow, I knew she was lying. "What's that?" I turned my head to see what she was looking at. The team sheet.
"It's a baseball match."
"Game. Baseball game. Why do you have a team sheet?" Okay now I know how everyone else feels when I correct them.
"Well, yesterday I asked the coach if he would put you in for a game. I know how much fun you have when you play, I also know how competitive you can be. So I figured why not." We sat in silence for a moment whilst she stared at the sheet. My stomach was in complete knots. Then she finally moved, and looked up at me.
"Maura, this is… I'm so… I don't even know what to say." I took her hand in mine, and gave her the reassurance she clearly needed.
"Just say that you'll play." She looked at me with those loving eyes. Love. I wish I had the confidence to say that to her.
"I'll play, if you can answer me a question." This seemed odd but as long as it means she will play, I am happy to go along with anything that crazy mind of hers can come up with.
"Yay. What's the question?"
"Well, it's sort of two questions in one."
"That's fine. Now come on, spit it out."
"When people sleep talk, why do they say what they say and do they ever know what their saying?"
"What on earth are you talking about?" Now I was really confused.
"Can you please just answer the question and I will explain from there." She started to sound irritated.
"Um, okay. Well when a person is asleep their subconscious takes over. So anything the person truly thinks or feels, they might say if they sleep talk. A person can't lie when they are sleeping because that part of the brain is shut off when thy sleep. And to answer the second part to the question, no, the person won't have any recollection of saying it. But what they say is the truth. Jane why do you want to know about sleep talking?"
"Last night when you were sleeping, I was awake and you started sleep talking."
"Oh I see, so what embarrassing information did I say about myself?"
"You said, Jane Rizzoli, I think I love you." Oh shit.
"Jane, I…" What was I supposed to say? "Wait, was that why you left so early this morning?" She looked down at her feet. It was the reason she left. "Jane…"
"Maybe last night was a mistake." My heart shattered into a million pieces. "I mean, emotions were running so high after the talk and you were there and you looked so…" I waved my hand. A mistake. I don't believe it. I won't believe.
"Ms Rizzoli, please leave my classroom." I spoke so quietly I wasn't sure if she even heard me. I turned away slowly and headed for my seat.
"Maura plea…"
"Get out of my classroom now!" Now I was just full on screaming, and I could see on her face that she got the message. She left without another word. And as I sat back down into my chair, I couldn't hold back the tears any more. My heart was just ripped from my chest and put through the shredder. At least I had a free session, so I could cry myself out before I had to see anyone else.
