Couldn't keep you guys waiting for too long. Sorry that the last chapter was so harsh, but it gives me some really good ideas. With every relationship, there will always be problems, and Jane and Maura won't be any different. Hope everyone likes it and soon I might try doing a little competition, and the winner can choose the idea behind one of the chapters. Competitions coming soon, so keep your eyes open. JANE'S VIEW.

I was just running. I didn't know where, or why. I just ran. Away. As far away as possible. I just broke Maura's heart. And I think I broke mine in the process too. Why did I say that last night was a mistake? That is the last it was. Last night was amazing. I just wasn't ready to admit to her or even myself how I feel about us.

"Hey Jane."

"Korsak." I almost ran straight into him.

"Are you okay? Did Hoyt get too close again?"

"No. No. Nothing to do with Hoyt."

"Then what's up, you never cry over anything." I had been crying I hadn't even noticed.

"Nothing it's just… well I guess I… you know what can we talk some other time, I have to get to my next lesson." Like hell I was going to class.

"Yeah sure no prob. Just come find me in the canteen at lunch alright." I nodded and walked on. The tree, that's where I could go.

Sitting in the tree, and I really thought it would just be easier to fall out of it. I had never seen Maura so angry. I had never even seen her upset. At least not to the point of screaming. Why am I such an idiot when it comes to liking people?

"Jane?" That wasn't Maura, Korsak, or Frost. "Jane, are you up there? I know you are, I saw you climbing." Emily? "Jane can you please say something?"

"What are you doing here? Aren't you worried Kate might see you?"

"I don't care about Kate. I remember that when you got angry or sad you would climb up the biggest tree you could find." She was right. It was my way of escaping.

"That still doesn't explain why you're here."

"I'll explain if you come down. I hate yelling at you when you're in the tree."

"Fine. Wait there." I slowly made my way down to hear what she had to say. I could easily climb back up if I didn't like what I was hearing. As I jumped down from the last branch I squared up to Emily, and looked her straight in the eye. "So, why are you here?"

"I heard you and Professor Isles talking." Oh fuck. I crossed my arms and took a step back.

"So what exactly did you hear?"

"Enough to know that she's your girlfriend that everyone is talking about. And before you completely freak out, I am the only one who knows. I promise." Okay that's slightly reassuring.

"So are you going to go and blab to Kate and tell her all about the love affair." I sarcastically emphasised the last two words.

"No of course not. Why would I want to hurt someone who cared for me." Okay that touched a nerve I thought died.

"Please don't…" She cut me off before I could finish. She took hold of me by the arms. For a small girl, she's got some serious guns on those arms. "Hey what are you doing?"

"Jane, I need you to keep quiet for the next minute while I explain something." I nodded, mostly out of fear, and partly from curiosity. She slowly let go of my arms. "Jane that night when we were in the 8th grade, things were complicated. Kate was the one person at school who could make or break me. And as one of the people who had never been anything, it was nice to be someone for once." Great so I was sold out for popularity contest.

"When Kate came into the room, I panicked. I never meant to hurt you. It's just what happened, and a single day hasn't gone by when I don't wish I could do it all over again. I'm not saying I'm in love with you because I'm not." Gee thanks. "But what I am saying is that you shouldn't do to Professor Isles, what I did to you. And that's ruin something, before it is even anything." She makes a valid point. She's stopped speaking.

"Can I talk now?"

"Yes." She laughed and then smiled at me.

"So, from your past experience, what do you think I should do? I have basically wrecked the whole thing between us."

"You need to something for her, or even to her, that show her just how much you truly do care." I stared at her, fascinated that she could be this sweet to me, even after all the hell we put each other through.

"Emily!" Someone called her from the other side of the field. We both moved to see who was yelling. Kate.

"I better go." How can Kate treat Emily like she is some kind of slave, she is the kindest person ever, and Kate treats her like garbage.

"Thank you. For your help. Take care of yourself okay?"

"I'll do my best. And I hope thing work out for you. I really do. You and Professor Isles look like you would make a cute couple." She turned away and those last words lingered in my head a while after that. As I climbed back up the tree I was thinking of ways to try and make it up to Maura. She deserved better than I was giving her. So I had to somehow give her more.

For the rest of the day I couldn't think of anything else except for how to get Maura back. Plans were plotting in my mind, and I think I had just about figured out how to make Maura feel wanted again. Last lesson. What did I have? Oh come on! English.

"Good afternoon class. If you would all please continue with the chapter from last lesson." I leaned over to Joey and asked for his noted from last lesson, I was a bit distracted with why I got a C on my test.

By the end of the lesson I was convinced Mr Hoyt had finally gotten the hint that he should stay away from me.

"Ms Rizzoli. A word please." Fuck, spoke to soon.

"Hey Joey, do you mind just waiting at the door please? I'd rather have a witness here."

"No problem." I walked up to Hoyt's desk but made sure to stand at least 4 feet from it. A safe enough distance hopefully.

"Ms Rizzoli, I was informed you went to the headmistress about your last test paper marks. If you are unhappy with anything, you can always come to see me about it after school." I had to make sure I kept breathing otherwise I might actually punch him.

"I'm afraid this was something I felt needed to be handled by a higher command." He nodded and then looked down at his desk, moved some papers then changed his gaze back to me.

"I also noticed you were in a baseball game next week. I look forward to seeing you play." How the fuck does he know about that?

"Uh, I'm not sure if could make it, we have to leave the school during 5th period, meaning I will not be here during the lesson on Monday."

"Oh what a shame. Well I wish you the best of luck with it anyway. You are dismissed." I couldn't turn around and walk out any faster. I grabbed Joey by the jacket sleeve and pulled him through the hallway. Fuck that man freaks the hell out of me. But nothing is going to distract me getting Maura back. Not even him.

Sorry to all that feel this was a bit of a rough scene for Jane. Please comment and review about how you think Jane might win back Maura. I have an idea already but I love to hear what you all have to say. This isn't the competition, but the winner will get to do the same sort of thing. Have fun.
