Anonymous: "Kens, did you notice that you're starting to waddle?"
"Whoa there dude- I'd shut up if I were you."
"I didn't mean it as an insult."
She continues walking, but picks up a slightly faster pace. "In what instance can that be a compliment?"
"Ummm…. I could be comparing you to penguins! Penguins are cute!"
"I'm pregnant, not a penguin, you asshole."
He laughs- quite a bit louder than usual. "That should be on a tee shirt, oh my god-"
"Deeks!"
"I'm sorry babe. I'm really sorry."
He doesn't look sorry. "You don't look sorry."
"I am. I'm really sorry."
She narrows her eyes and grabs his hand as they continue walking. "We'll ask Sam and Callen about that."
"Why do you look like you're about to kill me?"
Kensi just chuckles, failing to acknowledge the question.
"That was an oddly menacing laugh."
"Was it?"
"Yeah."
"Huh. I didn't notice."
Deeks scrunches up his nose. "Are you gonna kill me because I called you a penguin?"
She laughs again, a bit more softly this time, and shakes her head. "No. I'm just gonna feed you to the wolves."
He lifts his eyebrows. "Are there wolves here? Literal wolves? I love wolves!"
"No, Deeks." She pulls open the door to the cafe where they're supposed to be meeting Sam and Callen, looks around to find them, then points to a booth in the back corner. "Those wolves."
He whines and sticks out his lower lip before begrudgingly stomping inside. "They're worse than actual wolves."
Kensi grins, whispering, "I'm gonna tell 'em you said that, too."
